Glen E. Jergensen
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. -- Graveside services with military honors for Ardmore resident Glen Edmund Jergensen, 77, will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Neb. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Gary Bohannan officiating.
Born Feb. 1, 1920, to Ole L. and Alma W. Wicklund Jergensen at Gothenburg, Neb., he died Sept. 6, 1997, in Ardmore.
He married Florence M. "Pat" Gale March 5, 1939, in North Platte. He joined the Navy during World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. He retired as an electrician with the City of North Platte in November 1976. He and his wife moved to Ardmore about 15 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, of Tulsa; four daughters, Joyce Nichols, Birmingham, Ala., Janice Van Pelt and Patti Bohannan, both of Tyler, Texas, and Pamela Kaiser, Houston; two sons, Gail Jergensen, Longmont, Colo., and Gary Jergensen, Tulsa; three sisters, Viola Hinman, Bertha Maline and Lorena Huffman, all of North Platte; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Rose and Pearl Boman.
Visitation will 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday at the Adams and Swanson Funeral Home, North Platte.

Doris Jean Follis
Services for Doris Jean Follis will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Fite officiating. Assisting will be the Rev. Doug Faulkner of the Southwest Baptist Church. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
Mrs. Follis was born April 28, 1927, in St. Jo, Texas, to George Cole and Daisy Carrie Brown Henley. She passed from this life Sept. 9, 1997, in the Ardmore hospital.
She lived in the Ardmore area most of her life and was a member of the Southwest Baptist Church. She worked as a sales clerk at Ross Pharmacy for many, many years.
She is survived by a son, Gary Follis, McLoud; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald Bruce and Karen Morrow, Madill; one granddaughter, Angelia Butler, Norman; one grandson, Derrick Morrow, Madill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and one sister.
Bearers will be Gary Don McKee, Richard McKee, Dale McKee, Griffin Butler, Robert Butler and Don Daniels.

Charity Bell Antwine
Services for Charity Bell Antwine, 95, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with Pastor Kirk Rushing officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Born Sept. 20, 1901, in Caldwell, Texas. , Mrs. Antwine died at her home in rural Ardmore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, on Dec. 21, 1966.
Survivors include a son, Walter Jr., Ardmore; three daughters, Helen Love, Oklahoma City, Louvenia Antwine, Ardmore, and Ethel Bell Antwine, of the home; 28 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and 61 great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as bearers. Honorary bearers are Charles Howard, Otis Love Sr., Nathaniel Turner, George, Arthur, Jerry and Tery Williamson.
Kirk-Dawson-Dillard Funeral Home will direct services.

Stacy E. Stuart
WILSON -- Memorial services for Stacy E. Stuart, 29, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Darel Bunch officiating.
Born Jan. 28, 1968, to Elliott and Mary Lunceford Nowlin, she died Sept. 8, 1997, in an Ardmore hospital.
She was reared and attended schools in the Dallas area. She moved in early 1996 to the Wilson area.
Survivors include three daughters, Brittney, Samantha and Jessica; and two sons, Zachary and Jeffrey, all of the home; two sisters, Donna Lynch, Carrollton, Texas, and Kim Cogbill, Richardson, Texas; one brother, Ric Morrison, Arlington, Texas; her grandmother, Lillian Nowlin, Commerce, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A fund for the children has been established at the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 130, Wilson, OK 73463.
Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.

Mellie A. Hodges
SHAWNEE -- Services for Mellie A. Hodges, 87, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rusty Williams and Dr. Paul Calmes officiating. Interment will be in Tecumseh Cemetery.
Born Aug. 31, 1910, in Mena, Ark., she died Sept. 9, 1997, in a Shawnee health care facility.
She graduated from Wilson High School and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and the University of Central Oklahoma. She worked for the American National Insurance Company for many years, assisted the Shawnee help line and sold Avon products for many years. She was active with the Wesley United Methodist Church and the Senior Citizens Center.
She married John L. Hodges on Nov. 25, 1945, in Ardmore. He preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 1989. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include one son, David, Shawnee; one daughter, Mary Ann Hodges, Titusville, Fla.; one stepson, John V. Hodges, San Francisco; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Services are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Charles Robert Milner
Funeral services for Charles Robert Milner, 70, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Philip's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Ernest Maddon officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Milner died Sept. 9, 1997, at Mercy Memorial Health Center. He was born to Charles Albert and Ruth Randol Milner on April 11, 1927, in Ardmore. His parents were pioneer Ardmoreites, both having been born in this city at the turn of the century in Indian Territory. Bob graduated from Ardmore High School in 1945, although at the time of commencement he was serving in the U.S. Navy together with many of his Ardmore classmates. After World War II he enrolled in The University of Oklahoma where he received a degree in business in 1950.
On June 10, 1948, he married Laura Sue Sullivan, and after graduation returned to Ardmore where he was employed by Ward Merrick Oil Company for 10 years. In 1960 he joined the accounting firm of Steed & Steed and soon after earned his C.P.A. After 14 years in public accounting he joined the staff of First National Bank as internal auditor, later to become senior trust officer. He retired in 1992.
He was a member of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants, the South Central chapter of OSCPA and the Ardmore Rotary Club. He served several terms as treasurer of Cross Timbers Hospice and treasurer of the board of directors for Omnia Inc. (Ardmore Village). His was a musical family, and he took great pleasure in playing in the high school band, Ardmore Civic Band, the Ardmore Little Theatre pit orchestra and was a member of the local Barbershop Chorus in the 1960s.
While enjoying participation in civic affairs, he found the highest satisfaction and fulfillment in his service to God in His Church. He was baptized the year he was born in St. Philip's Church, the same year the church was consecrated. As a young boy he served at its altar, and as a teen-ager joined the choir. Returning to his hometown as a young man he was asked to serve as acolyte master and trained and disciplined the boys of the parish for this privilege for 16 years. Two of these boys later were ordained as priests.
He taught an adult class for several years, served numerous terms on the vestry and as senior warden. He was active in the Diocesan Cursillo Movement, acting as lay rectory at several weekend retreats. He had for many years been a lay reader for various services in the church and often conducted evening prayer on Sunday evenings at Ardmore Village. Last year he was honored by the parish for 50 years of faithful service to God in the choir which he loved so much.
He is survived by his wife, Sue, of the home; a son, Charles Robert Jr. and his wife, Mary Clare, and their children, Charlie, Andrew and Mary Elizabeth of Dallas; a second son, Thomas Craig and his wife, Deborah, and their children, Lauren and Brian of Destrehan, La.; and one cousin, R.A. Randol of San Antonio.
Bearers will be Jim Soller, Bill Stringer, Bud Patterson, Richard Couch, Martin Dyer and Bill Crosby.
Memorials may be made to St. Philip's Episcopal Church and Ardmore Village.

Jonnie Lee Thompson
DAVIS -- Services for Jonnie Lee Thompson will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Frank Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson died Sept. 7, 1997, in Davis. She was born Feb. 12, 1942, in Iaeger, W.Va. She and Marty Thompson were married June 19, 1981, in Chicago.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; three sons, Shaun Clark, Joe Clark and James "Pokey" Clark, all of McKenzie, Tenn.; a stepson, Marty Thompson Jr.; three brothers, John Rowe, Elkin, N.C., Harvey Rowe and Roy Rowe, Chicago; seven sisters, Brenda Reed, East Point, Ga., Ona Justice, Phoenix, Mona Hill, Clintwood, Va., Ethel Cordell, Sumiton, Ala., Faye Standley, Roaring River, N.C., Donna Moore, Roderfield, W.Va., and Joy Mitchum, Chicago; and two grandchildren.

Omar Sims
DAVIS -- Services for Omar Sims, 87, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the East Main Church of Christ with Thomas Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
Born June 27, 1910, in Granbury, Texas, to Edgar and Willie Lou Bell Joiner, she died Sept. 10, 1997, in Davis.
She married Clarence Sims Aug. 25, 1928, in Sulphur. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1985. She was also preceded in death by three grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter, Owana Kidd, Dallas; two sons, Wayne and Don, both of Davis; a sister, Geraldine McDermett, Clinton; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.

Connie M. Morris
Services for Connie M. Morris, 81, will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Revs. David Gardner and Wayne officiating. The Rev. Ron Elmore will officiate at the interment service at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Born Aug. 11, 1916, at Lone Grove to Lee and Pearl Herwick Copeland, she died Sept. 10, 1997, in the Ardmore hospital.
A lifelong Lone Grove resident, she was a member of the Stobtown Freewill Baptist Church and Ladies Auxiliary. She married Troy J. Morris Nov. 30, 1935, at Lone Grove. He preceded her in death April 14, 1996.
Survivors include two sons, Walter L., Amarillo, Texas, and Troy Jr., Lone Grove; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Dessie Baze.
Bearers will be Eddie Gothard, Darrell Daniels, Bill Payne, Ted Nichols, Jimmy Tate and Ralph Mullins Jr.

Doris Jean Follis

Francis Marion Smith
ATOKA -- Services for Francis Marion Smith, 81, Tishomingo, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Wapanucka Full Gospel Church with the Rev. Claude Buie officiating. Interment will be at Rosehill Cemetery near Wapanucka.
Born Oct. 2, 1915, near Clayton to Byrd and Maudie McCullough Smith, he died Sept. 11, 1997, in a Tishomingo hospital.
A farmer and rancher, Smith was a longtime Atoka County resident of the Wilson community and member of the Full Gospel Church. He married Ruthie Ola Taylor Jan. 9, 1935, at Atoka.
Survivors include three sons, Ed, Wapanucka, Cecil and Carl, Atoka; two daughters, Linda Bilbrey, Wagoner, and Ann Johnson, Ardmore; two sisters, Della Hicks, Tishomingo, and Lurtie Desken, Hartshorn; two brothers, Fred, Parker, Ariz., and Cletus, Denver; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and Donald; and two brothers, Eugene and Albert.
Bearers will be Bill Hicks, Kenneth Hicks, Doyle Desken, David Pritchard, J.D. Smith and Ray Baxter.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Brown's Funeral Service, Atoka.

Nalora Tyler
WILSON -- Services for Nalora Tyler, 93, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Darel Bunch officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur.
Mrs. Tyler was born to William Thomas and Oney Bell Pennington Blodgett on March 29, 1904, at Courtney Flat, Indian Territory. She passed away on Sept. 10, 1997, at her residence.
She grew up in Wilson and attended Wilson Schools, where she graduated and taught school for many years.
She married Marion Close in 1922. He preceded her in death. In 1947, she married George Benjamin Tyler at Guthrie. For a number of years they lived in Albuquerque, N.M., and Oklahoma City, eventually settling in Sulphur where they were living at the time of his death.
After his death, she moved to the homeplace south of Wilson, where she farmed and raised cattle.
She alone raised Emma Jean Keating. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Blodgett and Jane Sadler; and one brother, J.C. Gardner Blodgett.
She is survived by her daughter, Juanita Russell, Davis; three sons, Charles Tyler, Wilson, Mike Tyler of Marietta and John Tyler, Mobile, Ala.; three grandchildren, Charla and George Russell, Davis, and Karen Tyler, Mobile, Ala.; a brother, Raymond Blodgett, White Deer, Texas; and a sister, Lillie May Ford, Sardia, Texas.
Bearers will be Buck Marutzky, A.J., Duffy and Miles Goode, Jody Blodgett, Marian Fondren and Dewain Blackburn.
Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
