WILSON -- Services for Aaron A. Bates, 58, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Assembly of God Church with Elder Hylton Crain officiating. Interment will be at Hewitt Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
Bates died Sept. 29, 1997, at the Ardmore veterans center. He was born May 15, 1939, at Wilson to Albert L. and Beatrice R. Pruitt Bates.
A 1957 graduate of Wilson High School, he served in Vietnam with the Army and returned to Wilson to work for the city. He moved to Maud to become the city water superintendent. He retired in 1991 and returned to Wilson. He was a member of Cornish Primitive Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Everett; and son, Patrick, both of Maud; three sisters, Joyce Browning, Boyd, Texas, Naomi Burris, Wilson, and Elizabeth Edwards, Mannsville; and two brothers, Joseph and John, Wilson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy; and three brothers, Verdie, Paul and Ray.
Nephews will serve as bearers.
Dorothy L. LaNoy
DAVIS -- Services for Dorothy L. LaNoy will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
Mrs. LaNoy died Sept. 29, 1997, at her home. She was born Aug. 1, 1920, at Katie, to Dailey and Callie Warren Cottrell.
She had lived in Davis most of her life and was a member of Primitive Baptist Church. She and Clarence LaNoy were married Oct. 16, 1937. He preceded her in death Jan. 24, 1994. She was also preceded by two sons, Wayne, Dec. 22, 1996, and C.L., Nov. 15, 1953; and a grandson.
Survivors include three daughters, Pattie Love, Pink, Linda Mercer and Verdie Franklin, Davis; three sons, Charles, Mustang, Henry, Davis, and Larry, Oklahoma City; three sisters, Minnie Samples, Oklahoma City, Lois Jones and Allie Jolly, Davis; and several grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as bearers.
H. Edward 'Sonny' Walker
SAN SABA, Texas -- Services for H. Edward "Sonny" Walker, 66, were conducted Tuesday at Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel in San Saba. Interment was at Harmony Ridge Cemetery.
Walker died Sept. 27, 1997. He was born April 4, 1931, in the Pecan Grove community.
He had lived in San Saba County most of his life and was in the pecan business as well as being a stock farmer.
He is survived by his wife, the former Jean Hipsher, Cherokee, Texas; a daughter, Michelle Walker, Ringling; a son, Ron S., Minnesota; a brother, Jack; and sister, Nell McHorse, San Saba; and seven grandchildren.
Mae Ross
Services for Mae Ross, 83, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Orthodox Baptist Church with the Revs. Robert D. Lee and Charles Hays officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ross died Oct. 1, 1997, in a local health care facility after an extended illness. She was born Oct. 2, 1913, at Mulkey, to Charles C. and Florence Sims Hathcock.
She received her bachelor's degree from Southeastern State Teachers College, her master's from The University of Oklahoma, and was an elementary teacher in the Ardmore Public Schools system 36 years. She was a longtime member of First Orthodox Baptist Church. She and Carl Hopkins Ross were married Dec. 29, 1940, at Guthrie. He preceded her in death June 4, 1982.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Billy (Barnie) Hays, Ardmore, and Dorothy Gassert, Idaho.
Viola E. McWilliams
MARIETTA -- Graveside rites for Viola E. McWilliams, 88, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lakeview Cemetery with Cliff Wilson officiating.
Mrs. McWilliams died Oct. 1, 1997, in Liberal, Kan. She was born June 19, 1909, at Hillsdale, to Elmer and Ella Kilpatrick Shorter.
Married to Virgil E. "Mac" McWilliams Aug. 5, 1927, at Newkirk, she moved to Marietta in 1984 and to Liberal in 1995. She was a member of Tonkawa First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband May 5, 1991; a brother and sister.
Survivors include a son, Virgil Jr., Hooker; two daughters, Billie Wilson, Lamont, and Carolyn Ruff, Ponca City; a brother, Ivan Shorter, Bartlesville; a sister, Marvel Brewer, Edmond; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Rev. Nelson Woodcock
SULPHUR -- Services for the Rev. Nelson Woodcock, 86, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Kenneth Womack and Steven Biggerstaff officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.
Woodcock died Oct. 1, 1997, in Ardmore where he was born Oct. 9, 1911, to Felix G. and Jonnie Bedford Woodcock.
He attended school at Lebanon and Thackerville, and after working as a truck driver became a licensed minister of the Assembly of God Church in 1949. He was ordained in 1952 and served at several area churches. He was a Navy veteran. He and Beulah Jackson were married June 3, 1935, at Stonewall.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two brothers, Robert, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Felix, Kingsland, Texas; and two sisters, Mattie Courtney, Kingsland, and Betty Shedd, Corpus Christi.
Nephews will serve as bearers.

Ray Cauley
NEWPORT -- Graveside rites for Ray Cauley will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Newport Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Bryant officiating.
Cauley died Oct. 1, 1997, at the Ardmore veterans center. He was born Nov. 4, 1921, at Woodford, to Zeb and Odean Lewis Cauley.
He served as a corporal in the Air Force during World War II and was a lifelong area resident. He was a rancher.
He is survived by a son, J.R., Pasadena, Texas; three sisters, Zillian Price, Newport, Estelle Fine, Ardmore, and Minnie Lewis, Fritch, Texas; and a granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a brother, Zeb.

Simuel Pickens
NEWPORT -- Services for Simuel Pickens will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Jehovah Baptist Church with the Rev. Elmo Toles officiating.
Pickens was born July 31, 1919, at Milo to Ben and Martha Pickens. He died Sept. 30, 1997, at the Ardmore hospital.
He was a resident of the Newport community. He and Vivian Shannon were married in December 1942.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; a son, Glennon, Milo; and a daughter, Sandra Burleson, Washington, D.C.

Quentin W. Arms
THACKERVILLE -- Graveside service for Quentin W. Arms, 24, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Andrew Littleton officiating.
Arms died Oct. 1, 1997, at Marietta. He was born Feb. 19, 1973, at Lampasas, Texas.
He was a roofer for A&R Roofing Co. and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Church in Chandler. He and Kristi Reed were married July 28, 1994, at Cleburne, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Jacob, and daughter, Katlyn, all of the home; his father and stepmother, Wesley and Glenda Arms, Florence, Texas; mother and stepfather, Edee and Dale Acord, Chandler; and two brothers, Justin and Colton, both of Chandler; and grandfather, Benny Pugh, Rockdale, Texas.
Bearers will be Chad Thogmartin, Bull Shurbet, Joshua Pugh, Ricky and Bobby Wilson, Justin and Colton Arms.

BEE -- Graveside services for Jonathon Lee Hammond, infant son of Teddy Lee and Iva Marie Hammond, Durant, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bee Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Larkin officiating.
The baby was born and died Sept. 30, 1997, in Oklahoma City.

John W. Riddle
DOLBERG -- Graveside service for John Walker Riddle, 27, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Dolberg Cemetery with Stanley Buckmaster officiating.
Riddle died Oct. 2, 1997, in Oklahoma City. He was born Sept. 2, 1970, at Madera, Calif.
He graduated from high school in Cromwell, spent 2ð years with the Talking Leaves Job Corp. at Tahlequah and had lived in Oklahoma City the past four years. He was a warehouse employee and member of Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Carlis and Kathy Riddle, Wewoka; three brothers, Joe Riddle, Shawnee, Jerry Monk, Montana, and Gene Stancel, Arkansas; and two sisters, Louann Barber, Oklahoma City, and Barbara Hayes, Arizona.

Margie Johnson
Services for Margie Johnson will be 2 p.m. Monday at Mary Niblack Baptist Church with the Rev. Timothy Ball officiating. Interment will follow at Pruitt Cemetery.
Born Sept. 6, 1926, at Dry Fork, Va., to Harold B. and Mae Thomas Elliot, she died Oct. 2, 1997 at Cushing. She married Tom A. Johnson on May 19, 1953, at Memphis, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Chance West.
Mrs. Johnson had retired from Stromberg Carlson.
Survivors include two sons, Robert W. Sisson, Wister, and Dennis A. Johnson, of the home; one daughter, Candy Sisson Welch, Cushing; two sisters, Gaynell Ruhland, Danville, VA., and Tris Boatner, Potts Camp, Miss.; and six grandchildren.
Bearers will be grandchildren.

Lois Carey Cryer
MADILL -- Services for Lois Carey Cryer, 63, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Watts Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Cora Waggoner officiating. Interment will follow at Shay Cemetery.
Born Nov. 1, 1933, at Rocky Point, she died Oct. 3, 1997, at her residence following a lengthy illness.
She was reared in Shay and lived the last several years of her life at Cryerville. She married Chester Cryer on May 20, 1950 at Veron, Texas. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include one husband, of the home; nine sons, Michael Anthony, Jerald Lavoy, Leland Lane, Kevin Brian, Jimmy Dean, Mickey Dewayne, and Mark Hayden Cryer, all Kingston; Chester Douglas Cryer, Madill, and Lloyd Ray Cryer, Oakland; two daughters, Betty Jo Musgrave and Connie Latralle Beasley, both Kingston; one brother, Ruben Wolf, Kingston; two sisters, Estellene Easley and Viola Hayes, both Kingston; 29 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Alfred Hathaway
TISHOMINGO -- Services for Alfred Hathaway, 82, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Westside Church of Christ with Charles Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Tishomingo Cemetery.
Born June 20, 1915, at Tishomingo "Washita Farms," he died Oct. 2, 1997, at Tishomingo. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Etta J. Hines; two brothers, Lewis and Morris Hathaway; and one great-grandchild.
Hathaway attended school in Tishomingo. He married Mildred Curtis McGill on Oct. 18, 1936, at Tishomingo. Hathaway was an electrician at Douglas Aircraft, retiring in 1972. He had been a resident of Johnston County for the past 23 years. Hathaway was a member of the Westside Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters, Patricia Davis, Stanton, Calif., and Martha Jean Synder, Tishomingo; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Bearers are Richard Bowen, Toni Snyder, Dan Hunkapillar, Sean Davis, Kent Davis, Jerry Norris and Dale Norris.
Services are under the direction of Corbin Funeral Home.
