Bertha Marie Stow died Thursday, July 7, 2005, at Integris Clinton Regional Hospital. She was born on Sept. 5, 1926 in Chewey, the daughter of Williams Thomas Williams and Emma Lee (Jewell) Williams.
Reared in eastern Oklahoma, she married Norman L. Stow in 1943 at Clibit.
They made their home for a short time in Florida and Arkansas before settling in Broken Bow where they lived most of their married life.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1990, and this past winter she moved to Clinton to be near her daughter.
She was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church in Arapaho and loved to cook, even having worked as a cook in the Broken Bow area.
Her favorite pastime was watching television cooking shows. Her passion in life was going to church.
Also preceding her in death were a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Calvin Free.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean Hall and her husband, George, of Clinton; four grandchildren, Gary Davis and his wife, Jill, of Surprise, Ariz., Jim Davis and his wife, Julia, of Peoria, Ariz., Cheryl McDaniel and her husband, Sam, and Laura Zaffina and her husband, Peter, all of Broken Bow; five great grandchildren, Dalton Davis, Jaylee Davis, Jaren Davis, Jaxon Davis, Sydney McDaniel; a brother, Thomas Ray Williams and his companion, Charlotte, of Broken Bow; and several nieces and nephews.
Bobby Carr services set at 12:47 pm
Carr grew up at Lawton and Temple, graduating from THS in 1985. He then attended Oklahoma City University and later went to the Western Technology Center in Burns Flat.
Through his adult years Carr had made his home in Burns Flat and Clinton in Oklahoma and at Wichita Falls, Texas, where he was employed for a few years at Sheppard Air Force Base.
He enjoyed playing dominoes and basketball, fishing and spending time with family.
He was a member of the Loop 11 Church of Christ in Wichita Falls. He enjoyed teaching Sunday school and was active as a volunteer through his church. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club.
Preceding him in death was his father, Billy Bob Carr, in November of 1992.
Burial will be in the Temple Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple
Survivors include his mother and her husband, Ida Marie and Paul Downing of Lawton; his grandmother, Gertrude Hill of Clinton; his brother, Billy Antwon Carr and his wife, Sylvia, of Barstow, Calif.; his sister, LaRhonda Donnatiem and her husband, Clinton, of Lawton/Fort Sill; and six nieces and nephews, Ashley, Michael, Eric, Erica, Dervanté and Alisha Marie.

Stow died Thursday night, July 7, 2005, at Integris Clinton Regional Hospital. She was the mother of Jean Hall of Clinton.
Burial will follow on Monday at Locksburg, Ark. A full obituary is planned for Sunday by the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home.
Reinschmiedt rites July 12 at 2:06 pm
Visitation is set from 3 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 11, at the Hilgenfeld Mortuary in Anaheim, Calif.
Burial will be in the Rose Hills Memorial Park at 3888 S. Workman Mill Road, Whittier, Calif.
Survivors include two daughters, Myra Jane (Reinschmiedt) DeMaio of Anaheim, Calif., Roxann Taylor of Cathedral City, Calif.; and a brother and sister, Leon Reinschmiedt and Ella Moser, both of Clinton.
Betty Hall services held at 2:05 pm
She and her family continued to live on the George Ray Farm at Black Post where she was born until the family moved to their new home east of Cordell in 1937.
Bet began school at Lone Tree, graduating from Cordell High School in 1939.
After completing her education at then Southwestern State College, she taught English, speech and drama at Gotebo.
While living at Weatherford she met her future husband, Van Hall, at Church of Christ services.
Van, who also was a student, joined the Merchant Marines during World War II.
The couple dated and wrote letters during the war years before marrying on June 16, 1945.
After the war they lived briefly in Richmond, Calif. and Walters before making their permanent home in Cordell.
She was baptized on June 27, 1937 during a gospel
In addition to memorizing Bible verses, her other hobbies included keeping detailed diaries, writing poetry and painting.
She was an avid fan of University of Oklahoma basketball and the Atlanta Braves.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and brothers-in-law, R.D. King, Jr. and Jack Cox.
Burial was at the Lawnview Cemetery at Cordell under the direction of the Jack Loftiss Funeral Home in Cordell.
Survivors include her husband, Van Hall, of the home; a daughter, Jan Hall Hanan and her husband, Russ, of Edmond; a grandson, Jay Hanan and his wife, Robin, of Sand Springs; a granddaughter, Rae Boswell and her husband, Jeremy, of Richardson, Texas; great grandchildren, Raevan Hanan, Korbyn Hanan of Sand Springs, Macy Boswell of Richardson, Texas; sisters, Billie King of Cordell, Zonelle Cox of Cordell, Patsy Moore and her husband, Kyle, of Cordell; a sister-in-law, Jean Hall of Pasco, Wash.; and many nieces and nephews.

Prophet died Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at Albuquerque, N.M. He was born on July 3, 1918 ,near Buffalo, Okla., the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Burke) Prophet.
Growing up on a farm in northwestern Oklahoma, he excelled at school and all sports.
Overcoming many obstacles, he was the only one in his immediate family who graduated from high school. He eventually earned a Masters degree in agronomy.
Shortly after beginning college at now Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, he met and married Bertha Adair and then was quickly drawn into World War II where he served in the 45th Infantry Division.
He had a long and successful career that included agricultural research and teaching agronomy at then Cameron College and high school science in Kansas.
After retirement, Prophet researched and wrote several books on genealogy. He also authored two autobiographies.
Involved in many community and church activities, after retirement he tended the plants at the First United Methodist Church and the Public Library, both in Weatherford.
Preceding him in death, along with his parents, were five siblings, Winston, Kenneth, Bernard, Mary and Faye.
Burial will conclude in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha Prophet; daughters, Donice Wagner, Rhetta Prophet, Emma Prophet; grandchildren, Dara Boggs, Daniel Wagner, Kimberly Chavkin-Moreno, Troy Chavkin; and great grandchildren, Justin Boggs, Celeste Chavkin-Moreno, Donald Prophet and Jeff Prophet.

Martin’s wife, Linda McCornack Martin, was a former Clinton resident.
He died Saturday, June 25, 2005, at his residence in Texarkana, Texas after a brief battle with cancer.
Martin was born on Jan. 9, 1949 and was a lifetime resident of Texarkana. He had worked for 27 years at International Paper.
After enlisting in 1968 in the U.S. Air Force he served one tour of duty in Vietnam.
Burial with military honors was held at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Texarkana, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, a daughter, a stepdaughter, a stepson, his parents, a brother, a sister and three grandchildren.
Other relatives include two sisters-in-law, Sandra Hough and her husband, Terry, of Clinton, Marian Parsons and her husband, Bill, of Weatherford; and a brother-in-law, Howard McCornack and his wife, Brenda, of Clinton.
Carroll Smith services held at 1:35 pm
In 1931, he was baptized and became a member of the Oakdale Baptist Church and later of the Sickles Community Church.
After graduating from Sickles High School, he attended Cameron Junior College in Lawton and received an Associate Degree in agriculture. While at CJC he was a member of the State Champion Crops Judging Team.
Smith served in the Army Air Force Reserve during World War II. He enlisted on Dec. 9, 1942 and trained as a pilot.
He received an occupational discharge in 1943 due to the health of his father and the large family at home.
In 1952, Smith was united in marriage to Georgia Jean Hubbart from Butler. In 1953, they moved to their present home in Sickles.
Smith loved his family, being a steward of the Lord’s land, enjoying farming, raising Polled Hereford cattle and listening to gospel music.
He served for 26 years on the Caddo County Election Board, as director of the Caddo County Farm Bureau 9 years, as director of the Oklahoma Polled Hereford Association 10 years, with the Oklahoma Peanut Commission 6 years, with the Oklahoma Peanut Growers Association 3 years, with the National Peanut Advisory Committee 5 years, with the National Peanut Administrative Committee for 12 years, with the National Cotton Board 9 years and with the National Cotton Council 8 years.
He was a lifetime member of the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association and was named 1972 Oklahoma Farmer Rancher of the Year.
Burial was in the Sickles Cemetery under the direction of the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home in Hinton.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Jean, of the home; two daughters, Paula Parker and her husband, Tim, of Fletcher, Gayle Story of Woodward; five granddaughters Melissa Mayfield of Weatherford, Tessa Mayfield of Fletcher, Alisha Story, Kendra Story, and Moncia Story of Woodward; one great-granddaughter, Korbyn Kiser of Fletcher; four brothers, Eugene Smith and his wife ,Jeanie, of Vienna, Va., Doyle Smith and his wife, Janie, of Ozark, Ark., Bob Smith and his wife Ronetta, of Ozark, Ark., Jim Smith, Paulden, Ariz.; three sisters, Dene Smith and her husband Don of Edmond, Virginia Nachtigall and her husband, Junior, of Wakita, Dorcas Finch of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister-in law, Gloria Smith of Wildomar, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Charlie and Lucy Smith, and brother, Jesse, all of Sickles; two sisters, Clara Nelson of Buchannon, Mich., Mildred Snow of Hinton; and a brother Keith Smith of Wildomar, Calif.
Parker rites held today at 1:34 pm
He graduated from Custer City High School in 1933 and soon after went to work for the CCC, a Depression-era government employment program.
Parker married Gladys Dunn on his birthday in 1937 at Custer City.
Together they bought a farm 2˝ miles southeast of Butler where he lived for 62 years until his health forced him to move closer to family in town.
A member of the Broadway Heights Baptist Church in Clinton, he loved to play dominoes and fish. He also was a carpenter and had built houses all over Custer County.
Preceding him in death, along with his wife and parents, were a brother, Woody Parker; and a sister, Clara McClendon.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
Survivors include a daughter, Kay Branson and her husband, Ben, of Foss; two sons, Eugene Parker and his wife, Peggy, of Sentinel, Johnny Parker and his wife, Janice, of Butler; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Mr. Pratt was born July 20, 1919, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Charles and Mary (Roberts) Pratt. He attended Central High School and Oklahoma State University, where he played football. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942, and was involved in The Invasion of Normandy. Mr. Pratt was discharged in 1946. He returned to OSU and earned his Masters degree. He was Executive Vice President and General Manager of National Producers Association. In 1982, he became the General Manager of National Livestock Commission until his retirement in 1989.
Mr. Pratt was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Cindy Pratt and Karen Donley; brother, Everett; and two sisters, Oralee Golden and Edna Pratt. Survivors include his wife, Norma, of the home; three daughters, Lynda Donley and husband, Michael Brinkley, of Norman, Susan Donley-Hays of Clinton, OK and Kathy Donley-Strickler and husband, Jim, of Denver, CO; three sons, Charles Pratt and wife, Lou, of Tulsa, OK, Mike Pratt of Hominy, OK, and Steve Pratt of Edmond; thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two nieces, Meg Stamitis and husband, Chris, and Georgia Pitts; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Farris died at the Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Elk City. She was born on Aug. 18, 1917 at Dill City.
She had lived all of her life in Dill City and was a member of the First Baptist Church there.
On May 4, 1940 she married James Alva Farris in Dill City.
Preceding her in death, along with her parents and husband, were three brothers, Haskell, Herschel, Buel; and a sister, Callie.
Interment will follow in the Sentinel Cemetery under the direction of the McClure Funeral Home of Sentinel.
Survivors include her son, Larry Farris and his wife, Judy, of Burns Flat; a sister, Zula Greer of Lubbock, Texas; a granddaughter, Misty Collins of Burns Flat; two great grandchildren, McKynzy and Max Collins of Burns Flat; and other relatives.

Burial will conclude in the Odd Fellow Cemetery at Locksburg, Ark. at 2 p.m. Monday with Brother James L. Dodd, Jr. officiating.
Funeral services for Bobby Carr, age 37 of Wichita Falls, Texas, will be held at the Church of Christ in Temple, Okla., at 2 p.m. Monday, with former Clinton minister David Gordon officiating.
Bobby Charles Carr died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at Okmulgee. He was born to Billy Bob and Ida Marie (Miles) Carr on Oct. 27, 1967, at Lawton.

Funeral services for Clinton native Edgar B. Reinschmiedt, age 76 of Anaheim, Calif., will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, at the Lamb of God Lutheran Church at 621 S. Sunkist Street, Anaheim, Calif.
Reinschmiedt died Monday, July 4, 2005. He was a retired schoolteacher. He had lived in Orange County, Calif. for 43 years.
Funeral services for Betty Lucille Gregory Hall, age 83 of Cordell, were held today at the Northside Church of Christ in Cordell with Ken Jones officiating.
Hall died Wednesday, July 6, 2005. She was born on March 29, 1922, the daughter of W.B. “Bill” and Lucille Gregory.

Funeral services for prominent Sickles area farmer and rancher Carroll A. Smith, age 84, were held this morning at the Sickles Community Church with Bro. Tom Clifton and Rev. Royce Smith officiating.
Smith died Saturday, July 2, 2005. He was born on May 19, 1921 at Sickles, the son of Charlie and Lucy Smith and one of 12 children.
Funeral services for Leonard G. Parker, age 90 and a longtime Butler resident, were held this morning in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton with Rev. Aubrey Cowan and Rev. Alvis Merrill officiating.
Parker died early Saturday, July 2, 2005, at the Grace Living Center. He was born on April 4, 1915 at Custer City, the son of Charles G. and Beulah (Fisher) Parker.
