He grew up in rural Washita County and attended the Concord Country School.
On Oct. 22, 1944 he married Daurice Miller in Stafford.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and upon returning from the Army he worked as a mechanic at the John Friedrich Motor Co. in Clinton.
In 1982 he moved to El Reno to work with his son-in-law, Floyd Friesen, in an automobile repair shop.
He was a welder and mechanic and then was responsible for attaining the parts for the shop.
A member of the American Legion for 62 years, he also was a member of the First Christian Church in Clinton for 50 years.
Preceding him in death, along with his parents, was a granddaughter, Alicia Ann Miller.
Services will conclude at the chapel because of the inclement weather.
Survivors include his wife, Daurice, of the home; daughters, Virginia Friesen and her husband, Lloyd, of El Reno, Judy Bauer and her husband, Tim, of Las Cruces, N.M.; a sister, Vera Neubaur of Seattle, Wash.; and grandchildren, Brandon Miller of Albuquerque, N.M., Rebecca Bass of El Reno.

Browning died Wednesday morning, Jan. 10, 2007, at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was born on April 22, 1930 in Clinton, the daughter of Edward and Effie (Eatherly) Haggerty.
Growing up in Clinton, she graduated from high school here.
She married James Ellis Browning, and they lived all over the world while he worked in the oilfields.
In 1958 they moved to Bolivia and in 1960 to Colombia, both in South America, before moving in 1972 to Spain. They retired at Wichita in 1980.
She was a member of the Catholic Church and was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Burial will conclude in the Page Cemetery near Foss.
Survivors include a daughter, Tobie Browning of Cunningham, Kan.; a son, James Dwain Browning of Garland, Texas; and three grandchildren.

Audrey Modelle (Hatchett) Dippel died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at the Methodist Health Care Center in Clinton. She was born on Feb. 11, 1924 in Foss, the ninth of 10 children born to John E. and Alice (Anderson) Hatchett.
Dippel graduated from Foss High School in 1942 along with her future husband, L.C.
After high school, L.C. joined the Marines, and Audrey took a civil service job in Cordell, later being named assistant county superintendent of schools for Washita County.
When L.C. returned from the South Pacific, Audrey made a trip to San Diego, Calif. and they were married on Feb. 29, 1945.
The young couple lived most of their life in Clinton with the exception of three years in Los Angeles, Calif. and then in Klamath Falls, Ore.
After their return to Clinton she worked as a bookkeeper for Webb Lumber.
She also served as a Brownie leader, Cub Scout den mother and Sunday school teacher.
Dippel was a member of the United Methodist Women, the church choir and the Delta Kappa Gamma International teaching sorority.
Audrey started college after her children were in school, earning a bachelor’s in 1966 and a master’s in 1968.
She taught elementary grades at Washington Elementary School and later was a counselor at Clinton Junior High School.
She served as director of guidance in addition to teaching graduate counseling classes at Southwestern Oklahoma State University as a member of the adjunct faculty for 10 years.
After her retirement in 1986 she served the Clinton Public Schools as chief examiner for adult education.
Preceding her in death, along with her husband, were a son, Max; seven sisters; and two brothers.
Burial will conclude in the Page Cemetery at Foss under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
Survivors include a son, Mike Dippel of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Carol Guinn of Tulsa; five grandchildren, Megan Darrow, Laura Poland, Heather Quisel, Bill West, Marlis Dussinger; and two great grandchildren, Jaelyn Quisel and Camden Quisel.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in Audrey’s memory to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
Craig Meyer funeral Wednesday at 1:49 pm
Craig married his high school sweetheart, Deserae L. Wenzel on June 28, 2003, at the Thorncrown Glass Chapel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
On June 2, 2006 Craig and Deserae were blessed with a daughter, Isabella “Izzie” Katherine Meyer. Craig’s girls were his world. He was the best husband, father, son, brother, and uncle anyone could have.
Craig’s passions in life were his Lord Jesus, his family, and flying. He was a member of the Stonebridge United Methodist Church in McKinney, Texas.
Craig graduated from Chickasha High School in 1998. He graduated from OSU in December 2002, with a degree in aviation. He worked as a flight instructor at OSU. June 2005, Craig and Deserae moved to McKinney, Texas. He worked as a flight instructor for Monarch Air and worked for Barr Air Patrol.
Craig was involved in Special Olympics. He and Deserae participated in the yearly walk to Stillwater and helped with other fund raisers.
He participated each year in the Cadet Lawman Academy as a Cadet and staff. He had so much love and respect for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
He was preceded in death by his aunt, Marilynn Schimmel.
He is survived by his wife, Deserae and daughter Isabella of the home; parents: Stewart and Beth Ann Meyer of Chickasha; sister and brother-in-law: Christy and Brandon Schroeder; one niece, Abby; two nephews: Alex and Zak all of El Reno; grandparents: Leonard and Edna Abrahams and Bill and Joyce Meyer, all of Clinton; uncle, Belford Abrahams, of Clinton; aunt and uncle: Lynette and Mike Davis, of Mustang; cousins: Michelle Kauk and Melinda Barton, of Clinton, Kim Campodonica, of Mustang, Gary Abrahams and Toni Boyles, of Florida.
In lieu of flowers, a college fund is being set up for his daughter,
Isabella, at the Chickasha Bank & Trust Co. PO Box 1307 Chickasha, Oklahoma 73023
Interment will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

He was united in marriage on November 29, 1941 to Bertha S. Stricklin in Oklahoma City. She survives of the home.
Robert was the owner and salesman of Sta-Wax Furniture Polish.
He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1942 to 1945. He was a ball turret gunner in a B-17 serving in England in 1944. He also flew 2 missions on D-Day. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal and other commendations.
Robert was a member of the Methodist Church in Clinton, OK; the Masonic Lodge and was a Deputy District Governor in the Lion’s Club.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date in
Buffalo, Wyoming.
Along with his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Laura Jane Richardson and her husband Carl of Chanute, KS; a son Robert Rex Renfrow III and his wife Susie of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Michelle Morris, Kirsten Renfrow and Nicole Carlson; eleven step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jim Renfrow of Ft. Smith, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bill Renfrow and
Roy Renfrow and a sister Velma.
Memorials in his name may be made to the American Heart Association and may be left with the funeral home.

Bates died late Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born on Nov. 9, 1936 in Hydro, the daughter of Leroy and Lena (Messimer) Willingham.
She spent her early years at Hydro, moving to Clinton in the early 1940s, attending school here.
In 1953 she married James Patterson Kinsey.
She worked at Bills Bakery, the Busy Bee Café and Dairy Queen.
On Jan. 12, 1960 she married Bobby Bates in Wheeler, Texas, and they made their home in Clinton.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death, along with her father, were two sons, James Kenneth Kinsey and Timothy Lynn Kinsey.
Burial will conclude in a cemetery at Hydro under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home of Clinton.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby, of the home; her mother, Lena Willingham of Clinton; a daughter, Gena Villanueva and her husband, Joel, of Clinton; a son, John Kinsey and his wife, Karen, of Mobile, Ala.; brothers, Royce and Stan Willingham, both of Clinton; five grandchildren, Rico, Joey, Shannon, Laura, Brandon; and seven great grandchildren.

Lydia Kroeker services set at 4:24 pm
Lydia Penner Kroeker died Monday, April 2, 2007, at Southwestern Memorial Hospital in Weatherford. She was born on May 20, 1915 at Balko, the daughter of Peter F. and Martha (Ratzlaff) Kroeker.
She received her schooling in Balko, helping her family on the farm until she started doing domestic work for families.
After her marriage on April 12, 1936 to Sam Kroeker in Balko, they made their home in Corn.
She worked with her husband on the farm, and they did custom combining for 28 years, continuing to farm until his death in 1984.
Since 2002, Kroeker had been a resident of Corn Heritage Village.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers, Dave, Rueben, Herbert, Alvin; and two sisters, Leona Neufeld and Eva Vogt.
She was a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church.
Burial will conclude in the Corn Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
Survivors include two daughters, Larena Krewall of Fort Worth, Texas, Diane Mauch and her husband, Ron, of Edmond; a sister, Ruby Treu and her husband, Fred, of Milwaukee, Wis.; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorial contributions in Lydia’s honor may be made to the Gideon’s Bibles, Memorial Bible Chairman, P.O. Box 281, Clinton, OK 73601.

Funeral services for Ervin Dale Lovelace, age 85, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton with minister Doyle Kinney officiating.
Lovelace died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, in El Reno. He was born on March 11, 1922 in Bessie, the son of Oliver and Ollie (Huey) Lovelace.
He also worked at the Clinton Cotton Oil Mill for 36 years, which included 14 years driving a truck and 22 as a shift foreman.

Robert R. Renfrow, Jr., 87, of Chanute, KS passed away Friday, January 5, 2007 at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center. Robert was born in Russellville, AR on February 11, 1919, the son of Robert Rex and Bertha M. (Rixie) Renfrow. He grew up in Oklahoma City,Oklahoma, graduating from High School in 1937. He later attended two years of college in Oklahoma City.
