Reared in Weed, Calif., he moved to Oklahoma as a young man and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Preceding him in death, along with his parents, was a brother, Robert Cross, Jr.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Loftiss-Lee Funeral Home in Sentinel.
Survivors include two brothers, Ed Cross and his wife, Madge, of Eldorado, Kan., Al Cross and his wife, Rita, of Del City; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Kindsfather died Friday, June 22, 2007 in Sayre. He was born to Donnie and Glenda (Waggoner) Kindsfather on July 4, 1979 in Clinton.
He went on to graduate from Clinton High School in 1997 and then moved to Weatherford where he attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and graduated with a degree in computer science in 2001.
On May 26, 2001, he married Amber Smith in Weatherford, and they made their home in Weatherford.
Kindsfather worked at the Al Harris Library until 2005 when he moved to Sayre to work for Westoak Industries.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of the Lockstone Funeral Home in Weatherford.
Survivors include his wife, Amber (Smith) Kindsfather of Sayre; a son, Joe Kindsfather of the home in Sayre; his parents, Donnie and Glenda Kindsfather of Clinton; a paternal grandmother, Frances Kindsfather of Elk City; a maternal grandmother, Marie Waggoner of Oklahoma City; one sister, Diniece Fletcher and her husband, Terry, of Clinton; and his father and mother-in-law, Randy and Ronda Smith.
The family suggests that memorial contributions in Kindsfather’s honor may be made to the Book of Hope.
Services set for Bohannon at 4:53 pm
He was reared and attended school in the Eakly and Alfalfa areas, graduating from Eakly High School in 1975.
After graduation, he managed Cobb Creek Station and later worked as a federal produce grader.
He started working at 3M in Weatherford in 1981 and continued to work there for 26 years.
While there he earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1993 and was promoted to the position of plant engineering and maintenance supervisor.
At the time of his death he was employed by Newpark Drilling in Clinton.
He coached baseball, and several of his teams were state champions.
Burial will follow in the Alfalfa Cemetery under the direction of the Lockstone Funeral Home in Weatherford.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie, of the home in Eakly; two sons, Logan Bohannon of Weatherford, Gaitlin Bohannon of the home in Eakly; two daughters, Shelby Bohannon of Weatherford, Kaci Bohannon of the home in Eakly; and a brother, Kevin Bohannon of Eakly.
Preceding him in death, along with his parents, were two brothers, Patrick Bohannon and Boyd Bohannon.

Born at Quartermaster on Feb. 6, 1918, “Maudie” was the daughter of Ben and Nellie (Whiteman) Whiteshield. She died early Friday, June 22, 2007, at the Elk City Nursing Home.
Whiteskunk attended the Colony Seger Indian School and graduated from the Concho Boarding School before continuing her education at then Southwestern State College.
On April 23, 1934 she married Willis Whiteskunk in Arapaho.
She taught the Cheyenne language at the Hammon Institute of the Southern Plains.
Also, she was a member of the Red Moon Service Club, had served as secretary of the Traditional Cheyenne Council and was a member of the Indian Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death, along with her husband, were sons, Frank Whiteskunk, Sr., Philemon Whiteskunk, Sr., Woodrow Whiteskunk; grandsons Avery Whiteskunk, Augustine Osage; brothers, Henry Whiteshield, Dale Beaver; and sisters, Pearl Whiteshield and Elizabeth WhiteShield.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home of Clinton.
Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Osage of Hammon; a son, Edward Whiteskunk of Hammon; a sister, Clara Flying Coyote of El Reno; adopted children, Virgil Swift, Gladys Hartley, Dennis McAbee, Viola Hatch; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were set for 1 p.m. Friday at the Forest Ridge Funeral Home in Hurst.
Wright died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at her daughter’s home in Hurst, Texas. She was born on Oct. 5, 1906, the daughter of Bessie and Homer Roush of Custer City.
After attending the former Southwestern State College, she taught eight years in Womble, Gyp, Clinton and Custer City.
After her marriage to Ed Wright in 1934 she worked alongside her husband on the farm.
At age 93 she and her husband moved to be with their daughter and her family in Hurst.
Preceding her in death, along with her parents and husband, were all of her siblings, Russell Roush, Silva Petty, Glenna Heise and Chuck Roush.
Survivors include a daughter, Lois Henry and her husband, Bill; grandchildren, Debbie Bollenger, Don Tigert, Stephanie Osyda; and great grandchildren, Branson Bollinger, Brendon Bollinhger and Lacey Bollinger; and stepchildren, Steven and Linda Henry, Warren and Stephanie Henry and Jeanne Henry and their families.

Howard Eugene Baxter was born to Homer and Edith (Hargues) Baxter on May 26, 1928 northeast of Butler, Oklahoma. He died on June 19, 2007 at Integris Clinton Regional Hospital surrounded by the love of God, family and friends.
Howard reached the age of 79 years and 23 days.
Howard lived northeast of Butler and attended the Womble school until the third grade. Then the family moved to the farm on Barnitz Creek and he graduated from Arapaho High School in 1948.
While in high school, he showed Berkshire hogs. As there was a manpower shortage during World War II, he was asked to drive a school bus at the age of 16. He did this until he graduated in 1948. He would remind you that those buses did not have a heater and they were cold in the winter.
Howard went on wheat harvest through Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado for several years. In January of 1951 he married Ruby Harris of Clinton at the First Church of God on Avant in Clinton. Shortly thereafter, Howard’s father died and he took over the farming operation.
They lived on the family farm until 1989 and then moved to their current home south of Arapaho. Howard and Ruby raised cotton, wheat and cattle and three children. Additionally, they gradually transitioned into the home rental business in Clinton.
While raising their family, they attended the Arapaho Methodist Church, where they were very active members for 35 years. After moving to Arapaho, they moved their membership back to the First Church of God where they have attended ever since.
Ruby and Howard celebrated 56 wonderful years of marriage this year.
Howard is survived by his wife, Ruby, of the home; one daughter Shirley Baxter of Clinton; 2 sons, Stanley and his wife Barbara Baxter of Weathertord, and Dennis and his wife Vickie of the family farm northwest of Arapaho; four grandchildren, Deidre Scott and her husband Kory of Clinton, Bryan Baxter of Clinton, Lacee Martin and her husband Scott of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Ashley Arres and her husband, Aaron of Moore, Oklahoma; Four great grandchildren, Tayler, Kyler, Kyle and Kamden of Clinton. Howard is also survived by two sisters, Mary Lou Baxter of Oklahoma City and Dottie Parliamant of San Antonio, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.

Mr. Davis died June 13, 2007, at the Cordell Christian Home.
He was born Aug. 4, 1927, in New Orleans, La., to Charles Ernest Barney and Rosa Leontine Vessier Davis. He grew up in Kentwood, La., and graduated from high school in 1944.
Mr. Davis would serve one tour in the Maritime Service of Louisiana and would join the U.S. Air Force in 1945 and serve until 1949 when he was discharged, but remained in the Reserve Corps.
He would serve all over the nation, including Clinton Sherman Air Force Base, and was also stationed in Spain, England, the Philippine Islands and Okinawa. He served in World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and was discharged Nov. 1, 1968, at Clinton Sherman.
While serving temporary duty at Amarillo, Texas, he married Joy Chain on Nov. 26, 1955, in Duncan. They lived nine years in Lincoln, Neb., before transferring to Clinton Sherman in 1963.
While in the service, Mr. and Mrs. Davis helped form a Southern Baptist Church in Lincoln.
In 1968 he would go to work for Les and Georgia Bonham Appliances, Clyde Smith Appliance, Mainline Heating and Air, drove a bus for two years for Cordell Public Schools and opened the “Chuck” Davis Repair Service, which he ran for 10 years.
Funeral services were officiated by Marvin Kehl and R.B. Mathis under direction of the Loftiss-Lee Funeral Home.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his daughter Cindy and her husband, Steve Casida, and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Cheryl Cruse and her husband, Chris, of Edmond, Becky Dougherty and her husband, Pat, of Seiling; his son, Mike Davis and his wife, Hyla, of Lookeba; a sister, Angie Burge of Baton Rouge, La.; six grandchildren, Zac Cruse of Edmond, Levi, Luke and Abby Doughtery of Seiling, Myka and Haley Davis of Lookeba; and several nieces and nephews.
Wood service to be Monday at 3:09 pm
She was born Dec. 17, 1917, in Granite to Homer and Harmon (McGavoc) Adams.
Mrs. Wood married Cecil N. “Heavy” Wood on April 30, 1935, and they were married for 46 years until his death April 4, 1981. They started farming in the 40s and owned and operated the Eventide Rest Home. She also worked at the Cordell Christian Home.
She was a member of the 4th and College Church of Christ.
Barry Buford will be officiating the services with Ronnie McKee and Gavin Wilkie. Burial will follow in the Lawnview Cemetery under the direction of the McClure Funeral Home of Cordell.
Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Eddie, Wayne and Joe Adams; two sisters, Lahoma Buford, Joy Putnam; a grandchild, Machelle Wood; two son-in-laws, Hubert Cox, Bob Young; and a daughter-in-law, Maryjo Wood.
She is survived by three sons, Jerry N. Wood of Phoenix, A.G. Wood and his wife, Jeannie, of Cordell, Cecil N. Wood of Dallas; two daughters, Helen JoAnn Cox of Oklahoma City, Kathryn “Cricket” Young of San Antonio; two brothers, Homer J. Adams and his wife, Dorothy, of Edmond, Arlye Adams and his wife, Bobbie, of Green Valley, Ariz.; a brother-in-law, Troy F. Wood and his wife, Clydene of Weatherford; nine grandchildren, Terrie Bryant, Vickie Gorton, Connie Catlege, Scott Wood, Janet Wood, Tommy Ward, Stephanie Waller, Lance Wood, Amy Jo Wood; 14 great-grandchildren; nine great great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Holcomb died June 13, 2007, at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City.
She was born March 8, 1939, in Salisbury, N.C., to John Allen and Olivia Burns (McLaughlin).
She married Lowell Holcomb on Oct. 16, 1957, in Cordell.
Services are under the direction of the Loftiss-Lee Funeral Home.
Mrs. Holcomb was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Sandra Katheryne and Jolene; four sons, Steven, Andrew, David and Brandon; her brother, Steve Lowder; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Lawrence “Larry” Cross, age 68 of Sentinel, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Jester Cemetery between Mangum and Willow with Clinton minister Pat Peters officiating.
Cross died early Monday, June 25, 2007, at the Corn Heritage Village. He was born on Aug. 10, 1938 in Angel Valley, Calif., the son of Robert E. and Lillie Mae (Foster) Cross.

Funeral services for Michael Phillip Bohannon, age 50 of Eakly, were held today in the Alfalfa Baptist Church with Henry Kellogg and Dickey Wilson officiating.
Bohannon died Thursday, June 21, 2007, while on the job in Hammon. He was born on Jan. 26, 1957 in Anadarko, the son of Dewey Phillips and Barbara Ann (Boyd) Bohannon.
Funeral services for Gertie M. Rennels, age 87 of Hammon, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Hammon High School Auditorium with Rev. Ridge Lamar officiating.
Interment will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery at Hammon under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City.
Private family services for infant Ali Grace Crawford of Oklahoma City, will be held Tuesday at St. Francis Cemetery with Deacon Jim Warnke officiating.
The baby was born on Friday, June 22, 2007, at Norman Regional Medical Center and died the same day.
