Services set for Hoelker at 12:55 pm
A Mass of Christian Burial for Albert A. Hoelker, age 99 and a Custer County resident, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Clinton with Father Rex Arnold officiating.

A Rosary Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.

Hoelker died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at the Grace Living Center in Clinton. He was born on July 15, 1908 in Anthon, the son of Herman and Mamie (Klein) Hoelker.

Reared in the Anthon community, he attended school there, and he farmed on the family farm for several years before moving to Clinton in 1946.

He continued his farming operation at Anthon, raising wheat and cattle until his retirement in 1988.

A member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, he was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

As an accomplished violinist, he formed a band with his brothers and a sister, and they played in years past for dances and social gatherings.

Preceding him in death, along with his parents, were two brothers, Paul Hoelker and Louis Hoelker; and an infant sister, Esta.

Burial will conclude in the Anthon Cemetery northwest of Custer City.

Survivors include two sisters, Agnes Hoelker of Clinton, Clara Dunn and her husband, Robert, of Rogers, Ark.; and a brother, Devert Hoelker and his wife, Ernestine, of Custer City.

Davis funeral held at 10:25 am
Graveside services for Bonnye June Davis, age 81 of Norman, were held Sept. 1 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City.

Davis died Aug. 29, 2007 at Purcell Municipal Hospital. She was born July 24, 1926 in Foss, the second of four children born to Walter Francis Lee and Melba Pearl Bailey Lee.

She was reared in the communities of Foss, Butler and Clinton.

After moving to the Oklahoma City area, she met and later married Roy Derrell Davis. She worked as a floral designer, seamstress and licensed hula instructor.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Roy Derrell Davis, in 1987; one brother, R.B. Lee; and two grandsons, Christopher Delaney and Canaan Probst.

Survivors include three daughters, Tamara Barnard and her husband, Terry Lee, of Norman, Michele Delaney and her husband, Bob, and Tonye Probst of Norman; two sons, Eric Davis of Boise, Idaho, Shaun Davis of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Ruth Hibbler and her husband, Fred, of Oklahoma City; one brother, Dwayne Lee and his wife, Glenda, of Laverne, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

McBrayer's funeral set at 10:24 am
Funeral services for Priscilla Janell McBrayer, age 31 of Amarillo, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Bethany Baptist Church at Clinton with Rev. Billy Mucker officiating.
McBrayer was born Nov. 16, 1975, in Clinton, the daughter of Frankie Lee Adair and Jewel McBrayer. She died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, in the Country Club Nursing Center at Amarillo, Texas.

Growing up in Clinton, she was a 1993 alumna of Clinton High School.

She continued her education in Lawton with the Job Corps and worked in a nursing home and for Wal-Mart in Lawton.

Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.

Survivors include a daughter, Desire McBrayer of Clinton; her father, Frankie, of El Reno and mother, Jewel, of Clinton; sisters Patricia Carter, Sherry Adair, and Sheila McBrayer, all of Clinton, Verna Riles and her husband, Floyd, of Amarillo, Texas; Shonda Cato and her husband, Larry, of Tulsa; and brothers Preston McBrayer of Amarillo, Frankie of Tulsa, Charles McBrayer, Gary Adair and Timothy McBrayer, all of Clinton.

Mae Rogers services set at 10:24 am
Funeral services for Mae Belle Rogers, age 64 of Clinton, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Custer Avenue Church of Christ with Roy Montgomery, Sr., Robert Malone and Willie Lynch officiating.
Rogers died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was born on March 24, 1943 in Tipton, the daughter of Plez and Dora (Allen) Malone.

Growing up in the Tipton-Frederick, area, she attended school there.

She married Leonard Rogers on Aug. 16, 1960 at Altus, and the young couple moved to Clinton in 1961 where she went to work for the Tuberculosis Sanitarium.

They moved to Oklahoma City for a time, and she worked at a hospital there.

When they returned to Clinton, she continued her education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and had worked for Head Start and as a substitute teacher at Nance Elementary School.

Finally, she went to work in medical records at Clinton Regional Hospital, retiring in 1999.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.

Survivors include her husband, Leonard, of the home; four daughters, Linda Rogers, Mary Smith and her husband, Gary, all of Clinton, Lawand Rogers of Oklahoma City, Christi Hicks and her husband, Adrian, of Wichita, Kan.; sisters, Betty Gosier, Doris Dancer and Fay Abrams, all of Clinton; brothers, Plez, Jr., William, Robert, all of Clinton, John and Morris, both of Lancaster, Calif.; grandchildren, Leonard William Gary Smith, Jr., Willie Bowens, Amber Smith, Ashley Rogers, Mallori Smith, Adrian Hicks, Jr., Brooklyn Hicks; and one great grandchild to be born next month, Alyvia Gracie-Mae Williams.

Services set for Neufeld at 10:23 am
Funeral services for Edwin Walter Neufeld, age 88 of Weatherford, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church at Weatherford with pastor Earl Stephenson officiating.
Neufeld died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007 at McBride Orthopedic Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born on April 20, 1919 southwest of Weatherford, the son of Pete and Anna (Friesen) Neufeld.

He was reared and attended South Cedar School southwest of Weatherford, working on the family farm. In 1939 he started working as a mechanic, which he did for 20 years.

On Feb. 29, 1940, Ed married Goldie Alice Flaming in Clinton, and they made their home in Weatherford. He owned and operated the Shoe Box for 10 years until he retired in 1969.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Survivors include one son, Glen Neufeld and his wife, Marlene of Siloam Springs, Ark.; one brother, Clarence Neufeld and his wife, Arlene of Cordell; three sisters, Bonnie Schpansky of Clinton, Glennis Stedler of Oregon, and Denise Butler of Bedford, Texas; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Goldie in 1996; three brothers, Ervin, J.M., and Marvin Victor; four sisters, Marie, Nellie, Frieda, and Verna; one daughter, Shirley; and one granddaughter, Carrie Neufeld.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund in Weatherford.

McDuff services set at 4:31 pm
Chapel services for Antionette “Tonnie” Saunders-McDuff, age 67 of Clinton, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton with Rev. Buck Nicholson officiating.

Tonnie was born Oct. 3, 1939, in Cordell, the daughter of George Paul and Martha Ann (Bartel) Weber. She died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, in her Clinton home.

McDuff grew up near Cowden before moving to Amarillo, Texas. She moved back to Oklahoma and lived in Cordell and Hobart, working as a nurse’s aide in several nursing homes.

On July 23, 1979, she married Alvis McDuff, and they made their home in Clinton. She was a member of the Custer Avenue Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents.

Burial will conclude in the Bible Mennonite Brethren Cemetery near Bessie.

Survivors include her husband, Alvis, of the home; a sister, Elvina Louriere of Moore; and two nephews.
