A graveside service for Dixie Lou Groene, 69, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Jeff Jackson will officiate. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
She was born Jan. 13, 1938, in Enid to Victor Laroy and Arlimae Long Fox and died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at her home.
She received her schooling in San Fran-cisco.
She married Leroy Dean Groene June 8, 1957, in Wichita, Kan. She was a waitress at Tia Juana Restaurant for more than 20 years.
Surviving are her husband, Leroy, of the home; children, Dennis Wolf, Leroy Dean Jr., Cheryle Ann Villareal and David Groene; one sister, Carol Sue Buffalohead; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son and a grandson.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

The funeral for Elgin Lee McLaurine, 85, of Laverne, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Laverne. The Revs. Michael Wilcox and Gaylon Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Laverne Cemetery. Arrangements are by Myatt Funeral Home, Laverne. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
He was born Jan. 2, 1922, in Wills Point, Texas, to Henry Clay and Eula June Bogard McLaurine and died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at Newman Memorial Hospital, Shattuck.
He attended school in Wills Point and served with the Air Force during World War II.
He married Mary “Katherine” Appleton Oct. 16, 1945. He was a pumper for Gulf Oil Co. for more than 41 years and a member of First Baptist Church of Laverne, where he served as usher.
Surviving are his wife, Mary, of Laverne; one son, William “Lee” McLaurine of Laverne; one daughter, Margarette Ann Hendrick of Laverne; one sister, Marie Elftman of Lovington, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son and a sister.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home, Box 909, Laverne, OK 73848 to First Baptist Church.
The funeral for John Bryan Spurrier Jr., 76, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Hennessey. The Rev. Terry Bunch will officiate. Burial will be in Hennessey Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.
He was born Feb. 27, 1931, in Seminole to John Bryan and Alice Wickersham Spurrier and died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.
He graduated from Seminole High School and attended Seminole Junior College. He served in the Army in Korea.
He married Dee Workman March 12, 1951, in Seminole. He served on the school board in Seminole and on the board of Seminole Junior College. He was a Scoutmaster in both Seminole and Hennessey and a member of First Baptist Church of Hennessey and Coronado Masonic Lodge.
He moved his family to Hennessey in 1971, where he worked for Exxon for 42 years, retiring in 1994.
Surviving are his wife, Dee, of the home; two sons, Steven Spurrier of Tulsa and Terry Spurrier of Hennessey; two brothers, Glenn Brown of McKinney, Texas, and Bob Spurrier of Uvalde, Texas; two sisters, Bunny VanBuskirk of Denver and Mary Praskievierz of Taylor, S.C.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Boy Scouts of America Troop 134.
The funeral for Johny Lee Rogers, 68, of Hardtner, Kan., will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Hardtner United Methodist Church. The Rev. Elizabeth Kirkwood will officiate. Burial will be in Hardtner Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 20, 1939, to Eva Snyder and Deyoe Rogers on a farm near Hardtner and died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kan.
He attended Hardtner schools, graduating in 1959.
He married Janet LeVone Hutson Sept. 30, 1962, in Leon, Kan.
They lived in Wichita. He joined the Army in 1963, serving at Fort Carson, Colo., and in Chicago at 5th Army Headquarters. After his discharge in 1965 they lived in Leon.
After high school, he worked on custom combining crews for a number of years. He also worked for R. L. Dilts Trucking and Boeing Co.
In 1969, he moved to Garden City, Kan., where he worked for Gigots and later Massey Ferguson, both in the Garden City and Dodge City shops. In 1988, he started working for K.L. Johnson Trucking in Garden City, where he was employed until he retired in 2004.
He moved to a farm near Peabody, Kan., where he helped care for his daughter.
He was a member of American Legion.
Surviving are his son, Jay, of Cassville, Mo.; three sisters, Frances Dauner, of Amarillo, Texas, Lois Adams, of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Hope Swinford, of Albuquerque, N.M.; three brothers, Donald, of Hardtner, Everett, of Coldwater, Kan., and Louis, of Dodge City. and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by one daughter and four brothers.
Memorials may be made to Hardtner Stateline American Legion Post 175 or Hardtner Chamber of Commerce.
A graveside service for Virginia Joslin, 89, of Enid, will be 11 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
She was born Jan. 27, 1918, in Hanford, Wash., to Givonni and Josephine Vennari Perry and died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at her home.
She grew up in Hanford and Spokane, Wash. She married Norman Leonard Joslin Aug. 5, 1945, in Spokane. They lived in Spokane before moving to Clinton. In 1974, they moved to Enid. He died Jan. 31, 2003.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Ann Stowe and Rose Marie Hoy, both of Spokane; one son, William L. Joslin of Enid; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Norman, she was preceded in death by four brothers.
The funeral for Louis Martin Skouby, 79, of Perry, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Perry. The Rev. Martin Foster will officiate. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry. Arrangements are by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, Perry. A family visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
He was born Sept. 4, 1928, in Covington to Hans and Gertie Love Skouby and died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, in Oklahoma City.
He attended Green Valley rural school and graduated from Hayward High School in 1946. He served in the Army. He spent several years working on oilfield drilling rigs and with oilfield service companies. He graduated from Oklahoma State University Technical Institute with a degree in air conditioning, refrigeration and heating. He married Verna Aigner Borden in 1961. They lived in Oklahoma City until they moved to Perry in 1973. He worked for Ditch Witch until his retirement. He was active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in Oklahoma City and served as deacon at Draper Park Christian Church. He was a deacon at First Christian Church in Perry after the family relocated. He held a perpetual membership in Okla-homa Consistory in Guthrie and also in Enid Lodge #80 where he had a 50-year membership.
Surviving are his wife Verna, of the home; two sons, Allan Skouby of Sunset, Texas, and Mike Skouby of Perry; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
Memorials may be made to First Christian Church or a charity of donor’s choice through the funeral home, 1010 N. Seventh Street, Perry, OK 73077.

A graveside service for W. Dale Starks, 83, of Manchester, will be 2 p.m. Monday in Rosedale Cemetery, five miles west of Manchester. Rod Rieger will officiate. Arrangements are by Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Anthony, Kan. Vis-itation will be 1 to 5 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home.
He was born Jan. 17, 1924, in Manchester to Wallace E. and Ethel M. Harmon Starks and died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, in Wichita, Kan.
He lived in Manchester and was a custom cutter.
Surviving are one son, Larry Starks of Manchester; one brother, Dick Starks of Wichita; and one sister, Verda Vershaw of Chanute, Kan.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Rosedale Cemetery Fund.
Daisy Leona Wehling Dierksen, 88, of Lahoma, died Friday, November 30, 2007. She was born January 30, 1919, northeast of Hennessey to August and Carrie Hawk Wehling. She attended school in Hennessey and Enid.
Daisy married Harvey Dierksen November 3, 1946, at Zion Lutheran Church in Lahoma. They lived northeast of Ames. She liked to sew for her family and to cook their favorite foods. She belonged to Ladies Aid, LWML of Zion Lutheran Church, Lahoma Economy Club and also taught Sunday school for 28 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey, March 28, 2004; her son, Dennis, May 25, 1982; five brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Patty Gilson and husband Lee of Plano, Texas, Jolene Stevens and husband Jerry of Broken Arrow; six grandchildren, Kristen, Todd and his wife Kristin, Jill, Tricia and husband Mike, Traci and husband Kendall, T.J. and husband Bobby; six great-grandchildren, Ellis, Simon, Isaiah, Zachary, Emma and Alec; and a sister, Evelyn Kelley of Derby, Kansas.
The service will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2007, at Zion Lutheran Church of Lahoma with Rev. Eric Brown officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Lahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church with the funeral home as custodian of the funds.

The funeral service for Michelle L. Cooper, age 34, will be held, Monday, December 3, 2007 at 10:00 am at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jerry Holt will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Michelle was born July 30, 1973, in Liberal, KS to Steve and Helen (Arnold) Mondoux and passed away, November 29, 2007. She was raised in Brownsville and Stephenville, TX and moved to Enid in 1990. She graduated from Lahoma High School in 1992.
She married Brian Cooper on September 25, 1993. They later divorced in 1997. Her love and heart belonged to Andy Morgan for the past six years. She worked at the Garfield County Clerk’s Office. She was a member of the Liberty Southern Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Levi Cooper and daughter, Laci Cooper, both of Lahoma, her parents, Steve and Helen Mondoux of Enid; sister, Felicia Washington of Enid; two brothers, Steve Mondoux of Enid and Tommy Mondoux of Tulsa; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Kay Loucks of El Reno; her aunts, Diane Mueller and husband Noah of El Reno and Patty McDonald of Ft Worth, TX; maternal grandmother, Estella Arnold of Tulsa; and nieces and nephews: Shaberia, Natasha, Adrian, Antonio, Brandi, Mylissa, Kourtney, Kayleigh, Breanna and Jordan.
She loved her kids, family and life. She had a big beautiful smile and would do anything for anyone. She was loved by everybody.
