A memorial service for Shirley James Goodwin, 85, of Perry, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Kaw Street Chapel, Perry. The Rev. Greg Stone will officiate. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry. Ar-rangements are by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, Perry.
He was born March 4, 1921, in Vale, Ore., to Leonard Lawson and Essie Wilson Goodwin and died Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, at his home.
He moved to Perry with his family from Vale at age 6.
He served in the Army Air Corps, 8th Air Force from Dec. 9, 1941, to Sept. 12, 1945.
He married Mary Mildred Chenoweth Aug. 14, 1945, in Tulsa. He worked 20 years as an operator for Lloyd Jones and 16 years as a machinist for Charles Machine Works. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; one son, Wiley Joe Goodwin of Perry; two daughters, Shirley Marie Valdez and Sally Ann Hopkins, both of Perry; two brothers, Wally Goodwin of Denham, N.M., and Glenn Goodwin of Claremore; six granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son and two sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home, 1010 N. 7th St., Perry, OK 73077 to Old Soldiers Nursing Home.

The funeral for Bobbie R. Moats, 84, of Enid, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jerry Holt will officiate. Burial will be in Forrest Cemetery, Ringwood.
She was born July 22, 1922, in Waxahachie, Texas, to Frank and Cleo C. Skaggs Gifford and died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at Mena Manor Nursing Home, Mena, Ark.
She lived in Enid and worked at Walgreens in Little Rock, Ark., before retiring.
Surviving are one daughter, Bobbie F. Jones of Mena; one son, Robbie Wooten of Benton, Ark.; a sister, Peggy Schuster of Ohio; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, two half-brothers and one half-sister.

A memorial service for Jean Ann Lively, 55, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jim Thorpe will officiate.
She was born Aug. 31, 1951, in Perry to Eugene and Carleene Lee Dieterle and died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, in Enid.
She graduated from Drum-mond High School in 1969 and attended Cimarron Valley Vo-Tech in El Reno in the early 1980s. She was a homemaker. She was a licensed practical nurse and worked at Greenbrier Nursing Home as assistant director of nursing.
Surviving are one son, Kevin Dieterle of Tulsa; one daughter, Kristi Dieterle of Enid; two brothers, C.A. Dieterle of Enid and Bobby Truitt of Cleo Springs; and one sister, Cheri Deaton of Shreveport, La.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

A graveside service for Emma L. “Joyce” Gabriel, 80, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Enid Cemetery. The Rev. David Burrows will officiate. Arrange-ments are by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
She was born June 5, 1926, in Piedmont to George and Eva Fischer Biby and died Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at In-tegris Bass Baptist Health Center.
She attended Piedmont High School.
She married Alfred Gabriel April 15, 1942, after moving to Kingfisher. She moved to Enid in 1956, where she worked at Enid State School, White Way Café and Foe’s Grill. She owned and operated R&R Bar.
Surviving are three sons, George Gabriel, John Gabriel and Mark Gabriel, all of Enid; three daughters, Vicki Gabriel, Avis Buller and Rae Ann Dehdezi, all of Enid; one sister, Opal Dodd of Cashion; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son, two daughters, two brothers and one sister.

The funeral for Leonard Nicholas Ruhl, 79, of Alva, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Alva. A wake will be 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Shane Tharp will officiate. Arrangements are by Wharton Funeral Home, Alva.
He was born Aug. 9, 1927, in Saginaw, Mich., to Blanche Dufney and William Ruhl and died Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, at Share Medical Center.
He attended parochial school through the eighth grade, then lived with his brother after his parent’s died and attended public school. He was drafted into the Army during World War II and received a bachelor of science degree from Purdue University.
He married Mary Beard Nov. 22, 1947, in Indianapolis.
He worked as a carpenter and later became head of maintenance for Washington Township School, Metropolitan School District of Indiana.
In 1963, they moved to Cocoa Beach, Fla., where he worked for Pan American at Cape Kennedy. He was in charge of the “clean room” where the astronauts go before a flight to make sure there is no contamination, and worked with all seven original U.S. astronauts.
In the 1970s he transferred with Pan Am to the naval air station at Bremerton, Wash., where base maintenance was contracted out to Pan Am, and he provided support for the Poseidon submarine program. He transferred again to another submarine base in Kings Bay, Ga., as superintendent of base maintenance. After his retirement from Pan Am they returned to Florida, where he opened his own business, the Marlen Co. He also worked in the hobby shop of the condo association where they lived, making wooden toys for underprivileged children for Christ-mas.
He was with Civil Air Patrol and had a private pilot’s license, flying out of Merritt Island, a small private airstrip in Florida, where they worked in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Agency.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; two daughters, Susan Kendron of Merritt Island, Fla., and Jean Bailey of Orlando, Fla.; four sons, Bill of Alva, Bob of Palm Harbor, Fla., John of Atlanta and Joseph of Agawam, Mass.; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Ruhl, of Port Huron, Mich.
He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
A memorial service for Bethany M. Peckham, 18, of Marshall, will be 3 p.m. Sunday in the Buffalo Room of the Cherokee Strip Conference Center, Enid. Arrangements are by Perry Funeral Home, Perry.
Memorials may be made to the Bethany Peckham Memorial Scholarship Fund at Enid High School, 611 W. Wabash, Enid, OK 73701, for teenage mothers seeking to further their education.
The funeral for Vera Lea Terrell, 59, will be 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church, Kingfisher. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, King-fisher. Arrangements are by Russworm Funeral Home, Enid.
She was born May 21, 1947, to Charles and Elmira Thompson of Watonga and died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006.
She graduated from Watonga High School in 1965.
She married David Terrell Dec. 23, 1967.
Surviving are her husband, David of Dover; two daughters, Dee Terrell and Dawn Terrell, both of Oklahoma City; one sister, Gloria Brown of Clinton; two brothers, Robert Thompson of Aurora, Colo., and Charles “Jim” Thompson of Wilber Force, Ohio.
The funeral for Terry Gene Rogers, 51, formerly of Enid, was held Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Sand Springs.
Terry was born Nov. 17, 1954, in Enid to Gene and Dorothe Evelyn Martin Rogers. After battling eso-phageal cancer, he went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
He attended school in Covington, through the seventh grade. Upon the family moving to Enid, Terry attended Waller Junior High and Enid High School, graduating in 1973.
Terry accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior when he was nine years old. Growing up, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Covington and Emmanuel Baptist Church in Enid.
Upon graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force where he served for six years. He later worked for Northrop.
Terry enjoyed camping and fishing in the Colorado mountains. He liked music and always looked forward to being home with family for the holidays and special family gatherings.
Terry is survived by his wife, Lisa, of the home; his son, Brady of Birmingham, Ala.; his daughter, Kelly Briix and husband Cory of Clinton; and five grandsons. In addition, he is survived by his parents, Gene and D. Evelyn Rogers of Enid; his brother, Dean and wife Kris of Enid; his sister, Tammy Simco and husband Stuart of Collinsville; two nieces; and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society designated for small cell carcinoma research.
The funeral for Patti L. Burke, 80, of Billings, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Billings. The Rev. Sherry Shaw will officiate. Burial will be in Billings Union Cemetery. Arrangements are by Dugger Funeral Home, Bill-ings.
She was born Aug. 20, 1926, in Kiowa, Kan., to Raymond Baney and Mildred Christine Rice McMinn and died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, at her home.
She was a resident of Billings for 40 years and previously lived in Enid. She was a 1944 graduate of Enid High School and a 1947 graduate of St. Anthony’s School of Nursing in Amarillo, Texas. She married Robert Size in 1950. He died in 1959. She returned to Enid in 1959 and married Bob Hughes in 1962. She married Gerald “Jerry” L. Burke Aug. 15, 1966, in Woodward. She was a registered nurse and worked at Enid General Hospital and was director of nursing at Billings Fairchild Center for over 30 years before she retired.
Surviving are her husband Gerald; two sons, Mike Size of Enid and Roger Size of Mustang; one daughter, Robin Betchan of Enid; one stepdaughter, Beverly Brining of Dallas; one sister, Joye Nelle Howard of Olympia, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son and one granddaughter.

The funeral for Rapheal F. “Ray” Shutler, 79, of Stroud, will be 2 p.m. today at Sanders Funeral Chapel, Kingfisher. The Rev. DeWayne Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Kingfisher Cemetery.
He was born April 14, 1927, in Omega, to John Elmer and Florice McAdams Shutler and died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, in Stroud.
He attended school at Omega, graduating in 1946. He moved to Enid and was employed by Yellow Cab Co. as mechanic for two years. Then he volunteered for duty in the service. He was given an honorable discharge and became delivery driver and route manager for Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola Bottling Co., where he worked 20 years. The next 18 years he was in the heating and air conditioning unit of state of Oklahoma at Enid State School. He married Wilma Pence in 1984. They made their home in Enid until moving to Stroud in 1998.
Surviving are his wife Wilma, of the home; one daughter, Denise Cox of Chickasha; two brothers, Jack Shutler of Oklahoma City and John Shutler of Edmond; three sisters, Alice Baze and Lavina Ecker, both of Oklahoma City, and Leona Schweitzer of Omega; one stepson of Oklahoma City; one stepdaughter of Tucson, Ariz.; one granddaughter and two step grandchildren.
