A private graveside service for Virginia Mae Durham Clark of Enid, was held September 1, 2005, at Roselawn Cemetery in Okeene. Officiating was Rev. George Rowe. Arrangements were by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
She was born to Obie E. and Maude Lee Durham in Okeene and died Monday August 29, 2005 in Enid.
Virginia grew up in Okeene, graduating from high school there. She then graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. On January 22, 1952 she married Warren T. Clark in Jacksonville, Florida. They have resided in Enid since 1982.
She is survived by her husband, Warren, and son Tom Clark, both of Enid, and her grandson Matt Clark of Crestview, Florida, and one sister, Amanda L. Blender of Bartlesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Enid S.P.C.A.
A funeral service for Corene Katherine Morris, age 88, will be 10 a.m. today at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Wesley Byrd and Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Ceme-tery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
She was born to John N. and Vera (Smith) Bayless on December 2, 1916, in Chickasha, and died on Wednesday, August 31, 2005, at her daughter's home in Enid.
She attended schools at Valley View Elementary and Oak Ridge High School. On October 15, 1932, she married Everett A. Morris in Alex, Oklahoma, and they made their home there. They moved to Enid in 1941. She was employed by Union Equity for 13 years, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Joe Morris and wife Betty of Tecumseh; one daughter, Retha Young and husband Ray of Enid; six grandchildren, Marty Morris, Roxanne Douglas, Sonya Shackleford, Julie Fikes, Steven W. Young and Joe Don Young; thirteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Ross Bayless of Chickasha, and Boyd (Bud) Bayless of Oceanside, CA; three sisters, Naoma Meek of Chickasha, Eullalah Blanchard of Paris, Texas, and Eunice Lavern Rodgers of Chickasha.
She was preceded in death by her husband Everett in July 1999; one infant daughter, Clovis Corene Morris; one granddaughter, Ticey Jo; and two sisters, Thelma Lewis and Maurice Hall.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love.
A graveside service for Jimmy Joe See, 84, will be 2 p.m. Monday in Greenhill Cemetery, Lindsay. Arrange-ments are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He was born Nov. 10, 1920, in Lindsay to George Webber and Loraine Dodson See and died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
He was a graduate of Lindsay High School and married Mary Lou Price Nov. 1, 1941. He served at Enid Army Air Field during World War II.
They made Enid their home in 1965. He worked as parts manager at Northcutt Chevrolet until his retirement. He was a 32nd degree Mason.
Surviving are two daughters, Jana See Willibey of Houston, and Jo Beth See Ellenwood of Des Moines, Iowa; one son, James Brannock See of Enid; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou, one sister and a brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to American Red Cross, Katrina Relief Fund.
The burial for Marcia Mills McDowell, 69, of Clinton, Maryland will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 6 at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. Funeral services were held August 15 in Clinton, Maryland.
She was born December 31, 1936, in Enid to Ruby and Keith Mills of Nash, Oklahoma. She died of complications of cancer August 13 at Cevista Medical Center in LaPlata, Maryland.
She graduated from Nash High School in 1954, and attended Oklahoma State University. Following that, she worked for Champlin Petroleum Company in Enid. She met and married her husband while he was an instructor pilot at Vance Air Force Base. They married in 1956 and moved to Clinton, Maryland in 1962, when her husband was posted to Andrews Air Force Base. In 1970 her husband, Air Force Major John Henry McDowell, Jr., died in a plane crash. She continued to live and work in Washington D.C. area. She worked as a substitute teacher in the Prince George's County schools and in the late 1970's went to work as an administrative assistant with Science and Engineering Associates, retiring in 2000. She loved to read, loved animals, and was an avid fan of both the Oklahoma Sooners and the Washington Redskins.
Survivors include three children, Tamara McDowell "Tami" Ayres of Atlanta, Georgia, Dawn McDowell Walker of LaPlata, Maryland, and Jeffrey Scott McDowell, Sr. of Shady Side, Maryland; her mother, Ruby Mills of Enid, Oklahoma; three sisters, Verna Tennison of Arlington, Texas, Charla Earl of Enid, Oklahoma, and Carmen Chapman of Grand Prairie, Texas; and eleven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her father, and an infant son.
Memorials may be made to Washington Cancer Institute in Washington, D.C. or the Enid, Oklahoma SPCA.

A celebration service for Mona Beth Farrow, 78, of Enid will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday September 7, 2005 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Enid. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the Lone Star Cemetery, in Pretty Prairie, Kansas.
Mona Beth Farrow was born on March 9, 1927, in Hamlin, Texas to Hugh H. and Ethel B. Dixon Farrow.
She graduated from Wichita High School North in 1945 and attended Wichita State University. She was married to Bill Dopps in 1946. After Bill went to be with the Lord in 1981, Mona Beth married Paul B. Farrow.
She lived in Wichita, KS where she served as pastor's secretary at Bethel Life Center. She also served as president for Women in Construction. Mona Beth, also lived in Anson, Texas and Brookesmith, Texas, before moving to Enid in 1999.
She was an active member at Emmanuel Baptist Church, singing in the choir and playing in the hand-bell choir. She enjoyed volunteering at Our Daily bread and at the Bass Hospital.
She was dearly loved by her sister, Phyllis Sheets of Sacramento, CA; three children David Dopps and wife Lynn, Becki Sayre and husband Dale all of Enid, and Gay Willson of Winfield, KS; two step-children Joe Paul Farrow and Kris Farrow of Texas; 13 grandchildren and five great-grand children who all knew her as Grammy.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, a step-son, and a granddaughter.
She loved to play the piano, travel, knit, read and always played a challenging game of Scrabble. She was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of learning to play the harp, and can now do that full-time in the presence of the Lord.

A graveside service for Oletta Jane Whitcomb Trantham Morris, 85, Alva, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Alva Municipal Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Marshall Funeral Home, Alva. Visi-tation at the funeral home will be 6-7:30 p.m. Monday.
She was born June 22, 1920, in Curtis to Jesse Harold and Lydia Ellen Salsberry Whitcomb and died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005, at her home.
She attended school in Mooreland. On May 14, 1939, she married Willie Jones "Bill" Trantham in Curtis. He died Jan. 18, 1979.
She married Finis Morris in November 1979. He died April 11, 1991.
She was a member of Women of the Moose and Democrat Women. She worked many elections.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbera Black, of Alva, and Waynona Rickman, of Hays, Kan.; step-children; six grandchildren; step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her brothers, she was preceded in death by eight brothers, one sister and one half-brother.

She was born Nov. 8, 1926, in Ponca City to L.E. and Elizabeth Grace Fowler Lauver and died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005, at her home.
She attended McCord Country School and graduated from Burbank High School.
She worked at Ponca City Laundry and Cleaners.
She married James Randolph in Ponca City on Feb. 14, 1948. He died on June 4, 1999.
They moved to Hennessey and then to Enid, where she worked at a laundry and cleaners and a restaurant, retiring in 1995.
She was a member of Bible Baptist Church, where she worked in the Cradle Roll class with 2- and 3-year-old children.
Surviving are one son, James Randolph Jr.; two daughters, Betty Sue Minyard and Frances Ann; two brothers, William Lauver and Marion Lauver; four sisters, Leora Rhodes, Irene Davis, Irma Reading and Wanda Williams; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren;
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

The funeral for Elsie Mae Kahn, 89, of Fairview, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at First Assembly of God Church, Fairview. The Rev. Jim Veal will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Cemetery. The Rev. Randy Levings will officiate. Arrange-ments are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc. There will be no public viewing at her request.
She was born April 10, 1916, in Fairview to John B. and Agnes Bekker Ratzlaff and died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at Fairview Hospital.
She attended school in Greenvalley, Orienta and Longdale.
She married John B. Kahn Dec. 23, 1935, in Medford. He died in 2000.
She worked as executive housekeeper at Fairview Hospital for 16 years and was cook at Fairview Senior Citizens Center for seven years. She was a member of Fairview First Assembly of God Church where she was active with Women's Mission, and was a member of American Legion Auxillary.
Surviving are her daughter, Genevieve Merriman of Fairview; three sisters, Matilda Wichert of Kingston, Adeline Koehn of Fairview and Betty Manning of Edmond; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one son, two daughers, and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to First Assembly of God Church.
The funeral for Ruth Maxine Baxter, 79, of Alva, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Alva Assembly of God Church. The Revs. Mark Bagley and Andrew Strait will officiate. Burial will be in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Marshall Funeral Home, Alva.
She was born Dec. 28, 1925, in Alva to Alfred and Thelma Drake Lord and died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at Share Convalescent Home, Alva.
She lived in Alva until age 12, when she moved to Denver. She returned to Alva, graduating from Alva High School in 1943 and attended Northwestern State College.
She married Johnny Baxter July 1, 1944. They lived in Alva where she worked at Alva General Hospital and Share Medical Center. She also was a cake decorator. They worked for several years in Tulsa where shewas active in the Woodlake Assembly of God Church. They returned to Alva after retirement. She was a member of Alva Assembly of God Church and worked with Scouts and PTA. She also was a member of Alva's Democratic Women, Senior Center and Red Hat Society. He died Jan. 28, 2004.
Surviving are her children, Dan Baxter of Selmer, Tenn., Beverly Baxter of Kansas City, Kan., Darrell Baxter of Birmingham, Ala., Merle Baxter of Alva and Mike Baxter of Nashville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
