Mass of Christian Burial for Alice R. Sellers, 89, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. The Rev. Larry Kowalski will officiate. Burial will be 3 p.m. in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Moline, Kan. Arrangements are by Henn-inger-Allen Funeral Home.
She was born Jan. 19, 1917, in Elk Falls, Kan., to Frank Nicholas and Alice Mae Kieffe Kill and died Thursday, June 8, 2006, in Enid.
She graduated from Elk Falls High School and attended Wichita (Kan.) Business School. During World War II, she worked at 8th Army Headquarters, Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio.
She married William B. Sellers Feb. 14, 1942, in Stockton, Calif. They moved to Enid in 1964 where they owned and operated Sellers Aviation. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. She was a volunteer with Red Cross in Japan during the Korean War and with Alaskan Earthquake Relief of 1963. She volunteered at Our Daily Bread and St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
Surviving are one daughter, Alyce Cornyn-Selby of Portland, Ore.; one son, James F. Sellers of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son and several sisters and brothers.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Woodring Wall of Honor Museum.
The funeral for Edna Marie Belmear, 86, of Sapulpa, formerly of Medford, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Hills-Ely Funeral Home Chapel, Medford. Burial will be in Caldwell Cemetery, Caldwell, Kan. Visitation will be 1 to 7 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mon-day and 9 a.m. until service time Tues-day. The casket will remain closed at the service.
She was born March 31, 1920, on her grandfather’s homestead north of Medford, to Ansel Lee and Antonette Soukup Arterburn and died Sunday, June 4, 2006, in Sapulpa.
She attended country grade schools and graduated from Medford High School. She married Clinton Albert Belmear April 3, 1940, in Cherokee. They farmed east of Renfrow, moving to Medford in 1973. He died Dec. 5, 1994. She moved to Broken Arrow in 1998 and Sapulpa in 2000.
She was a member of Renfrow United Methodist Church and Eureka Star Home Demonstration Club.
Surviving are one son, Clinton A. Belmear Jr. of Owasso; one daughter, Linda Wilks of Broken Arrow; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and one great-grandson.

The graveside service for Monte R. Caywood, 67, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Monday in Garden Chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Brad Mendenhall will officiate. Arrange-ments are by Ladu-sau-Evans Funeral Home.
He was born July 22, 1938, in Chero-kee to Harold and Wilda Wil-cox Caywood and died Thursday, June 8, 2006, in Enid.
He moved to Enid with his family and graduated from Enid High School. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and in Korea. He later joined the Navy until his discharge from the service. He moved to Missouri and attended Austin Peay State College in Tennessee for four years. He also lived in Kansas and worked on a tugboat and ministered in Texas.
He moved back to Enid in 1979 and worked as office manager for Bert Service Co. for three years. He went through the nursing program at Autry Technology Center and did his internship at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. He worked at Kenwood Manor.
Surviving are one son, Walter Caywood; two daughters, Sincerae Caywood and Marie Caywood Crabb; one brother, Kelly Caywood; one sister, Carol Risor of Wagner; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandson.
The funeral for Ronald L. Horton, 70, of Woodward, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church, Woodward. The Rev. Brett Allen will officiate. Burial will be in High Point Cem-etery, Buf-falo. Ar-rangements are by Bill-ings Fu-neral Home.
He was born Aug. 7, 1935, in Buffalo to Wilbur Lee and Thelma Kathryn Gaddis Horton and died Saturday, June 10, 2006, at Bass Baptist Integris Health Center.
He was raised in Buffalo and graduated from Buffalo High School. He attended Oklahoma Baptist Univer-sity, Shawnee. He worked in Oklahoma City before moving back to Buffalo where he worked with his father at an abstract business. He married Sybil Rita Freeman Nov. 11, 1958 in Buffalo where they made their home. They moved to Woodward in the mid-1990s where he owned and operated Woodward County Abstract.
He was a member of First Baptist Church. He and his wife owned an art gallery and several other shops in Taos, N.M. They were involved in the Republican Party and worked on several campaigns, including those of Dewey Bartlett and Henry Bellmon.
Surviving are three daughters, Sandy Freeman-Eason of Purcell, Debbie Eddy of Dodge City, Kan., and Robin Tate of Woodward; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Sybil, he was preceded in death by one brother and one son.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, heart and lung division.
Joyce Cornish went quietly to be with the Lord at 2 p.m. on June 8 from home after a brave and lengthy battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2006, at Abundant Life Temple. Officiating will be Pastor David Robinson, the Rev. Terry Walborn and the Rev. Al Cascioli. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
She was born to LeRoy and Hattie Sparks (Maynard) in Enid, Oklahoma in August 1940. Joyce attended Enid High School. She married her loving husband, Ralph Cornish, on Dec. 4, 1959. They made their home in Enid. Joyce faithfully served the Lord and the congregation at Abundant Life Temple as a creative Sunday school secretary. She was a member of the choir and a soloist.
As a mother of three children, she remained at home until the children were older, then went to work at Enid Memorial and Meadowlake hospitals as a housekeeper.
Joyce is survived by her husband Ralph W. Cornish; her two sons, Edward Cornish and wife Cheryl of Enid and Jerry Cornish and wife Donna of Mesquite, TX; a daughter, Rhonda Joyner of Sweethome, OR; seven grandchildren, Azariah Cornish, Aurora Koehn (Cornish), Christopher Phares, Joshua Phares, Tazzi Joyner, Melody Cornish, Moriah Cornish; two great-grandchildren, Alexi Phares and Emily Koehn; three brothers, LeRoy Sparks, Johnny Sparks and Kenneth Sparks, all of Enid and two sisters, Mildred Frank of Creswell, OR and Sue Garis of Enid.
She was preceded in death by her father, “my daddy” LeRoy Sparks and her sister, “one of my best friends,” Arduth Tribble.
Joyce was a loving, caring mother, wife and friend who cared deeply and looked out for her own and those that the Lord brought across her path. The battle that the Lord allowed her to fight at the end was one she met with strength and determination to overcome. We will miss her smile and gracious spirit and anxiously await our reunion in Heaven. (Paid obit 6-11-2)
Funeral services for Nellie M. Spellman, age 89 of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2006 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bill Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cem-etery.
She was born Aug. 8, 1916 in Hillsdale, OK to James and Mary (Crouse) Sweet and died at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center Friday, June 9, 2006. She grew up in the Hillsdale community. She married James E. Morris in 1939, and he passed away in 1945. On Dec. 12, 1948, she married Fred R. Spellman. He passed away April 18, 1989.
She worked for Bond Bakery all through World War II. She worked on their farm for several years until moving back to Enid in 1952. She went to work in 1953 for the Enid Board of Education as a custodian until retirement.
She was a member of the North Central Iris Society, Sooner State Iris Society and American Iris Society and a member of the Bible Baptist Church.
She is survived by special friends Bill and Nikki Meyer and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, one brother and a niece, Carol Frecks.
The graveside service for Mildred R. Reddick Halley, 88, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Enid Cemetery. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
She was born April 26, 1918, in Shawnee to Elmer and Nora Dennis Martin and died Monday, June 5, 2006, at Bellview Rehab Center.
She attended Enid schools. She married Harold “Shag” Reddick July 8, 1935, in Pueblo, Colo. He preceded her in death in 1956. On March 28, 1978, she married John H. Halley Jr. They lived at Lake Texoma. She returned to Oklahoma City after his death in 1980.
Surviving are one daughter, Roberta Odom of Phoenix; one son, Dennis Reddick of Edmond; one brother, Jack Martin of Kansas City, Kan.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister and six brothers.
The funeral for Jo Colleen Sharp, 72, formerly of Mooreland, will be 2 p.m. Monday in Mooreland United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mike Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Mooreland Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Billings Funeral Home, Woodward. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
She was born in 1934 in Curtis to Roy E. And Bertha Keith Kinser and died Wednesday, June 7, 2006, after a series of strokes.
The family moved to Selman, Hammon and Buffalo before moving to Mooreland in 1942. She attended school there, graduating from Mooreland High School in 1952 as salutatorian.
She attended Oklahoma A&M and Northwestern State College before marrying M.L. “Mel” Sharp in 1953. From 1954 to 1956, she worked as a secretary in El Paso, Texas, while he served in the Army. They moved to California and she worked at General Dynamics as secretary to the chief engineer for the Atlas missile program from 1957 to 1959. In 1959, they moved to Seattle, where she worked as an executive secretary until 1963.
In 1975, they moved to Dallas and she owned and operated Jo’s Hallmark Shops. Since 1988, they have been retired, spending winters in Palm Springs, Calif., and summers in Horseshoe Bay, Texas.
In 1986, she funded a scholarship program in honor of her father at Northwestern Oklahoma State University to provide financial assistance to students from Mooreland.
She was a member of Mooreland Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband Mel; one son, Rory of Gatesville, Texas; one daughter, Lisa Jo Senioris of San Antonio; two sisters, Pat McGlamery of New Orleans and Eudeana North of Omaha, Neb.; and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Mooreland United Methodist Church Building Fund.
The funeral for Robert F. “Bob” Underwood, 81, of Woodward, will be 10 a.m. Monday in Billings Funeral Home Chapel, Woodward. Melvin Rittenhouse will officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery with the Army providing military graveside rites.
He was born July 10, 1924, in Coats, Kan., to Ray and Bertha Louise Rush Underwood and died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at his home.
He attended Luther Hill country school in Burlington, Wash. He married Eunice Richardson Nov. 25, 1942, in Canadian, Texas. They lived in Shattuck. He was inducted into the Army May 20, 1943, and served as a combat medic during World War II. He was honorably discharged Feb. 10, 1946, and they moved to Washington. In 1948, they returned to Shattuck. He worked for Sheans in Arnett and moved to Woodward in 1956. He retired in 1996 from Sheans after 46 years.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
Surviving are his wife Eunice Underwood, of the home; one son Roger Underwood of Canon City, Colo.; one daughter, Karen Fields of Woodward; two brothers, Wilbur Underwood of Winlock, Wash., and Enos Underwood of Mesa, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death two brothers and two grandchildren.
A graveside service for Ike “Shelby” Morris Jr., 78, of Canton, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Canton Cemetery. Keith Robinett will officiate. Arrangements are by Haigler Funeral Home, Canton.
He was born March 8, 1928, in Dugginsville, Mo., to Ike and Cora Effie Wolf Morris and died Friday, June 9, 2006, at Fairview Hos-pital.
When he was a young boy, his family moved to the Canton and Longdale area, where he attended school. On March 29, 1949, he entered the Army, serving during the Korean War. He married Berniece Edwards Feb. 2, 1952, and they lived in Del City. She died in October 1977.
On Jan. 18, 1980, he married Margaret Moore Wellington in Oklahoma City. They lived in Del City until his retirement from Tinker Air Force Base after 30 years. They then moved to the Canton area.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret, of the home; one daughter, Verlda Roberts, of Norman; two stepsons, Mike Wellington of Grants, N.M., and Tom Wellington of Albuquerque, N.M.; one stepdaughter, Jackie Kopf of Canton; one sister, Edna Bond Smith, of Canton; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his first wife, Berniece, he was preceded in death by one sister.
