The funeral for Pearl O. Mitchell, 88, of Enid will be 11 a.m. Satur-day, Dec. 24, 2005, at First Mission-ary Baptist Church. Robert Robinson, elder, will officiate. Burial will be in King-fisher Cemetery. Arrangements are by Russworm Funeral Home, Enid.
She was born Feb. 20, 1917, in Kingfisher to George Leatherman Jr. and Olive Julia Raysor and died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, in Wichita, Kan.
She graduated from King-fisher schools. She attended Colorado Music Conser-vatory, where she became a musical missionary, involved in several Oklahoma churches including those in Pauls Valley, Watonga, Perry, Westside and Antioch Church of God in Christ, Enid.
She was one of the first three African-ancestored licensed practical nursing student graduates of the first nursing class at O.T. Autry Vo-Tech. She worked at St. Mary’s and Bass hospitals and was museum trustee for Southern Heights Heritage Center and Museum, Enid.
She was a member of First Church, Enid, recently being honored as past district missionary.
Surviving are Hulon Mitchell Jr. and Marcia Mitchell both of Florida, Leon G. Mitchell Sr. of Bethany, Palmor Jean Mitchell of Oklahoma City, James L. and Oliver A. Mitchell, both of Wichita, JaAnn Mitchell of Katy, Texas, Gwen Mitchell of Tulsa, Ramona Mitchell, Thelma Mitchell, Barbara Mitchell, Jefferson C. Mitchell, Janice Mitchell, Leona P. Mitchell and Marvin L. Mitchell all of Enid, and more than 300 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial for Bertha Adelia Conrady Cink, 95, of Wakita will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Assumption Church, Wakita. The Rev. Mike Wheelahan will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Medford. Arrange-ments are by Hills-Ely Funeral Home, Medford.
She was born July 5, 1910, northeast of Wakita to Robert and Katherine Conrady and died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, at Community Health Center, Wakita.
She attended Mound Ridge Country School, northeast of Wakita. She married Emil Charles Cink Nov. 26, 1936. They made their home northeast of Wakita. He died Nov. 22, 1978. She then moved to Wakita.
She was active in the church, serving on committees, and held several offices, including president of St. Ann’s Altar Society. She was named a lifetime member of Wakita Educational Found-ation.
Surviving are four daughters, Phyllis Devery of Alva, Bernadette Sheflin of Deatsville, Ala., Marcella Hinkle of Edmond and Donna Ransom of Enid; one sister, Otilda “Tillie” Cink of Wakita; two brothers, Louis Conrady of Jenks and Edwin Conrady of Wakita; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Emil, she was preceded in death by one daughter.
Memorials may be made to Wakita Community Health Center.
A private graveside service for Nick Mancillas, 83, of Woodward will be today in Elmwood Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Johnson’s Good Samaritan Funeral Service.
He was born Jan. 10, 1922, in Woodward to Maximiano and Maria Perez Mancillas and died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at Grace Living Center, Woodward.
He attended school in Woodward. He joined the Army in 1942 to 1945. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad for four years and then for the International Harvester dealership, Wood-ward. He worked as a mechanic for 19 years before going to work for Dowell Co. where he worked maintenance for 16 years before retiring.
He married Cleona Maxine Taylor April 29, 1943, in Woodward.
Surviving are his wife, Cleona of the home; two daughters, Mary Hayes and Carolyn Riseley both of Woodward; two brothers, Gene Mancillas of Arlington, Texas, and Bill Mancillas of Temple, Texas; two sisters, Mickey Martinez of White Deer, Texas, and Loretta Mancillas of Enid; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, two sisters and one brother.

A graveside service for Larry Unruh, 79, of Enid will be 10 a.m. Saturday in New Hopedale Mennonite Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. John Jamieson will officiate. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
He was born Sept. 18, 1926, near Meno to Herbert and Susie Buller Unruh and died Wed-nesday Dec. 21, 2005, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.
He graduated from Ring-wood High School and attended college. During World War II he served in the European Theater with the Army.
He married Ercell Shaw Jan. 28, 1954, in Casper, Wyo. They moved to Enid in 1969. She preceded him in death.
He was a driller in the oil fields, retiring in 1981. He then owned a lawn service.
He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Am Vets and Moose Lodge.
Surviving are three daughters, Kathy Helterbrand of Enid, Laurie Stone of Fort Worth, Texas, and Marilyn Bell of Arkadelphia, Ark.; one son, Tech Sgt. Shawn Unruh of Hill Air Force Base, Utah; 10 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Besides his wife, Ercell, he was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Richard H. Bruhn, 82, died suddenly December 19, 2005, at his home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. today, December 22, 2005, at the Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden Chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the church with the funeral home as custodian of the funds.
Richard was born September 28, 1923, in Assumption, IL. to Ronald E. and Pauline Dalton Bruhn. He was a paper boy and worked after school at a filling station while in high school. He graduated from Sidney High School. He and Delores V. Potts were married in 1942, and he was drafted in the U.S. Army later that same year. He was later called back during the Korean War. He worked for C S Johnson and Company in Champaign, IL and then was transferred to Enid with Speedstar in 1975, where he was traffic manager until retiring in 1986.
Richard was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, certified lay speaker, finance chairman, Pastor-Parish Relations Committees and volunteered in the under privileged food program at Bethany United Methodist Church. He helped the second grade teacher with administrative duties at Hoover Elementary and listened to children read, and was Booker T. Washington Volunteer of the Year in 1989. He had given 7 gallons of blood at Oklahoma Blood Institute and had been exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge in 1963.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris V., February 15, 1988, one brother, and one sister.
He is survived by his companion of 17 years, Barbara Moore of Enid; a daughter, Missy Bruhn and her husband, Brad Korris, Lenexa, Kan.; a son, Rich Bruhn of Wichita; one granddaughter, Erin Korris of Denver; two nieces; and four nephews.

A funeral for Rudolph “Rudy” Christopher Jimenez, age 60, will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2005, at the Garriott Road Church of Christ, with Minister Ray Rose, Mike Buesing and Steven Minor officiating.
He was born to Manuel Vega and Lela (Sanchez) Jimenez in Enid on February 21, 1945, and died Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at his home in Enid.
Rudy grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany with the 150th Transportation Group. On November 14, 1969, he married Barbara Ellen Readnour in Enid. He was employed as a plumber with Moulton Plumbing and then Luckinbill, Inc. for 33 years, before retiring in June 2005. Rudy was a member of Local 344 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. He was a faithful member of Garriott Road Church of Christ. Rudy loved doing for others and being with his kids, grandkids and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home; two daughters, Kimberly A. Buesing and husband Mike of Midwest City, and Stephani K. Minor and husband Steven of Piedmont; six grandchildren, Barret, Corey, Spencer, Micah, Mason, Makenna; one brother, Luis Jiminez of Lexington, OK; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, John, Joe and Manuel Jimenez; and one sister, Shirley Jimenez.

Alyce Elizabeth Geis was born at the Masonic Hospital in Cherokee on May 11, 1918, to Fred W. and Rhoda Millspaugh Hankey. She lived with her parents in Amorita until the age of 12 when the family moved to Fairview for two years. She then resided in Cherokee from 1932 to 1993 except for a short residence in Oklahoma City from 1943 to 1945. She resided at Golden Oaks Village in Enid from 1993, until her death.
Alyce married Raymond Geis on September 24, 1938, in Cherokee. She served in many departments as Sunday School teacher, the pastors’ secretary and church organist at First Baptist Church in Cherokee.
With her husband, she owned and operated the Music Shoppe in Cherokee for 12 years and later served as receptionist and bookkeeper of the Masonic Hospital and Dr. C. L. Benson.
After moving to Enid, she was endorsed by First Baptist Church and North American Mission Board as a volunteer chaplain at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center under the supervision of Dennis Treat. During her lifetime, she gave time and service to Baptist Women on Missions, Jr. Study Club, Chapter AZ, PEO, Robert Coe Chapter of DAR, Mother’s Self Culture Club, Alfalfa County Historical Society, Gideon Auxiliary, Integris Bass Baptist Health Center Auxiliary and various Golden Oaks volunteer programs, including the Busy Hands group who knitted and crocheted caps and blankets for the new babies at Integris, as well as Hope Outreach mothers. She loved teaching and mentoring young mothers in Cherokee and loved teaching her Sunday School class in Enid’s First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant sisters, one infant brother, a sister and husband, Barbara and Truman Reno and her devoted husband, Raymond Geis.
She is survived by a son, Larry Ray of Sebastapol, CA; a daughter, Margaret E. Smith and her husband Keith of Cherokee; three grandchildren, Jeremiah of Enid; Alicia and her husband Brian Mitchell of Cherokee, and Zachariah, also of Cherokee. She is survived by three great-grandchildren, Anna, Alex and Evan Mitchell, all of Cherokee; one sister, Naomi Cullen of Cherokee; and a brother, Robert Hankey of Oklahoma City, as well as devoted nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 23, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Cherokee with Reverend Tom Cooksey and Shorty Unruh officiating. Burial will be in the Cherokee Municipal Cemetery under the direction of the Goodwin Funeral Home of Cherokee. Visitation at the funeral home will be today, Dec. 22, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
A special memorial service will be held at a later date at the Golden Oaks Village Chapel.
Donations may be made in her honor to First Baptist Church of Cherokee, or the Golden Oaks Village Chapel fund. (Paid Obit 12-22-1)
The funeral for Claudus “Bud” Marion Fleming, 78, of Buffalo will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Buffalo. The Rev. Jerry Hodges will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasent Ridge Cemetery, north of Laverne. Arrangements are by Myatt Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday.
He was born March 4, 1927, northeast of Doby Springs west of Buffalo to James W. and Georgia E. Wilson Fleming and died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at his home.
He attended Doby Springs and Rosston schools and graduated from Buffalo High School.
He married Dorothy Duble April 4, 1948, at Buffalo. He later married Olive Brawner Helton Aug. 9, 1997, at Buffalo. He was a retired supervisor for the city of Oklahoma City.
Surviving are his wife, Olive of the home; three daughters, Claudine White of Spencer, Claudette Aitken of Buffalo, and Carvette McCalib of Salinas, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Vicky Ray Mease and Lora Lee Mease of Rogersville, Tenn.; one stepson, James Edward Mease of Buffalo; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, and three sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Senior Citizens Center, Buf-falo.
The funeral for Alfred Leroy “Al” Hurt, 57, of Chester will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Seiling Church of Christ. The Rev. Scott Hoover will officiate. Burial will be in Orion Cemetery. Arrangements are by Redinger Funeral Home. The casket will be open at the church prior to the service.
He was born Jan. 9, 1948, at Arcadia, Calif., to Alfred “Shortie” and Wanda Strecker Hurt and died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at Watonga.
He attended Lakeside school, and later moved to Enid. He moved back to Chester and graduated from Seiling High School in 1966. He entered the Navy, serving in Vietnam. After the service, he moved to Austin, Texas, where he worked for Steck-Warlick Printing Co.
He married Donna Jean Merkord July 2, 1972, at Walburg, Texas. They made their home in Granger, Texas, where he worked for Westinghouse. They moved to Chester in 1978. He has worked in the oil field the past 20 years, and was employed as a driller with United Drilling Co.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Hurt of the home; one daughter, Kimberly Hurt of Palo Alto, Calif.; three sons, Steven Hurt of Weatherford, Kevin Hurt of Seiling and Kyle Hurt of Chester; his mother, Wanda Hurt of Chester; two sisters, Carrie Jones of Ringwood and Vicky Swanson of Enid; two brothers, Leo Dean Hurt of Yukon and Jon Mark Hurt of Meno; and seven grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to a college fund for Kyle Hurt or Orion Cemetery.
The funeral for Vernie Edwards, 75, of Woodward will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Garden Chapel of Johnson’s Good Samaritan Funeral Service, Woodward. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 30, 1930, at Woodward to Vernie “Brock” and Opal Carey Edwards and died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at Grace Living Center.
He grew up north of Woodward and graduated from Fort Supply High School.
He married Joan Sheley April 14, 1951, at Woodward where they made their home. He worked at Western State Hospital.
They later moved to Guymon, then Rancho Mirage, Calif., before returning to Oklahoma where he worked at Dillingham Ranch, Okmulgee. They returned to Woodward where he coached basketball and baseball at Kids Inc. for five years.
He was a member of Church of Christ and preached for a time at Buffalo Church of Christ and Vici Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Joan of the home; one son, Robert Edwards of Woodward; one daughter, Judy Schneider of Fort Supply; one brother, Dean Edwards of Woodward; two sisters, Charlotte Freeman and Charlene Day, both of Woodward; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Fifth Street Church of Christ building fund.
