The funeral for Althon H. Prim, 92, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Earl M. Temple Memorial Chapel, Oklahoma City. Burial will be in Morrison Cemetery, Hennes-sey. Arrangements are by Temple and Sons funeral Directors Inc., Oklahoma City.
He was born April 16, 1913, in Bison to George Hugh and Sarah Hinton Prim and died Friday, March 31, 2006.
A wake for Mary Jane Dancer, 65, of Moore, will be 6:30 p.m. today at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Friday at the church with graveside service at 3 p.m. in Bison Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Baggerley-South Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
She was born May 5, 1940, to George and Nola Faye Roach Pribil and died Tuesday, April 4, 2006.
She graduated from Enid Memorial Catholic High School and was a member of 4-H for eight years. She graduated from Southwestern State University in 1965 with a degree in psychology. She then attended Newman College in Wichita, Kan., for post-graduate studies.
She worked for child welfare in Lawton and married Melvin Dancer June 29, 1968, in Bison. They returned to Garfield County and lived on a farm in Ames for two years. He reenlisted in the Army and they were stationed at Fort Sill, Fort Knox and in Germany. She was a member and secretary of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church and Altar Society.
Surviving are her husband, Melvin, of the home.
A memorial service for Peggy Wasson, 84-year-old, Lahoma resident, will be 1 p.m. today, April 6, 2006, at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church. The Rev. Stephen Samples will officiate. Her remains were cremated per her request. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
She was born Jan. 2, 1922, in Portsmouth, England, and died Monday, April 3, 2006, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.
She attended school in Portsmouth. After graduation she worked in a hospital there.
She married Melvin O. Wasson in Dorset, England, where he was serving in the European Theater of Operations. The couple made their home in Holdenville. Mr. Wasson worked for the Rainbow Baking Co. and Peggy maintained the home. The couple moved to Enid in 1966.
She is survived by three children; her daughters, Linda DePriter, and Kathleen Massey and husband Matt, and son Terry Wasson and his wife Rita; three grandchildren, Tonya Parsons and husband Michael of Longview, Texas, Kristy Brown and husband Jerome of Lahoma, and Brooke of Lahoma; five great-grandchildren, Colleen, Devon, Haleigh, Kali and Ashlynne.
She was preceded in death by a son, Brian, her husband Melvin, and her mother Kathleen Blake.
The funeral for Tommy Ray Phillips, 58, of Alva, will be 2 p.m. Monday at College Hill Church of Christ. Woody Hamon and Gary Henson will officiate. Burial will be in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Wharton Fu-neral Cha-pel, Alva.
He was born Aug. 31, 1948, to Evelyn Marie McDowell and Merle J. Phillips and died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, in Wichita, Kan.
He attended Greenleaf rural grade school and Alva school system, graduating in 1967. He joined the Navy Feb. 13, 1969, serving on the USS Terrell (LST. 1161) as an E-3 and discharged Feb. 4, 1971. He attended Okmulgee Tech. He married Connie Coker Sept. 8, 1979, in Tulsa. They made their home in Oklahoma City where he worked as a diesel mechanic. In 1989 they moved to Alva and began farming and ranching.
Surviving are his wife, Connie; two sons, Bryan and Roy Phillips; one sister, Merlene Olson of Aline; one brother, Dewey Phillips of Alva; and one granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, heart division.
The funeral for Warren Clinton Yohn, 83, of Harrison, Ark., formerly of Huntsville, Ark., and Enid, will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Brashears Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jim Spurlock will officiate. Burial will be in Reeves Cemetery near Kingston, Ark. Arrangements are by Brashears Funeral Home, Huntsville. Visitation with the family will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He was born May 18, 1923, in Alva to George Clinton and Myrtle Eva Green Yohn and died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, in Harrison.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army, and was a member of Huntsville Free Will Baptist Church. He was a member of Haye-Smith Post No. 137 American Legion in Huntsville and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are six sons, Gary Yohn of Yakima, Wash., Donnie Yohn of Phoenix, Charles Yohn of Saint Paul, Ark., Allen Yohn of Prairie Grove, Ark., Roy Yohn of New Mexico and George Yohn of Green Forest, Ark.; four daughters, Janie Blair and Sarah Howell, both of Yakima, Caroline Edwards of Huntsville, Ark., and Mary Carr of Harrison, Ark.; one brother, Earnie Yohn of Leslie, Ark.; one sister, Gloria Walker of Welch; 33 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Etta Mae Teachman Yohn, in 2002
The funeral for Ora Schnell, 90, of Hitchcock, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Okeene. Paul Evans, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Omega Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery, Omega. Arrangements are by Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga.
He was born April 6, 1916, in Okeene to John and Martha Hein Schnell and died Monday, April 2, 2007.
He married Losie Schaffler Grentz in 1938. She died in 1993. They farmed and raised cattle for many years. In 1966 they moved to Watonga. He continued to raise wheat and worked for Blaine County road maintenance department and a local lumberyard. He later married Evelyn Scheffler White of Hitchcock. He was a member of Okeene Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Surviving are his wife Evelyn Schnell of Hitchcock; one son, De-Wane of Watonga; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his first wife Losie, he was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
A Rosary for Henry Bernard Huhman, 95, of Okeene, will be 6 p.m. Sunday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Roberto Quant will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wilkinson Mortuary. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
He was born May 21, 1911, in St. Elizabeth, Mo., to Joseph and Margaret Boeckman Huhman and died Tuesday, April 3, 2007.
He moved to Okeene in 1933. He entered the Army in 1941 and served in the northern France Normandy campaign and the Algeria French Morocco campaign. He was discharged in 1945. He was a partner in owning and operating Farmers Service Station for 40 years. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Okeene, and Knights of Columbus. He married Marie Kirchner in Okeene, on April 15, 1947.
Surviving are his wife Marie, of the home in Okeene; one son, Anthony Huhman of Enid; two daughters, Mary Margaret Werth of Hutchinson, Kan., and Rose Anne Monahan of Murrysville, Pa.; one brother, William Huhman of St. Elizabeth, Mo.; two sisters, Corine Flick and Clara Rowan, both of Jefferson City, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church parish hall fund.
The funeral for Mildred L. Gravatt, 85, of Kingfisher, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Federated Church. The Revs. Charlie Smith and Dean Roy Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Kingfisher Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sanders Funeral Service, Kingfisher.
She was born June 27, 1921, 10 miles west of Okarche to Henry and Louise Hauber Schweitzer and died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, in Kingfisher.
She married Blane James Gravatt May 17, 1938, in El Reno. He died in 1988. They made their home in California. After retiring, they moved back to Yukon where they made their home until 1988. In June 1988 she moved to Kingfisher.
Surviving are two sisters, Annamae Castonguay and Ernestine Castonguay, both of Kingfisher.
In addition to her husband Blane, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

The funeral for Jeffrey Douglas Shewey, 40, of Washington D.C. will be 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, Enid. The Rev. David Wiggs will officiate. Burial will be in Me-morial Park Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
He was born Jan. 24, 1967, in Tulsa to William E. and Jana L. Gamster Shewey and died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, in Washington, D.C.
He graduated from Enid High School in 1985 and attended the University of Tulsa. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He was a financial consultant for Sallie Mae, Cybermark, Accenture, and Booz Allen Hamilton. He became a sales associate for Coldwell Banker Realty in Washington, D.C., in 2004. He formed his own company, HomeSoldHome.
Surviving are his companion, Randall Borgersen of Washington, D.C.; his parents, Bill and Jana Shewey of Enid; grandmother, Audra Gamster of Enid; one sister, Jennifer Crenshaw of Enid; and one brother, Brian Shewey of Enid.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to First United Methodist Church of Enid.
The funeral for Victor Welch, 94, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Helena. The Rev. Vera Walton and Shorty Unruh will officiate. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Helena. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Saturday, with the family present from 11 a.m. to noon.
He was born June 22, 1912, in Helena to Mark and Jennie Welch and died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, in Enid.
He graduated from Helena High School in 1930 and from Oklahoma A & M in Stillwater in 1934 with a bachelor’s degree. He earned a master’s degree in education from Phillips University in Enid. Following graduation from Oklahoma A & M, he farmed in Helena and taught at West Oklahoma Orphans Home, Helena. He married Vera Joy White in 1935. She died in 1983. He taught at the Helena Training School for Boys and public schools in Jet, Ringwood, Helena, Goltry, Bishop, Avard in Oklahoma and Cimarron Valley, Goddard and Wichita in Kansas. He coached football while in Jet and was superintendent at Goltry. He retired from teaching in 1978 and returned to Helena. He raised wheat and cattle. During breaks from teaching, he managed the AAA farm program in Buffalo. He was also a county agent in Harper County. He married Bessie Kline in 1984. They made their home in Helena until 1997 when they moved to Golden Oaks Village in Enid.
Surviving are his wife Bessie; one brother, Melvin Welch of Helena; three stepchildren, Shelly Lunday, Les Kline and Mary Frech ; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.
In addition to his first wife Vera, he was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one brother and one sister.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to a charity of donors choice.
Funeral services for Fred Merlin Weber, 74-year-old Enid resident will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Henninger-Allen Chapel with Pastor Richard Fleig officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Henninger-Allen Fun-eral Home.
Fred was born on Octo-ber 16, 1932, in Okeene, OK, the son of Harry Weber and Beatrice (Bush) Weber and died Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at his home.
He married Mary Countryman on May 12, 1957, at the Weber house in Okeene, Oklahoma. In 1962 they moved to Enid to make it their home.
Fred served in the United States Army during the Korean War. While in the Army he worked as a cook which he enjoyed very much. He liked to fish and be outdoors.
Fred worked at Don Paul’s Restaurant in 1966 and continued to Richill’s until he retired in 2000 as chef.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of the home; two daughters: Elizabeth Hall of Newton, KS and Lisa Gorton and her husband, Jay of Wichita, KS; two sons: Fred M. Weber, Jr. and his wife, Denise of Lincolnton, NC and Jimmy D. Weber and his wife, Eilene of Enid; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Benny Weber, San Antonio, TX.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Harry Jr., Carl & Kenneth Weber.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Henninger-Allen Funeral Home acting as custodian of the fund.
A funeral service for Billy Joe Babb, 71, of Fairmont, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Timothy Dorsch officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be today from 6 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The casket will be open until service time.
He was born to Gene Garfield and Ruth Naomi (Venable) Babb on September 25, 1935, in Holden-ville, OK, and died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, in Oklahoma City.
He grew up in Holdenville and attended schools there. On February 6, 1956, he married Mary Browning in Ada. They made their home in Wewoka. He drove trucks for Wrangler, Coca-Cola, and Jackson Cookie Company. They moved to Enid in 1974, and then to Fairmont in 1996. He enjoyed mowing, fishing, and bowling. He was owner/operator of his own truck, most recently leased to TMC. He was a truck driver for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife Mary, of the home; their beloved dog “Baby Girl Babb”; two children, Billie Burwell and husband Michael of Fairmont, and Ronda Burgess of Burneyville, OK; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five brothers, Robert “Bob” Babb of McAlester, Wayne Babb of Wewoka, Raymond Babb, Jack Babb, and Johnny Babb, all of Holdenville; three sisters, Marie Grimes and Fern Shockley, both of Holdenville, and Jane Meyers of Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, and half sister, Naomi Green.
