LORENE GUTHRIE
The funeral for Lorene Guthrie, 72, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Friday, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel. The Rev. R G Garland will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
She was born May 1, 1933, in Nash to Ralph and Lena Weichold Buchanan and died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006.
She graduated from Nash High School. She moved to Enid in 1963.
Surviving are two daughters, Lucinda “Cindy” Miller Will of Hennessey and Cheryl John of Enid; three brothers, Jerry Buchanan of Medford, Bill Buchanan of Little Rock, Ark., and Johnnie Buchanan of South Carolina; one sister, Rosemarie Townley of Washington; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Ken, she was preceded in death by one brother, one sister and one grandson.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Cancer Division.

LOLA DAY ROBINSON
The funeral for Lola Day Robinson, 80, of Hitchcock, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, Hitchcock. Ron Wray and the Rev. Frank Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery, Hitchcock. Arrangements are by Wilkinson Mortuary, Watonga.
She was born Feb. 14, 1925, to John H. and Della Day and died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006.
She married P.J. Robinson Dec. 19, 1941. They spent several years in Middle Well, Texas, before retiring to Hitchcock in 1988. He died March 21, 2005. She was a homemaker and helped farm.
Surviving are five daughters, Linda Scheffler, Tammie Wray and Nita Wray, all of Hitchcock, Diana Heckler of Albuquerque, N.M., and Lavanda Locker of Cleveland; two sons, Tony Robinson of Pampa, Texas, and Roy Robinson of Keyes; three sisters, Lula Folsom, Doris Newton and Loretta Day, all of Holdenville; 32 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, P.J., she was preceded in death by one son, five grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.

HELEN ZOOK
Graveside service for Helen Zook, age 91, of Pond Creek, will be 3 p.m. today, January 25, 2005, at White Cemetery, Hunter, under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek, with Rev. Darrin McCarty officiating.
She was born July 9, 1914, in Hunter, Oklahoma, to Joseph M. and Laura Belle Beeson Williams. Helen died January 22, 2005, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid.
She attended school at Rosewood Country School, Longfellow Junior High and graduated from Enid High in 1931. She also attended Phillips University and graduated from Oklahoma A&M in 1937, with a degree in education. Her teaching career included Custer one-room school four miles east of Hunter, Grove (Oklahoma) High School and the Institute of Logopedics, Wichita, Kansas.
On December 18, 1937, she married William Zook in Tulsa, and the family lived in numerous states while pursuing his career with the U.S. Army and the Boeing Aircraft Company. After retirement they spent several years traveling throughout the U.S. and Canada in a motorhome.
She was a member of the Pond Creek United Methodist Church and Sunshine Community Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Zook; daughter, Dee Ann Zook; and one brother, George Williams.
Helen is survived by her sister-in-law, Opal Williams of Hunter; two nieces, Betty Williams of Hunter and Doris Leonard of Grand Junction, Colorado; two nephews, Monty Williams of Enid and Bruce and wife Suellen Williams of Hunter; and seven grand-nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Pond Creek Firemen’s Association.

ROBERT ‘BOB’ STEWART
A graveside service for Robert “Bob” Stewart, age 81, of Enid, will be held Thursday, January 26, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery. Frank Stewart will officiate. Arrangements are made by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Robert was born July 2, 1924, in Covington, Ky., to Jackson and Virgie Lee Darrell Stewart and died at his home, January 23, 2006. He attended school in Kentucky. He worked for Graves Trucking, Emrick and Lee Way Transfer & Storage, Dennis Plumbing and Central Machine & Tool. He married Doris Tinder, July 2, 1945, in Marietta, OK.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Nellie Seeds; brothers, Frank Stewart of Cleves, Ohio, Joe Stewart of Garrett, Ky., and Leslie Stewart of Maysville, Ky.; sisters, Leona Good of Independence, Ky., Viola Thompson of Covington, Ky., and Gertrude Keltner of Masaryktown, Fla.; three grandchiuldren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Doris, a brother, and two step-sons.
Memorials may be made to Heart or Lung Association or donor’s choice with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds.

HAZEL ELIZABETH BUSSE
The funeral for Hazel Busse, 97, of Perry, will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ed Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home of Perry.
She was born Dec. 19, 1909, in Billings, to Herbert Armstrong and Lida Marie Rishton McMullen,and died Sunday, March 11, 2007.
She was raised in the Billings area. She married Lloyd Moore Jan. 6, 1936, in Perry. He died Aug. 9, 1946. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Mary Circle, Petunia Garden Club and the Friendly Community Fellowship.
Surviving are three daughters, Marilyn Eby of Prescott, Ariz., Phyllis Oliphant of Norman, and Jan Billingsley of Perry; two sisters, Florence Dalrymple of Osage City, Kan. and Alice Yandell of Dallas, Texas; nine grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, two granddaughters, and four brothers.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to First United Methodist Chruch.

WILLIAM ‘BLAKE’ CULP
The funeral for William “Blake” Culp, 61, of Enid, will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Pat Horst will officaite. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 8, 1945, in Columbia, S.C. to Tom and Clydie Squires Culp Sr. and died Friday, March 9, 2007, in St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
He attended Junior High and Enid High School graduating in 1965. He served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of the Enid Police Department for 10 years. He worked for Champlin Refinery for five years, was chief of police for the town of Garber for two years. He was chief of police for North Enid for 10 years and worked for the Department of Human Services at Northern Oklahoma Resource Center of Enid. He worked as a suprvisor for James Crabtree Correctional Center for five years. He worked as a cook at NORCE until his health forced him to quit. He married Ann Sperry Kelley May 14, 1999, in Eureka Springs, Ark. He was a member of Oklahoma Peace Officers Association.
Surviving are his wife Ann Kelley, of the home; one son, Warrant Officer Cody Culp of Korea; one daughter, Kimberly Culp of Vermont; one brother, Tom Culp Jr. of Enid; one sister, Melba J. Lamb of Pensacola, Fla.; and three grandsons.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to National M.S. Society or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, M.S. division.

LORETTA GALE HAIGH
The funeral for Loretta Gale McElfresh Haigh, 54, of Wichita, Kan., formerly of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Rick Milan will officiate. She was cremated at her request.
She was born Aug. 27, 1952, in Enid to James Albert and Coy Mae Milan McElfresh and died Friday, March 9, 2007, in Wichita.
She was raised in Enid and attended Ames Schools. She was a self-employed painter.
Surviving are three children, Lisa Dean of Kansas and David Dean and Sharmae Keith, both of Wichita; four brothers, Anthony McElfresh of Enid, Albert McElfresh of Burns Flat, Jimmy Wendt of Turon, Kan., and Mike Wendt of Gueda Springs, Kan.; four sisters, Pat Black, Diane Winkleman, Pamela Jones and Betty Ann Petty, all of Enid; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.

FAITH JEANINE ANDERSON
A graveside service for Faith Jeanine Anderson, 74, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Waukomis Cemetery. The Rev. Lester Lowry will officiate. Arrang-ements are by Lad-usau-Evans Funeral Home.
She was born May 26, 1932, in Moline, Ill., to James Clinton and Marion Lucille Metz Crawford, and died Friday, March 9, 2007, in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.
She married Wayne Anderson Oct. 11, 1948, in Springfield, Ill. He died July 9, 2000.
Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Guthrie and Vicki Goldiron, both of Enid; one son, Wayne “Butch” Anderson of Enid; one brother, Jim Crawford; four sisters, Verla Forshee, Sharon Rowland, Monna Younger and Terry Crawford; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister.

PAUL T. SISSEL
A funeral service for Paul Trueman Sissel, 88, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at Central Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Kevin Ward and Rev. Steve Lance officiating. Burial will be 3:30 p.m. in Fairfax Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be today from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born to Franklin Trueman and Dorothy Annie (McMahan) Sissel on Sept. 29, 1918, in Magdalena, N.M., and died Thrusday, March 8, 2007, at his home in Enid.
He grew up in Fairfax, and graduated from Fairfax High School. On Oct. 1, 1939, he married Sarah W. Rollins in Fairfax. Paul served in the United States Army during World War II. He was the recipient of the Silver Star for Bravery on April 16, 1945. Paul and Sarah moved to Enid in 1971, where he worked for Champlin Oil Company for 38 years, retiring March 2, 1981. He was a member of Central Assembly of God Church, where he was Royal Ranger Commander for 37 years, Assistant Sunday School Superintendent, and a Sunday School teacher. He also served on the Board of Deacons and as Secretary of the Men’s Fellowship.
He is survivef by his wife, Sarah, of the home; five children, Dallas Paul Sissel and wife Carol of Shawnee, Kan., James Franklin Sissel and wife Doris of Victoria, Kan., Howard Eugene Sissel and wife Ruth Ann of Ponca City, Raymond Dale Sissel of Lefors, Texas, and Sharon Scruggs and husband Darrell of Drummond; two brothers, Roy Sissel and wife Leona of Maize, Kan., and Arthur Sissel and wife Donna of Fritch, Texas; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Frank Sissel in 1972, his mother, Dorothy Sissel in 1986, daughter, Cheryl Renae Sissel in 1952, and four brothers, David, F.T., Alvin and John Sissel.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Central Assembly of God Church Royal Rangers Program or Oklahoma Medical Research Found-ation, Alzheimer’s division.

MEDFORD ‘DANNY’ HAYS
A private family memorial service for Medford Daniel “Danny” Hays, 56, of Hennessey, will be at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
He was born April 10, 1950, in Holdenville to Charles Medford and Ruby Opal Smith Hays and died Friday, March 2, 2007, in Enid.
He grew up and attended school in Wewoka. He worked in the oil fields as a driller in the Weatherford area. He moved to Hennessey in January 2003.
Surviving are one son, Quinton Daniel Hays of Mount Sterling, Ky; four brothers, Bob Hays of Seminole, Tom Hays and Jerry Hays, both of Oklahoma City and David Hays of Terrell, Texas; two sisters, Jewel Babiak of Hennessey and Darlene Hays of Richardson, Texas; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

EDNA MAE TONTZ
The funeral for Edna Mae Tontz, 86, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Crescent. Dan Curtis and Keith Gordon, pastors, will officiate. Burial will be in Crescent Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Abernathy-Aaron Funeral Home, Crescent. Viewing will be 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
She was born May 17, 1920, to Carl and Allie Nall Marrs and died March 1, 2007, in Guthrie.
She married Leonard Tontz Dec. 8, 1938, in Crescent. She worked as a cook at the Masonic Temple and cooked and served as kitchen manager at Guthrie High School for 20 years. She was a member of Farm Women’s (HCE) Club for over 40 years. She worked as a volunteer cook at Camp Joy and was active in the Abell community. She attended First Christian Church in Crescent.
Surviving are her husband Leonard, of the home; two sons, Robert Tontz and Len Tontz, both of Guthrie; one daughter, Alma Hopkins of Guthrie; three sisters, Vera Gurley of Fort Worth, Texas, Alice Kordis of Inola and Eva Bench of Guthrie; one brother, Wayne Marrs of Euless, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Logan Medical Center Foundation, Guthrie Public School Foundation or First Christian Church of Crescent.
