The funeral for Edna Katherine Reimer, 94, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Page, Ariz. Arrange-ments are by Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Ariz.
She was born Oct. 29, 1913, near Medford to P.H. and Katherina Martens Reimer and died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, at Flagstaff Medical Center.
She worked in Medford and Enid before she married Bernard J. Reimer. They moved to Arizona in 1956 to work in the mission field. She worked beside her husband for more than 30 years on the Navajo reservation.
She taught Sunday school and started the first church choir at the mission.
Surviving are her children, Dr. Don Reimer of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, Delcena Reimer Harper of Flagstaff, Dean Reimer of Mesa, Ariz., and Deb Ketcherside of Bullfrog, Utah; two brothers, Milton Reimer of Burlington, Colo., and Ramon Reimer of Medford; one sister, Irma Krehbiel of Stillwater; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Bernard, she was preceded in death by one brother and a sister.

A graveside service for Kanin Taylor Parris, infant son of Shawn Edward and Stormy Dawn Johnson Parris, will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Mount Hope Cemetery, Ripley. Pastor Wayne Hardy will officiate. Arrangements are by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, Perry.
He was born Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, and died Monday, Jan. 14, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa.
Surviving are his parents, Shawn and Stormy Dawn Parris of Sand Springs; one sister, Shyann Parris of Sand Springs; and grandparents, Floyd and Shelby Parris of Stillwater and Bill and Sheryl Johnson of Ripley.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, OK 73077 to St. Francis Hospital neonatal ward or labor and delivery.
The funeral for Kenneth Lee Case, 46, will be 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Alva. The Rev. Terry Martindale will officiate. Burial will be in Alva Muni-cipal Cem-etery. Ar-rangements are by Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva.
He was born May 22, 1961, in Alva to Alvena Mae Davidson and Donald Lee “Bud” Case and died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at Share Medical Center, Alva.
He attended Alva Public Schools and graduated in 1979. He then attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University. He assisted his father in the plumbing business before going to work at the VAP plant. At the time of his death he was the human resource manager.
Surviving are his daughter, Tiffany Tune; two sisters, Linda Pfleider and Ramona Shalloup, all of Alva; and one brother, Larry Case of Okla-homa City.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
Wayne S. Throgmorton, 92, of Amarillo, TX died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, in Amarillo.
Services will be 9 a.m. Friday at West View Christian Church with Jack Weems, pastor of First Christian Church of Dimmitt officiating. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Friday in Watonga I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Watonga, OK. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St., Amarillo, TX.
Mr. Throgmorton was born in Southard, OK. He moved to Amarillo in 1997 from Annandale, VA. He lived in Enid and Watonga before moving to Annandale. He worked for U.S. Gypsum for 38 years. He retired in 1979 as the Quality Control Supervisor. Mr. Throgmorton was a member of West View Christian Church.
He married Hattie Kohl in 1934.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1997. He also was preceded in death by an infant daughter and great-granddaughter.
Survivors include: two daughters, Ellen Throgmorton of Amarillo and Sue Schnell and her husband Keith of Lakeway; one son, Wayne Throgmorton and his wife Becky of Panhandle; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. They request memorial donations be to West View Christian Church Building Fund.
The funeral for Ruth M. Henley, 100, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Olson and Rev. David Martinez Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Mem-orial Park Cemetery with ar-rangements by Ander-son-Burris Funeral Home. A vi-sitation with family and friends will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at the funeral home.
She was born to Charles A. and Icie (Gratner) Nichols on May 14, 1907 in Wichita, KS and died Monday, Jan. 14, 2008, in Enid.
Ruth graduated from Enid High School in 1926. She later attended Miltonville Wesleyan Bible School in Kansas. She worked for the United States Navy for over 27 years as a LVN Nurse at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital in Oceanside, CA. In 1941, she briefly returned to Enid where she was ordained as a minister.
In March 1944, she married Jose Sanchez. He died in 1954. Ruth was a missionary with the Wesleyan Church to a Mexican Mission, first in Carlsbad, CA, Oceanside, CA and then Vista, CA. She also was a missionary to Mexico, where she interpreted Spanish for the carpenters building the churches. She also taught in Texas at a school for handicapped students and itinerant workers for two years.
She married John Harold Henley Dec. 18, 1984, in Mercedes, TX. He preceded her in death in 1994. They moved back to California and worked with missions in Ensenada and Baja, Mexico. She also worked in a daycare in Vista, CA. Ruth moved back to Enid in 1996.
She is survived by daughter Rachel Lyons of Milton, Del.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Olive Hobbs of Enid; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love.
The funeral service for Joe Maddox, 83, will be 10 a.m. today, Jan. 17, 2008, at Enid First Nazarene Church. Rev. Bruce Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Meno, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Joe was born Oct. 1, 1924, in Meno, OK to Archie and Glenn (Purvines) Maddox and died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
He was a graduate of Ringwood High School.
On June 2, 1946, he married Martha Humes in Enid, OK.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was the past commander, local and district, for the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of the American Legion and the Odd Fellows Lodge 31. He was an avid bowler and won a state tournament with his son, Joey, in the mid 1970s.
He is survived by his wife, Martha, of the home; daughters, Shirley Clark, Linda Mehlig and Carolyn Pickard and son Joey Maddox and family friend Mel Bloss; seven grandchildren, Maranda, Matthew, Kyle, Kristen, Katie, Joseph and Shelby; two great-grandchildren, Karsten and Kaden; and brother, Harley Maddox.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Barbara and Brenda; five brothers, Jean, Virgil, Kenneth, Gerald and Eldon; three sisters, Helen Rader, Maxine Maddox and Betty Stern.
Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, diabetes and heart division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.
The funeral for Luella Mae (Davis) Baker will be 2 p.m. today at Central Christian Church. Rev. John McLemore will officiate. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Luella was born to Albert H. and Ida Mae Guernsey Davis on July 3, 1923, in Pond Creek, OK and died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, at 5:20 p.m. at her home at Trinity Place Assisted Living in Enid.
After graduating from high school in Pond Creek as valedictorian, she attended and graduated from Enid Business College. Upon graduation, she worked as church secretary at Central Christian Church.
She married Ralph J. Baker April 14, 1946, in Enid, after he returned from World War II. He passed away May 14, 2006. She had been introduced to him by his sister, Mary Ruth (Baker) Cooper. After a career in farming, they retired and moved back to Enid. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage.
She was proud to have been a charter member of the Sooner Sunday school class at Central Christian Church where she served in several officer positions, including president. She was selected as Mother of the Year of the church in 2003. She enjoyed being a member of the Bethany Extension Club until health problems prohibited her from attending. What made her most proud were her children and grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Ralph, she was preceded in death by both of her parents, her sister, Dorothy Walters, and stepgranddaughter, Lisa VonWerder.
She is survived by her children, Danny Baker and his wife Suzi, Lindy Baker and his wife Connie, Connie Jo Collins and her husband Rick, all of Enid, and Steve Baker and his wife Kathi of Ponca City; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary Ruth Cooper and Vera Sue Bunch and her husband Frank, both of Enid.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Place Assisted Living Recreation Fund with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.
Levern Anthony Biggs was born May 2, 1933, northeast of Hitchcock, OK on the family farm to James and Albina Pospisial Biggs and passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at the age of 74.
He was a resident of the Hitchcock community his entire life. He graduated from Hitchcock High School in 1951. After graduation he joined the National Guard.
He married Betty Ann Oberst Dec. 9, 1953. He worked for various businesses throughout his life and farmed. Levern was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hitchcock, OK.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; his parents; one brother, Byron Biggs; and three grandchildren, Timothy and Wishu Kupka and Monty D. Brown.
He is survived by four sons, Dennis Anthony Biggs of Dover, Danny Lee Biggs of Mustang, Donald Raymond Biggs of Fairview, and John Edward Biggs and wife Mary of Hitchcock, OK; three daughters, Diane Marie Yost and husband Mike of Kingfisher, OK, Debbie Sue Kupka and husband Tim of Elk City, OK, and Beverly Kay Brown and husband Roger of Canton, OK; two brothers, Lester Biggs of Newalla, OK, and Leroy Biggs of Hitchcock, OK; two sisters, Leona Nitzel of Watonga, OK, and Bonnie Larison of Norman, OK; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Rosary services will be 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Watonga. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2008, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Watonga, OK with Father Denis Hanrahan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Cottonwood Cemetery, Hitch-cock, OK with Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hitchcock Fire Department with Wilkinson Mortuary acting as custodian.
The funeral for Ted Meier, 97, of Kingfisher, will be 10:30 a.m. today at Sanders Funeral Chapel, Kingfisher. The Rev. Jerry Sullaway will officiate. Burial will be in Kingfisher Cemetery with funeral rites by the American Legion.
He was born Sept. 12, 1910, in Kingfisher to Fred and Anne Edge Meier and died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, at Cimarron Nursing Center. He was raised in Reeding and farmed all his life. He served in the Army during World War II in Europe with the Oklahoma 45th Division. He was the oldest World War II veteran in Kingfisher County.

A memorial service for Richard Lee Schroeder, 69, of Fairview, will be 2 p.m. today in Saron Mennonite Cemetery, north of Fairview. The Rev. Ray Schoonmaker will officiate. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
He was born Feb. 20, 1938, and died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at his home.
Surviving are four daughters, Diana Combs of Longdale, Cindy Schroeder of Fairview, Tammy Haight of Phoenix, and Gloria Schroeder of Porterville, Calif.; one sister, Marilyn Marshall of Aiken, S.C.; his mother, Dianna Kusch Stachel of Porterville; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral for Floy Alice Leckie, 71, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Jerry Holt will officiate. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery.
She was born June 9, 1936, in Rustin, La., to Aubrey Lee and Etta Rogers and died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, at her home.
She was raised in Louisiana, then moved to Derby, Kan., where she graduated from Derby High School. She attended Kansas Newman College. In 1980, she moved to Enid, where she retired from the hospital at NORCE.
Surviving are one son, Hubert Leckie Jr. of Enid; two daughters, Joyce Leckie of Midwest City and Loretta Parker of Belle Plaine, Kan.; one brother, Ray; one sister, Mildred Jones of Shreveport, La.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
