Funeral services for Harold Max Crumpston, age 79, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Shelia Francis Combs officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cem-etery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
He was born September 24, 1928, in Enid, to Orin and Evelyn Beery Cumpston and passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007.
He lived in Enid, attended and graduated from Enid High School in 1946. He attended and graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1951 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He married Leila Walker August 27, 1950. Six weeks after he graduated from college, he was called into U.S. Army and commissioned as 1st Lieutenant at Fort Leavengood. He was assigned to the 65th Engineering Combat Battalion in Korea in May 1952. Max served a year as an engineer platoon combat leader, where he built supply roads, gun emplacements, and mine field clearings. He returned to the United States in 1953. He went to work for George E. Failing as a design engineer. In September 1960, he was hired by Serv-Air as the director of Civil Engineering at Vance Air Force Base. When Northrop assumed the contract in 1972, he became Manager of Operation assuming overall operation of the base contract for several years. Max received his law degree from OCU in the Spring of 1974. Northrop then wanted him to use his legal knowledge in negotiating contracts both here and abroad. He was transferred to corporate office in Lawton, in 1976. During his assignment with the corporate office he made frequent trips to Europe, Saudi Arabia, and Iran, where he helped establish a working relationship with several mid eastern companies. They engaged him to put together a proposal for the expansion of the Royal Saudi Navy. The proposal effort was successful and consortium of the Saudi Arabian Development Co. and Sheik Fahd Shobokshi was developed. He operated an 800 million dollar contact over five years at the principal ports in Saudi Arabia. Upon returning to the United States on a full time basis he became manager of Vance Air Force Base Environmental Branch and along with a very qualified staff built the finest environmental branch in the Air Force. He retired in January 2001.
He is survived by his children, Chuck Cumpston and his wife Gloria; Amy Cumpston, and Wally Cumpston and his wife Vicki, three grandchildren, Eddie, Kaleigh, and Maddi.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son, Max.

Jessie Myrean Louden-slager, age 89, departed this life December 13, 2007, in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid, OK.
She was born October 29, 1918, in Drum-mond, OK to Richard and Edith (Cronister) Campbell.
She married Lee Murray, the father of her children, who preceded her in death in 1947. In 1955, she married Jack Loudenslager of Enid. He passed away in 1981.
She had been employed at Quality Laundry and then Oxford Cleaners for many years, as well as being a full time mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She and Jack were members of the Moose Club and they enjoyed playing Bingo together with friends.
She is survived by her children, Walter (Bud) Murray and his wife June, and Marlene Chance of Nescatunga, OK, Gerald (Sonny) Murray and Jim Murray and his wife, Joyce of Enid, and Judy Gaskill and her husband, Jack of Mo.; stepdaughters, Ruth Maxey and Beth Sak, both of Enid; she had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Jerry Murray, May 6, 1974, whose widow, Jeannie Murray resides in Roanoke, Va; three brothers, Frank Campbell, Victor Campbell, Marion Campbell and a sister, Delilah Murray.
Myrean was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
A family visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. before the service.
A graveside service will be held, Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at 2 p.m. in Garden Chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Steve Meier will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Warren was born October 21, 1922, in Blackwell, OK to G.O. and Elsie (King) Baxter and died December 12, 2007, in Enid.
He grew up in Blackwell but finished high school in Portland, OR. He joined the Army in 1943. He met Arla Doris Foraker in Cleo Springs, OK. They were married on February 21, 1944, in Fairview, OK, a few days before leaving on active duty overseas. She preceded him in death, January 2007.
They settled in California after his tour of duty. There he worked with his family as a carpenter until 1960 and from there moved back to Oklahoma and settled in Enid. He worked for McCrearys Food Store in Enid for a few years. Warren then worked at Zaloudeks Marine in Enid for 28 years until he retired. He and Doris began working for the Corps of Engineers after Warren’s retirement. They continued working the lake campgrounds for nearly 16 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and was past president, and the VFW. He was a part of the Guys and Dolls quare dance team.
He is survived by his children, Edward Bruce Baxter, Lenna Dunlap and husband Gary, and Dana Knierihm and husband Charles; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Arla Doris; three brothers, Hugh, Roger and Wayne; and two sisters, Olive Dalton and Lorene Compton.

The funeral service for Della Ruth Barnes Crouse, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jacob Snodgrass of Ames Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Me-morial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Della was born the daughter of Samuel Wesley and Ila M. Murphy Barnes in Corvallis, Oregon on April 4, 1914.
She began school in Hillsdale, Oklahoma, before moving to Enid and then to Phoenix, Arizona, for four years, attending school, and then returning to Enid.
Della married Clarence Charles Menz in 1931, who passed away 27 years later in 1958. She married Herbert L. Crouse from Hillsdale, Oklahoma. Although the couple resided in Enid, they spent many winters as snowbirds in Arizona or traveling. Herbert Crouse passed away in 1998.
Della Crouse is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Turner and by her son, Charles Menz; by grandchildren, Virginia Thomas, Eugene and Brian Turner; by great-grandchildren, Abby Crews and Andrew Turner and Jamie and Matt Thomas, and by four great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral for Albert Leon Meat, 32, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Canton, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church, Canton. The Rev. Paul Bear Track will officiate. Burial will be in In-dian Men-nonite Cemetery, Canton. Arrangements are by Nichols Funeral Home, Fairview. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and Monday at Canton Indian Community Center. Wake services will be at 7 p.m. Monday.
He was born Jan. 3, 1975, in Clinton to Chris Oliver Jr. and Eva Kathleen Meat and died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, in Albuquerque.
He attended high school in Canton and El Reno and later attended Redlands Commu-nity College in El Reno.
Surviving are four sisters, Paula Meat of Canton, Charity Meat of Elk City, Shane Meat of Tulsa and Katherine Groud of Ethete, Wyo.; and two brothers, Michael Osage of El Reno and Gary Meat of Cameron, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

After retiring he worked for the Corps of Engineers, working the lake camp grounds for nearly 16 years. He was a member of Moose Lodge and was past president of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are his children, Edward Bruce Baxter, Lenna Dunlap and Dana Knierihm; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Arla, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

The funeral for Lois Jean Koehn, 64, of Enid, will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at New Hopedale Mennonite Church, Meno. James Suderman and Dan O’Daniel, pastors, will officiate. Burial will be in New Hopedale Mennonite Cem-etery, Meno. Arrange-ments are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc. of Helena. Visitation will be 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Mon-day and 9 a.m. until noon with the family Tuesday at the funeral home.
She was born Oct. 31, 1943, in Enid to Arthur and Claudine Schultz Unruh and died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, in St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid.
She grew up in Ringwood and graduated from Ringwood High School. She married Darrel Koehn April 11, 1982, in Jet. They lived in Meno until 2004, then moved to Enid. She worked as a secretary at Economy Hearing Aid and Wolfe Drilling Company and as a phlebotomist at Oklahoma Blood Institute. She volunteered at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
Surviving are her husband Darrel, of Enid; four children, Todd Palmer of Oklahoma City, Brenda Schwarzlose of Plano, Texas, Paula Collins of Lamont and Darren Koehn of Meno; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one sister.

The graveside services for Orpha Faye Johnson, 82 year-old former Enid resident will be Monday, December 17, 2007, at 2 p.m. in the family plot in Concord Cemetery in Meno, OK. The Rev. Jim Jones will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
Faye was born August 7, 1925, in Enid, the youngest child of Judge Arthur A. and Orpha Stull and passed away of a heart atttack on December 6, 2007, in Plano, Texas.
Faye loved caring for flowers, singing in choral groups, loving her dog, and keeping in touch with her family. She gave us many times her gift of the song, “You Are My Sunshine,” and we treasure that gift.
She is survived by three children, Suzanna Davenport, Irving, TX, Pamela Roberts, Turlock, CA, and David Johnson, Plano, TX; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Lahoma Parker, Oxnard, CA, and Berth Horn, Camarillo, CA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bud Stull and Matthew Stull; and one sister, Charlotte Osmundson and her favorite dog, Angel.
