Graveside services for Melba Blanche Bethany, 85, of Velma, will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 11 am, at Little Cemetery, located north of Seminole, with Minister Ron Stough of Eastside Church of Christ officiat ing.
Blanche passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009, at Wilkins Nursing Home in Duncan.
Blanche was born May 22, 1923, near Sylvian, to Charlie Allen and Minnie Fourt Bray.
She married Charles Harmon Bethany on March 25, 1940. Blanche and Harmon moved from Seminole to Eunice, NM in 1946 where she lived for over fifty years before returning to Oklahoma.
While in Eunice she drove a bus on the Oil Center route for the Eunice school system for over 25 years before her retirement.
While driving her route she touched many lives throughout her tenure.
Blanche was a member of Eastside Church of Christ in Duncan.
She is survived by two sons; Glen Bethany and his wife Linda, of Huntsville, Ark., and Darrel Bethany of Roswell, NM., five grandchildren; Robert Bethany of Catoosa, and Brett Bethany of Huntsville Ark., Shawn Bethany, Jason Bethany and Christi Barnes of Roswell, NM., nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; four sisters; Ruby Heald of Crane, Texas., Jessie Parsons of Davis, Betty Van Matre of Hobbs, NM., and Darlene Underwood of Halls, Tenn., one brother; Franklin Bray of Crane, Texas.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters; one brother and her daughter- in-law Judy Bethany.
Services are under the direction of Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home & Crematory, of Roswell, NM.
Brittanie Bevan
Brittanie Rose Bevan, age 15, passed away at the family’s home in Seminole on Thursday, May 21, 2009. She was born on October 20, 1993 to John and Balinda Bevan.
Brittanie attended New Lima High School where she just completed 9th grade and had passed to 10th. She had many friends whom she loved dearly, and she loved playing with her cousins and family. She especially loved Uncle Kenny’s and Aunt Julie’s place, and went there as often as possible. Brittanie had a special spot in her heart for her cousin, Sarada; they weren’t just cousins, they were sisters.
Her aunts, Nana, Char Char, Charmaine, Ema, Mary and everyone else thought the world of her, also her grandparents and great uncle Paskel.
She leaves to cherish her memory her parents, John and Balinda Bevan, of the home; her brother, Christopher Gene Bevan, of the home, and a host of family and friends.
Brittanie was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nellie Rose Spencer; grandfather, Larry Wayne Bevan; brother, Justin Wayne Bevan; and great aunt, Ina Mae Spencer.
Wake services are scheduled for 6:30 – 8 p.m., Monday, May 25, 2009 at the Friends Freewill Baptist Church located 8 miles east of Little on highway 99A. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Tuesday May 26, 2009 at the same location. Interment will follow at the family cemetery adjacent to the church. Victor Underwood will officiate the service.
Casket bearers will be: Kenneth Bevan, David Bevan, Chris Bevan, Ryan Cloud, Trent Lena and Aaron Scott.

Deborah Billie
Deborah Denise Billie, 51 year-old, lifelong Seminole resident died Thursday, October 22, 2009 in Seminole.
She was born September 18, 1958 in Claremore to parents Thomas Lee Billie and Edna (Johnson) Billie.
Billie graduated from Strother High School in 1978. She is also a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.
She is survived by her father, Thomas Lee Billie, Sr. of the home; one son, James Billie of the home; six brothers, Thomas Billie, Jr. of Shawnee, Lester L. Billie, Sr. of Seminole, Dannye E. Billie of Edmond, Dennis A. Billie of Seminole, Keith W. Billie, Sr. of Konawa, and Jimmy L. Wise of Derby, Kan.; six sisters, M. Frances Pierce of Seminole, Lisa Billie of Seminole, Andrea A. Davis of Seminole, Becky L. Pemberton of Konawa, Audrey M. Davis of Seminole, and Wanda L. Coody of Konawa; two grandchildren; her companion of 11 years Marty Kalinich; she is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends.
Billie is preceded in death by her mother, Edna Mae Davis and by one sister, Mary Louise Billie.
A wake service will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 26, 2009 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bill Hobia and Rev. Houston Tiger will officiate the service.
Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be: Paul Faxson, Tony Perry, Rick Pemberton, R.D. Coody, Lester Billie Jr. and Stuart Pierce.

Zaidyn Black
Zaidyn Khan Black died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, in Oklahoma City.
He was born Nov. 6, 2009, in Oklahoma City, to Manlyo Black and Faith White, of Norman.
He is survived by his parents; and sisters, Scylin White and Lyren White, both of Norman.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with a burial to follow at Little Cemetery.

Sadie Mae Blackshire
Sadie Mae Blackshire, age 88, of Oklahoma City, died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, at Grace Living Center, in Oklahoma City.
She was born Dec. 13, 1920, in Weleetka, to Clemmie Sanders and Mary (Paul) Mayo.
She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, in Wetumka. While at New Hipe she was a member of Sunday School and the Ladies Missionary Society. She was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter; one son; six sisters; and seven brothers.
She is survived by her sons, Jack, of Michigan, Donnie, of Oklahoma City, Ronnie, of Holdenville, Andrew, of Dallas, Texas, Clemmie, of Mazie, Bobby, of Tulsa, Rafe, of Wetumka, R.G., of Oklahoma City, and Bennie, of Hemet, Calif.; daughters, Mary Black and Armerjean Randle, of Oklahoma City, and Oletha Gordaon, of Wewoka; brothers, Herman and Cecil Taylor, of Kansas; 41 grandchildren; 68 great grandchildren; and 29 great-great grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church, in Oklahoma City. Rev. Orlando Black will officiate the service and burial will follow at Norfork Cemetery, in Clearview.

Lillie Bottom
Lillie Marie (Reinschmeidt) Bottom, age 86 and longtime resident of Asher, died Thursday, August 6, 2009, at Sunset Estates in Tecumseh.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa.
Burial will follow at Vista Cemetery, west of Konawa.
Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate. Pallbearers are Mark Wartchow, Chad Wartchow, Eddie W. Bottom, Jr., Dan Fleming, Ron Phay, and Jerry Witske. Honorary pallbearers are Carl J. Sisco, Gary Fry, James Hargrove, and Ham Brown.
Viewing will be Saturday and Monday, 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m., and Sunday 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Bottom was born on February 27, 1923, to Jacob Reinschmeidt and Myrtle Marie (Weter) Reinschmeidt in Bessie.
She married Edd Bottom on February 20, 1943 in Cordell.
She was a homemaker who loved to cook, sew, work in the garden, and take care of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Edd Bottom of the home; one son, Eddie Bottom of Macomb; three daughters, Darla Miles of Asher, Connie Wartchow and Roff, and Phyllis Sisco and of Asher; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Bottom was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Myrtle Reinschmeidt; five brothers, one sister, and one daughter, Charlotte Ann Bottom.
Harrol Boyles
Harrol Leroy Boyles, age 78, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at his home in Asher.
He was born on April 12, 1931, to Effie Mae (Roberts) and Hughey "Jocko" Boyles in Roff, Oklahoma. He married Betty (Holt) on Oct. 28, 1957, in McAlester. He ran Harrol’s Club, in Ada, for a number of years.
He is survived by his brother, Pete Boyles, of Ada.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Boyles; and his parents.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, at First Baptist Church, of Asher, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, in Konawa. Burial will follow at Wanette Cemetery. Dwayne Johnson will officiate.
Pallbearers are Chase Everett, Derral Carnes, Steve Holt, Brad Holt, Will Hunt and Shane Coker.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home, in Konawa.
Annette Brannon
Annette Brannon, 52 year-old, longtime Seminole County resident died Friday, Oct. 16, 2009 at Midwest City Regional Hospital. She was born March 9, 1957, in Seminole, to Frank Brannon and Savannah (Talton) Brannon.
She attended Faith 7 School in Shawnee and was a member of Galilee Baptist Church, in Shawnee.
Survivors include her brother, Gerald Brannon; sisters, Birdie Littleton, of San Diego, Calif. and Ethel Thomas, of Midwest City.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Brown, Billy Brannon, Frank Brannon Jr., and Cleo Brannon; and sisters, Deloise Brannon and Georgia Brannon.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Interment will follow at Earlsboro Cemetery in Earlsboro, Oklahoma.

Darnell Brannon
Former Seminole resident Darnell A. Brannon, age 43, died June 26, 2009, in Shawnee.
He was born Feb. 22, 1966 in Oklahoma City, to Ethel (Brannon) Thomas and Devon Winrow.
He worked at T.D.K. in Shawnee for several years.
He is survived by his mother, of Midwest City; daughter, Loren Brannon, of Shawnee; and brother, Alfred Brannon, of Shawnee.
He is preceded in death by his father and son, Tray Brannon
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2009 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Earlsboro Cemetery, in Earlsboro.

Mox Lawrence Brittingham, infant son of Brandi Hopper and Greg Brittingham, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009, in Ada.
He is survived by is parents; brother, Casey Wildcat, Jr.; sister, Samantha Hopper; grandparents, Joe and Julie Hopper, of Seminole, and Tommy and Debbie Brittingham, of Stroud; uncles, Corey Brittingham, of Stroud, Brent Hopper, of Seminole, and Dion Wildcat, of Seminole; aunt, Minnie Hopper, of Seminole; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
