Qualla J. Addington, age 76 of Louisville, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014.
She was past president of the Suburban Women’s Club in Lexington and a member of Middletown Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Kate Higdon; her first husband Loren Cotton, Jr.; her brother, George Higdon; and her sister Pat Padgett.
Qualla is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Bob; sons, Brent Cotton (Luneita) and Mike Cotton (Valerie); grandchildren, Blake, Troy and Kyle Cotton; sister-in-law Jennie Higdon; brother-in-law Charles Padgett; also several nieces, nephews and host of relatives and friends.
Funeral ceremony was 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Middletown Christian Church, 500 N. Watterson Trail.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, Okla. at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014.
Visitation will be at Swearingen Funeral Home, Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Middletown Christian Church.

Lillian Allen
Lillian C. (Hale) Allen, 87, longtime Maud, Okla. resident died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 in Shawnee, Okla.
She was born May 22, 1926 in Ada, Okla. to Fred B. Hale and Sally (Barrett) Hale.
She attended schools at Friona, Texas, Asher, Cook and Byars.
She married Shan Charnel Allen on March 13, 1947.
She was a cook for Maud Public Schools.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Kay Bussey Merritt of Shawnee and Kathy Jo Pinion of Maud; three sisters, ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Sally Hale; her husband, Shan Allen; one infant son, Charnel Ray Allen; one daughter, Esther Owens; two brothers and one sister.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014 at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud. Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud.

Vicki Allen
Vicki Allen, 57, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014.
She was a long time resident of Wewoka, Okla.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived by children, Angela Silverwood from Minnesota, Louis Ballard III from Idabell, Okla., Jonathan Allen of Seminole and Nicole Allen of Seminole; one sister, Beverly Naneto from Jones, Okla.; son-in-law, Aaron Tiger; and four grandchildren, Makayla and Kyron Ballard, Aleayana Johnson and Madelynn Tiger.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 22, 2014 with burial in Jones, Okla.
Jacob Almon
Jacob Harold Almon was freed from the struggles of this life and began his eternal walk in heaven with Jesus on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at the Veteran's Center in Lawton.
A celebration of Harold's life and homegoing will be held at a graveside service at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at the Marlow Cemetery with Rev. Cliff Hawkins officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Family visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
Harold was born Tuesday, June 1, 1926, on the family farm east of Seminole, to John Henry and Mary Elizabeth (Croy) Almon.
He graduated from Mountain View High School and served his country in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955.
On Aug. 30, 1952, Harold married Bernice Oleta West in Seminole.
In 1960, Harold moved his family to Marlow, and began classes at the Oklahoma Missionary Baptist Institute.
Harold earned his bachelor's, masters' and doctorate degrees in theology at the college. He also earned a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and a masters' degree in education from the University of Oklahoma.
Harold served as pastor and music minister of several churches throughout Oklahoma and Arkansas.
He was an instructor at the seminary in Marlow for many years and found great joy in encouraging and mentoring young ministers who attended the college.
At the time of his retirement, Harold was serving as Dean of the school.
Along with Bernice's beautiful piano accompaniment, Harold loved to share his musical talent and enjoyment of music. He had the opportunity to sing with many quartets during his ministry and was especially proud of the albums recorded by the OMBI quartet.
All who knew Harold will remember his as a genuine and compassionate man who loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He dedicated his life to serving the Lord and those around him.
He will be greatly missed.
Those left on this earth to cherish his memory include, son, Billy Almon and his wife Ann of Duncan; one daughter, Marcella Williams of Marlow; four grandchildren, Miranda Lenocker and her husband Jeff of Edmond, Bridgette Lancaster and her husband Lee of Yukon, Chris Almon of Duncan and Drew Williams and his wife Christy of Stillwater; four great granddaughters, Cheyenne Williams, Mary Lancaster, Lauren Lenocker, Allison Lancaster; sister-in-law, Joyce Almon of Beebe, Ark.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Waiting to welcome him to heaven were Bernice, his beloved wife of fifty-two years; his parents; three brothers, Harry, Jay and Odell Almon; sister, Mary Francis Davis; and a host of friends and other relatives.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, Chris Almon, Jeff Lenocker, Lee Lancaster, Drew Williams.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Unity Baptist Church, 1725 Chisholm, Duncan, OK.
Freeman "Pete" Amos
Freeman Ray "Pete" Amos, 68, life long Seminole resident, died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at his home in Seminole, Okla.
Pete was born Feb.1, 1946 in Seminole, Okla to Jaunell Ruth (Crawford) and Charles Rawlin Amos.
Pete grew up in the Seminole area and attended Varnum Schools, he graduated in 1964.
In his younger years he attended the Church of Christ at Little, Okla.
Pete worked as an electrician for Canadian Valley Electric Corp., Mullinex Electric and B & L Electric before starting his own business in 1989, "Pete’s Electric".
He loved John Wayne and his movies, he enjoyed watching old western shows, but his greatest love was his grandchildren whom he cherished very much.
Pete married Judy Gooding on April 18, 1969 in Shawnee, Okla.
Pete leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Judy Amos of 45 years; his sons, Ryan Amos, Ricky Amos and Russell Amos of Seminole, Okla.; two daughters-in-law, Danael and Nekiah Amos; his grandchildren, Shelby, Wyatt, Paige, Scarlett, Bode, Daniel and Maggie; his mother, Jaunell Moses; three sisters, Carolyn and her husband Charley Sullivan, Charlene and her husband Jerry Robertson, and Marian Henry, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Pete was preceded in death by his father, C.R. Amos; grandparents, Maude and Harlan Amos and Pearl and Earnest Crawford.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Ryan Amos, Ricky Amos, Russell Amos, Bob Herron, Houston Yeager and Ronnie Richardson.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
John "Doug" Arnold
John Douglas "Doug" Arnold, 84, of Macomb, Okla. went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in Kissimmee, Fla.
He was born on March 27, 1929 to Olen Douglas and Jessie (Jackson) Arnold in Wanette, Okla.
Doug was raised in the Sacred Heart, Tecumseh and Earlsboro areas. He attended Wewoka High School and lived most of his life in the Wewoka area until moving to Oklahoma City and then later to Macomb where he made his home for the last 20 plus years.
He married Ione Scott on March 27, 1948 in Wewoka, Okla.
Doug was a Church of Christ Minister for 50 years preaching at churches in Sasakwa, Cromwell and other smaller congregations. He was the minister at Wanette Church of Christ for 18 years before retiring. Doug worked as a police officer in Wewoka for several years, before becoming the undersheriff for Seminole County and later serving as Chief of the State Capitol Police.
He was a member of the Highland Church of Christ in Tecumseh. Doug was a very devout man of his faith and loved serving the Lord. He enjoyed visiting and spending time with friends and family and working on his farm. Doug was very active in the Lions Club and was awarded the Melvin Jones Award and the Distinguished Service Award. He was a good provider, husband, father and grandfather and will be sorely missed.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Craig Arnold; and granddaughter, Pamela Arnold.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 65 years, Ione Arnold, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Olen and Audrey Arnold, of Seminole; 2 grandsons, Brent Arnold and Mike Stidham; 3 granddaughters, Monica Palmer, Krista Clark and Michelle Stidham; 9 great-grandchildren, Thomas, Laura, Briar, Marley, Ashton, Angela, Kaleb, Allison, Brianna and Zoey; sister, Pat Ray, of Oklahoma City; aunt, Ruby Mae Jones of Shawnee; niece, Cindy Hendrick; and many extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2014 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 24, 2014 at Highland Church of Christ in Tecumseh with Erick Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
David Azlin
Dr. David Allen Azlin, 59, passed away peacefully Monday, with his two pets that he dearly loved, Abby & Molly by his side.
The son of William Junior & Gussie Marie Azlin, David was born July 25, 1955 in Holdenville, Okla.
David grew up in Wewoka, Okla. and later attended Moore High School where he graduated in 1973.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from OU in 1978 and furthered his education with a Doctorate of Pharmacy from OU.
He dedicated his life to serving & helping others.
For 30 years, he worked as the Director of Pharmacy at Edmond Memorial Hospital.
For the last 2 years, David worked for United Health Care, specifically dedicating the last 3 months of his life to assisting in clinical research for the cure of Myelofibrosis at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he inspired many people with his beautiful smile and sweet spirit.
An avid OU football fan, David was a longtime member of Crossroads Church and loved the Lord with all of his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves behind his brother, Geary Don Azlin & wife Kay of OKC; sisters: Jane Weston & husband, Ron of OKC and Deborah Boswell & husband, Jerry of Nassau Bay, Tex; Nephew, Dewayne Weston & wife, Tara; Nieces: Lisa & Amy Azlin and Duana Loechel & husband, Jeff; grandnephew, Graham Weston, grandnieces: Lindsey & Taylor Loechel; and many other family & friends.
Viewing will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday & Friday.
Services to celebrate his life are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 at Crossroads Church, SW 89th ST & S. Shields Blvd with burial following at 2:00 p.m. at Little Cemetery, near Seminole, Okla.
Services are under the direction of Vondel Smith & Son Mortuary.
