Lane Isaac Azlin went to live with his "Big Daddy" on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014.
Tommy and Nikki (Norman) Azlin brought Lane home to Wewoka, Okla. on July 30, 2004 where he grew up with his brother Logan, whom he referred to as Bub and his sister Laci who was simply known as Sis.
Lane loved to be active and enjoyed just about anything happening in the great outdoors.
He was a hunter, a fisherman, a swimmer, a four-wheeling pro, a horse-rider, a bike-rider, a trickster on the trampoline, a sledding pro, and an amazing showman on the inter-tube flying behind the boat.
He loved to pop fireworks and camp out at the lake.
He was a gifted athlete pulling his teams to victory in basketball, football, baseball, and soccer. The kid was fearless.
The greatest gift that God gave Lane was his ability to make friends and make everyone feel at home. He had the biggest smile and entertained people with only his personality.
Popcorn was his favorite food and he was sure his one mission in life was to control the bird population by shooting skeet.
Keeping Lane’s memory alive is his father, mother, brother, and sister of the home; Uncle Bill and Aunt Katigan Cochran of Edmond, Uncle Patrick and Aunt Carlie Hullum of Oklahoma City, Uncle Tony and Aunt Deanna Azlin of Wewoka, Uncle Jimmy Don Azlin of Wewoka, Uncle Shane and Aunt Lynn Azlin of Wewoka, and Uncle Grant and Aunt Nancy Smith of Wewoka.
Missing their fearless cousin are Karis Cochran of Edmond, Britta Azlin of Edmond, Lesley Shed of Holdenville, Autumn and Weston Shed of Holdenville, Jarrod and Dayna Wood of Wewoka, Emma, Kade, and Reese Wood of Wewoka, Justin and Shaina Moon of Wewoka, Dex Azlin, Paige Azlin, Dakota Smith, Brooklyn Smith, and Taryn Sipes all of Wewoka.
Missing their baby grandson will be maternal grandparents Al and Kathy Hullum of Tecumseh, Okla. and paternal grandparents Jim and Ellen Azlin of Wewoka, Okla.
Missing his great-grandson will be Lane’s maternal great grandparent Don Neal of Tulsa, Okla.
Welcoming Lane to Heaven is Lane’s maternal grandfather Jimmy Norman, maternal great-grandmothers Mary Ann (Katigan) Neal and Joyce Grooms, maternal great-grandfathers OB Grooms and J.B. Norman and paternal great grandparents Luther and Lena Azlin and Willie and Ruth Horn.
Supporting their brother, friend, and cousin one last time will be pallbearers Dakota Smith, Dex Azlin, Colton Stafford, Dae Dae Shepherd, Triston Patterson, and Logan Azlin.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Cole Stafford, Carli Stafford, Brody Moody, Noah Gentry, Tori Grace Ford, Case Phillips, Tobe Phillips, Emma Wood, Kade, Wood, Gavin Aldridge, Blayne Norman, Grayson Ervin, Isaac Warrior, Spencer Childers, Eyan Norman, the Wewoka fourth grade football and basketball team, the Wewoka third grade football team, and the Cobra Jets baseball team.
Please join our family for a Candlelight Ceremony on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at 6 p.m. at the Wewoka High School Football Field.
Lane’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Wewoka High School Auditorium.
Private viewing on Wednesday is for family only.
All family is invited to a meal at the New Life Church Gym after gravesite services.
Beulah Baize
Beulah Irene Baize, 86, longtime Maud resident died, Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 in Maud, Okla.
Beulah was born July 3, 1928 in Indiana to Clara Ozelia (Sundemyer) and James Carlese Watson.
Beulah came to Maud, Okla. from Arizona in 1972.
She had been a cook and waitress in several restaurants during her adult life.
She is survived by three sons; Everett Baize of Depew, Okla. James Baize of Konawa, Okla. and Michael Baize of Maud, Okla.; three daughters, Lora Chester of Maud, Okla., Brenda Dobbs and Wilma Tyson both of Tecumseh, Okla.; one sister Eva Elder of Ind. and twenty grandchildren, fifty-two great grandchildren, and twenty-three great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Baize, one sister and four brothers.
Private family services will be held at a later date.

Shirley Baker
Shirley Joanne (Burton) Baker, Seminole county resident, passed away Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014 at Shawnee, Okla. at the age of 79.
Shirley was born Feb. 1, 1935 in Gallup, N.M. to parents, Del Burton and Jenny Mae (Baca) Burton.
Shirley was raised by John and Flora Depaldos in Denver, Color.
She married Donald Philip Baker on May 16, 1974 in Reno, Nev.
Shirley was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Fellowship Church.
She loved being with family, friends, spending time at the Heritage House and watching wrestling on television.
Shirley is survived by three sons, Billy Williams of Shawnee, Okla., David Baker of Wells, Tex., Ricky Baker of Shawnee, Okla.; one daughter, Vicky Blakley of Seminole, Okla. and 11 grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Baker on Sept. 29, 1992.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Jenna Ballard
Jenna Sky Ballard died March 3, 2014 in Holdenville, Okla.
She was born on March 29, 2013 in Poteau, Okla. to James and Ashley (Lockaby) Ballard.
She is preceded in death by great-grandfathers, Bill Staley and Buck Lockaby.
She is survived by her parents, James J.T. and Ashley Ballard of the home; sisters, Nellie Marie Ballard and Lyna Falon Jones; brother, Ryan Lewis Ballard; grandparents, Chris and Janet Davis of Wewoka, James and Stephanie Ballard of McAlester, Leo and Betty Lewallen of Heavner, Rebecca Marrone and Ronnie Phillips of Chester, Ark., Michael Lockaby of Ripley, Miss., Dean Marrone of Fort Smith, Ark., Heather and Terry Rumsey of Myrtle, Miss.; great-grandparents, Shirley Valdivia of Salisaw, Sarah Byrd of Canadian, and Donna and Robert Hughes of Chester, Ark., Leonard and Donna Bowen of New Albany, Miss.
A funeral service has been scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Hudson Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville, Okla. Rev. Jay Badry will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Jason Ballard, Tryson Thain, Nicholas Marrone, and Quinten Marrone.
Interment will follow at the Canadian Masonic Cemetery in Canadian, Okla.
Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville.
Barbara Barlow
Barbara Ann (Siler) Barlow, 81 year old, lifelong Seminole resident passed from this life on Nov. 12, 2014 at Seminole Estates Care Center in Seminole.
She was born Dec. 5, 1932 in Seminole to parents, Cecil Roy Siler and Ethel Mae (Turner) Siler.
Barbara graduated from Wolf, Oklahoma High School as the Valedictorian in 1950.
She is also a long time member of the Wolf Free Will Baptist Church.
Barbara had worked for many years as a caregiver.
She had helped at both Seminole and Wewoka Public Schools.
She was also a homemaker.
On Oct. 31, 1950 she married J.B. Barlow in Cromwell, Okla.
Sadly he preceded her in death in 1975.
She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Doyle Barlow and Gary Barlow both of Seminole, Okla.; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Lois Siler of Wolf, Okla.; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Ronnie Isaacs of Konawa, Okla.; three grandchildren, Kyle, Johnnie and Nicole.
Barbara is also survived by great-grandchildren and a host of other family and dear friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, by two brothers, Weldon Siler and Larry Siler.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 14, 2014 at the Wolf Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Wood officiating the service.
Interment will follow at the Wolf Cemetery.
The family will gather for a lunch at Noon on Friday at the Wolf Free Will Baptist Church.
Casket Bearers will be: Michael Isaacs, Kenneth Self, Jared Self, Mickey Knight, Gregg Cook and Eric Sinor.
Honorary Bearers will be: Martin Siler, Gage Underwood and Eddie Rosson.
Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Okla.
Edward Barnes
Edward Leon Barnes passed away on June 8, 2014 in Sylvania, Ohio.
Leon was born on Dec. 6, 1923 to Edward Mack Barnes and Eva (Smith) Barnes.
He had four brothers and sisters, Carl, Hazel, Monnie and Darrell.
He attended school at Pecan Grove and New Lima Schools.
Leon married Alma Plunkett and the couple had three children, Jerry, Richard and Linda.
Leon served his country honorably in the United States Army Air Corps. He served in World War II in Europe, 8th Air Force Top Gunner on a B-17 Bomber.
Leon worked for 58 years as a Journeyman Pipefitter in various states.
He retired from the Pipefitters Union Local #375 in Fairbanks, Alaska.
After retirement, Leon and Alma returned home to Wewoka, Okla.
They enjoyed traveling in their motor home all over the country. They often returned from their adventures full of exciting stories and wonderful new friendships made along the way.
Leon loved to tinker and repair anything that might be broken or could be made to use better. He was resourceful when it came to repairs.
Leon loved watching sporting events on television.
He and siblings would enjoy hours of phone conversations before, during and after games to discuss the events and probable outcomes.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Carl Barnes, Monnie Reich, and Darrell Barnes; and nephew, Ronald Reich.
Leon is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Alma of Sylvania, Ohio; children, Jerry Barnes and his wife Sylvia of Lexington, Nebr.; Richard Barnes and wife Kathy of Sylvania, Ohio; and Linda (Barnes) Arnold and husband Bob of Davidsonville, Md.; grandchildren, John Barnes, Eric Barnes, Brittany Wierzbinski, Meagan Leathers, Amanda Porter and Drew Porter; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel Morphis of Wewoka; sister-in-law, Imogine Barnes of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Imogene Barnes
Imogene Seward Barnes, 85, of Cheyenne, Wyo., died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in Cheyenne.
She was born March 18, 1929 in Kansas City, Mo.
She married Carl Carlos Barnes in Van Buren, Ark.
They made their home in various locations including Cheyenne and Wewoka, Okla.
She was a homemaker.
Imogene was most proud of obtaining her teaching degree from the University of Wyoming.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Barnes; and mother, Pearl Seward.
She is survived by her daughter, Susann C. Anderson of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and sister-in-law, Hazel (Barnes) Morphis of Wewoka.
