Harley F. "Buddy" Conatser, 77 year old Seminole resident, passed from this life Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at his home in Seminole.
He was born Jan. 19, 1937 in DE Queen, Ark. to parents Oriel Fester Conatser and Bertha Mae (Halter) Conatser.
Harley married Hazel Mae (Panick) Conatser on Aug. 19, 1960 in Spearman, Tex.
Harley was of the Baptist faith.
He had worked for Joe Mills Well Service in Seminole until his retirement in 1990.
Harley leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 54 years, Hazel Conatser of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Harley G. Conatser and his wife Teresa of Seminole, Okla., Gary Conatser of Seminole, Okla., Roger and his wife Lisa of Yukon, Okla.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry Smith and her husband John of Ponca City, Okla., Karla Leonidou and her husband Costa of Wheatland, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a host of other dear family and friends.
Harley is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Nelda Johnston; one brother, David Conatser and by one daughter-in-law Tina Conatser.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, June 13, 2014 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Okla. with Pastors Jim and Nita Moreland officiating the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
The family wishes to extend a heart felt Thank You to "Visiting Angels" and to "Heavenly Hospice" for the outstanding care given to Harley.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Barney Conley
Barney Meigs Conley, 67 of Calvin, Okla. passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014, in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Barney was born on Feb. 20, 1947 in Lamar, Okla. to J. B. and Leona (Arthur) Conley.
Barney graduated from Holdenville Public Schools and attended Rose State College.
He married Billy Vandeveer on Sept. 2, 1967.
He worked until his retirement at Tinker Air Force Base as a supervisor.
The family lived for many years in Oklahoma City and Seminole, Okla.
Being a member of the Professional Pidler's Club of Calvin was the daily event he looked forward to every morning. He loved to visit and tell jokes. Making others smile and laugh, and bringing them a little joy was important to Barney.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Euleta Scarberry; and brother Gary Conley.
Survivors include his wife, Billye of the home; sons Bryan Conley and wife Alisha of Little, Chris Conley of Edmond; grandsons Bryce Conley, Brendan Conley, and Caylin ; brothers Shannie Conley and Everett "Butch" Conley as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
A service of remembrance will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Calvin Schools Auditorium in Calvin, Oklahoma. Pastor James Anderson will officiate.
Bearers will be his sons, Bryan Conley and Chris Conley.
Honorary bearers will be Butch Conley, Shannie Conley, Don McCoy, Clyde Vandeveer, L. J. Scarberry, Gail Wilbanks and Johnny Treat.
Interment will follow at the Calvin Cemetery, Calvin, Okla.
Services are under the direction of Hudson Phillips Funeral Home.
Janice Conley
Janice Sue Conley died in Tulsa on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at the age of 68.
She was born March 2, 1945 in Wewoka to Edward Wesley Johnson and Vondell Muerl (Hartzog) Barnes.
She married Billy Conley on March 23, 1974, in Wewoka.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Johnson and Vondell Barnes.
She is survived by her husband, Billy, of the home; five children, Linda Jack Campbell of Holdenville, Maryetta Calvert of Fletcher, Alice Leach of Holdenville, Connie Chesser of Wewoka, and Marcy Bacon of Holdenville; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one brother, Eddie Johnson of El Dorado, Ark.; and four sisters, Mary Cosby of Midland Tex., Marty Lunn and Debbie Johnson, both of Wewoka, and Richetta Johnson of Seminole.
Graveside services will be held in the Lamar Cemetery on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, 11 a.m. Rev. Tony Chesser and Rev. Larry Chesser will officiate.
Pallbearers are Bubba Dooley, Joshua Dooley, A. J. Jackson, Adam Chesser, Mathew Chesser, and Christian Harrison.

Paul Conley
Paul Ralph Conley, 65, longtime former Hughes County resident, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 at the Sulphur Veterans Center in Sulphur, Okla.
Paul was born July 21, 1949 in Crossville, Tenn. to Mamie (Copeland) and William Conley.
Paul served his country in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant for two tours in Vietnam.
Paul married Sheila Ann Little on Nov. 4, 1972 in Jamestown, Tenn. in Fentress County.
She preceded him in death on Feb. 9, 2007.
Paul is survived by his son, Jerry Conley of Lexington, Okla., and a daughter and son-in-law Connie and Steve Chesser of Wewoka, Okla.; three sisters Sue Baker of Dayton, Ohio, Patty Keys of West Carrollton, Ohio and Mildred Sparks of Jamestown, Tenn., four grandchildren Adam Chesser, Mathew Chesser, J.D. Conley and Destiny Conley, Seven Great Grandchildren; Addyson Chesser, Noah Chesser, Mason Rogers, Abbigail Chesser, Natalie Conley, Trinity Conley and Titus Conley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sheila, sisters; Leva Copeland, Weltha Faye Smith, Reba Scarlett and Treva N. Cochran.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at the Little Cemetery Chapel at Little Cemetery.
Lawrence Conway
Lawrence Conway, 54 year old, Oklahoma City resident and former Seminole resident passed from this life on Nov. 24, 2014 at his home in Oklahoma City.
Crystal Cooper
Crystal Rose Cooper, 38, Prague, Okla. resident, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Crystal was born Nov. 14, 1975 in Shawnee, Okla. to Sherri (Dunn) Carpenter and Billy Earl Carpenter.
Crystal grew up in the Seminole, Shawnee, and Prague area.
She attended Prague High School, and was a member of the Calvary Way Church in Prague.
Crystal was a Grant Administrator for the Central Oklahoma Economic Development District in Shawnee.
Crystal raised and showed prize-winning goats. She attended and showed her goats, with her daughters, all around the United States at State Fairs and other shows. Her line of show goats won many ribbons and awards over the years.
Crystal is survived by her mother, Sherri Rose Carpenter of Shawnee and her father Billy Earl Carpenter of Stroud, Okla.; her two daughters, Emily Cooper and Hallie Cooper of Prague; two brothers, Ricky Kerr of Tecumseh, Okla., and Coty Davis of Prague; two sisters, Brandi Frey of Prague and Misty Griffith of Shawnee; many aunts and uncles and friends who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her Grandma and Grandpa Dunn, Grandpa Joe, a cousin Eric Dunn, and numerous other relatives.
Funeral services are planned for 10 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the First Baptist Church at 1500 Bluebell Road, in Prague. Rev. Starland Davis Sr. will officiate at the service, with burial following at the Prague Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Shawn Dunn, Justin Carpenter, BillCody Johnson, Daryl Annis, Danny Thompson and Tanner Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the BancFirst Crystal Cooper Memorial Fund, and please note on the memo who gave the donation.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Dorothy Corona
Dorothy Laverne Corona, 50, Seminole resident died, Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 at her home in Seminole.
Dorothy was born on April 4, 1964 to Mary Laverne (McDaniel) and Hughie Rains, in Rockcastle, Kentucky. Dorothy moved to Seminole five years ago from Shawnee, Okla
Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her favorite TV show the Jerry Springer Show, and wrestling events.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Zaragaza Corona of Seminole, Okla., Step sons Jerry Corona and his wife Angela of Shawnee, Okla. and David Cole, and his wife, Shanni, of Seminole, Okla. Step- daughter Donna Tuggle and her husband Mike of Houston, Tex., nieces Vickie Haskins and her husband David of Seminole, and Carolyn Corona Palacios, of Seminole, and a nephew, Albert Corona, of Seminole. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Moreland officiating.
The family would like to thank the ONHL, Home Health nurses, and staff, and the MacArthur Park Nurses.

Hazel Cossey
Hazel Juanita Cossey was born on August 20, 1927 to Clarence and Bertha Olive in Shawnee, Okla. and entered eternal rest on October 11, 2014 from her home in Seminole.
Her early years were spent on the family farm near Tribbey, Okla. where she graduated from high school in 1945.
There, she met and married the love of her life, Dewayne Curtis Cossey.
They lived for many years in Oklahoma City and in 1952 welcomed a son, Michael Wayne Cossey.
Juanita and Dewayne chose careers with Tinker Air Force Base where they were both swiftly promoted.
In her final years at Tinker, Juanita was involved in the development of the B2 "Stealth" Bomber.
Juanita and Dewayne loved dancing and sports, especially the football careers of their son and grandson.
Their grandson played football at Seminole High School from 9th grade through his senior year, and she attended every game, whether it was played at home or away.
Always an avid OU fan, she rarely missed a broadcast football or basketball game.
Juanita was an outstanding bowler and enjoyed the sport for many years.
She also enjoyed fishing at Lake Eufaula and flower gardening.
She was talented in sewing, painting and woodworking, but her greatest joy was her "boys", son, grandson and great-grandsons.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Reba.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Mike; grandson, Neil and his wife, Jaycie; and great-grandsons, Case and Cole Cossey.
