Former long-time resident Faye Sneed Harvey Franklin, passed away June 17, 2014, in Tulsa, at the age of 92.
She was born March 25, 1922, in Seminole, Okla. to Alta Queen (Vulgamore) and Robert Salvester Sneed, and lived in Seminole until she retired to the Lake Tenkiller area.
In Seminole, she was employed at Pace Chambers Medical Clinic and Park’s Drug Store.
Faye graduated from Pleasant Grove High School, west of Seminole, Okla.
Faye enjoyed bowling, fishing, watching golf on TV, and was an avid card player.
She loved to sew, crochet, and was skilled and prolific at both.
Her family can attest to that by the multiple items they received over the years.
She was loved and adored by her family and will be missed.
Faye is survived by her two daughters, Vicky Langston and her husband, Guy of Tulsa, Okla., Becky Green of Winchester, Tenn. and her son, Obbie Harvey and his wife, Elaine of Seminole, Okla., a sister-in-law, Nadine Sneed of Seminole, Okla.; her grandchildren, Valerie Langston Brettillo of Denver, Colo., Lisa Mullins of Winchester, Tenn., Craig Paul Harvey of Denver, Colo.; four great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Paul Harvey and Roy Franklin; sisters, Pauline Lofton, Irene Bean and a brother, Tommy Sneed.
The family will receive family and friends at a visitation planned for Friday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Little Cemetery with Guy Langston officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Gary Freeman

Gary Freeman, age 69 and a resident of Konawa, Okla. passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014 in Konawa.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014 at the Assembly of God Church in Konawa. Rev. James Williams, Pastor of Faith Assembly of God Church of Ada, Okla. will officiate. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Mark Ezell, Chris Freeman, Keith Maxwell, James Williams, Mick Porter, and Jesse Lindsay.
Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Merriman, Jimmy Watts, J.W. Porter, Ed Cole, Dan Herriman, Lawrence Hinman, BobWalker, and Paul Sanders.
Gary was born on Dec. 13, 1944 in Alameda, Calif. to David Crockett Freeman and Thelma (Hankins) Freeman.
He graduated from Vamoosa High School in 1963, and he proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam conflict.
He served as a crash and crew flagman for the incoming aircraft.
Gary worked as a correctional officer for the Department of Corrections in California until retirement in 2000.
After retirement, he returned to his home town of Konawa to do contract work for OG&E and for Seminole County District #1 for six years as Road Foreman.
Gary loved hunting, fishing, and bailing hay.
He also loved to go to car shows and to drive his pride and joy, a purple 1927 Model T Ford Roadster.
He is survived by one daughter, Becky Elaine Freeman of Chico, Calif.; one brother, Danny Freeman and wife, Becky of Konawa; two sisters, Julia Scott and husband, Ken of Konawa, and Mildred Motley of Kingfisher, Okla.; one grandson, Garrett Freeman and one granddaughter, Brianna Freeman; special friend, Janie Newby of Konawa; and a host of nieces, nephews and many other friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David C. Freeman and Thelma Freeman-Norman; one daughter, Sherry Dianna Freeman; one brother, David Freeman; and two brothers-in-law, J.W. Merriman and Lester Motley
Gracelyn French
Gracelyn Valeria Ann French the precious child of Jason and Meagan Valeria (Garrett) French residents of Mead, Okla. left this world to soon in Durant, Okla. on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014.
Gracelyn is survived by her parents, Jason and Meagan French of Mead, Okla.; siblings, Kane French of Mead, Okla., Alissa French of Calera, Okla. and Kailyn Ward of Calera, Okla.; Grandmother, Valeria (Guh Guh) Garrett of Durant, Okla.; great-grandma, Betty Garrett of Durant, Okla.; great-grandpa, Mal Krumme of Durant, Okla, ; grandpa, Leland French of Eufaula, Okla.; grandparents, Pete & Joyce McCuller of Tamaha, Okla.
Gracelyn was preceded in death by Dr. Ed M. Garrett, John H. Garrett, Grace Krumme and many other family members and loved ones.
A service for Gracelyn's loved one's too express their love will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church in Durant with Rev. Jim Shoyer officiating.
Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Brad French, Jeremy French, Adam Garrett and Evan Garrett.

Tracy Fullbright
Tracey Don Fullbright was born on Sept. 27, 1996, in Oklahoma City, Okla. and departed this life on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, in Prague, Okla., at the age of 17.
Tracey, the son of Tim and Lisa (Sedlacek) Fullbright, was a resident of Meeker.
He was a sophomore at Meeker High School where he played football and baseball. He was also a member of the FFA.
Tracey was preparing to attend the Gordon Cooper Diesel School.
He was employed by Pickup Parts in Meeker.
He was a member of Central Church of Christ in Shawnee.
Tracey loved riding horses and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, weight lifting, and working on cars.
He also helped his family by hauling lots of hay.
His grandmother, Linda Sedlacek, grandfather, Jimmy Franklin Fullbright and cousin, Harli Fullbright, preceded Tracey in death.
Survivors include his parents, Tim and Lisa Fullbright of Meeker; sisters, Jonnelle and Paige Fullbright of the home; brother, Mason Fullbright of the home; half-sister, Amy Tennill of Midwest City; half-brothers, Richard Smith and Daniel Smith, both of Carney; grandfather, John Sedlacek, III; grandmother, Joyce Fullbright; aunts and uncles, Matt and Laura Allison, Jeff and Angie Sedlacek, Gus and Sissy Stevenson, Daniel and Shannon Fullbright, James and Laura Fullbright; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Meeker High School Football Field in Meeker with Robert Prater officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
Eugene Furgerson
Hays Eugene "Furgy" Furgerson, age 65 and a former resident of Asher, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Shawnee Care Center.
He was born on December 18, 1948 in Stockton, Calif., to Cassie Hays Furgerson and Nettie (Matthews) Furgerson.
He is survived by his former wife, Susan Furgerson of Chandler, Okla.; one son, James Furgerson of Chandler, Okla.; two daughters, Terri Gillian of Chandler, Okla., and Carrie Sloan of Shawnee, Okla.; two sisters, Wanda Faught of Stockton, Calif., and Francis Beggs of Weatherford, Tex.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Wanette Cemetery. Edward Cagle will officiate.
Margaret Garner

Margaret Lee (Houck) Garner, 76 year old, longtime Maud, Okla. resident, passed from this life on Jan. 16, 2014 in Shawnee, Okla.
She was born Jan. 23, 1937 in Seminole, Okla. to parents, Clifford C. Houck and Drew "Evelyn" (Westerman) Houck.
Margaret attended Seminole Public Schools graduating from Seminole High School in 1956.
She went on to marry the love of her life Glendon Garner in Ada, Okla.
Margaret had worked various jobs throughout her life. She had worked at Jean’s Flower Shop in Maud, and was also a caregiver.
Margaret retired from Wrangler Jean Company in 2000 where she had worked as a seamstress.
Margaret was very involved at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud where she will be greatly missed by her church family.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Glendon Garner of the home in Maud; one son and daughter-in-law, Geoff and Donna Garner of Shawnee; four sisters-in-law, Shirley Houck of Texas, June Houck of Seminole, Linda Garner of Maud and Barbara Barner of Prague, Okla.; one brother-in-law, Ray Garner and his wife Jim of Maud; five grandchildren, Lucrecia Ragan and her husband Stacy, Dawnya Reese and her husband Steve, Shelby Garner, Jacob Garner and Gavin Garner; six great-grandchildren, Kierstin Ragan, Marissa Cheatwood, Rayanna Cheatwood, Kenzie Ragan, Kourtnee Ragan and Tristan Reese.
Margaret is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Glen Don Garner (1978); one daughter, Dianna Palmer (2013); two brothers, C.D. Houck and Ken Houck.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud. Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud.
Casket bearers will be Gavin Garner, Jacob Garner, Paul Garner, Steve Reese, Stacy Ragan and Dewayne Houck.
Honorary bearers will be Kenneth Stalnaker and Laverne Houck.

Ed Garrett
Dr. Ed M. Garrett, a respected resident of Durant, Okla. passed from this life into the arms of his Savior on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the age of 58 years 11 months and 30 days.
He was born in Boise City, Okla. to John H.L. Garrett and Betty Jane (Johnson) Garrett on Wednesday, June 8, 1955.
Dr. Garrett married his beloved wife Valeria Ann Krumme in Oklahoma City, Okla. on June 26, 1982.
Dr. Garrett practiced Dentistry for 32 years.
He was a dedicated active member of the First Presbyterian Church singing in the choir, and serving the congregation as a deacon while also being a member of the Rotary Club.
Dr. Garrett was an outdoorsmen with a passion for hunting and caring for his guns by doing his own reloading and gunsmithing; he served on the Oklahoma State Board of Dentistry was a Board Examiner.
He liked to travel, enjoy fine food, and he also enjoyed reading.
He will be missed by his family, friends and patients.
Dr. Garrett is survived by his wife, Valeria Garrett of the home; daughter, Meagan French and husband Jason of Mead, Okla.; sons, Adam Garrett of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Evan Garrett of Durant, Okla.; grandson, Kane French of Mead, Okla.; mother, Betty Garrett of Durant, Okla.; brother, Marshall Garrett and wife Leslie of Boise, Idaho; brother-in-law, Don Krumme of Durant, Okla.; father-in-law, M.L. Krumme of Durant, Okla.; cousin, Jane Ann Johnson-Smith of Platteville, Colo.
Dr. Garrett was preceded in death by his father, John Harvey Loyd Garrett.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla.
A Celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church in Durant, Okla. with Rev. Jim Shroyer and Dr. Alan Peeples officiating. Interment will follow in Boise City, Okla. at the Boise City Cemetery on Friday, June 13, 2014 with service at 11 a.m.
The pallbearers will be Brian Hill, Scott Hampton, B.J. Keeling, James Britton, Ed Wingfield, Dale Elsener and Jeff Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Garrett, Evan Garrett, Jason French, Don Krumme, Marshall Garrett and Dr. J.L. Wheeler.
