RONNIE SHORES

ADA — Services for Ronnie Glenn Shores, 48, Ada, are 10 a.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. David Gray officiating. Burial follows at Five Mile Cemetery.

Mr. Shores died Oct. 13, 2005, at a local hospital. He was born June 20, 1957, at Ada, to Donald and Wanda Gammons Shores. He lived in this area most of his life, attending school at Homer Elementary, Byng and graduated from Ada High School.

Mr. Shores was employed in the oilfield services.

Survivors include his parents, Donald and Wanda Shores, Ada; two brothers, Alvin Shores and Stanley Shores and wife Lisa, all of Ada; two sisters, Christene Shores and Annita Ward and husband Melvin, all of Ada; and five nieces.

KONAWA — Graveside services for Charlene Brown, 81, Konawa, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oaklawn Cemetery, Wynnewood. She died Oct. 15, 2005, at Ada.

NORMAN WYCHE SR.

ADA — Services for Norman Lee Wyche, Sr., 74, Ada, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Frank Trent officiating. Burial follows at Lightning Ridge Cemetery.

Mr. Wyche died Oct. 14, 2005, at his home. He was born Sept. 11, 1931, at Fitzhugh, to Welcome and Juanita Miles Wyche. He lived in the Ada area all his life. He attended school at Fitzhugh and graduated from Fitzhugh High School.

Mr. Wyche was employed with Ideal Cement as a beltline repairman retiring after 27 years of service. He played minor league baseball and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by a son, Norman C. Wyche Jr.; and a brother, Boydean Wyche.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Wyche, of the home; two daughters, Pat Estes, Ada, and Reta DeFonseca, Aurora, Colo.; one son, Jody Wyche, Bethesda, Md.; three brothers, Jerry Wyche, Sulphur, Danny Wyche, Fitzhugh, and Mike Wyche, Roff; four sisters, June Beavers, Kay Dansby, Carol Hembree, all of Ada, and Janice West, Gaar Corner; six grandchildren, Tommie Wayne Estes, Jr., Renee McDaniel, Joe McDaniel, James McDaniel, Jason Wyche and Glenn Wyche; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Bearers are Dan Wyche, Kevin Wyche, Jim Wyche, Ish Tatum, Richard Teel and Tommie Estes, Jr. Honorary bearers are Oniel Jackson, Paul Dansby, Sammy Townsend and Don Northcutt.

ALLEN — Services for Arvel Snow, Sr., 87, Allen, are pending with Criswell Funeral Home. He died Oct. 17, 2005, at a Holdenville hospital.

TUPELO — Services for Roger Vernon Haworth, 65, Tupelo, are 2 p.m. Monday at Tupelo Baptist Church. Burial follows at Cairo Cemetery.

Mr. Haworth died Oct. 13, 2005, at Coalgate.

JACK MOORE

EUREKA SPRINGS, Ark. — Services for Jack “J.D.” Moore, 83, Eureka Springs, were Saturday Oct. 15 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel, Shawnee, Okla., the Rev. Lewis Cox officiating. Burial followed at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Mr. Moore was born April 2, 1922, at Stratford, Okla., to Orba O. and Edith Elizabeth Duggan Moore.

He served in the Army during World War II. Later, he was a truck driver and farmer. He was a Baptist and member of American Legion Post 191 at Stratford.

He married Phyllis LaJoy Deaton Feb. 17, 1960, near Ada. She died Feb. 14, 2000. He was also preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Wilma Maxine Fry Moore; and a son, Kenneth Ray Moore.

Survivors include a son Gary Moore and his wife Kay, Norman; a daughter Linda McNair and husband James, Alpena; three grandsons, Jackie Cole, Jeff McNair and Jordan McNair; three granddaughters, Karen Adams, Heather Cox and Amy Davila; and three great-grandsons, Jack Adams, Dillon Adams and Spencer Albright.

WYNEMA SHELBY

ABILENE, Kan. — Services for Wynema Vesta Shelby, 87, Abilene, are 10:30 a.m. Monday on the Jim Shelby farm, located two miles east of Alex, Okla.

Mrs. Shelby died Oct. 13, 2005, at Abilene. She was born June 3, 1918, at Brice, Texas, to Luther and Elver Perry Hahn.

She married Leonard Shelby. He died in 1995.

Survivors include two sons, Jim Shelby, Bradley, and Dale Shelby, Livingston, La.; and a daughter, LaNelle Hancock, Peck.

VINCENT ROSALEZ JR.

DALLAS, Texas — Services for Vincent Rosalez Jr., 60, Dallas, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Jeter & Son Chapel, the Rev. Frank Trent, Ada, Okla., officiating. Burial follows at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery. Visitation is 2-5 p.m. today and 4-6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

He died Oct. 13, 2005. He was born July 11, 1945, at Dallas.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Vincent Rosalez Sr. and a son Vincent Rosalez III.

Survivors include children Trina Trent and husband Keith, Roman Rosalez and wife Jessica, Chente Rosalez and Henry Martinez; siblings, Sarah Acevedo, Adela Rodriguez, Pauline Morales, Mary Helen Guajardo, Beatrice Aguilar, Ruby Arroyo and Paul Rosales Jr; and nine grandchildren.

WHEATON, Ill. — Services for Versa Smith, 98, Wheaton, are pending with Watts Funeral Home, Tishomingo, Okla. She died Oct. 15, 2005, at Wheaton.

DONALD COX

TUPELO — Graveside services for Donald Andrew Cox, 50, Tupelo, are 3 p.m. Monday at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Francis, the Rev. Ed Rutherford officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Cox died Oct. 13, 2005, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born Jan. 21, 1955, at Blyth, Calif., to Andrew Daniel Cox, Jr. and Cora Eva May Cox. He attended school at Tupelo.

Mr. Cox moved to this area in 1964 from Arizona. He married Beverly Ann Key Nov. 12, 1994. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Tupelo Club. He served in the National Guard for eight years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Della Knighten.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Cox, of the home; two daughters, Crystal Walkup and husband Ronnie, Tupelo, and Carla Gibson and husband Marvin, Coalgate; one son, Richard Hankins, Tupelo; a brother, Andrew Cox, III and wife Anita, Oklahoma City; two sisters, Cora Jackson and husband William, Ada, and Tina Cox, Oklahoma City; five granddaughters; and two grandsons.

Honorary bearers are Tiny Jackson, Jimmy Knighten, Terry Young, Marvin Gibson, Timmy Sanders, Tony Sanders, Ronnie Walkup and Michael Humphreys.

ADA — Memorial services for Cheryl Ann “Shari” Fennell, 58, Ada, are 2 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Chapel, The Rev. Joe Dixon officiating.

Mrs. Fennell died Oct. 15, 2005, at a local hospital. She was born Oct. 10, 1947, at Ada. She worked at Blue Bell/Wrangler for 27 years.

She married Frank G. Fennell Oct. 10, 1976, at Ada.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Fennell, of the home; her mother, Joan Ramsey, Ada; two sons, Eddie D. “Charlie” Law and wife Tracy, Norman, and Jason Fennell, Ada; one brother, Monte Law and wife Susan, Ada; two grandchildren, Sammy Law and Molly Law; an uncle, Dale Edwards and wife Sharon, Phoenix, Ariz.; an aunt, Charlene Patty, Phoenix, Ariz.; cousins, Janice Bailey and Mike Patty; and special friend, Bill Henry.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to Nazih Zudhi Transplant Institute, Integris Baptist Medical Center, 3000 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
