James "Jim" Vernon Latimer, 63, of Shreveport, La. passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 at his home in Shreveport, La.
Jim was born on Sept. 2, 1950 to Vernon "Pete" Latimer and Sarah Louise (Cunningham) Latimer in Shawnee, Okla.
Jim grew up in Saint Louis, Okla. and graduated from Maud High School in 1968.
He attended and graduated from Oklahoma State Tech in Okmulgee with a degree in Diesel Mechanics.
Jim had worked for Zachry Industrial Inc. for the past eight years.
He spent over 40 years in construction experience in Nuclear Power Plants, Chemical Plants, Refineries, Mining, manufacturing, Bridges (Railroad & Vehicle) crossing rivers, state highways and interstate highways, ensuring safe work practices in residential, commercial and industrial environments.
Jim loved baseball and while in Ingleside, Tex., he was President of the Little League Baseball Association for a number of years.
Jim’s favorite pastime was riding his red Harley Davidson motorcycle and watching OU football.
Preceding him in death was his father, Vernon "Pete" Latimer; his mother, Sarah Louise (Cunningham) Latimer; and his grandparents.
Survivors include his sisters, Linda Rennels and husband, Dick of Canute, Okla. and Kay Nix and husband, Richard of Oklahoma City, Okla.; brothers, Larry Latimer of Saint Louis, Okla. and David Latimer of Little Rock, Ark.; nephews, Aaron Rennels of Oklahoma City, Okla., Corey Rennels and wife, Candice and their children, Riley and Annalee of Mustang, Okla., Brandon Smith of Shawnee, Okla. and Brad Smith and wife, Mandy and their children, Tatum and Piper Grace of Shawnee, Okla.; also survived by other extended loving relatives and many lifelong friends.
Visitation will begin 12 noon, Wednesday, May 14, 2014 and continue through service time.
Service will be 2 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 at Saint Louis Baptist Church with Pastor Glen Peck, Saint Louis Baptist Church and nephew, Aaron Rennels officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
Lavonna Chupco
Lavonna "Bonna" L Chupco, age 50 of Oklahoma City, Okla. passed away Monday, Oct. 20, 2014.
She was born Oct. 31, 1963 in Shawnee, Okla. to the late Reuben Stumblingbear and Lorene Johnson.
Lavonna married David Chupco Nov. 23, 1979 in Wewoka, Okla.
She worked at Smart Style Salon as a barber stylist.
She was raised in the Seminole county area and attended Strothers School.
Preceding Lavonna in are her parents, sister Rachel Kaulity, brothers Eugene Stumblingbear, Robert Stumblingbear, Robyn "Chebon" Walker Sr., and Michael Walker.
Survivors include children: Sherrie Lynne Chupco, Quentin Chupco, Lucinda Chupco, Michael Berryhill Stumblingbear, Racheal Stumblingbear all of Oklahoma City; one sister Karen Stumblingbear; three brothers Reuben Stumblingbear Jr, Oklahoma City, Horace Stumblingbear of Lexington, Okla., and Daryl Walker of Seminole, Okla.; five grandchildren; one uncle Herb Johnson of Strafford, Okla., and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mathew Stumblingbear, Isaiah Berryhill-Stumblingbear, Seth Berryhill, Randall Stumblingbear, Felix Walker, and Reuben Stumblingbear Jr.
Pall bearers will be Quentin Chupco, Micheal Berryhill-Stumblingbear, Anthony Kaulity, Jason Stumblingbear, Joshua Stumblingbear, Lester Billie Jr., Matthew Stumblingbear, and Dannye Stumblingbear,
Graveside service will be 1:30 PM Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014 at Johnson Family Cemetery, with Thomas Billie Jr. and Kevin Fox officiating.

Terri Laymon
Terri Renee (Cain) Laymon, Seminole, Okla. resident, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at her home in Seminole at the age of 56.
She moved to Seminole two years ago from Tecumseh, Okla.
Terri was born Oct. 18, 1957 in Ft. Worth, Tex.
She graduated in 1976 from Joshua High School in Texas.
Terri worked as a surgical technician in several hospitals in the Tulsa area.
The last few years, while still employed at the hospitals, she also taught at Platt College in Tulsa, Okla. and Wes Watkins VoTec in Wetumka, Okla.
Terri married Edwin Laymon in Eureka Springs, Ark. on Aug. 2, 2002.
Terri is survived by her husband, Edwin Laymon of the home; her mother, Phyllis Leach and James Leach of Tecumseh, Okla., formerly of Holdenville, Okla.; one son, Chris Cain and his wife ‘Renae of Mustang, Okla.; one daughter, Amber Reyes and her husband Mike of Austin, Tex.; two brothers, Paul Cain and Kevin Cain both of Tulsa, Okla.; four grandchildren, Caleb Reyes, Ethan Reyes, Hannah Cain and Micah Cain.
Terri was preceded in death by infant brother, David Aaron Brown.
Memorial services will be held Monday, May 19, 2014 at New Life Church in Wewoka, Oklahoma at 2 p.m.
Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

James Audrey "Boya" Leader, 61 of Wewoka, the grandson of Nellie and Jimmie Bell passed away on Oct. 15, 2014.
A wake service is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014 at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville, Okla.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, 2014 at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.
Pastor John Waltrip will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Jr. Bell, Randy Leader, Raymond Leader Jr., Brian Jackson, David Jackson, Bryan Leader, and Tony Leader.
Interment will follow at the Hitchite Church Cemetery in Strothers, Okla.
Born on December 4, 1952 in Talihina, Okla. to Molly and Barney Leader, he was raised in Lamar by his grandparents and aunts.
He went to Lamar Schools and Moss High School.
He married Gayle Watkins.
He is survived by one daughter, Jamie Leader of Enid, brothers Eddie Leader of Henryetta and Raymond Leader of Lamar, well as several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding James in death are his parents, grandparents, uncles Charlie Bell and Raymond Bell, aunt Joan Lowe.
James was employed for many years by Conoco Petroleum and worked all over the United States as a welder.
He became Construction Coordinator for Conoco and enjoyed his work until his retirement.
Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Okla.
Ben LeBarre
Ben Michael "Mickey" LeBarre, 59, of Seminole, crossed the great divide on Friday.
He was born to the late Benny and Eunice LeBarre, March 26, 1954, in Seminole, Okla.
Mickey graduated from Seminole High School in 1972.
Mickey was a lifelong resident of Seminole.
Mickey is survived by two brothers, Larry LeBarre of Houston, Tex.; Robin LeBarre of Oklahoma City, Okla.
He is also survived by two children, Ashley Brown of Augusta, Ga., Ben LeBarre of Seminole.
Mickey is also survived by his niece and nephew, Jessica LeBarre of Houston, Tex.; Bennett LeBarre, of Los Angeles, Calif.
Mickey is survived by one grandchild, Bennett Brown, of Augusta, Ga.
Mickey's favorite hobby's included riding his motorcycles, spending time with his brothers, and listening to his favorite music on his stereo.
He took great pride in his electronics and football, but above all, he held his greatest pride of his life to his grandson, Bennett.
Memorial Services are planned for, 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.

John Leitka
John "Sonny" Leitka Jr. passed away Friday, Nov. 7th, 2014 in Bethany, Okla. at the age of 78.
He was born on March 21, 1936 in Wewoka to John Leitka Sr. and Harlie Mitchell Leitka.
John graduated Wewoka High School and later went on to get his Associates Degree from Murray State College in Tishimingo, his Bachelor Degree at East Central University in Ada, and his Master Degree at the University of Oklahoma.
John was a Social Worker for the State of Oklahoma.
He was married to JoAnn Southerland.
The Wake Service for John will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014 at the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014 at the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.

John is preceded in death by his parents; John Leitka Sr. and Harlie Mitchell Leitka, his wife; JoAnn (Southerland) Leitka, his step son; Nicholas Lear, and his sisters; Annie Mae Leitka and Virginia Sue Leitka. He is survived by his brother; Richmond Leitka of Norman and sister; Billye Leitka of Wewoka, numerous neices, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Rosey Lena
Rosey Lee Lena, 80, former longtime Seminole County resident, died Saturday, March 14, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
She was born Jan. 27, 1934 in Sasakwa, Okla. to Lula (Davis) Tiger and Jessie Tiger.
She grew up in the Sasakwa area and attended schools there.
She had lived and worked in the Oklahoma City area for many years. She was a childcare worker in area daycares.
She was a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Lena of Oklahoma City, Vickie Palomino of Tecumseh, Okla., Mary Gonzales of Oklahoma City and Arlinda "Buffy" Longria of Oklahoma City; one brother Billy Joe Harjo of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Richard Lena; and a grandson, Baby Mecco Lena.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at the Spring Baptist Church on Highway 56, west of Sasakwa with Rev. David Little officiating. Burial will follow at the Davis Family Cemetery, east of Sasakwa.
Wake services will be held, Monday, March 17, 2014, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.
Casket bearers will be Chebon Palomino, Paul Factor, Dustin Lena, Jorge Longoria, Hector Longoria, Tyler Fields Jr., Matthew Chuculate and Billy Jo Harjo, Jr.
