Jewel (Bramblette) Morland, 97, long time Seminole, Okla. resident, died Friday, July 25, 2014 at Colonial Estates Care Center in Shawnee, Okla.
She was born Oct. 16, 1916 in Seminole to Terrell Bramblette and Ola Denise Allen (Clifton) Bramblette.
In the early years, she went to California to help in the war efforts along with other women that were called "Rosie the Riveter, " she later returned to Seminole where she met and married Vernon "Vern" Morland.
She worked at various businesses in Seminole including, the Gusher Inn (now known as the Oxford Inn), Seminole High School Cafeteria, Pioneer Nursing Home and Miller’s Plant Farm.
She is survived by four sons, Larry Morland of Texas, David Morland of Seminole, Mike Morland of Shawnee, Rusty Morland of Seminole; three daughters, Yvonne Welliver of Shawnee, Doris (Gale) Morland of Shawnee, Shirley Johnson of Moore; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Terrell and Ola Bramblette; her husband, Vern Morland; one son, Gary Morland; three brothers, Elmer Reynolds, Vernon Bramblette, Fred Bramblette; and one granddaughter, Diane Morland Griffin.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Rev. Alan Wood officiating the service. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.
Casket Bearers will be Mike Morland, Eric Morland, David Morland, Rusty Morland, Traci Welliver and Jason Welliver.
Honorary Bearers will be Amos Welliver, Adam Welliver and Cole Morland.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Bobby Morris
Bobby Joe Morris, age 83 and a resident of Asher, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at his home.
A graveside service with full military honors is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8th at Quinton City Cemetery, in Quinton, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Rev. Matt Riddle will officiate and J.D. Pippins will assist.
Visitation will begin Friday, November 7th from 8:30 until 7:00 p.m. at the Konawa funeral home, and a book is available now for signing.
Bob was born on December 14, 1930 in Quinton, Okla. to Lee Freeman Morris and Grace Elizabeth (Langford) Morris. He graduated from Quinton High School and married Thelma L. Pippins on May 21, 1955 in Oklahoma City.
He worked as a railroad foreman and a coal miner, and for the air force with twenty-one years of military service as a Technical Sergeant.
During his military career, he was a member of the 46th Communications Squadron, and he was honored for his commendable service as a Maintenance Analysis Technician, Command Manager, Directorate of Communications and Electronics, and Deputy Chief of Staff of Operations.
He served two terms in Korea and was stationed in Zwibrucken and Semback Germany. Bob also served ten years in Civil Service at Tinker Airforce Base until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Telma L. Morris of the home; three sons, Kevin Morris of Stratford, Okla., Ronald Morris of Asher, Okla., and Mark Morris of Lexington, Okla.; one sister, Bartona Manning of Shawnee, six grandchildren, Jennifer Morris, Brandon Morris, Justin Morris, Taylor Morris, Melanie Digison, and Stanley Gentry; and one great grandchild, Zeland Gentry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Grace Morris; one brother, Arthur Morris; one sister, Bessie Brown; and one grandchild, Amy Digison.
Charlotte Morris
Charlotte Carol Harris Morris, 72, Seminole county resident died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital North in Oklahoma City, Okla.
She was born Oct. 9, 1941 in Holdenville, Okla. to Louis Harris and Iva (Jackson) Harris.
She worked as the executive secretary for Chiron Ophthalmic Company in Irvine, Calif. before moving back to Seminole county eight years ago from Tustin, Calif.
Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Velazquez of Earlsboro, Okla., Sherri Lynn Morris of Seattle, Wash.; one brother, Edward Harris of Texas; one sister, Lahoma Pruitt of Plainview, Tex.; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Iva (Jackson) Harris; her father, Louis Harris; and three sisters, Penny, Delores, and Laveda.
Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Doyle Morris
Doyle Gene Morris, 60, longtime Seminole resident passed away, Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014 in Seminole.
Doyle was born June 4, 1954 in Holdenville, Okla., to Willa Dean (Locke) and Carl William Morris.
Doyle lived in Seminole all his life and attended Seminole Public Schools, graduating from Seminole High School in 1972.
He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Seminole, and was baptized on Jan. 17, 1972.
Doyle served his country, in the U.S. Army as a SPC-E-4. Doyle was a member of the American Legion.
He enjoyed fishing and collecting bandanas.
Doyle retired in 2006, after working for Morris and Son’s Power Tong Service and the Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum.
Doyle married Joan Ross on Oct. 20, 1989, in Seminole, Okla.
Doyle is survived by his wife, Joan Ross Morris of Seminole; three sons, Wayland Morris of Seminole, Jackie Parker and his wife Donita of Meeker, Okla., and Rick Parker and his wife Lori of Gidding, Tex.; and a daughter, Brandi Simpson and her husband Chip of Seminole.
He is also survived by two brothers, David Morris and his wife Sheri, of Bay City, Mich. and Darrell Morris and his wife Tracy of Fredonia, Kans.; one sister, Deb Wimer and her husband Ken of McLoud, Okla.; nieces, Stephanie Broughton and her husband Brian of Choctaw, Okla., Stacy Stiffler of Seminole, Aubrey Cavett of McLoud, Okla. and Ashley Cavett of Edmond, Okla., and Leah, Jade and Austin Morris of Bay City, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Gaberial Morris, Cara O’Neal, Jackilyn Parker, Justin Parker, Kayla Parker, Ross Parker and Jacob Blalock; six great grandchildren, Kaylee Fryar, Korbyn Peltier, Jaycee O’Neal, Raylee Blalock, Weston Blalock and Jaydin Parker.
Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Willa Dean Morris.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Mark Hennen officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery, with Military Honors.
Casket bearers will be Justin Parker, Jacob Blalock, Fielding O’Neal, Ken Wimer, Brian Broughton, Dustin Broughton, Ross Parker, Jackie Parker, Charlie Anson, Rick Parker and Andre Bauer.
Honorary Bearers will be Ross Parker, Gabriel Morris, and Charley Anson.

Harry Morris
Harry Phillip Morris, age 78 and a long-time resident of Seminole, Okla., passed away on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at Chickasaw Medical Center in Ada, Oklahoma.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.
Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.

Harry Morris
Harry Phillip Morris, 78, longtime Seminole resident died, Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 at Chickasaw Nation Medical Center in Ada, Okla.
Phillip was born March 16, 1936 in Seminole, Okla. to Vaden Elizabeth (Smith) and Harry Oakes Morris.
Phillip attended New Lima Public Schools and graduated in 1954; he attended East Central University, Oklahoma State University, University of Oklahoma, Tulsa University and received his Masters of Education from St. Mary’s in San Antonio, Tex.
Phillip was a member of the Disciples of Christ First Christian Church in Seminole where he was an elder.
He was an active member of the Seminole City Masonic Lodge # 476 AF & AM, where he served in all offices and served as worshipful Master three times, and currently was serving as secretary of the lodge.
He was also a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
Phillip retired from the United States Air Force in 1981 after 20 years of service to his country; he attained the rank of Captain.
He was also a retired educator, teaching Math and Business at Earlsboro Schools, Carnegie Schools, Prague Schools, Dustin Schools, and was principal at Hanna High School.
Phillip raised Registered Simmental Cattle, loved being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He taught concealed carry gun courses here in Seminole, and was an avid gun lover.
Phillip married Patricia Ann Lasley on March 27, 1959 at the Air Force Base in Amarillo, Texas.
Phillip is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Patricia Ann Morris of Seminole, one son Phillip Alan Morris and his wife Tommy of Seminole, Okla., two daughters Phyllis Ann Wallace of Ada, Oklahoma, and Patricia Kay Crabbe and her husband Don Crabbe of Cabot, Arkansas, one sister Mary Lou Duggins of Sharon, Okla. and a sister-in-law Clarice Morris of Seminole, Okla., nine grandchildren Amy Ballagh and her husband Garet, Bryan Allen, Brent Allen and his wife Melanie, Laura Lipps, Eric Gray, Angela Wacha and her husband Scott, Krystal Morris and Scott Enderson and Kara Crabbe, Great Grandchildren, Lucus Lipps, Gavin Lee Ballagh, Maeleigh Ann Allen, Gia Nicole Ballagh and Finley Olivia Allen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jack Favor Morris, grandson Jacob Wayne Crabbe, and son-in-law, Dr. J.B. Wallace.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Okla. with Rev. Glen Pence officiating, Masonic rites will be given by Seminole City Lodge # 476.
Burial will follow with full military honors at Little Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Bryan Allen, Brent Allen, Scott Enderson, Eric Gray, Dee Henson and John Henson.

Christina Motley
Seminole county resident Christina Renea (Roberts) Motley, 29, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 at Midwest City, Okla.
She was born Aug. 23, 1984 in Tulsa, Okla. to O'Neal Smith and Lahoma Factor Roberts.
Wake services are scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Horace Bradshaw officiating.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at Middle Creek #2, with Rev. Anthony Bradshaw officiating and burial to follow at Tate Mountain Cemetery.
She was a member of the Tallahassee Band.
She married Billy Motley Sept. 10, 2011 in Wewoka, Okla.
She is preceded in death by her mother.
Survivors include husband, Billy Motley of the home; father, O'Neal Smith of Stillwater, Okla.; children, Ariana Roberts, Nathaniel Roberts, Fayv Motley, and Shi Colbert all of Wewoka.

Betty Moy
Betty Lou Moy passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 in Holdenville, Okla. at the age of 84 years.
Betty was born Jan. 19, 1930 in Earlsboro, Okla. to Ira and Alma McCoy.
She attended Kight and Wewoka Schools.
She married Gregory Pete Moy II on Nov. 8, 1948 in Sasakwa, Okla.
They were blessed with two children, Mary Gale Moy and Elisabeth Moy Wilkerson.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Gale Moy; her husband, Gregory Pete Moy; brothers, Albert, Ovid, Burl, James, Donald McCoy; sisters, Garnett McCoy, Edith Rankin, Eva Linder, and Mary Grigsby.
Survivors are daughter, Liz Wilkerson and husband Mike of Holdenville; grand daughters, Hayley Kelley of Wewoka, and Kesha Wilkerson of Holdenville.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday May 8, 2014 at the Holdenville Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Holdenville with Rev. Earl Scroggins officiating and burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka.
Pallbearers are Mike Wilkerson, Brent Kelley, Brock Ward, Richard Cline II, Roger Wilkerson, and Jim Bob Martin.
