Ella G. Norman, 94, former resident of Sasakwa died Aug. 31, 2014 in Chandler, Okla.
She was born Aug. 21, 1920 in Peel, Ark. to David and Ethel Barkhimer.
She attended school at Limestone.
She married Charles Thurman Norman on Oct. 15, 1938 in Wewoka, Okla.
Preceding her death are her parents; spouse, Charles; son, Melvin; brothers, L.M. Barkhimer, J.D. Barkhimer, and sister Stella Streater; two grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Survivors include her sons, Thurman Norman of Chandler and Jim Norman of Chandler, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, sister Zella Paisley; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside service is scheduled 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Davenport Cemetery in Davenport, Okla. Pastor Mike Mitchell will officiate.
Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home in Wewoka, Okla.
Robert North
Robert Alan "Bobby" North was born on Oct. 8, 1954, in Prague, Okla., and departed this life at his home on May 28, 2014, in Seminole, Okla., at the age of 59.
Bobby, the son of William Gene and Billie Sue (Adams) North, was a life-long resident of the Little Community.
He graduated from Strother High School with the class of 1972.
He married Jennifer (Colbert) North on July 2, 1996, in Hot Springs, Ark.
He worked in the oilfield industry for over 40 years.
He was the owner/operator of Red Fork Drilling Company, North Drilling Company and North Trucking, Inc. He was also a drilling consultant for Southwest Energy at the time of his death.
His parents; daughter, Amber Gene North; and sister, Jeanie Lea North, preceded Bobby in death.
Survivors include: his wife of 17 years, Jennifer (Colbert) North of the home; daughters and son-in-law, Hannah North of the home, Brittain and Jonathan Valdez of Holdenville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Janet North of Seminole, Teddy and Denise North of Seminole; and other family and friends.
The North family will receive friends on Friday, May 30, 2014, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Little Church of Christ in Seminole County with Rusty Dawson officiating. Interment will follow at the Little Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
Jane Northcott
Jane "Fvske" (Coker) Northcott, 75, Seminole, Okla. resident died Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
She was born Jan. 2, 1939 in Seminole to Barney Coesee Coker, Sr. and Katie Carmencia (West) Coker.
She graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1956, and after graduation she earn her associate degree in business.
Jane was a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, as a part of the Tusekia Harjo Band and the Tiger Clan.
She worked for over 10 years with the B.I.A. (Bureau of Indian Affairs) at Chilocco Boarding School in north eastern Oklahoma and later for the Shawnee B.I.A.
She then went to work for the General Motor Company in Oklahoma City where she worked 29 years, retiring in 2006.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Northcott of Siloam Springs, Ark., Randy Northcott of Edmond, Okla.; one daughter, Kay Hurst of Meeker, Okla.; five sisters, Margie Stalnaker of Seminole, Martha Flippin of Seminole, Daisy Marshall of Tulsa, Okla., Juliet Hopper of Seminole, Rosetta Pigeon of Seminole; two brothers, Bobby Northcott of Bowlegs, Okla. and Richard Northcott of Seminole; ten grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Barney Coker, Sr.; her mother, Katie (West) Coker; three brothers, Jessie Don Coker, Dan Coker, Barney Coker, Jr. and by one sister, Shirley Henneha.
A wake service is scheduled for 6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Bro. Joe Jones and Rev. George Harjoche officiating. Interment will follow at the Barney Coker Cemetery west of Seminole.
Casket Bearers will be Wayland Northcott, Alex Northcott, Sheldon Hurst, Manuel Lena, Matthew Buoy, Nathan Fowler and Brad Ward.

Christopher Northern
Christopher James "Chris" Northern, 41, Seminole resident died June 2, 2014 at his home in Seminole.
He was born Nov. 7, 1972 in Phoenix, Ariz. to James Dee "Jim" Northern and Sally (Troutz) Northern.
He moved to Seminole 23 years ago from Arizona and had worked as a machinist.
He is survived by his parents, James and Sally Northern of Seminole; one daughter, Renae Brown of Columbus, Ohio; one sister, Jamie Ott of Bearden, Okla.; one brother, James Clark of Phoenix, Ariz.; and one grandson.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edgar and Vivian Troutz and Jimmie Dee Northern.
Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Vinita Nutter
Vinita Corene (Gibson) Nutter, 94, longtime Seminole resident, died Saturday, May 3, 2014 in Seminole, Okla.
Corene was born July 1, 1919 in Atoka, Okla. to William R. and Arra (Johnston) Gibson.
On Aug. 26, 1937 she married Jesse Nutter, Jr. in Stonewall, Okla.; he preceded her in death after 71 years of marriage.
During her life, Corene took care of her home and family, was very active in the First Baptist Church in Seminole, teaching children’s Sunday school and attending as long as she was able.
She loved her family and her church family.
She and Jesse loved fishing, camping and going in their travel trailer to area lakes.
Her husband of 71 years, Jesse; her youngest daughter Mary Beth Davis; her parents; four brothers; and three sisters preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Sue Streater and her husband Dale of Kellyville, Okla. and Kaye Allen and her husband Jimmie of Jones, Okla.; one son-in-law Jeff Davis of Little, Okla.; one sister-in-law, Joan Douglas of Paden, Okla.
She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Casket bearers will be her grandsons, Jay Allen, Greg Nutter, Chad Streater, Owen Davis, Matt Allen, Dirk Streater, Shawn Streater, Clay Streater, Jesse Davis and Jason Nutter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the First Baptist Church on 404 Reid Street in Seminole with Rev. Marvin Kehl officiating.

Morning-Star (Wise) Jumper, age 35 years departed this life Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014 in Oklahoma City.
She was born March 10, 1979 in Claremore to Harley Jumper and LaNore Wise.
Morning-Star was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She loved to work out and eating out with her family at Chilinos and Zios.
Morning-Star is preceded in death by her mother; infant son; and grandmother, Tommie Jumper.
Survivors include father, Harley Jumper of Hollywood, Fla.; children, Rickito Toho of Oklahoma City, Derick Toho of Hollywood Fla., Jason Jumper, Lee John Jumper, Ericka Jumper, Asah Jumper all of Hollywood Fla., Emanuell Jumper of Oklahoma City; granddaughter, Isabella Portillo; sisters Jennifer Jumper and Symphony Jumper of Hollywood, Fla., grandparents Henry Wise and Fannie Harjo and numerous other relatives and friends.
Wake service will be 7 p.m. Sunday at Middle Creek #2 Church with Pastor Houston Tiger, and Pastor George Harjoche officiating.

A’Zyuhnii Chenaye Olden-Banks infant daughter of Glenn Ray Banks Jr. and Tawanna Marie Olden. was born Sept.16, 2014, and passed on Sept. 16, 2014 in Midwest City, Okla.
She is survived by her parents; brothers, Glenn Ray Banks III, JaQuary Banks and Ca'Ron Banks of Oklahoma City; sisters, Mae Lois "MyShayla Banks, Rikki Stoner, and Destanie Olden Banks of the home; grandparents, Elizabeth Olden of Oklahoma City, Mae Lois Geretta of Oklahoma City and a host of other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death are grandparents, Rev. Tonny Ray Olden Sr. and Glenn Ray Banks Sr..
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014 at Thomas Town Cemetery, Saskawa, Okla. with Keith Hardwick officiating.

Edith Oliver
Funeral services for Edith "Edie" Varie Oliver age 91, of Wewoka are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday Feb. 10, 2014 at New Life Church, Wewoka, with Rev. Jimmy Freeman and Rev. Tommy Azlin officiating and burial will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 10, 1922 in Holdenville, Okla. to the late William B. Cathey and Cecil Irene (Johnson) Cathey.
She passed away Wednesday, Feb. 5th, 2014 at her home in Wewoka.
Edith was a graduate of Wolf high school and was a Lab assistant in Wewoka and Holdenville.
She was a member of New Life Church, Wewoka.
Her spare time was spent reading the Bible, quilting, knitting, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Preceding Edith in death are her parents; husband, Thomas J. Oliver, in 2001; and six sisters.
Survivors include seventeen nieces and nephews, numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
She will be greatly missed by all she knew.
Pall Bearers will be Jimmy Ray Been, Raymond Burrell, James Burrell Jr., Jason Peters, Caleb Peters, and Scott Johnson.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Lou Freeman, Benny Freeman, Arthur Been, Slick Factor, Bob Powers, and David Chandler.
