Wilma Parks, 85, of Knoxville died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, in her home in Knoxville.
She was born in Rosetta on March 12, 1929, to the late Doc Claude Rutledge and Narcissa (Price) Rutledge.
She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Parks, and brother, James Howard Rutledge.
She is survived by four sons and one daughter, Greg Parks of Seminole, Okla., Mike Parks of Knoxville, Roger Parks of Seminole, Jeff Parks of Knoxville and Sonja Parks Jenkins of Little Rock; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
The funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Knoxville with the Rev. Richard Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at Knoxville Cemetery with Richard Parks, Steven Parks, Kent Parks, Stan Parks, Case Parks, Josh Parks, Linkin Parks and Jon-Luke Jenkins serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ava-Kate Jenkins, Britini Parks and Kennedy Coker.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Bobby Parsons
A memorial was held for Bobby Joe Parsons, age 73, on July 13 at his dad and mother’s old home site.
Bobby was born in Prague, Okla. on June 11, 1941 to Russell and Freida Parsons.
He passed away at Shawnee Hospital on June 27, 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of the home; daughter, Amber Parsons of Seminole; son, Bo and his wife, Brandy of Tecumseh; grandchildren, J.T., Jaxson, Andrew and Cole; and brothers, Jimmy Parsons of Seminole and Bill Parsons of Cushing.
Carol Parsons

Carol Jean Parsons, a resident of Eureka Springs, Ark., was born July 11, 1941, in Kansas City, Mo., a daughter of Eugene Victor and Vera Katherine (Burwinkle) Allen.
She departed this life, Oct. 1, 2014 in Rogers, Ark., at the age of 73 years.
Carol worked sixteen years in the County Clerk Office in Independence, Kans.
She enjoyed traveling, fishing, cooking, and her pets.
Carol worked at the gift shop at the Great Passion Play.
On Feb. 5, 2000 she was united in marriage with Leroy Parsons who survives her of the home.
She is also survived by two children, Chris and wife, Carol Oneslager of Wichita, Kans.; Don and wife, Kelly Oneslager of Dearing, Kans.; grandchildren, Olivia and Sophia Oneslager of Wichita, Kans.; Hailey and Kori Oneslager of Dearing, Kans.; stepdaughter, Janelle and husband, Gwin Greenwood of Chelsea, Okla.; step grandchildren, Twilya Lynn Porter of Tecumseh, Okla.; Heather Nicole Parsons of Moore, Okla.: step daughter-in-law, Michelle Field of Moore, Okla.; step great-grandson, Coby Conway of Tecumseh, Okla.; and close cousin, Vera VanBlaricom of Berryville, Ark.; and cousin-in-law, Judy Showatter, wife of the late Don Showatter; and a host of other family and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Vera Allen.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating the service. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole.

Karen Parsons
Karen "Gail" Parsons age 70 of Meeker, Okla. passed away in her home on May 18, 2014 after a short struggle with cancer.
She was born Feb. 19, 1944 to Bonnie Hathcock and Leon Pennington.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie and Leon; and a very special step-dad who raised her, Pete Hathcock; one sister, Patsy Stubblefield.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gary Parsons of the home; three sons, Howard and wife JoBeth Parsons of Earlsboro, Okla.; Gary Parsons Jr. of Shawnee, Okla.; Jimmie Parsons of Seminole, Okla.; two daughters, Beth and husband Randy Garton of Shawnee, Okla.; Darleeta and husband David Marchant of Meeker, Okla.; one sister, Terri and husband Herb Comeaux of Slidell, La.; one sister-in-law Cheri and Richard Ward of Tecumseh, Okla. and one brother-in-law John Hannifan of Shawnee, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday May 21 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Services will be held at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 11 a.m.

Tanner Jackson Paschal, infant son of Melissa Paschal and Jerod Marshall, passed away Friday, Oct. 10. He was born Oct. 10 in Ada, Okla.
Survivors include parents, sister and brothers, Taylor Campbell, Tahlequah, Okla., Michael Campbell, Tahlequah, Okla., Zachary Paschal, Riley Paschal, and Jacob Sauter all of Wewoka; grandparents Lahunta Paschal and Sandy Marshall.
Preceding Tanner in death are his grandfather Gary Faulkner and Jerry Dwight Marshall.

Peggy Paschall
Services for Margaret Louise "Peggy" Kessler Paschall, 70, of Ada, are 10 a.m. Friday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Father John Norvell will officiate.
Ms. Paschall died Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at a local nursing home.
She was born July 17, 1943, in Topeka, Kan., to Virgil and Lucille Musgrave Kessler.
She graduated from South Central High School in Greenwich, Ohio, and moved to Ada in 1970.
She received a Bachelor’s degree from East Central University and Master’s Degrees in Deaf Education and Library Science.
She taught nine years at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf and later was the Elementary Librarian at Wilson Elementary in Seminole, Okla., for 25 years.
Ms. Paschall was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church where she had served as Director of the Alter Guild. She was a member of the Vestry and a graduate of Education for Ministry. She was a member of the Fortnightly Study Club, the Retired Teachers Association and the Tanti Study Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Taylor and her husband Stephen of Sasakwa; a son, James Paschalll and his wife Lori of Kingwood, Tex.; her grandchildren, Stephanie Kinneberg and husband Bryan of Sandy, Utah, Vanessa Wesley and husband Clay, Noble, Okla., Matthew McCreary, Ada, Okla., Jennifer Reyner and husband Lucas, McAlester, Okla., Chris Taylor and wife Cheyenne, Sulphur, Okla., Brandon Paschall and Anthony Paschall, both of Kingwood, Tex.; her great-grandchildren, Gavin Kinneburg and Ella Kinneburg, both of Sandy, Utah, and Ava Wesley and Lane Wesley, both of Noble; a brother, Ronald Kessler and his wife Lori of Maine; two nieces, Tammy Maclean of Maine and Rochelle Harris of Ohio; and two nephews, Eric Kessler of Maine and Robert Haines of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Haines of Greenwich, Ohio.
Bearers will be Dan Church, Fred Pfeffer, Angus McFarlane, Guy Milner, Rob Newcomer, Chris Kenney, Tom Criswell, Lloyd Drush and Randy Taylor.
Honorary bearers will be the Staff of Ada Care Center.

Brigid Payne
Brigid Davis Payne, 34, resident of Dale, Okla. died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014 in Shawnee, Okla.
Services are planned for Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Northridge Church of Christ in Shawnee. Matthew Cobb will officiate the services. She will be laid to rest at Dale Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. to receive friends.

She was born Oct. 16, 1979 in Shawnee to parents Floyd Davis and Deanna Jesse.
She was a graduate of Dale High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from St. Gregory’s University.
On May 13, 2006 she married Jeremy Payne in an outdoor wedding at their home.
She was an auditor at the Grand Casino.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Benjamin Jesse and Floyd A. Davis.
She is survived by her husband, Jeremy Payne; children, Caitlin, Benjamin, and Owin Payne; her parents, Floyd Davis and Deanna Jesse; her brother, Rick Davis; nephew Ben Davis; sister and brother-in-law, Jana and Lance Phelps, their children, Jackson, Riley and Cash Phelps; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Artie and Jerri Payne; her brother-in-law and his wife, Justin and Christie Payne; grandmothers, Betty Harjo and Pearlie Davis; grandparents-in-law, Jon and Delma McCowan and Jeanne and Tom Littrell.
She is also survived by aunt and uncle, Denise and Mike Johnson; cousins, Crissy and Jason Jarrell, and Kaylee and Chase Townley; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Gaye Payne
Gaye Payne, 91, longtime Seminole resident, died Sunday, July 20, 2014 in Seminole, Okla.
Gaye was born Oct. 13, 1922 in Round Prairie Area near Allen, Okla., to Willie Mae (Barnett) and William Jackson Moore.
Gaye grew up in the Round Prairie area near Allen, Okla. and attended school there; she married Ray Payne on Aug. 13, 1939 in Gerty, Okla.
They moved to Seminole in 1950 and made their home here.
Gaye worked at Blue Bell and retired from Wrangler Corporation after more than 30 years of service in Quality Control.
Gaye was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole, Okla., where she was active in WMU.
She was a great person, who loved her family and took very good care of them.
She was very generous and a wonderful Christian lady.
She was an accomplished seamstress, with much detail in making dresses for all occasions and even made prom dresses and graduation dresses for area girls.
Gaye is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Brenda Payne of Earlsboro, Okla.; one half-sister Jean Kimble of Bakersfield, Calif.; two grandchildren Brad Payne and Stacey Payne Miller and her husband John; two great-grandchildren Alex Payne and Analea Payne, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ray Payne on Jan. 9, 1995; a brother, Cecil Moore; and a sister, Velma Wilson.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Okla. with Marvin Kehl officiating at the service.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked donations be made to the charity of your choice or the First Baptist Church in Seminole.
