Leona (Hill) Postoak passed away in Austin, Tex. on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at the age of 73 years.
Leona was the daughter of Frank and Mandy (Moses) Hill, born on June 27, 1940, in Wewoka, Okla.
She was brought up and attended schools in the Wewoka area, and was a graduate of Wewoka High School.
Leona lived for many years in Wewoka, then moved to Oklahoma City, where she worked at various nursing homes as a kitchen aide.
She returned to Wewoka and lived there for some fifteen years, until she moved because of health issues to be near her daughter in Austin, Tex.
Leona enjoyed reading, and loved the outdoors and sports, particularly volleyball and softball.
She was a member of the Hilltop Presbyterian Church in Wewoka, but enjoyed visiting all the churches in the area.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mandy Hill; one son, Russell Postoak, in 1989; one brother, Franklin Hill, and one sister, Jennie Trevino.
She is survived by three children, Georgetta Postoak of Austin, Tex., Lorena Postoak of Oklahoma City, and Cornelius Garcia Postoak and wife Loretta of Austin, Tex.; seven grandchildren, Angela Paula of Schertz, Tex., Phillip Moreno of Universal City, Tex., Latonya Lopez of Oklahoma City, Romeo Naron of Boynton Beach, Fla., Jordan Szuts of North Carolina, Preston Postoak and Priscilla Postoak, both of Sallisaw, Okla.; nine great grandchildren; three brothers, Charlie Hill of Chandler, Walter Hill of Wewoka, and Mickey Hill of Seminole; three sisters, Imogene Carpitcher of Oklahoma City, Hilly Gunville of Seminole, and Edna Harjo of Shawnee; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, 2 p.m. at New Hope Church north of Wewoka, and Leona will be laid to rest in Moses Cemetery south of Wewoka. Rev. Jimsey Harjo and Rev. Leon Postoak are the officiating ministers.
Pallbearers are Timothy Hill, J. D. Hill, Jonathan Hill, Kevin Gunville, Nicholas Gunville, and Russell Gunville.
Honorary pallbearers are David Postoak, Richard Trevino, Jason Trevino, Aaron Hill, Joel Hill, and Michael Trevino.
Services are under direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Holdenville.
Louise Potter
Louise (Stewart) Potter, age 49 years passed Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in Tulsa, Okla.
She was born June 25, 1964 in Wewoka, Okla. to the late Albert Stewart and Esther Holata.
She was raised by Katie Stewart.
Louise was a homemaker and a member of Spring Baptist Church.
Wake service is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist Church.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2014 at Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist Church with Pastor Houston Tiger and Pastor J.R. Wisdom officiating.
Preceding Louise in death are her parents; husband, Gary Potter; sisters, Rosetta Haro, and Josephine Stewart; brothers, Vincent and Jay Harjo, and Robert Wolf Jr.
Survivors include her children Joshua Coon of Shawnee, Louisa Sugg Coon of Okemah, Moses Malone Coon of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Melissa Potter of Shawnee; sisters Betty Proctor of Depew, Okla., Katherine Davis, Minneapolis, Mich., Salinda Davis of Stroud, Patricia Hill of Depew, Susie Smith of Oklahoma City, Okla., Esther Harjo of Seminole, and Lillie Mae Peteet of Moore, Okla. and a host of other relatives and friends.

Harold Poulter
Harold Wilson Poulter, 82, longtime Seminole resident died, Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 in Seminole, Okla.
Harold was born Sept. 10, 1932 in Ada, Okla., to Ruby (Odom) and Wilson Poulter.
Harold was a longtime employee and supervisor in the cutting department at Wrangler Corporation here in Seminole, Okla.
He was member of the Elks Lodge and the Seminole Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Congregation Methodist Church on Good Hope in Seminole.
Harold served his country in the U.S. Army and the National Guard.
Harold married Sue Herring on April 6, 1968 in Stonewall, Okla.
They were married for 46 years and Sue preceded him in death on Sept. 18, 2014.
Harold is survived by three sons, Mark Poulter, of Moore, Okla., Brian Poulter of Cleveland, Tex. and Richard Poulter of Seminole, Okla., one daughter Melinda Ewing of Seminole, Okla. His grandchildren Amy Bateman, Cara Bateman, Angela Walker, Kylee Poulter, Traci Poulter, Dylan Poulter, and Faith Poulter and his great grandchildren Rylinn Poulter, Braden Poulter, Chelsea Walker and Ryan Harris. He is also survived by his brother David Poulter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sue on September 18, 2014, a daughter Leslie Bateman, his grandson Brandon Poulter, and brother C.A. Poulter.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 17, 2014 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, with burial following at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Matt Riffle will officiate at the service.
Casket bearers will be Michael Parker, Chris Combs, Ronald Davidson, Doug Hatton, JR Pack, and Justin Maxwell.

Karen Poulter
Karen "Sue" Poulter, 70, lifelong Seminole resident passed away, Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014 at her home in Seminole.
Sue was born May 15, 1944 in Prague, Okla. to Edith (Atkins) and Clifford Herring.
Sue was raised in the Strother area of Seminole county.
She attended Seminole Public Schools and graduated from Seminole High School.
Sue was a bookkeeper, working for Jerry Scott Drilling Co., Oklahoma Pipe Sales, Hooten Oil and Trico Drilling.
Sue loved to read, go fishing, loved her grandchildren and shopping, and she always found something for everyone when she went.
Sue was a member of the Congregation Methodist Church on Good Hope Road in Seminole.
Sue married Harold Poulter on April 6, 1968 in Stonewall, Okla.
Sue is survived by her husband of 46 years, Harold Poulter of the home; her son, Mark Poulter of Moore, Okla.; stepsons, Brian Poulter of Cleveland, Tex. and Richard Poulter of Seminole, Okla.; step daughter Melinda Ewing of Seminole, Okla.; four sisters, Shirley Thornton of Seminole, Nina Shepherd of Seminole, Alta Winn of Paden, Okla. and Cheryl Young of McLoud, Okla.; seven grandchildren, Amy Bateman, Cara Bateman, Angela Walker, Kylee Poulter, Traci Poulter, Dylan Poulter, Faith Poulter and her great grandchildren, Rylinn Poulter, Braden Poulter, Chelsea Walker and Ryan Harris.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie Bateman and grandson, Branden Poulter.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 22, 2014 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with burial following at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole. Rev. Dewayne Jackson will officiate at the service.

Sandy Powell
Sandy Powell, 66, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014 in Oklahoma City.
Wake Services were held 6:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014 at Horseshoe Bend in Shawnee.
Burial will be 8:00 a.m., Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 at Clark Family Cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
Douglas Price
Douglas Mack Price, 72, longtime Seminole resident, died Monday, October 20, 2014 in Seminole, Okla.
Douglas was born July 18, 1942 in Lawton, Okla. to Irene (Taylor) and Otto Price.
Douglas was a Seminole Police Officer during the 1970’s.
He also worked as a repairman, car salesman and a Nurse’s Aide in nursing homes in Salina, Kans.
He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and then in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Douglas moved to Seminole from Salina, Kans. several years ago and always loved to go fishing in his spare time.
He married Janice Heins on February 3, 1981 in Blackwell, Okla.
He is survived by his wife Janice Price of Seminole, Okla., His step-sons James Cochran and his wife Liz of New York, Reynold Cochran III, two step-daughters Sandra Cochran and her husband David and Patricia Cochran.
He was preceded in death by his parents Otto Price and Irene Driskill, sister Barbara Iverson and a brother Jerry Price.
No memorial service has been planned at this time.

Marilyn Price
Services for Marilyn Lourinda Price, 71, Ada, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel in Ada. Rev. Steve Garner will officiate and burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery.
Mrs. Price died Friday, April 25, 2014, at an Ada care center.
She was born Feb. 7, 1943, to Howard and Norma Wilson Milburn at Trousdale, Okla.
She attended school at St. Louis High School and was a homemaker.
She returned to the Ada area in 1996 from Tulsa.
Mrs. Price was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Price and Charlie Price were married July 15, 1961.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie, of the home; two sons, Jerry Don Price and wife Karen of Ada, and Randell Price of McAlester; two daughters, Teresa Buretta of Ada, and Tami Miller and husband Johnny of Ada; grandchildren, Debora Buretta, Joey Buretta, Mari Buretta, Charlie Buretta, Victoria Buretta, Kali Miller, Jillian Miller, Gwenlee Miller, Paceon Miller, Tristan Price, Katy Price and Ruby Price; one great-grandson, Alex Buretta; one brother, Jerry Milburn, Asher; and one sister, Faye Ann Jackson, Copperas Cove, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Bearers are Robert Vick, Calvin Nolen, J.D. Thys, Jim Parks, Rick Stettler, Tommy Cooper and Lowry Allen.

Gladys Pruitt
Gladys Pruitt, 99, long-time resident of Konawa, Okla. died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Seminole Care and Rehab Center in Seminole, Okla.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday, April 4 at the First Baptist Church of Konawa. Burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery. Rev. Jim McMillan will officiate.
Pallbearers are Chris Sharp, Jim Sharp, Marvin Patterson, Robert Roulston, Jimmy Tooley, and Darrell Mackey.
The family will receive guests at Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa on Thursday night from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
She was born Oct. 19, 1914, in Madill, Okla. to John T. and Annie Hargis.
She graduated Madill High School and married Robert Pruitt in Oklahoma City on Sept. 20, 1933.
She is survived by one son-in-law, Floyd Clayton of Konawa; one grandson; and one great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pruitt; her parents, John and Annie Hargis; and only child, Katherine Clayton.
