Yvonna Oneta Webster, 79, longtime Seminole resident died Monday, July 14, 2014 in Seminole.
She born Oct. 23, 1934 in Oklahoma City, Okla. to Faye (Pyle) and Eugene Victor Miller.
She moved here 46 years ago from Derby Acres, Calif. and opened Neta’s Beauty Shop she owned and operated until she retired in 1997.
She married Wesley Eugene Webster on Nov. 20, 1949 in El Reno, Okla.
She is survived by her two sons, Otis Webster of North Carolina and Charles Webster of Seminole, Okla.; one sister Cathy Barnett of Taft, Calif. and five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers; and one sister, whom was her identical twin.
Funeral services are planned for 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Bowlegs, Okla. with Pat Coffey, officiating at the service. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Chuck Webster, Mike Webster, Robert Browder, Monte Barnhill, John Choate and Steve Hancock.
Honorary bearers will be L.K. Wright, Art Coffey, Tom Barnett, Wade Steele, Dennis Hardin and Rick Leahy.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Richard Wells
Richard (Dick) Lee Wells former Wewoka resident passed away from this life Nov. 5, 2014 in Amarillo, Tex.
Funeral services are pending with Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home in Wetumka, Okla.
Marcella Wemhoff
Marcella M. (Kobza) Wemhoff passed to her Lord on November 11, 2014 in Papillion.
Visitation was Sunday, Nov. 16th, after 3:00 p.m. with Vigil Service at 5:00 p.m. at Bethany Funeral Home (8201 Harrison St., La Vista).
Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Nov. 17th, 10:00 a.m. St. Columbkille Catholic Church (Papillion). Interment Calvary Cemetery (Omaha).
Memorial donations may be made to St. Columbkille Parish or Mount Michael Benedictine School.
Marc was born January 23, 1930 in Bruno to James Vaclav and Frances (Milostni) Kobza.
She had two sisters, Mary (Herman) Stanislav and Blanche (Theodore) Sabata and one brother, Jerry Kobza.
Her parents and siblings preceded her in death.
She married Gerard P. Wemhoff on June 10, 1964 and they recently celebrated fifty wonderful years of marriage.
Marc and Gerard had two boys, Mark (Donella) of Seminole, Okla. and Doug (Dee) of Kansas City, Mo.
Marc was proud of her Czechoslovakian heritage and she was known for her cooking.
All friends and family who entered her kitchen were reminded, "Kiss the Cook, She’s Czech."
She graduated from District 46 Country School, David City Public High School and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, B.A. Nursing. She worked at the VA Medical Center in Omaha as a surgical room nurse for 33 years, retiring in 1996.
She loved her grandchildren (Nicole, Emily, Jon and Colton) and enjoyed traveling to and cheering at their sporting events, and cooking for them, especially baking their favorite pie.
She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements are under the care of Bethany Funeral Home.
Gerald W. Wheeler
Gerald W. Wheeler was born Albert Wheeler and Elizabeth Cree on August 10, 1936 in St. Regis Hospital on the Mohawk Reservation in New York.
He passed away on Monday, February 10th 2014, at Southwest Medical Center, Oklahoma City, Okla.
Wheeler was an Air Force Veteran who was Honorably Discharged.
Wheeler is survived by ex-wife Armetta Tiger, daughters Sharon Wheeler, Patricia Cheney, and Rhonda Wheeler, and sons Jerry Wheeler and Paul Wheeler. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Wheeler is preceded in death by his parents, as well as one sister Shirley Lazore and one brother, Richard Wheeler.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 15th at 2:00 p.m. at Hitchite Presbyterian Church near Strothers.
James Wheeler
James Ike Wheeler, 84, longtime Seminole/Earlsboro resident, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 at his home.
James was born Jan. 16, 1930 in Cyril, Okla. to Ruby (Burcon) and Alexander Wheeler.
James came to the Seminole area 30 years ago from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
James worked for Beard Oil Company as a superintendent for over 30 years.
He is survived by his son, Albert Keith Wheeler of Earlsboro, Okla. and daughter Patty L. Joyce of Largo, Fla., one brother Wilburn Wheeler of Anadarko, Okla., four sisters; Lois Loston of Moore, Okla., Dorothy Benton of Lawton, Okla., Vivian Garner and Laverne Riddle both of Shawnee, Okla.; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with, military honors.
Burial will follow at the Cement City Cemetery, Cement, Okla. at 2:30 p.m.

Buford White
Buford White was born on Feb. 10, 1927 in Seminole, Okla. to William Sam and Irene (Brown) White.
He died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 in a Temple, Tex. hospital.
He attended Seminole schools and graduated from Seminole High School in 1944 as a Valedictorian of his class.
He graduated from Seminole Junior College in 1946 and then attended the University of Oklahoma from 1947-1948.
In 1946 he enlisted in the U.S. Maritime Service and attained the rank of Ensign.
He served in the Naval Reserve the following 17 years.
He started his career in the building material business when he was 10 years old with his Dad, becoming Assistant Manager at Home Lumber Company in Seminole, Okla. in 1949.
In 1949 he became the Manager of Chestnut Lumber Company in Holdenville, Okla.
In 1951, he advanced to Manager of the larger Bison Lumber Co. in Shawnee.
In 1964 he decided to open his own lumber company in Shawnee, losing the entire business to fire in 1971, then rebuilding and relocating to the present Buford White Lumber Co. location.
He married Myra Watson and later to Linda Tyler.
He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, The Oklahoma Lumberman’s Assoc., Shawnee Chamber of Commerce, Lion’s Club, Shawnee Golf and Country Club, Shawnee Toastmasters, Shawnee Masonic Lodge (32nd degree-McAlester Consistory), India Shrine Temple.
He is survived by wife, Linda White of the home; daughters, Marci White and Jennifer Busch of Edmond, Michelle and husband, Jimmy Nickles and grandson, Austin of Shawnee; grandsons, Sean and Cody Bridges of Grove, Okla., Eric Bridges of Miami, Okla.; great grandson, Brayden Bridges of Miami, Okla.; mother-in-law, Dorothy Tyler of Shawnee; brother-in-law, Paul Tyler and wife Carol Ann of Hot Springs, Ark.; nieces, Linda and husband Joe Wade of Ft. Worth, Tex., Karen and husband Dr. Michael Brownlee of New York City, N.Y. and many other nieces, nephews and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Cynthia Bridges; a son, Marc White; and three brothers, Herbert "Sam" White, Arthur and Leon White.
Services will be held in Raley Chapel, on the campus of Oklahoma Baptist University, in Shawnee on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Kris Steele and Rev. Ben Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation with family will be Thursday evening at 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Walker Funeral Service.

Michael White
Michael Hines "Mike" White, long time Seminole resident passed away, Saturday May 17, 2014 at his home. H was 60 years old.
Mike was born on Sept. 29, 1954 in Seminole, Okla. to parents, Paul E. White and Sally Ann (Hines) White.
Mike attended Seminole High School where he was in the high school band and was the drummer in the Pep Band.
After graduating from Seminole High School in 1972, he attended Seminole State College, Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma University.
Mike was a computer programmer in Texas before he moved back to Seminole, some 15 years ago.
He was currently the plant manager of the family business, C&J Trucks in Seminole.
Mike is survived by his father, Paul White and step mother Pat White of Seminole, Okla.; four sons, Jeff Alan White, Sean Gregory White, Brandon Chase White and Michael Christopher White all of Texas; one brother, Mark White and his wife Lori of Shawnee, Okla.; one sister, Paula Daniel and her husband Jim of Cromwell, Okla.; six grandchildren, Riley, Sydney, Reagan Muehleisen and Halea Dawn White, Andrew Gregory White and Brooklyn Warren White.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Sally White.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens of Seminole with Amy Bussie officiating.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Katrina Whitfield
Katrina Larraine Factor Whitfield, 48, resident of Shawnee, Okla. died Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 at a Shawnee hospital.
Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Temple of Praise in Shawnee.
Burial will follow at the Factor Family cemetery in Wewoka, Okla.
Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.
Levi Whitson
Levi Whitson, 89, Bay Point, Calif. resident died Monday, March 24, 2014 at his home in California.
He was born July 25, 1924 in Seminole, Okla. to Loyd F. Whitson and Leavonia (Alexander) Whitson.
After attending school at Bowlegs and working on a farm in Iowa, Whitson went on to join the United States Navy.
He was stationed somewhere in the Pacific on the Battleship USS Tennessee.
He was honorably discharged on Oct. 3, 1945 as Seaman First Class, USNR.
Following his service, he went on to work for a civilian oil company as an underwater welder until his retirement.
He is survived by five sisters, Leona Burns of Borger, Tex., Lennie Knight of Salem, Ore., Laura Jackson of Leesville, La., Lillian Stafford of Bowlegs, Okla., and Loloa Green of Seminole; one son, Rex Lee Whitson of Houston, Tex.
He is preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, Leon Whitson.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Thrace Cemetery in Bowlegs, Okla. Rev. Roy Robertson officiated the service.
Services were under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
