In addition, in the early 1960s, he also pursued entrepreneurship by owning, leasing and operating service stations in the Seminole area, mainly the Hilltop Service Station, located on Highway 377 in Seminole.

Working two jobs at a time was not unusual for Frank to provide for his family.

In 1964, Frank also became a civilian employee of Tinker Air Force Base.

He later sold his service station and continued his employment with Tinker Field for the next twenty-six years, retiring on Oct. 31, 1990.

Frank always enjoyed buying and selling real estate and taking care of his farm and horses.

Being unpretentious, his favored his old pickups and his old red barn built before statehood.

He worked hard to teach his family that work was fun and everything in moderation.

However, family and grandchildren were his highest priority as a Father and grandfather.

Frank and his wife’s home was constantly the "fun gathering place" for family, extended family, children and grandchildren, enjoying the animals, fishing, horseback riding, swimming, playing pool, watching OU and OSU football or listening to music on the juke box.

In retirement, Frank and his beloved wife enjoyed traveling, camping, dancing, horseback riding and grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Todd Green, formerly of Warren Clinic of Stillwater for his loving care over the last three years.

In addition, they would like to thank the staffs of Stillwater Medical Center, Renaissance, Sterling House, Westhaven Nursing Home and Good Shepherd Hospice of Stillwater.

We appreciate his granddaughter "Missy" for working as staff his first year in assisted living to help Dad make the transition.
