Walter Leroy Adams, 64, was born Oct. 24, 1947 in Lyons, KS.
He was the son of Walter O. and Helen M. (Belong) Adams.
He passed away suddenly at his residence in Phoenix, AZ on Oct. 2, 2012.
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, Seminole on Oct. 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
Walter graduated in 1965 from Lyons High School, Lyons, KS.
He attended Kansas State University, Sterling College and Oklahoma State University.
He had an extensive career as a hydraulic engineer, and then later as a salesman.
Walter married Melva J. Smith on Jan. 29, 1969. Together, they had a daughter, Jennifer Marie Adams.
Then, Walter married Linda L. Powers on Sept. 24, 1986. They were married for 23 years until she passed away in 2009.
Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Adams (2009), mother, Helen Adams (1966), father, Walter Adams (2003), grandparents, Roy Belong (1962), Ruth Belong (1995), Walter M. Adams, (1977), and Willie Adams (1994).
Walter is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Marie (Adams) Knudsen and her husband, David of Phoenix, AZ; step-son, Jon Powers and his wife, Sarah of Wooster, OH; grandchildren, Andrew Sanburn of Phoenix, AZ; Jacob Knudsen of Phoenix, AZ, Stella Powers of Wooster, OH, Marek Powers of Wooster, OH; brothers, Gary Adams of Seminole, Eric Adams of Gilletter, WY; step-mother, Eula Sanders of Ft. Worth, TX; step-sister, Renna Hanlon of Paris, TX; step-brother, Mickey McBride of San Antonio, TX; aunts, Carol Forrest of Seminole, JoAnn Mathis of Bedford, TX, Clovis Quijada of Dessert Valley, AZ; uncles, Bill Belong of Poway, CA, Carl Adams of Chase, KS; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Robert Adkisson
Robert "Bob" Brian Adkisson was born on March 3, 1956, in Oklahoma City, and departed this life on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, in Prague at the age of 56.
Bob, the son of Robert and Francis (Little) Adkisson, was a resident of Prague.
He graduated from Prague High School with the class of 1974.
He married Karen M. Quary on July 29, 1975 in Prague.
Bob worked as a dispatcher for Tiger Trucks.
His parents preceded Bob in death.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Karen Adkisson of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Brian, Jr., and Jenny Adkisson; sisters, Stacia and David Huggins of Modesto, CA, Sherri and Charlie Smith of Wellston, Sharla and Randy Seaton of Sparks; and three grandchildren, Haley, Jacob and Bobby "Little Bob" Adkisson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Burial is private.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
Albert Aldridge
Albert Thomas "Toby" Aldridge, 69, longtime Seminole resident died Thursday, April 12, 2012 in Wewoka.
He was born July 26, 1942 in Prague to Ellis and Carmaleta (Payne) Aldridge.
He graduated from Bowlegs High School in 1960.
He worked for several years at the OG&E plant in Konawa and the Goff Corporation in Seminole.
He is survived by two sons, Keith Aldridge of Seminole and Jimmy Aldridge of Konawa; two daughters, Vickie Peters of Edmond and Tracey Smith of Carroll, Texas; three brothers, Delbert Aldridge of Shawnee, Gary Aldridge of Cushing and Jay Aldridge of Seminole and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gilbert Aldridge.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012 at the Church of Christ at 12040 Highway 99 North in Seminole. Arpoika Daniels will officiate at the service.
Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole is in charge of arrangements.
Eugene Aldridge
Gene was born in Wewoka on Dec. 23, 1931, to J. Bart and Marjory McNemer Aldridge.
Wewoka is the capital of the Seminole Nation and Gene was a proud member of the tribe.
After graduating from Wewoka High School, he attended Westminster College in Fulton, MO for one year and then transferred to the University of Oklahoma where he served as chaplain and choral director of SAE Fraternity.
He received a degree in Geology and, upon graduation from OU, joined Geophysical Service Inc., a subsidiary of Texas Instruments.
He was then called into the U.S. Air Force where he served as a Personnel Officer for Connally AFB near Waco, TX, and was a member of the base basketball and volleyball teams. His volleyball team twice reached the World Air Force Championship Tournament, winning third and second place in 1955 and 1956.
In 1959, he married Martha Reid of Woodville, TX. A time that Gene remembered as "the best day’s work I ever did".
They settled in Richardson, TX in 1960 and Gene began working at TI as its first Corporate Risk Manager.
After leaving TI in 1969, Gene became owner of Metro Insurance Services, a Dallas-based commercial insurance agency.
In 1960, Gene and Martha joined the First United Methodist Church of Richardson where he served several terms on the church board and was a member of the Building Committee that directed construction of the church site on Belt Line Rd.
He served on the Nominating Committee, and was a long-time member of the church choir. Gene also sang the bass lead in his church’s presentations of "Amahl and the Night Visitors."
Throughout his life, Gene was involved with affairs of the University of Oklahoma. For over 30 years he was active in the OU Club of Dallas.
In 1973, he founded the "Sooner Club of Dallas" and served as its first president. He was a charter member of "The Associates" – a private funding organization for OU.
He was elected to, and served a 3-year term on the OU Alumni Board of Directors.
In 1974, Gene began coaching neighborhood youth basketball. He found this task to be so rewarding that he continued teaching the sport at Prairie Creek Elementary over the next 15 seasons.
His "Prairie Creek Pacers" won five city championships. Gene developed basketball skills for many Richardson youngsters who played middle and high school basketball.
His driveway with court markings and lighting for night play was a long-time gathering place for Richardson young people.
In 1980, he served as president of the J. J. Pearce High School Booster Club.
Gene left this world on Oct. 29, 2012.
Gene is survived by his loving wife, Martha Reid Aldridge; sister, Marilyn Aldridge Harkins of Raymore, MO; daughter, Ruth Ann Aldridge of Richardson, TX; son and daughter-in-law, J. Bart and Deborah Lyle Aldridge of Richardson, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Philip Reid and Jenny Jeter Aldridge of Austin, TX; and seven grandchildren, Reid, Evelyn, Libby, Drew, Blake, Philip and John Aldridge.
Additional surviving family members include one nephew, one niece, three great-nephews and one great niece, all of the Kansas City, MO area.

Charles Anderson
Charles Eugene Anderson, 71, of Wewoka died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012 at the Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at the Dewey Cemetery with Pastor Russell Ryker of the Hilltop Family Life Center in Wewoka officiating and directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
A memorial has been established and those who wish may send their contributions to the Hilltop Family Life Center, P.O. Box 776, Wewoka, Oklahoma, 74884.
Anderson was born in Bartlesville on Sept. 13, 1941 to Willie C. (Bill) Anderson and Dorothy M. (Watkins) Anderson.
He grew up in the area north of Copan and graduated from Copan High School.
He was employed with Reda Pump Co and a machinist and later as an inspector until his retirement in the early 1990’s.
He then relocated to Bowie, Texas and then Wewoka, for the past several years.
Anderson is survived by one daughter, April Rashell Smith of Bartlesville; two sons, Charlie Eugene Anderson Jr. of Copan and James Gary Anderson of Independence, Kansas; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Lucy Anderson
Lucy Elizabeth (Reichard) Anderson, 94
Lucy passed away Tuesday morning June 12, 2012 at Holdenville at the age of 94.
Elizabeth will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her passion to her family and the field of dance.
She was born Aug. 27, 1917 in Paola, Kansas to the late Mamie Marie Reichard and Walter Valentine Riechard.
Elizabeth was a 1935 graduate of East Wichita High School.
She then traveled as a professional dancer, performing across the country.
She was a well known accomplished dancer and has appeared on the stage many times.
She eventually opened a dance studio in Wichita, Kansas where she enjoyed teaching her students ball room dancing.
Elizabeth was a devout Christian who attended church regularly and truly enjoyed painting, collecting antiques, jewelry and playing games with her family.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Anderson is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford G. Anderson who passed away May 27, 1996; one sister, Drucilla Riechard; one brother, Al Reichard and stepdaughter, Janet Anderson.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by one son, Chris Anderson of Wewoka; three daughters, Lynn Stephan and her husband Don Stephan of Wichita, Kansas, Stevie Ladd and her husband Rob of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Judy Fechtner of Round Lake Beach, Illinois.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, Christopher Anderson, Michael Anderson, Holly (Anderson) Hawks, Collin Anderson, Marc Techtner, Chloe Ladd and three great-grandchildren, Haley Hawks, Lucas Fechtner and Payton Fechtner.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Wewoka with Pastor Jay Badry.
Memorial service is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Stella Anderson
Stella Marie Anderson, 88, died on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2012 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas.
She was born Oct. 24, 1925 in Clemscott, Oklahoma to Ora and Francis Matlock Masters.
A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1962 moving from Satanta, Kansas, she was the Office Manager for the local Cable TV company for 22 years before retiring.
On Oct. 24, 1950, she married Kenneth R. Anderson in Ozark, Arkansas.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth R. Anderson of Scott City, Kansas; one son, Steve Anderson of Cheyenne, Wyoming; one daughter, Lois Anderson of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Betty Sims of Seminole; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, John L. Anderson; and one brother, Odell Masters.
Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012. Rev. Dennis Carter officiated the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scott County Hospital or American Heart Association.
Graveside services will be at Little Cemetery in Seminole at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012.
