Minnie "Lorene" Bennett, 78, of Edmond died Dec. 17, 2012 in Edmond.
She was born Nov. 13, 1934 to Robert F. and Hannah D. Myers.
She was a 1952 graduate of Eldorado High School.
She worked and later retired from Edmond Memorial Hospital where she served as an LPN.
She is survived by her son, Gary Bennett of Guthrie, and daughter, Saundra Bingham of Vamoosa; brother, Harold Myers of Wash.; and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Densel and Dale Myers; and sisters, Lavryl Parks and Dora Beth Freeman.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with a graveside service taking place at 4:00 pm at the Eldorado Cemetery in Eldorado.
Donations may be made to the Edmond E.A.R.C., Hope Center or Senior Citizen’s Center.
Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home of Edmond.
Donald Berry
Donald Ray Berry, 55, of Shawnee died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012.
He was born May 8, 1955 in Seminole.
He was employed by BJ Hughes and TDK for 27 years. He was employed by Shawnee High School at the time of his death.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by brothers, Sammy Berry of Wewoka, Kenneth Berry of Lima, Benjamin Berry of Seminole, Earl Berry of Shawnee and Carl Berry of Spencer; and sisters, Jackie Stroud of Wewoka, Wanda Jones, Cora Brown and Deaner Berry, all of Oklahoma City.
A private family memorial service is planned.
Arrangements were under the direction of Myers Mortuary in Wewoka.
Robert Bishop Jr.
Robert Lewis "Bobby" Bishop, Jr., 47 year-old Seminole, resident died Tuesday, Jan 10, 2012 in Seminole.
He was born Dec 31, 1964 in Lebanon, Oregon to parents Teresa A. (Baxter) Bishop and Robert Lewis Bishop, Sr.
Bobby graduated from Sweet Home High School in Sweet Home, Oregon in 1983.
He went on to work several jobs including being a truck driver, electrical work and most recently he worked for a landscaping business.
Survivors include his father, Robert Lewis Bishop, Sr. of Seminole; his mother, Teresa A. (Baxter) Bishop of Boone, Colorado; two sisters, Audra Reeves of Boone, Colorado and Jennifer Bishop of Sedalia, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
The family will receive friends at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole on Thursday, Jan 12, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Mary Biswell
Mary Francis Biswell, 70, of Duncan, formerly of Shawnee died Sunday, June 3, 2012 in Duncan.
She was born Dec. 12, 1941 in Konawa.
Graveside services will be held at the Wanette Cemetery on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Catherine Payne and Rev. Roy Robertson officiating.
Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca White of Duncan; three sons, Johnny Parker of Comanche, Bobby Parker of Duncan and David Parker of Sioux Fall, ND; two sisters, Catherine Payne of Wanette and Nancy Gordon of Seminole; three brothers, Billy Hill of Seminole, James Hill of Bethel Acres and Kenneth Hill of Seminole; five grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Edgar Black
Edgar Black, a former Seminole county resident for 42 years passed away Dec 29, 2011 at his home in Blackwell, Oklahoma at the age of 73.
Edgar was born in Lima, Oklahoma on May 5, 1938 to parents, Edgar Maurice Black and Lucille (Thomas) Hoglan.
Edgar had a great love for his mother and possessed a high moral standard.
Edgar served in the United States Air Force after gradating from High School.
Edgar was a member of the Bethel Pentecostal Church of Wewoka, Oklahoma and a Sooner fan.
Edgar was as estimator for Rice Painting and Sandblasting and a self employed building contractor for EEB Construction.
Being an extremely talented and a self taught man, Edgar loved working with his hands building and drawing house plans.
Edgar was a member of the Oklahoma Archaeological Society where he held a honorable position in the organization.
He loved to hunt arrowheads, which he possessed a large collection that he had found in Seminole county.
He was a member of the Builders of America Association, Elk Lodge # 1347 of Blackwell, Oklahoma.
Edgar is survived by two sons, Edgar D. Black of Oklahoma City, Christopher Black of Temecula, California, two daughters, Katrina Hicks of Cheney, Kansas and Yvonne Matthews of Ponca City. Edgar is also survived by one brother, Tommy Black of Wewoka, and one sister, Patricia Cokely of Seminole. He is also survived by grandchildren, Peary Robertson, Matthew Robertson, Rachel Farris, Stephanie Cain, Kasey Hall, Ryan Black, Chelsea Black, Courtney Black, Kayla Black, Amy Mooring and Ashly McCoy. Grand grandchildren, Manning, Myles and Mattie Sue and great great grandchildren, Aubri, Trooper and Jourdyn.
Edgar was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Edgar, his stepfather Charles Hoglan and granddaughters, Alicia Black and Casandra Black.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 3, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel of Seminole, Oklahoma. Jack Shamburger will officiate with burial taking place at Tate Mountain Cemetery, Wewoka, Oklahoma.
Serving as casket bearers are; Eddie Black, Chris Black, Lee Cokely, Bobby Dollarhide, Richard Hicks, and Jimmy Matthews.
Honorary bearers are Earl Bevelhimer, Ryan Black, Stephanie Matthews, Chelsea Black, Kasey Hall and Rachel Farris.

JoAnn Adams
JoAnn Adams, 77, of Pryor, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in Claremore, Oklahoma.
Graveside Services for JoAnn will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove, Oklahoma.
Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday evening in the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel.

Margie Adams
Wewoka resident Margie Estell Adams died Monday, April 15, 2013 in Seminole, Okla. at the age of 91.
She was born May 27, 1921 in Leflore, Okla. to Berton and Beulah Cook Burgess.
She married Fred Adams April 19, 1940 in Leflore County.
He passed away December 9, 1985.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Red Adams; three brothers, Melvin Burgess, Bennie Burgess, and J.B. Burgess; three sisters, Ada Robinson, Dorothy Walker, and Dona Williams.
Survivors include two daughters, Dalphy Morton and Phyllis Streater both of Wewoka; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was employed for over 45 years with Smarts Nursing Home as a CNA.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Mission Home Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Matt Wyatt and her grandson Bro. Tanner Streater officiating, burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Adam Berg, Tanner Streater, Tate Streater, Ronnie Keesee, Art Garner, and Jim Stafford.
Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Self, Judge Sawyer, Larry Sawyer, and Derek Christopher.

Pamela Adams
Pamela Ann Adams, 52, resident of Konawa, Okla. died Saturday, July 6, 2013 at her home.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10th at Vamoosa Cemetery. Rev. Arthur Carpitcher will officiate.
Pallbearers are David Hill, Hatuk Hill, Sunhawk Hill, and Randy Casteel.
She was born Feb. 15, 1961 in Ada, Okla. to Billie Jo (Johnson) Adams and B.J. Adams.
She graduated from Konawa High School.
She is survived by one son, Bobby Moon of McAlester, Okla.; one daughter, Jami Casteel of Konawa; one brother, Terry Robertson of Skiatook, Okla.; one sister, Joni Joyner of Tulsa, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billie Jo and B.J. Adams; her husband, Jackie Fowler, one brother, Joel Adams, and one sister, Rhonda Adams.
Winford Adams
Winford Leon Adams, 76, longtime Seminole resident died, Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 in Seminole.
Winford was born Aug. 29, 1937 to Berney and Mable (Coston) Adams in Holdenville.
Winford moved to Seminole from Holdenville and had lived in Seminole for 60 years and graduated from Seminole High School in 1956.
He married Helen Evans in Seminole on Feb. 20, 1960 and soon after, entered the U.S. Army and served 14 months in Korea on the Demilitarized Zone as a Military Policeman.
After his service to our country, he came home and began working in construction for Bob Caffey Construction and later for Bedford Brewer Construction.
He also worked in the oilfield for 20 years before retiring in 1987.
After retirement, he became self-employed with his family at the "Lunch and Such Restaurant", in Seminole, for the last 26 years.
Winford loved his family and enjoyed being with them.
He loved sports, fishing and camping.
Winford was a member of the First Christian Church in Seminole.
Winford is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Helen Adams of the home in Seminole; his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Brandi Adams of Seminole and his three granddaughters, Grace Adams, Ava Adams and Marin Adams.
His parents and three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, Nov. 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Cemetery, with Chris Stinnett officiating.
