Timothy Chris Akerman, 46, a resident of Konawa, Okla., died Friday, June 7, 2013 at his home.
A wake service was scheduled for Monday night, 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located West of Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.
Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 11th at the church. Fr. Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B. will officiate.
Pallbearers are Bob Parker, Tony Buck, Steve Tyler, Thomas Akerman, Steve O’Connor, Victor O’Connor, and Marcus Harjo.
He was born April 21, 1967 in McAlester, Okla. to Christopher Jerome Akerman and Sarah Jo (Sweatt) Akerman.
After going to college, he worked as a cross country truck driver. He also worked as a roughneck for the oilfield, and he owned an auto upholstery shop.
He is survived by his parents, Chris and Jo Akerman of Konawa; one brother, Gary Akerman of Davis, Okla.; two sisters, Karen Green of Wills Point, Tex., and Brenda Akerman of Shawnee, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Theresa Akerman and Sam and Martha Sweatt.
Grace Aldridge
Grace Faith (Robertson) Aldridge, age 88 of Okemah, Okla. passed away Monday evening, Nov. 25, 2013 in Seminole.
She was born Dec. 2, 1924 to the late Chastain Clayton and Sallie E. (Murphy) Robertson.
Grace was born in Skitook, Okla. and lived in the Cromwell area until her marriage to Wayne Aldridge, Jan. 10, 1942.
Then moved to the Old Butner Community until 2009 and was living in the Cromwell area upon death.
She attended Little Church of Christ and was a member of the Home Extension Club.
She loved to cook for her family and friends, along with being a seamstress and gardener.
Preceding Grace in death are her parents; husband; brothers and sisters, Clay Robertson, Opal Miller, Marie Miller, Eva Henry, Sugar Eidson, and Etta Robertson.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald Aldridge and wife Pam, and Harrold L. Aldridge both of Okemah; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 at Sand Creek Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Bob W. Alexander
A memorial service honoring the life of Bob W. Alexander will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church of Seminole.
Bob was born Sept. 16, 1931, and departed this life on March 8, 2013, following a heart attack and a stroke.
Bob is survived by his wife, Mary Donna Alexander; his children, Leigh Ann (Alexander) Spencer and Stephen Wayne Alexander; his grandchildren, Katie Spencer and Alex Spencer and Andrew Alexander; his great-grandchildren, Camdyn Blake and Charley Kate Sellers; his nephews and nieces, Greg Alexander and Sammy Barnes, Gary and Tricia Alexander, and Rose Delumpa-Alexander; and his great-nieces, Natalie and Charlotte Delumpa-Alexander.
Bob Alexander
Bob Wayne Alexander, of Seminole, Okla., was born Sept. 16, 1931, in Hominy, Okla., to Leon and Rubye Alexander.
As a child, his family moved to Lawton, Okla., and he graduated from Lawton High School in 1949.
After high school, Bob attended Oklahoma A & M College in Stillwater, Okla. His father died when he was a freshman and he returned to Lawton to attend Cameron State Agricultural College.
After attaining his associate’s degree at Cameron, he returned to Oklahoma A & M., graduating in 1955 with a bachelor’s degree in animal husbandry.
Bob married Mary Donna Hemphill on June 9, 1956, in Henryetta, Okla. They had two children, Leigh Ann (Alexander) Spencer and Stephen Wayne Alexander.
Bob began his career as a vocational agriculture teacher at Lacey High School and Geary High School. He then worked in agricultural and chemical sales and, later, in golf course turf sales. He retired in the mid-1990’s.
Next to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Bob’s greatest love was golf.
Over the years, many students on Seminole High School’s golf team played with clubs he built.
Until his health began to fail, Bob played golf daily, and until his death, he had a thriving golf club repair business. He also worked at Fire Lake Golf Course until his death.
Bob had a big heart. He would help anyone in need. He lived his life quietly, demonstrating his faith in everything he did.
On Feb. 14, 2013, Bob suffered a heart attack. On Feb. 28, 2013, he suffered a stroke.
He left this life peacefully on March 8, 2013, at his daughter’s house, with his family by his side.
Bob was predeceased by his mother and father, his aunt and uncle, Dallas C. and Brooks Ellot White; and his brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Freeda Alexander.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years; his children; his grandchildren, Katie Spencer and Alex Spencer and Andrew Alexander; his great-grandchildren, Camdyn Blake and Charley Kate Sellers; his nephews and nieces, Greg Alexander and Sammy Barnes, Greg and Tricia Alexander, and Rose Delumpa-Alexander; and his great-nieces, Natalie and Charlotte Delumpa-Alexander.
A viewing will be held at Swearingen Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., at Seminole First United Methodist Church.

Mary Donna Alexander
Mary Donna Alexander was born in Henryetta, Okla., on Dec. 20, 1933, the only child of Warren Wallace and Lydia Elizabeth Hemphill.
She was proud to be a second-generation American, as her grandmother had immigrated to the United States from Wales.
Mary Donna’s school years were all spent at Henryetta, where she graduated from high school in 1952.
After high school, Mary Donna attended Oklahoma A&M College in Stillwater, Okla., earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education through the school of Family Relations and Child Development.
Graduating in 1956, she was proud to be in the last Oklahoma A&M class before the name was changed to Oklahoma State University.
While at Oklahoma A&M, Mary Donna met Bob Wayne Alexander. They were married shortly after her graduation, on June 9, 1956.
Mary Donna and Bob had two children, Leigh Ann (Alexander) Spencer and Stephen Wayne Alexander.
Mary Donna began her teaching career in Lacey, Okla. She also taught school in Geary, Okla. While in Geary, her first child was born and she became a stay-at-home mom.
While living in Enid, Okla, Mary Donna took graduate classes at Phillips University and renewed her teaching certificate.
In 1969, she began teaching kindergarten at Sequoyah Elementary School in Shawnee, Okla. She taught kindergarten and fourth grade at Sequoyah until her retirement in 1998.
At Sequoyah, Mary Donna met her two best friends, Nell Farris and Jeanne Mills.
Mary Donna’s retirement years were spent as Grammy to the loves of her life, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent much of her time at their many activities and, until her final illness, was the proud babysitter to her great-grandchildren.
In early December 2012, Mary Donna became ill and was hospitalized until Feb. 13, 2013.
On Feb. 14, 2013, her beloved husband, Bob, suffered a heart attack; he died on March 8, 2013.
She succumbed very suddenly to her illness, joining Bob in heaven on the evening of April 22, 2013.
Mary Donna was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 56 years; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Freeda Alexander.
She is survived by her children; her grandchildren, Katie Beth and Alex Spencer and Andrew Alexander; her great-grandchildren, Camdyn Blake and Charley Kate Sellers; her nephews and nieces, Greg Alexander and Sammy Barnes, Gary and Tricia Alexander, and Rose Delumpa-Alexander; her great-nieces, Natalie and Charlotte Delumpa-Alexander; her best friends, Nell Farris and Jeanne Mills; and her beloved Yorkie, Ellie.
A viewing will be held at Swearingen Funeral Home on April 26, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
A celebration of Mary Donna’s life will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., at Seminole First United Methodist Church.
Mary Donna will be laid to her final rest at West Lawn Cemetery in Henryetta, Okla.
Raymond Alexander
Raymond Andrew Alexander, 71, longtime Seminole resident, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 in Midwest City, Okla.
He was born July 12, 1941 in Oklahoma City, Okla. to Andrew E. and Irene (Coker) Alexander.
He grew up in the Shawnee, Okla. area and had lived in Seminole the past three years.
He attended and graduated high school at Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kans.
He was a Drug and Alcohol Counselor for private facilities.
He served in the U.S. Army as a Private, during the Vietnam War.
He was a proud member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.
He is survived by a son, Alex Alexander of Missouri; four brothers, Marvin Alexander of Shawnee, Paul Alexander of Tecumseh, Okla., David Alexander of Pleasant Valley, Tenn. and Thomas Jones of Seminole; three sisters, Jeanie Shaw of Atlanta, Ga., Bonnie Gibson of Mounds, Okla. and Bertha Tilkens of Norman, Okla. and one grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Sherry Alexander.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Okla. with burial following in the Jones Family Cemetery northeast of Seminole, Okla.
Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Okla. is in charge of arrangements.
Loin Clinton "Sonny" Allen
Loin Clinton "Sonny" Allen of Seminole, Okla. passed away December 5th, 2013 at the age of 77. Allen, formerly of McCurtain, Okla., was born March 13, 1936 to William Roy and Minnie "Plunk" Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Lee Allen of their home, one daughter Sandra Lynne Moore and husband Tony of Seminole, Okla., two sons, David Clinton Allen and wife Regina of Prue, Okla., and William Paul Allen and wife Amy of Inola, Okla. Allen is also survived by two sisters, Marie Green of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Lois Mills and husband Charles of Del City, Okla., one brother Harold Allen and wife Pat of Spiro, Okla.
Allen had five grandchildren, Sarah Allen, Shawn Allen, Tasha Moore, Clinton Moore, and William Moore, as well as three great-grandchildren, Shelby Russell, Donnie Russell, and Jacoby Harris
Sonny was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, and his parents.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2013, at Mallory Chapel, in Stigler. Mr. Jack Woodlard will be officiating. Burial will follow in Old Panther Cemetery under the direction of the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory of Stigler.
Pallbearers will be: Clinton Moore, Shawn Allen, Mitchell Kinsey, Wayne Kinsey, Arvin Fuller, and Stephen Paul. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Matthew Fuller, Dustin Real, William Moore, Russell Gibson, Raymond Lane, and Tony Moore.
Michele Allen
Michele Kaye Allen, 44 of Wewoka died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at her residence in Wewoka.
She was born May 18, 1968 in Shawnee, Okla.
She was a 1986 graduate of Wewoka High School
She married Steven Allen in 1988 at New Port, Va.
Survivors include her husband, Steven Allen of the home; daughters, Stephanie Michele Judd of Aviano, Italy and Kaylee Lynae Allen of Wewoka; parents, Rick and Trish Ayers; sister, Sherry Rush of Corova, Tenn.; and brother, Cody Ray Gelino of Carrollton, Tex.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Harvey Road Baptist Church, with Rev. Russell Vicars officiating and interment at Oakwood Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
