Martha Factor

Martha Mae Factor, age 92 passed away Monday, Sept. 2, 2013 in Norman, Okla.

She was born Dec. 13, 1920 in Sasakwa, Okla. to the late Edward Factor and Alice Harjo Factor.

Martha was a member of Spring Baptist Church.

She was a homemaker and loved making quilts, cooking, babysitting her grandchildren, and spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death are her parents; three children, Tommy Chambers, Jesse Chambers; one infant son, Charlie Edwards; brothers, Tom Factor, Kenneth Factor, Jeffie Factor and Harry Factor; one great-great daughter, Neaveh Harley; and one great-great grandson, Christopher Williams.

Survivors include children, Wanda Bruner, of Wewoka, Ruby Chambers of Seminole, Lena Chambers of Allen, and Kenneth "Foley" Chambers of Mounds; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Martin of Oklahoma City and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral service are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, with officiating and burial at Oakwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Edward Bruno, Jason Chambers, Robby McWhethy, Timmy McWethy, Ted McWethy, Hiram Roulston and Charlie Factor.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Roulston, Dempsy Roulston, Scotty Orr, Curtis Factor, Harry Factor Jr., George Factor, Thomas Harjo and Johnny Harrison.

Arrangements are by Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Dr. Donald Feltman

Donald Roger Feltman was born Jan. 15, 1925, in Toledo, Ohio, and died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, in Oklahoma City, Okla. at the age of 88.

He was the son of Ralph H. and Anne Marguerite (Ducluzeau) Feltman, and a long-time resident of Prague.

He graduated from high school in Pawhuska, proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and received his doctor of optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. Tenn.

He married Dorothy Riley on April 15, 1961.

He operated a successful Optometry practice in Prague from 1953 until his retirement in 1990.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Lillian Watkins.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Feltman of the home; sons, Roger Feltman of Oklahoma City and Ralph Feltman of Prague; a grandson; and a brother, Frank Feltman of Ft. Smith, Ark.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Scott Keneda officiating and Bro. Tim Emmons assisting. Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Omelia Fields

Funeral services for Wewoka resident Omelia "Millie" Fields are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at the First Assembly of God Church, Wetumka, Okla. with nephew, Martin Gustin of Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Bethel, Okla. officiating and burial at Calvin Cemetery, Calvin, Okla.

Millie was born April 18, 1919 in Stuart, Okla. to the late Denton David Mauldin and Mary Etta (Wilson) Maudlin of Calvin, Okla.

She passed away Monday night Oct. 7, 2013 at the age of 94 years.

She was married to the late Jack Fields on Jan. 13, 1938 in Calvin. He passed away June 1981.

Millie was a member of the first Assembly of God Church, Wetumka.

She was a house wife, drove Vo-Tech bus for Wewoka High School to Shawnee.

Millie worked for over 60 years for the Lord, making props for programs, sewing drama clothes, singing in the Church Choir, cleaning the Church, helping serve meals, conducting prayers, and in the quilting club, also teaching cradle roll, through high school classes.

Millie was preceded into heaven by her parents; brothers, Martin Maulding, Oral Mauldin, Jack Mauldin, Earnest "Stick" Mauldin, Charlie Mauldin, Vernon Mauldin, Lloyd Mauldin, Dubert Mauldin; sisters, Ruby Maulding, Opal (Mauldin) Cook, Blanche (Mauldin) Griffin, and Gladys (Mauldin) Martin; granddaughter, Stacy (Shores) Brown; Grandson Gary Gourd and son-in-law, Carrol Cain.

Millie is survived by one brother, Doyle Mauldin of Hockey, Tex; four children, Delores (Field) Cain of Midwest City, Okla., Don Gene and wife Alene Fields of Tahlequah, Okla., Sharon (Fields) and husband Jerry Tank of Wewoka, Okla. and Ronald "Ron" Fields and wife Sandra of Yukon, Okla.; thirteen grandchildren, Carroll Ann (Cain) and husband Aaron Matthewson, of Oklahoma City, Cynthia (Cain) and husband Jimmy Wood, Oklahoma City, Donna Gourd, of Tahlequah, Jack Gourd, Tahlequah, Joe Don Fields and wife Shannon of Tahlequah, Mark Brown and wife Cindy of Blanchard, Tracy (Shores) Poindextor and husband Shawn of McLoud, Jay Don Shores and wife Alice of Norman, Terry Derian and wife Karen of St. Clair, Shores, Mich., Kathy (Tank) McNeill and husband Jim of Kuttowa, Ky., Kim (Tank) and husband Tracy Daniels of Pikeville, Ky., Sherry (Tank) and husband Robert Hanna of Papilliow, Nebr., Ronnie Fields and wife Lisa of Mansfield, Tex., great-grandchildren; Kaitlyn. Samatha, and Melissa Sutton, Chase and Adelina Wood, Melissa Gourd, Ditlon Stratton, Ann Grace Fields, and Mine Fields, Meagan (Brown) and husband Mark Griffin, Heather Brown, Tanner Brown and wife Holly, Michelle Derain, Paul Derain, Sarah Derain, Emily Hanna, Ty Hanna, Jerald McNeill, Rayan Poindexter, Cody Shores and wife Molly, Tanner Poindexter, Garrett Poindexter, Brittany McKinner, Jaden Shores, Hunter Shores, Stacy Shores, and Raley Fields. Great-greatgrandchildren Macie Griffin, Mealyn Griffin, Julia Ann Storer, and Jase Shores, a host of nieces, nephews, and double cousins, and many friends.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Joe Don Fields, Jay Don Fields, Jackie Gourd, Ron Fields, Aaron Matthewson, and Jimmy Wood.

Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandson Tanner Brown, Ryan Poindexter, Tanner Poindexter, Garrett Poindexter, Cody Shores, and Hunter Shores.

Donations may be made to Women Ministry First Assembly of God PO Box 216, Wetumka, OK 74883.

Arrangements are by Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Wanda Fife

Wanda E. Fife, 62 year-old longtime Maud, Okla. resident, passed from this life on Sunday, March 3, 2013 in Norman, Okla.

She was born March 16, 1950 in Claremore, Okla., to parents, Della (Fife) Stewart and Earl L. Stewart.

Wanda earned her associate degree from Seminole State College in 1998.

She was also a proud member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma (the Tom Palmer Band) and a member of Achena Presbyterian Church in Seminole County, Okla. (south east of Maud).

Wanda had worked for many years as a seamstress at Wrangler Jean Company in Seminole before becoming a full time homemaker.

On May 16, 1982, she married Winfred B. Fife in Shawnee, Okla. Sadly he preceded her in death on July 18, 2008.

Wanda was a huge O.U. "Oklahoma University" fan and many say that she was worse than a teenager on her I-phone.

She loved to care for her family and friends and wouldn’t hesitate to be at their side if she was needed. Wanda also loved her dog "Pepper."

Survivors include one son, James Fife of Maud; two daughters and a son-in-law, Tiara and her husband Phillip Kersey of Norman, and Tamara Stewart of Norman; four step-daughters, Sammye Fife of Maud, Cheryl Fife of Maud, Retta and her husband Larry Brennan of Tecumseh, Okla., and Melissa and Randall Hawkins of Ada, Okla.; one brother, John and his wife Annie Quillen of Jonesboro, Ga.; one granddaughter, Ava Olivia Kersey of Norman; eight step-grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Wanda is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Winfred B. Fife who died July 18, 2008; three sisters, Mabel Weaver, Cora Alsip, an infant sister; and by one brother, Hobart Stewart.

Wake services are scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Okla. with Elder Rick Harjo officiating.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Elder Lewis Fife officiating.

Interment service will follow at Little Cemetery with Elder Frank Sewell officiating.

Casket bearers will be Marc Brennan, Andre Womack, James Kinsey, Bradley Hawkins, Jason Wolfe and Randall Hawkins.

Honorary bearers will be Ronnie Treat, Lewis Fife, Rick Harjo, Frank Sewell, Blake Fife, Tony Fife, Larry Brennan and Ethan Deere.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.

Ellie Finch

Ellie Mae Violet (Hensley) Finch, 91, life-long resident of Konawa died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at Valley View Hospital in Ada, Okla.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa. Burial will follow at Konawa City Cemetery. Mary Ann Dillon will officiate.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday and Friday.

She was born July 27, 1921 in Konawa to Ollie Rice A Dick@ Hensley and Maud Louisa Hensley.

She married Lonnie W. Finch in Konawa in 1940.

She was a homemaker.

She married Ralph E. Sparks, Sr. in 1999.

She is survived by one grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Maud Hensley; her first husband, Lonnie W. Finch and second husband, Ralph E. Sparks, Sr.; three brothers, Jesse Phelps Hensley, Clell F. Hensley, and Elzo Joseph Hensley; and five sisters, Martha Francis Sparks, Ollie Lee Knoll, Clara Iowa Adams, Willie Lavon Hensley, and Jackie Ruth Rounsaville.

Loretta Finkenberg

Loretta June (Burgess) Finkenberg, 62 years old, died on July 18, 2013 at her home in Wewoka, Okla. after a brief, but valiant battle with cancer.

Loretta was born in Wewoka on April 26, 1951 to Rev. William and Madeline (Bemo) Burgess.

Loretta held a Bachelor's Degree in Business and her work throughout her life gave her many different opportunities.

She worked at NASA and California State University in Los Angeles, but the most rewarding jobs that she held was when she was working in Tribal Government.

She served as Fiscal Director at the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma for many years, worked at the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma as the Director of Finance, worked at Finley and Cook as a Tribal Accountant and was serving as the Financial Director at the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma at the time of her death.

Loretta was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wewoka.

She enjoyed music, art, theater, gardening, but most of all, her family.

She never missed an opportunity to support her grandkids at their various sporting events.

She served as a Godly example to family and friends.

She never missed an opportunity to tell her family and friends how much she loved them. Possessing a true servant's heart, she taught those around her how to live a faithful, loving life.

Survivors include her daughter, Amber Esselstrom and her husband, Ryan; her grandchildren, Keaton, Masen and Travin Esselstrom; her sisters, Marlene Burgess and Anna Kitsmiller and her husband, Walter; her brothers, Mel Burgess and Michael Burgess and his wife, Karen; her loving nieces, nephews and numerous other family and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and brother, Jim Burgess.

Wake services will be held 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening, July 19, 2013 at the Stout Phillips Chapel.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Wewoka with Rev. Dan Anderson and Rev. Jay Badry officiating.

Pallbearers include Ryan Esselstrom, Keaton Esselstrom, Travin Esselstrorn, Clint Burgess, Mark Burgess, Jacob Kitsmiller and Austin Kitsmiller.

Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery Wewoka.

Earnest Fitzke

On Aug. 11, 2013 at 12:32 a.m., Earnest Carl Fitzke went to be with the Lord as a long time resident of Seminole.

He lived a long fulfilling life.

He was born July 15, 1929 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is preceded in death by his father, Earnest Fitzke and mother, Addie (Lumley) Fitzke; his wife of 25 plus years, Glenda Sue Fitzke and sister, Joann Heatley.

He is survived by wife and companion, Barbara Hennigh; sons, Earnie Huckeba, John Fitzke; daughters, Alicia Simon, Tammy Bray, Sandra Huckeba; step children, Billy Barnes, Bobby Joy Foster, Perry Hennigh and numerious grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He will be truly missed.
