Bobby Gore Jr.
On the morning of April 6, 2013, Bobby Floyd Gore Jr. fell asleep in his chair and woke up in Heaven. He picked a beautiful day to ride out.
Bobby "Scoutt" Gore was born July 17, 1957 to Bobby Floyd and Francis (Chitwood) Gore in Oklahoma City, Okla.
He graduated from Holdenville High School in 1975 and joined the Army, 5th Division, after graduation.
Upon discharge he worked in the oilfield and at Hayes Axel until he became Warehouse Manager of Hooten Oil in Seminole.
His main passion, besides his wife and family, was riding his Harley.
He was an officer/member of BACA for many years and one of the founding members of the Seminole County Fallen Heroes Memorial.
To list all of those he has helped over the years would be nearly impossible, and against his character. He helped those who needed help and never expected, nor wanted, praise for his actions.
He married the love of his life, Brenda (Orsburn) Gore, on April 13, 1990 in Cromwell, Okla.
With that union he brought his sons, Austin and David Kendall Gore and became a father to Karrie, Brad, and David Lee Orsburn.
To say he will be missed would be an understatement. He was so much to so many.
In short, he was a friend and inspiration to all who had the pleasure to know him. He was a grateful recipient of a Life Share organ transplant and cherished the gift of life he had received.
Bobby was preceded in death by his son, Austin Gore; his sister, Karla Crow; his brother, David Gore; and his father, Bobby Floyd Gore.
Surviving family include his wife, Brenda of the home; his sons and their families, David Kendall and Mandy, Brad and Jayme, all of Wewoka, and David Lee and Alix Wooten of Oklahoma City; his daughter Karrie and Josh Cloud of Sasakwa and daughter-in-law Angie Whisnant of Wewoka; his grandchildren, Destrie, Abby and Tristin Cloud, Degan Orsburn, Zane Gore, Arius Carter, Colby and Jaden Cullum, and Roy Crawford.
He is also survived by his mother, Francis Gore of Holdenville; and his in-laws, Arther and Barbara Orsburn of Wewoka.
Surviving siblings include his brother, Gary Gore and Christy Harjo of Holdenville; his sisters, Tricia and Mark Schlueter of McAlester and Karen and Dewayne Johnson of Wewoka. Surviving brothers and sisters by benefit of marriage include Joe and Jamie Orsburn of Wewoka, Christie and Chuck Johnson of Wewoka, Jeanette and Rick Kennedy of Cromwell, and Ray and Wendy Orsburn of Oklahoma City.
He was the best uncle anyone could imagine, and he loved his nieces, Lacey Gore, Stormi Crow, Stefanie Renfro, Shane’a Gore, Heather Orsburn, Delia Orsburn, Cheri Johnson, Angela Marshall, Amy Kennedy, Shelby Orsburn and nephews, Jeremy Schlueter, Scott Johnson, Justin Schlueter, Shane Schlueter, Cody Schlueter, Lance Crow, Devan Gore, Matt Orsburn, Randall Kennedy, Bobby Young, and Denver Orsburn.
There are countless others who were a part of Bobby and Brenda’s family. To try to list them all would inevitably leave someone out, and Bobby would never stand for that. You know who you are, and you each know you are loved.
Funeral service will be held at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Wewoka, Okla. at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Fellow rider "Rev" Mike Wester will be officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Schlueter, Scott Johnson, Justin Schlueter, Shane Schlueter, Cody Schlueter, Lance Crow, and Devan Gore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Mooney, Kirby Kilgore, Linda Mooney, Jan Hager, and all current and past BACA members.
Memorial Donations may be made in memory of Bobby "Scoutt" Gore at 1st National Bank in Wewoka.
