Wilson Hill, 81, longtime Seminole area resident died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 in Holdenville General Hospital.
Mr. Hill was living in Wewoka at the time of his death.
Wilson was born on June 30, 1931 in Hannah, Okla. to Samson and Rosanna (Brown) Hill.
Mr. Hill was a storm door and window installer for the Nash Company in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Mr. Hill served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and received the Purple Heart.
He loved to read his bible and attended area stomp dances. He loved fishing and his grandchildren.
Wilson was survived by his wife, Mary Larney of Seminole, Okla., two sons, Solomon Hill of Oklahoma City, Okla. and William Hill of Owasso, Okla. and his brother, Benjamin Hill of Wetumka, Okla.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Deidra, James Waylon Buckner, Tyler Star, William Samson Hill and Shayde Ann Hill.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, Feb. 18,
2013 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Rev. Houston Tiger officiating.
There will be a wake service, Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with Rev. Bill Hobia officiating at the wake service.
Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Christine Hinesley
Christine Hinesley, 64 of Sapulpa passed on Friday, April 5, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, Okla.
She was born on Sept. 27, 1948 in Seminole, Okla. to Jess and Pauline (Harjo) Williams.
She was retired as an LPN.
She was a member of the Westside Freewill Baptist Churchin Sapulpa, Okla.
She has resided in the Sapulpa community since 1976.
She attended two years of college.
She enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, gardening, outdoors, horse riding and watching PBR. She was a good Christian lady.
She was married to her husband, Ronald R. Hinesley on July 3, 1984.
She is survived by husband, Ronald R. Hinesley of Sapulpa, Okla.; daughter, Xan Wood and son-in-law, David Wood, Jr. of Bristow, Okla.; granddaughter, Madison Jackson and husband, Marcus Jackson of Tulsa, Okla.; grandson, Private First Class Mathew Wood and wife Maricca of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif.; great-granddaughter, Jessica Jackson and great-grandson, Haiden Jackson; son, Travis Hinesley and daughter-in-law, Kristi Hinesley of Broken Arrow, Okla.; grandson, Brayden Hinesley, granddaughter, Gabby Spencer, grandson, Caleb Hinesley and grandson, Garrett Hinesley; daughter, Kelley Treece and son-in-law, Paul Treece of Tulsa, Okla.; granddaughter, Calista Treece, grandson, Logan Treece, grandson, Joshua Treece.
She is also survived by her siblings, (Big Baby) Nowatha Cope of Checotah, Okla.; (Baby) Sue Caldwell of Greenwood, S.C.; (Sister) Loisetta Nix of Seminole, Okla.; and (Sonny Boy) James Williams of Wewoka, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jess Williams; mother, Pauline (Harjo) Williams Deere; step-father, Buster Deere; sister, Maxine Hines and sister, Irene Prust.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Westside Freewill Baptist Church, 1403 S. Cheyenne Rd., Sapulpa, Okla. Officiating will be the Reverends Millard McGuire and Jarrod Vanderslice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa, Okla.
Dawn Hisey
Dawn Lynn Hisey, 55, of Custer City, OK passed away September 21, 2013. She was born May 13, 1958 to William O’Donnell and Linda Wheeler in Wewoka, OK. Dawn is survived by her children, Chad O’Donnell, and Pacy Gomez; 5 grandchildren, Gessica and Devon O’Donnell, Dagen Diego, Dylan Gomez; father, Don O’Donnell and wife Nancy; mother, Linda Gwaltney; two brothers, Ralph O’Donnell, and Mike O’Donnell; niece and nephews, Aaron O’Donnell and Alyson Hamilton. Arrangements were provided by John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
Lorene Holland
Lorene Holland a Seminole resident passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 in Seminole at the age of 98.
Mrs. Holland was born Oct. 6, 1914 in Crowder, Okla. to parents, Dave Alexander Gibson and Minnie Lee (Krebs) Gibson Marshall.
Mrs. Holland was a former hairstylist and a member of First Baptist Church of Seminole.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde Bonner and Raymond Holland, and her niece and legal guardian, Joneil Malone Burris of Hughes Springs, Tex.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Kalynn and Johnny Stone of Hugh Springs, Tex., JoAnna and Bubba Wright of Vidor, Tex., Ronnie and Judy Gibson of Houston, Tex. and David and Margaret Gibson of Beaumont, Tex., several stepchildren, great nieces and great nephews and her friend and legal guardian Geneva Stovall of Seminole and Hughes Spring, Tex.
Graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday Jan. 4, 2013 with Rev. Russell Vicars officiating. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole.
Memorials may be made to Seminole Care and Rehab Center or to the Seminole Animal Shelter.

Billy Holley
Billy Leon Holley died June 16, 2013 at Elmwood Manor Nursing Home in Wewoka, Okla.
He was born to Billy Gene and Frances Irene Flower Holley on Nov. 6, 1950 in Fort Polk, La.
No services are planned at this time.
He worked in the oilfield for most of his life in California and Oklahoma.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his grandmother, Hester Outland.
He is survived by a son, Chris Holley of Flint, Mich.; two sisters, Lindy Holley of Everett, Wash. and Jane Fields of Little Rock, Calif.; granddaughter, Alexandria Holley of Detroit, Mich.
Skinner Hollingsworth
Aug. 17, 1928 – Dec. 15, 2013
Glenn Vincent "Skinner" Hollingsworth, 85 year-old longtime Seminole resident passed from this life Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013 at his home in Seminole.
He was born Aug. 17, 1928 in Harjo, Okla. to parents Claude James Hollingsworth and Rena (Nadeau) Hollingsworth.
Skinner served as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean War, where he received Korean Service Medal with three bronze stars and the UN Service Medal for his service with the Battery "B" 50th Artillery Division.
On July 7, 1953 "Skinner" married Betty Smith in Las Vegas, Nev.
"Skinner" was a heavy machine operator belonging to the Operating Engineers Union Local 12; he was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
The couple returned to Seminole County seventeen years ago from Long Beach, Calif.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Betty of the home; children, Glenna, Bruce and Debbie; brother, Tony and his wife Barbara and sister, Mary; five grandsons, Tommy, Clayton, John, Logan and Dietmar; nine great-grandchildren; and a great many nieces, nephews and cousins that he loved dearly.
"Skinner" was preceded in death by brothers, James "Jim" and Louis; and sisters, Sarah, Dilla, Laura "Sis" and Hazel.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery with Military Honors.
Casket Bearers will be: his son, Bruce and his five grandsons, Tommy, Clayton, John, Logan and Dietmar.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Shirley Hollis
Shirley Ann Hollis, 58, resident of Shawnee died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013 at her home.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Konawa cemetery.
She was born June 1, 1955 in Bakersfield, California to Carl Richard Hollis and Barbara Ann (Stokes).
She worked as a phlebotomist in California before moving to the Seminole area over 20 years ago.
She married Dennis Pittman, later married Cecil Harris, and later Larry Greenwood.
She enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts, home decorating, and her dogs: Gigi and Zahra.
Preceded in death by her parents, and infant son, and a brother: Carl Hollis, Jr.
She is survived by a son, Denny Wayne Pittman and wife Angela of Shawnee; sisters, Marjorie Maxwell and husband Edward of Holdenville, Pat Colvin of Bakersfield, Calif.; several nieces, nephews, along with other family and friends.
Walker Funeral Service of Shawnee is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
Virginia Holt
Virginia Ann "Ginger" Holt former Seminole County resident died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 in Tishomingo, Okla. at the age of 70.
She was born Aug. 25, 1943 in Tishomingo to Earl F. Fairman and Doris (Gamble) Fairman.
She married James Holt on Aug. 14, 1990 in Sherman, Tex. He preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 2010.
She was a real estate broker who owned and operated Homestake Realty of Eufaula, Okla.
She is survived by her mother, Doris Fairman of Tishomingo; two daughters, Terri Johnston of Millcreek, Okla. and Tammi Putman of Millcreek, Okla.; step son, Clint Dawkins of Shawnee, Okla.; two step daughters, Joey Garner of Seminole and Jamie Chaney of Byng, Okla; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Fairman; brother, Jimmy Earl Fairman; four grandchildren, Jonice Reynolds, Laura Reynolds, Johnathan Reynolds and William Reynolds.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clint Dawkins officiating. Burial will take place at Little Cemetery in Seminole County.
Serving as casket bearers are Jimmy Garner, Kendall Putman, Roger Johnston, John Ackerman, Jeremy Putman, John Johnston and Cody Grass.
Honorary bearer will be James Atnip.

Mae Homesley
The family of Mae Homesley would like to announce there will be a community memorial dinner in honor of Mae at the Earlsboro Elementary cafeteria at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2013.
Services for Homesley will be at 11:00 a.m.Monday, April 8, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Rev. Lee Oliver officiating.
Burial will take place at Earlsboro Cemetery in Earlsboro.
