Mr. Hays died April 20, 2004, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born Nov. 7, 1919, at Ada to Billie Perry and Hattie Bell Newton Hays. He lived in this area all his life, attending Hayes Grade School and graduating from Ada High School. He also attended East Central University for two years.
He was employed at the Ada Evening News as a composing room foreman for many years, and was currently employed at the Chickasaw Nation in the print shop. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, and was a member of the American Legion.
Mr. Hays was a member of College Heights Missionary Baptist Church, and currently served as a deacon. He has also served as Sunday school superintendent.
He and Anna Louise Thomason were married Nov. 27,1946. She died on Dec. 11, 1994, at Ada.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Patty, Ada, and Randel Patty, Baton Rouge, La.; a sister, Virginia Bowers, Ada; a brother-in-law, George Parker, Ada; four grandchildren, Angela Baltimore, Monique Bucaro, Drew Patty and Sandra Mosier; four nieces, Ann Patty, Carol Strain, Rosa Tudor and Jo Jones; and a nephew, Gary Don Parker.
Bearers are Harold Mann, Eric Todd, Kevin Bowles, Robert West and Kevin Worcester.

ADA Services for Robert Milton Allman, 75, Ada, are 11 a.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Frank Brewer officiating. Burial follows at Vamoosa Cemetery, near Konawa.
Mr. Allman died April 20, 2004, at a local hospital. He was born Jan. 15, 1929, at Drumright to Robert M. and Nellie Burris Allman. He moved to Ada in 1972 with his family from Tulsa and attended grade school at Drumright and high school at Soap Lake, Wash.
He worked in the construction industry as a welder, and was a boiler maker for Betchel and Kellogg Companies, as well as other international and state-side construction companies.
He and Virginia Yerby were married June 6, 1959, at Tulsa.
Survivors include his wife Virginia, of the home; a daughter, Susan Allman Shofner, Ada; a son, Michael Allman, Ada; two sisters, Wanda Collier, San Diego, Calif., and Rita Hopkins, Salina; and three grandchildren, Robert Michael Allman, Kristina Nicole Allman and James M. "Trey" Shofner III.
Bearers are Bill Yerby, John Yerby, Jerry Yerby, Dillard Taylor, Weldon Cravey and John Melson.

Mrs. Metcalf died April 17, 2004, at her home. She was born March 23, 1935, at Edmond to Charley and Ruby Hensley Stone. She lived in the Ada-Byng area all her life. She attended Willard School and graduated from Horace Mann High School.
Mrs. Metcalf retired from Valley View Regional Hospital with more than 50 years of service. She was a member of Bible Wesleyan Church.
She married Richard Dean Metcalf Sr. Aug. 15, 1977, in Pontotoc County.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Dean Metcalf Sr., of the home; four sons, Jody Turner and wife Debbie, Madill, Billy Turner, Pauls Valley, Jimmy Turner, of the home, and Charles Turner, of the home; a daughter, Lisa Ames and husband Randy, Ada; a stepson, Richard Metcalf Jr., Sulpur; two stepdaughters, Lisa Winter and husband David, Wichita, Kan., and Lori Metcalf Smith and husband Doug, Ada; two brothers, Olga Stone, Lubbock, Texas, and David Stone, Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Martha White, Plainview, Texas, and Nida Middleton, Lawton; 10 grandchildren, Chris Turner, Carris McConnell, Cody Turner, Jessica Turner, Britny Pryor, Brandy Ames, Ashley Winter, D. J. Winter, Cameron Smith and Nicole Winter. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Vinnie Mae West and Alga Loy; and one brother, Jefferson Stone.
