Wewoka resident Judith (Judy) Gayle Payne died Wednesday Jan. 16th, 2013 in Oklahoma City at the age of 60.
She was born in Wewoka June 18, 1952 to Eddie Kerman and Arneitha Thompson Jones.
She was a graduate of Wewoka High School.
She worked at Big Yank and Wrangler Factory's as an assembly person.
She married Wendell R. Payne Jan. 25, 1973 in Seminole.
Survivors include her mother, Arneitha Jones of Wewoka; children, Tywana Reese of Seminole, , Kasey Payne of Moore, Okla., Kennisha Payne of Wewoka, Tanisha Adams of Moore, Okla., and Krizia Payne of Wewoka; sixteen grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Jones of Wewoka, Margaret Samilton of Wewoka, Janice Jamerson of Oklahoma City, Sheila Jones of Shawnee, Peggy Jones of Shawnee, Latrease Posey of New Lima; and brother, Paul Jones of Wewoka.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12;00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 at the Wewoka First United Methodist Church and burial will follow at Faye Cemetery, Seminole.
Sharon Payne
Long time Seminole county resident, Sharon Kaye (Hardeman) Payne passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in Seminole, Okla. at the age of 65.
Sharon was born on Sept. 25, 1947 in Wetumka, Okla. to parents, Lucius C. Hardeman and Bessie (Jones) Hardeman.
Sharon graduated from New Lima High School, attended Seminole State College and Central Oklahoma College.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of New Lima, Okla. and a Home Health Care Specialist.
In August 1986, Sharon married Sherman W. Payne who preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2013.
Sharon is survived by one son, Anthony Hardeman of Marietta, Ga.; and one daughter, Teresa Wilson and her husband, Mike Wilson of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three brothers, Edward Hardeman of Warner, Okla., Lawrence Hardeman of Shawnee, Okla. and Donnie Hardeman of New Lima, Okla.; and one sister, Earnscell Shelton of New Lima.
She is also survived by one grandchild, Taneiqua Walker; two great grandchildren, Quinton Harris, Cameron Harris; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Lucius and Bessie Hardenman; husband, Sherman W. Payne, Zelma Jean Bruner, Eula Mae Davis, Lucius C. Hardeman, Jr., Cleo, Cloyace and Larry.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel of Seminole, Okla. with Rev. Lamont Bray officiating. Burial will take place at Westwood Cemetery in Wewoka.
Serving as pallbearers will be Lawrence Hardeman, Jr., Terry Hardeman, Kevin Hardeman, Julius Price, Dale Price and Jon Griffis.
Honorary pallbearers are Herman Hill, Raymond Griffis, Wallace Edwards and Kenneth Edwards.
Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

Sherman Payne
Sherman Waldo Payne, 69, longtime Seminole area resident died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Sherman was born on Sept. 29, 1943 in Seminole, Okla. to Sherman and Choice (Morris) Payne.
Sherman served in Vietnam in the U.S. Army and was retired.
A daughter Sonja Payne of Oklahoma City, and four grandchildren, Sontina Payne, Sontae Payne, Tre Payne and Tavon Payne survive Sherman.
Funeral services are planned for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Westwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Okla.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Betty Perkins
Funeral service for Betty Jo Perkins of Wewoka will be 1:30 p.m. Friday April 19, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Wewoka with Pastor Jay Badry officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Betty Jo Perkins went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at her home in Wewoka, Okla.
Betty Jo was born July 9, 1930 in Wewoka, Okla. to W.J. Haning and Mittie Molpus Haning.
She graduated from Wewoka High School and later attended Seminole State College.
Betty Jo married Bill Perkins Dec. 21, 1947 at the First Baptist Church in Wewoka, Okla.
Betty Jo was a Master Florist and owned and operated Gilles flower shop in Holdenville for many years.
She loved quilting, fishing, deer hunting, treasure hunting, and antique shopping.
Betty Jo was a long time member of the Wewoka First Baptist Church.
Betty Jo is survived by her children, Nancy and husband, Ronnie Stafford of Wewoka, Jennifer Jo Perkins of Seminole, and Kris and husband, Gary Calvert of Wewoka; sister, Willie Bea Phillips; grandchildren, Will and wife, Angela Stafford, Jared and wife, Tracie Stafford, Kayla and husband, Laf Miles, Cody Coats, and Cord Calvert; six great grandchildren, and best friend, Marsha Poplin.
Betty Jo is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Perkins; son, Patrick Perkins; and brother, James Haning.
Pallbearers are Will Stafford, Jared Stafford, David Thomas, Cody Coats, Tim Poplin, and Dennis Phillips.

Cathy Pointer
Cathy V. Pointer passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at Holdenville General Hospital in Holdenville, Okla.
She was born on March 20, 1962 in Holdenville to Dallas Pointer and Juanita Brewer Pointer.
There will be a family and friends viewing on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at the Holdenville Cemetery in Holdenville and will be officiated by Rev. Dane Robinson.
Cathy was a Certified Medical Aide, who retired in 2003.
She loved to fish, loved her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, she enjoyed Word Search, loved her dog and liked to play Bingo Bucks at the nursing home.
Cathy in preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Juanita Pointer.
She is survived by a brother, Douglas Pointer of Holdenville, and two nieces Jamie Humphreys of Ada, Okla. and Heather MacKenzie of Tulsa, Okla.
Funeral services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville.
Kyle Polkinghorn
Kyle Joseph Polkinghorn passed away Wednesday Sept. 4, 2013 at the age of 28 years.
Kyle was born Oct. 8, 1984 in La Mesa, Calif. to Lonnie and Eugenia Renee Polkinghorn.
Kyle graduated from Valhalla High School. He later graduated a vocational school of Masonry.
Kyle married Candace Nix on April 16, 2011 in Wewoka, Okla.
He worked for Cromwell Dozer and Backhoe Service as a Roustabout.
He enjoyed singing and playing guitar, playing golf, fishing, and loved his family dearly.
Kyle is preceded in death by his grandfather, Eugene James Antione; and cousin, Cellise Antione.
He is survived by his wife, Candi; children, Savanna Velle Andrews of the home, Aiviani Luna of Colorado, and stepson, Robert Eugene Buck the third; his parents, Lonnie and Eugenia Polkinghorn of El Cajone, Calif.; brothers and sisters, Josh Polkinghorn, Nate Polkinghorn, Annie Adams, Sara Beamer, Chris Polkinghorn, Stephanie Polkinghorn, and Mary Sweet; grandparents, Jo Ann Antione, Ruby and Jerry Fox, Royce Polkinghorn and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Josh Polkinghorn, Nate Polkinghorn, Brian Cobbin, Tyler Peters, and Richard Gunn.

Regina Post
Regina Ann Post, 63, Seminole resident, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 in Seminole.
She was born Feb. 23, 1950 in Shawnee, Okla. to Ivan Gordon and Viola Ruth Hopkins.
She worked at Firelake’s Casino in Shawnee.
She is survived by her mother, Viola Hopkins of Shawnee; her three daughters, Annette Granger of Durant, Okla., Angel Wilson of Shawnee and Anna Andrews of Seminole; one brother, Randy Hopkins of Shawnee; a sister, Pamela Johnson of Shawnee; and ten grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ivan Hopkins; her husband, Randy Post; and a son, Arthur Wells III.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole. Burial will be at Little Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Dalton Johnson, Danny Hilton, Ed Johnson, Jerry Andrews, Craig Kessinger, Jody Clark, and Dayton Johnson.
