Dollie Smith passed away at her home in Edmond, Okla., on Oct. 8, 2013, after a brief illness.
Dollie is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Dollie Twiggs; husband, Troy N. Smith Sr.; a son, Troy (Butch) N. Smith Jr.; and four sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Baugh of Edmond, Okla.; eight grandchildren, Ronnie Baugh, Christopher Baugh, Christi Ferrill, Troy Smith III, Eric Smith, David Smith, Travis Smith, Kyle Smith; ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; her brother, Keith (Elizabeth) Twiggs, of Brenham, Tex.; and her sister Sammie Williamson of San Marcos, Tex.; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
The family thanks Mary, Irene and Becky for their loving care of both Dollie and Troy.
Dollie’s husband, Troy, was the founder of SONIC Drive-In restaurants. Troy started the company in Shawnee, Okla., in 1953 and it has since grown to be the largest chain of drive-ins in the country.
Dollie was steadfast in her support of Troy, the SONIC business, and the raising of their two children, Troy, Jr. and Leslie.
The family will greet guests from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday evening at Matthews Funeral Home.
Services will be held Mon., Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Edmond, Okla., with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery, also in Edmond.

Earl Smith
Funeral services for Earl Wayne Smith will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Texas Banner Church of God Church south of Wetumka. Interment will follow at the Wetumka Cemetery.
Earl Wayne Smith was born Jan. 18, 1945 in Okemah, Okla. to Archie Smith and Anna (Nichols) Smith.
He passed away, with his family by his side, Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at his home in Wetumka at the age of 68.
Mr. Smith, a longtime resident of Wetumka, attended school in Bearden until the sixth grade before moving to Wetumka and graduating in 1963.
At the age of 15 he began working in grocery stores in Wetumka including Morris Grocery there.
Mr. Smith worked with the City of Wetumka, Wes Watkins Technology Center and retired from Hughes County District #2. He also worked 18 years with Transok Pipeline Company.
Mr. Smith was very involved with the community of Wetumka. He was a member of the Wetumka Jaycees, a volunteer firefighter for 20 years and past city council member.
He and Peggy Burkes were married Feb. 13, 1965 in Wetumka.
Mr. Smith was a member of the Texas Banner Church of God and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, taking care of his lawn and bird watching.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his father in law, Orvel Burkes.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Smith of the home in Wetumka; two daughters, Susan Tyra and husband Alan of Wetumka and Barbara Lewis and husband Ronnie of Seminole; one brother, Ed Smith and wife Pat of Okemah; one sister, Elvania Swayze and husband Dolen of Okemah; four grandchildren, Chris Lewis, Lynsey Zamora and husband Noe, Travis Tyra and Shalan Tyra and fiancé Jimmy Dockery; three great-grandchildren, Jordan Lewis, Mika Winters and Madi Lewis; one sister in law, Wanda and Billy Dean Price of Wetumka; mother in law, Margaret Burkes of Wetumka and several nieces and nephews.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Terry Swayze, Jerry Swayze, Bobby Green, Skeeter Smith, Jimmy Price and Allen Chastain.
Honorary bearers will be former co-workers of Transok.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah with Rev. Joe Lunsford officiating.
Gerald Smith
Gerald W. Smith, 91, longtime Seminole resident died, Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 in Seminole.
Gerald was born Jan. 20, 1922 in Ardmore, Okla. to Everett Parker and Viola (Proffer) Smith.
Gerald was a longtime Seminole businessman who owned and operated a steam-cleaning business for many years, in later years he owned coin-op laundries owning the "Pink Laundry" for many years in Seminole.
He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole and was a former member of the Seminole Lions Club.
Gerald also served one term on the Seminole City Council.
Gerald also served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, he served in the 13th Fighter Command of the U.S. Army in New Guinea and Southern Philippines Luzon.
Gerald married Theresa Sietsema on Aug. 12, 1944 in Palo Pinto, Tex.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 69 years, Theresa Smith of the home in Seminole; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Tom and Shirlene Smith and Paul and Sandy Smith of Seminole, Okla. and a daughter and son-in-law, Deanna and Dan Hamilton of Seminole along with grandsons, Wade Smith of Stafford, Va. and Kyle Smith of Seminole, Okla. and two granddaughters Shannell Smith of Mesquite, Tex. and Janice Harjo and her husband Rob of Seminole, Okla.; three great grandsons, Carter Riley and Kameron Riley of Mesquite, Tex., Seth Harjo of Seminole and great granddaughter, Megan Harjo of Seminole.
Graveside funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at the Maple Grove Cemetery with Military Honors. Matt Pollock will officiate.

Martha Smith
Martha Smith, 75, longtime Seminole resident died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 in Edmond, Okla.
She was born in Ansbach, Germany on April 11, 1937 to Anton and Katharina (Gunther) Popp.
Martha moved to the United States from Germany in 1958 and later to Seminole in 1973.
She was a homemaker while her husband Edward Smith was alive. After his death in 1993 she went to work for the Wrangler Corporation here in Seminole, Oklahoma and worked for nine years.
She loved to swim with her friends at Seminole State College; she also loved to go shopping when stores had sales.
She married Edward Smith in Asnbach, Germany on Nov. 1, 1957.
A brother-in-law, Gunther Held in Germany, and several nieces and nephews and many close friends survive Martha.
Funeral services are planned for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Terry Pearce officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole.
Casket bearers will be Michael Widell, Jeremy McGuire, Patrick Smith, James Smith, Ryan Smith and Colton Smith.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Naomi Smith
Services for Naomi Ruth Smith, 78 will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Wewoka. The Rev. Martin and Donna Gustin will be officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Naomi passed away March 10, 2013, at home.
She was born Aug. 19, 1934, in Wewoka to Jess B. and Della Ruth (Pearce) Smith.
She grew up in Seminole County, attending Ong School, and graduated from New Lima High School in May 1952.
She and Dewey Dwight Smith were married Dec. 28, 1952, at Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Wewoka.
Her husband was in the Air Force, and together they lived in many places, including Mississippi, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Newfoundland, Canada.
He was stationed in Lubbock, Tex. in 1968, where Naomi remained after her husband's death in 1973.
Naomi worked for First National Bank of Lubbock, where she served as one of the organization's vice presidents until her retirement in the mid-1990's.
In 2000, when she returned to Wewoka, she was employed by First National Bank of Wewoka, where she remained until January 2006.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two brothers, Jimmy Dale Smith, and infant Nathaniel Smith.
She is survived by three children; Rhonda Smith of Wewoka; Dewey Smith, and wife Adrianne of Penrose, Colo., and Barbara Poff and husband Ricky of Wewoka; two grandchildren, Jenna Madron and husband Wayne of Wewoka, and Jay Poff and wife Kristen of Manitoba, Canada; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Abbigail Madron of Wewoka; two sisters, Jessie Lee Hood and husband Marvin and Essie Barnhart and husband Byrul all of Wewoka; two brothers, Edmond Smith, and wife Ester, and Dennis Smith, all of Wewoka; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Honorary pallbearers are Jay Poff, Kale Smith, Zane Smith, Jim Chaddick, Max Smith, and Mike Hood.
Pallbearers are Wayne Madron, Joby Barnhart, Mark Barnhart, David Barnhart, Bart Smith, and Joseph Smith.

Stephen Smith
Former Seminole resident, Stephen Keith "Steve" Smith, 50, of Ames, Okla. died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at Bass Medical Center in Enid, Okla.
He was born May 19, 1963 in Prague, Okla.
He attended school in Hennessey, Okla. and worked as a Hydro Tester for well services in the Oklahoma Oilfields.
He is survived by his parents, Shirley and Ray Carson of Ames; his father, Charley H. Smith of Mo, ; one son, Jason Smith of Ames; two daughters, Brandy Peters of Penn. and Morgan Smith of Sudan, Tex.; two brothers, Jeff Smith of Ames and Kurt Smith of Wyalusing, Penn.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 at the Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole with Chris Stinnett officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole.
The family will receive friends and family Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Sylvia Smith
Sylvia Mae (Goodson) Smith passed away on Aug. 13, 2013 in Wewoka, Okla.
Sylvia was born on July 26, 1920 in Lamar, Okla. to Marion Goodson and Elizabeth Arthur Goodson.
Sylvia graduated from Lamar Public Schools.
Sylvia married Leroy Smith in Horntown, Okla. on June 4, 1939. The couple made their home in Lamar, Okla. most of their married lives and raised four children, Don, Doug, Connie, and Marilyn.
Sylvia worked for many years at the Lamar Senior Center as an Outreach Coordinator.
She also assisted with various community events throughout the years in the Lamar area.
She enjoyed painting and reading. She also loved to cook and spend time with her family.
She was a member of the Wewoka Church of Christ.
Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy who passed away May 31, 2005; and great-grandchildren, Raelynn Smith, Russell Lee Smith and Sawyer Levi Smith; great-great grandchild, Blake Austin Miller; brothers, Wesley Goodson and Gene Goodson.
Sylvia is survived by her children, Donald "Don" Smith of Henryetta, Connie Bennett and husband Bruce of Ada, and Marilyn Kincade and husband Rowdy of Wewoka; grandchildren, Lynn Smith of Holdenville, Bryan Smith of Holdenville, Michelle (Smith) and Terry Don West of Henryetta; Kathy (Smith) Bailey of Henryetta; Brandi (Bennett) and Brian Adams of Seminole; Keith Kincade of Wewoka, Kevin Kincade of Seminole, and Kerry and Jennifer Kincade of Wewoka; great-grandchildren, Chance Doty, Trey West, Kade and Kanon Bailey, Kassie, Katelyn and husband Matt, Kaliann, Kendell and husband Bret, Khanaa, Madison, Stevi, and Elizabeth Ann, Jackson, Edie, Sonny, and Ivy Kincade, Gracie, Ava, and Marin Adams and Angel, BryAnn and Cole Smith of Holdenville; great-great grandchildren, Carter and Tradyn Doty and Lily Kate Logan; nieces and nephews John Goodson and wife Beverly, Jack Goodson and wife Sheryl, Jo Giancotti and husband Al, Mark Goodson and wife Debbie, Mike Goodson and wife Denise as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 at the Church of Christ in Wewoka, Okla. James Branscum will officiate with Aaron Alsbrook assisting. Interment will follow at Lamar Cemetery in Lamar, Okla.
