Farmer/Rancher Hays Stafford passed away Friday, June 28th, 2013 at his residence in Wewoka, Okla.
He was born in Danville, Ark. on May 17, 1914 to Garfie and Berta (Roberts) Stafford.
He was the first born of eleven children, four brothers and six sisters.
He attended Bethel school in Hughes County.
Hays married Naomia (Bradley) Stafford on Dec. 14, 1935 and three children were born to this union; Norman, Charlotte and Ronald.
Naomi preceded him in death May 10, 2000 and he married Lucille Poole, May 2, 2004.
Hays worked for Amarada Oil Company for seven years.
He later rented and bought land to run a cattle operation for the rest of his life.
He also served as Chairman for the McAlester Production Credit Association.
Preceding Hays in death are his parents; wife, Naomia of 65 years; brothers, Ray Stafford, Bob Stafford, Jimmie Stafford and Joe Stafford; sisters, Doris Jean Lovelace, Ruby Paslay and Mary Ruth Stafford
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Stafford of the home; three children, Norma Jennings and husband Ralph of Wewoka, Charlotte Adams and husband Brent of Amarillo, Tex., Ronald Stafford and wife Nancy of Wewoka; six grandchildren, Keith and Stephanie Jennings of Wewoka, Okla., Matt and Rena Adams of Amarillo, Tex., David and Elise Hairston of Amarillo, Tex., Steve and Sharla Adams of Amarillo, Tex., Will and Angela Stafford of Holdenville, Okla., and Jared and Tracie Stafford of Wewoka; fifteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Will Stafford, Jared Stafford, Keith Jennings, Cody Jennings, David Hairston and Matt Adams.
Honorary Pallbearers are Matt Adams, Steve Adams, Dale Stafford, Jim Stafford, Shane Azlin, James Stafford, and John Stafford.
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 1, 2013 at First United Methodist Church, Wewoka, Okla. with Rev. Susan Rice Officiating, and Brent Adams Assisting. Interment will follow in the Yeager Cemetery, Yeager, Okla.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

He also has 15 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Ray Stafford
Ray Stafford was born on June 24, 1933, in Holdenville, Okla., to Garfie and Berta (Roberts) Stafford.
He went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 79 years.
Ray attended Spaulding schools, where he met his wife, Shirley Prince.
They were married in Holdenville, Okla., on May 27, 1961. Ray and Shirley bought a farm north of Wewoka, where they raised their family.
He served as Seminole County District 3 Commissioner for twenty years, but his lifelong occupation was farming and ranching.
Ray loved spending time with his family, tending his cattle, and farming his land.
Survivors include two sons, Dale Stafford and wife Shelle, and Jim Stafford and wife Jennie; and one daughter, Lynn Azlin and husband Shane, all of Wewoka.
He is also survived by one brother, Hays Stafford of Wewoka, and three sisters, Jo Ann White of Fort Worth, Tex.; Helen Pennington of Coffeyville, Tex.; and Winifred Hall, of Oceanside, Calif.; grandchildren, Colton, Kelsey, Carli, and Cole Russell Stafford; Dayna and husband Jarrod Wood, Dex Azlin, Shaina Moon and husband Justin, and Paige Azlin; Tyler, Swade, Jamie, and Brandi Stafford; and Taylor Jo Adams; great-grandchildren Emma and Kade Wood, David, Lauryn, and Aleeah Brown, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of fifty years, Shirley; and brothers and sisters, Bob Stafford, Jim Stafford, Joe Stafford, Mary Ruth Stafford, Doris Lovelace, and Ruby Paslay.
Pall bearers will be Colton Stafford, Cole Stafford, Tyler Stafford, Swade Stafford, Dex Azlin, and Ronnie Stafford.
Honorary pall bearers will be Henry Baxter, Roy Sisco, Charles Sisco, James Reid Stafford, Grant Smith, and Dakota Smith.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday May 3, 2013 at the Wewoka Church of Christ with Aaron Alsbrook officiating and burial will follow at the Holdenville Cemetery.

Terry Starr
Wake service was held at the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 15, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Houston Tiger officiating.
On Tuesday April 16, 2013, he will be taken to Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist Church at 4:00 p.m. with a wake starting at 7;30 p.m.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev Houston Tiger and Rev. Mitchell Taylor officiating.
Terry Lee Starr age 48, died Friday, April 12, 2013 at Holdenville Hospital.
He was born April 22, 1964 to Daniel and Nell (Billie) Starr.
He attended New Lima High School.
Preceding him in death are his father, Daniel Starr; three brothers, David, Danny and Louie Starr; grandparents, Eli and Lena Starr, Joe and Louisa Billie; six aunts; and five uncles.
Survivors include his companion, Elizabeth Tilley of the home; mother, Nell Starr of Wewoka; two daughters, Teresa Starr and Stefanie Starr of Seminole; two sisters, LaQuita Starr of Konawa and Robin Starr of Duncan; one brother, Michael Starr of Wewoka; and two grandsons.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Powell, Jamie Powerll, Bryan Powell, Benny Tiger, Gregory Tiger, and Jimmy Tiger.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Michael Starr, Matthew Armstrong, John Starr, John Billie, John Maples, William Phillips, Stanley Johnson II, Shannon Starr, Wallace Cully, and James Starr.

Victor Steele
Victor P. Steele was born Jan. 31, 1943 in Holdenville, Okla. and died Aug. 6, 2013 in Tulsa, Okla.
Victor was a Pharmacist for 35 years in Wewoka, Okla.
There will be a visitation Friday, Aug. 9, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Okla.
Funeral ceremony will be Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at United Methodist in Wewoka.
There will be a luncheon held prior to the services at United Methodist Church.
Victor Steele
Victor Patterson "Pat" Steele passed from this life on Aug. 6, 2013, at St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, at the First Methodist Church in Wewoka under the direction of Floral Haven of Tulsa. Interment will follow in Holdenville Cemetery.
The only son of Frank Patterson and Charlcie Young Steele, Pat was born Jan. 31, 1943, in Holdenville.
Both parents, an infant sister, and a niece, Lisa Adams, preceded him in death.
He is survived by four sisters, Louse Adams, Tulsa; Betty Caldwell and husband Ron, Tulsa; Linda Carpenter and husband Jim, Shawnee; and Deanna Steele, San Francisco.
Three nephews and three nieces also survive their "Uncle Pat": David Caldwell, Ft Scott, Kansas; Jay Carpenter, Tulsa; Zachary Judkins, San Francisco; Susan Ward, Tulsa; Beth Holland, San Francisco; and Jill Lee, Flower Mound, Texas.
Other survivors include several great and great -great nieces and nephews, Uncle Ray Steele of Holdenville, several cousins and many dear friends.
