Ormal Wilkerson

Ormal Dee Wilkerson, 72 year-old, longtime Seminole, Okla. resident passed from this life on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Okla.

He was born April 16, 1941 in Seminole, to parents, Hershel Woodrow Wilkerson and Lois Lee (Summers) Wilkerson.

Wilkerson graduated from Seminole High School in 1962 and went on to join the United States Army Reserve.

On Dec. 9, 1986 he married Diana Nadine (Hodges) Wilkerson in Gainesville, Tex.

The couple attended the Amazing Grace Pentecostal Church in Seminole.

Wilkerson retired from the United States Army Reserve. He also retired from Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City where he worked as a sheet metal mechanic.

Mr. Wilkerson had a tremendous knowledge about military aircraft.

He later worked for about five years at the Trading Post Casino.

Mr. Wilkerson loved to fish all of the Oklahoma lakes and always had very interesting stories to tell.

Most of all he was a wonderful caring, loving, husband, father, brother, papa, and friend who will be missed by many.

Survivors include his wife of almost 27 years, Diana Wilkerson of the home; two sons, Kelly Wilkerson of Eufaula, Okla. and Billy Barneck of Seminole; two daughters, Shelly Wilkerson of Salt Lake City, Utah and Leslie Gregg of Konawa, Okla.; one brother, Jimmie Wilkerson of Shawnee, Okla.; one uncle, Delbert Bullard of Shawnee; one aunt, Hazel Summers of Seminole; nine grandchildren, Courtney Gregg, Derrick Gregg, (Twins) Abbie Barneck and Julie Barneck, Megan Barneck, Eli Barneck, Jason Loving, Kelsey Loving, and Sidney Loving; he is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends.

Mr. Wilkerson went to Heaven to be reunited with family who has gone before including his parents; one son, Loren Dee Wilkerson; one brother, Elroy Wilkerson; his mother and father-in-law; and a host of other family.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Pastor Pat Coffey will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery north of Seminole.

Casket bearers will be Gil Madron, Billy Barneck, Jason Loving, Larry Bullard, Jeff Wilkerson and Mike Wilkerson.

Honorary bearers will be Gerald Huff and Bill Reese.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.

Albert Williams

Albert Neal "Boots" Williams, 82, died Saturday, March 23, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Okla.

He was born Feb. 3, 1931, in Seminole, Okla. to Samuel N. and Luella (Cole) Williams.

He lived his entire life in Seminole with the exception of his 20 years spent in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant in 1970; during his service time, he was an aircraft mechanic and won awards many times for being the best mechanic on the base.

After his military service, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years.

He had attended and graduated from Pleasant Grove School in 1949. He was a member of the Non-Commissioned Officers Association.

He married Tukiko Fujii on July 3, 1965 in Sapporo, Japan.

He is survived by his sister, Betty Posey of Seminole, Okla.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Tukiko Fujii; a sister, Patricia Landreth; and brothers, Lt. Roy E. Williams and Major Loyd E. Williams.

Graveside services with military honors will be held in the Veterans Section at Maple Grove Cemetery at 10:30 a.m, Monday April 1, 2013.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donation be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole

Elam Williams

Elam Jean "Jean" Williams of Wewoka, passed away June 25, 2013 in Oklahoma City.

Jean was born Feb. 3, 1929 in Sentinel, Okla. to Emil Frederick Anderson and Nellie Maybel Sappington Anderson.

She attended Sentinel Public Schools and graduated from Sentinel High School in May 1947.

Jean met her husband, of over 60 years, Nolen Vandale "Dale" Williams at Sentinel High School as Dale completed high school upon his return from World War ll.

Jean and Dale were married in Oklahoma City on Sept. 2, 1947.

They moved to Weatherford while Dale completed his degree in Pharmacy at Southwestern State.

Dale and Jean moved to Wewoka in 1952.

Jean was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

As a fun loving person, she enjoyed traveling with her sister and special niece Karen.

She enjoyed summer camp as a volunteer for Camp Fire Girls.

Jean will be remembered by her girlfriends and bridge group as an excellent bridge player as she spent many an afternoons in their company over the years.

Her sons remember the many days she pulled water skiers behind the boat at Wewoka Lake while housework and laundry could wait.

Jean work at Allan's Dress Shop in Wewoka and the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Williams; her parents, Emil and Nellie Anderson; brother, Hilmar Anderson; and her sister, Marie Maley.

She is survived by her two sons, Keith Williams of Wewoka, Daryl Williams and wife, Joanne of Edmond; three grandchildren, Matthew and wife, Nikki of Germany, Seaman Thomas Williams of Washington D.C. and Daniel Williams of Seminole; a great-granddaughter, Dorothy Williams of Eltville, Germany; her niece, Karen Anderson of Oklahoma City; nephew, Mark Maley and wife, Becky of Sparks, Nevada.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Susan Rice of First United Methodist Church officiating.

Arrangements are by Stout-Phillips Funeral Home

Mildred Willyard

Mildred Christine Willyard, 79, Civil Service Colonel's Private Secretary, passed away Monday.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 9am to 9pm at the Green Hill Funeral Home of Owasso.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 2pm, with a visitation from 12 noon until the beginning of service at The Leonard United Methodist Church, 16820 S. 159th E. Ave. Leonard, Ok 74043.

Patrick Wilson

Patrick Wilson, 75, longtime Seminole, Okla. resident died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Seminole Care and Rehab Center in Seminole.

He was formerly from Asher, Okla.

He was born Aug. 9, 1937 in Pink, Okla. to Louis Turner and Sarah (Sanders) Wilson.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He was a retired truck driver for Miller Trucking Co. and had also worked as a corrections officer.

He is survived by five daughters, Becky Wilson, Sarah Wilson, Samantha Williams and Cynthia Sellers all of Seminole, Okla. and Tamatha Harbert of Pueblo West, Colo.; his former spouse Donna Wilson of Seminole, Okla.; two brothers, Olen Wilson and Gene Wilson both of Tecumseh, Okla., fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Rose Anne Graves and Faye Turnbow.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday May 20, 2013 at the Lord's Community Church at 501 N. 5th St. in Seminole, Okla. with Rev. Jimmy Moreland officiating.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Okla.

Wanita Wimberly

Wanita Wimberly died on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013.

She was born on March 30, 1930 in Big Cabin, Okla. to Elmer and Clara Tippett.

She married Homer Allen Wimberly on Sept. 14, 1946 in Muleshoe, Tex. They moved to Cromwell in 1968.

She was a retired beautician and was on the election board. She also served as Mayor of Cromwell for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Wimberly.

She is survived by her four children, Danny Wimberly of Cromwell, Robert Wimberly of Norman, Sherrye Rahmanzadeh of Edmond, and Ted Wimberly of Wills Pointe, Tex.; 11 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Cromwell with interment to follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole.

Services are under the direction of Memorial Park Funeral Home 13313 N Kelley Ave; Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
