Bobby Joe Spears age 39 years of Wewoka passed away in Shawnee, Monday, March 12, 2012.
Born November 11, 1972 in Harper, Kansas to Edward Francis Spears and Bonnie Deonna (Allen) Spears. He graduated from Chaparrall High School in Anthony, Kansas. Bob then continued his education and graduated with a bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University. He then attended Concord Baptist Institute Seminary school.
Bobby married Cassie Michele Palmer October 25, 2003. He was an avid OSU sports fan and enjoyed hunting, playing guitar, singing, visiting and getting to know people. Bobby was the Pastor of the Mission Home Missionary Baptist Church of Wewoka. He enjoyed playing ball with Owen and spending time with his family and friends. Bobby was a very helpful and positive person who will be missed greatly by all.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Marion and Leona Spears and grandfather Jessie Beryl Allen.
Bobby is survived by his wife Cassie, children; Owen Wesley, Avery Grace, Isaac Daniel and an unborn child all of Wewoka, parents; Edward Francis and Bonnie Deonna Spears of Harper, KS, sisters; Ronica Deon and husband Randy Rhude of Platte City, MO, Leona June Spears and husband Shwan Ali of Keller, TX and brother Eddy Lee Spears and wife Vanessa of Wichita, KS.
Mother and father in law; Dan and Dianne Palmer of Mustang, OK and brother in law; Jeff Palmer of Mustang, Ok.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Wewoka First Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Raines officiating. Burial will be 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Stillwater, OK.
Pallbearers are Eddy Spears, Shwan Ali, Randy Rhude, Mick McCann, Dave Eslinger, and Justin Dills. Honorary Pallbearers are the Men of Mission Home Baptist Church, Wewoka.
Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Wewoka, Oklahoma.
Lewis Bond
Services for Lewis Vern Bond, 95 of Quinlan were held Monday January 30th at IOOF Cemetery.
He died Jan 27, 2012 in Sulphur Springs.
He was born in Sasakwa, to Monte and DeSae Bond on March 27, 1916.
Lewis served our country during WWII in the 45th infantry, Army National Guard. He was part of the Thunderbirds and fought in Italy, North Africa, France, and Germany.
He was preceded in death by his parents Monte and DeSae Bond, brothers, Tuss Bond and H.D. Bond; sisters Aunt Doodle Bond and Florence Virginia Bond.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Wilson Bond, daughter Connie Lannom of Pottsboro, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and sister Willeen Harrison.
John Bonser
Rev. John Clawson Bonser, 73, Bradenton, Florida, died at home on Jan 29, 2012.
John was born on May 15, 1938 to the late Howard and Nina Bonser.
He attended the University of Tennessee and graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 1959. He received both a Bachelor of Divinity degree and a Master of Sacred Theology degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
He was ordained by the United Lutheran Church in America in 1962, and served three parishes in Pennsylvania.
After moving to Bradenton in 1977, he became a Registered Investment Advisor with Raymond, James and Associates and was a Certified Financial Planner.
John was an avid photographer and a member of the Island Gallery West on Anna Maria Island for many years.
He was an active member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Holmes Beach, FL, and was involved with All Island Denominations and Inquiring Minds.
Among John’s survivors are his wife, Susan; his son, Donald of Orlando; his daughter, Amy (Matt) Valenzisi of Raleigh, NC; brother, and Dr. Curtis (Jane) Bonser of Seminole.
Memorial services were held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Holmes Beach with inurnment in the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church memorial garden.
Gladys Booker
Gladys (Manasco) Booker was born Sept 5, 1910 in Umpire, Arkansas to Rufus A. and Mary J. (Faulkner) Manasco.
She passed from this life Jan 8, 2012 in Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 101.
After graduating from high school, Gladys moved to Antlers and married George Robert (Jack) Booker in November 1939.
They made their home in the Hall community where they became members of the Hall Free Will Baptist Church. She was a devout Christian woman and even taught a Sunday School class throughout much of her Golden Years.
Gladys was also a member of the Hall Home Demonstration Club and the Hospital Auxiliary.
Gladys received the state OK DHS Ed Birchall Volunteer of the Year Award for her volunteer work at Antlers Public School where she helped children with their reading, even well into her 90s.
She was gifted and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and making custom plates; both for necessity and for pleasure to give as gifts or enter in the County Fair. At last count, she had quilted over 100 quilts.
Gladys is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus & Mary Manasco; husband, George R. Booker; three brothers; and six sisters.
She is survived by her son, Paul Booker and wife Paula (Hauk) Booker of Plano, TX; daughters, Zelpha Hadley and husband Don Hadley of Earlsboro, OK, Sherry Singleton and husband Wayne Singleton of Yanush, OK, and Aletha Burrage and husband Mike Burrage of Antlers, OK. Ten Grandchildren, Paul Booker, Jr. and wife Erin, Pennie (Booker) Marshall and husband Alan, Teri (Hadley) Nutt and husband Jason, Jill (Hadley) Rawls and husband Eric, Jon Marc Hadley and wife Amy, Wes Singleton and wife Mary Beth, Steven Singleton, Melonie (Singleton) Parish and husband David, Sean Burrage and wife Carole, David Burrage and wife Heather. Seventeen Great-Grandchildren include: Alex Marshall, Lance Nutt, Timber Nutt, Derrek Mitchell, Tia Mitchell, Daison Hadley, Molly Singleton, Chloe Singleton, Tony Parish, Josh Parish, Marcus Parish, Dallas Parish, Abbie Parish, Truman Burrage, Carter Burrage, Jack Burrage, Blair Burrage. Two Great-Great Grandchildren: Bryson Mitchell and Katy Parish.
Family Night will be from 7:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, Jan 10, 2012 at Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Antlers.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan 11, 2012 at Hall Free Will Baptist Church. Officiating the service will be Brother Gary Everett and Brother Randall Miller. Music will include Special Selections by Wes & Mary Beth Singleton.
Pallbearers will be Paul Booker, Jr., Jon Marc Hadley, Wes Singleton, Steven Singleton, Sean Burrage and David Burrage.
Honorary Pallbearers will be David Parish, Eric Rawls, Alan Marshall, Jason Nutt, Derrek Mitchell.
Interment will be at Hall Cemetery, Hall Community, Oklahoma.

Hal Botsford
Hal Jon Botsford, 52, longtime Seminole resident died Monday, March 26, 2012 in Seminole.
Hal was born Dec. 8, 1959 in Salamanca, New York to Marvin James and Alix Nancy (Waite) Botsford.
He is survived by parents, Marvin and Alix Botsford of Seminole; one son, Adam Botsford of Oklahoma City; daughter, Tori Botsford of Florida; one brother, Mark Botsford of McAlester; sister, Kim Chaffin of Tecumseh, and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Alice Botsford and Oscar and Edna Waite.
Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Immanuel Fellowship Church on Highway # 3 in Seminole. Pastor Tim Tate will officiate at the service.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Rosalie Bounds
Rosalie (Rains) Howard Bounds, age sixty-six and lifelong resident of Konawa, died Thursday, Feb 23, 2012 at Norman Regional Hospital.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, Feb 27th at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Rev. Arthur Carpitcher will officiate.
A wake service is set for 6:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb 26th at the Chapel.
Pallbearers are Shane Impson, Mike Taylor, John Suchanek, Glen Dale Bounds, Dale Hankins, and Frank Kelley.
Honorary pallbearers are Cody Key and Bryan Bentley.
Rosalie was born on Oct 26, 1945 in Konawa to David Edgar Rains and Mattie (Morgan) Rains Carpitcher.
She married Jerry Bounds on April 26, 1979 in Konawa.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Bounds of the home; three sons Raymond Kirby Howard of Shawnee, Jeremy Bounds, of Konawa and Jonathan Bounds, also of Konawa; two daughters, Sherry Bentley of Hitchcock, Texas, and LaDonna Howard of Konawa; two brothers, Charles Rains of Ravenden, Arkansas, and Arthur Carpitcher of Konawa; one sister, Christine Leatherman of Saginaw, Texas; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David Rains and Mattie Carpitcher; three sons, Jimmy Don Howard, Gerald Howard, and Darrel Howard; two brothers, Eddie Ray Rains and Leroy Rains; and one sister, Shirley Rains.
Martha Bowlegs
Wake services for Martha Ann (Tiger) Bowlegs are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 at Sand Creek Eufaula, with Rev Edwin Jimboy, Rev. Houston Tiger, and Rev. Jimsey Harjo officiating, burial to follow at Tiger Family Cemetery, Wewoka.
The body will be taken to the church at 4:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2012.
She was born March 9, 1943 in Talihina, OK to the late Joe Tiger and Annie Hulbutta Tiger.
She died Aug. 15, 2012 at Elmwood Manor, Wewoka at the age of 69 years.
She married David Bowlegs April 1977 in Oklahoma City.
Preceding her in death are her parents; sister, Judy Cloud and two infants siblings.
Survivors included her husband, Dave; children, Joe Bowlegs and Iwana Bowlegs both of Wewoka; nine grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Elizabeth Buckner, Mary Burgess, Houston Tiger, Nellie Tiger, Nora Jacobs, and Myrna Merrit.
Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews.
Pallbearers will be Francis Miller, Edwin Deere, Cleo Cloud, Bennie Tiger, Henson Lena, and Mike Merritt.
Arrangements are by Stout -Phillips Funeral Home in Wewoka.
Sonya Boyd
Sonya Lee Boyd was born May 12, 1938 in Stillwater to Frank Lee Bellis and Laverna Lewis Bellis.
She died Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the age of 73 in Okemah.
She attended Perry School and later received her GED in Okemah.
She worked and retired from the Senior Citizen’s Center in Okemah.
She is preceded in death by her father and one son, Richard.
She is survived by her mother, Laverna Lewis Bellis of Seminole; four sons, William C. Boyd of Vallejo, CA, David A. Boyd of Oklahoma City, Lloyd A. Boyd II of Belleville, AR and Roy L. Boyd of Ojai, CA; one daughter, Jamie Likowski of Okemah and two sisters, Laketa Marty of Norman and Jana Campbell of Seminole.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Okemah.
Daniel Wesley Bradley
Daniel Wesley Bradley, age 95 and a former resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at his home in Ada, Oklahoma.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery. Rev. Bob Payne will officiate.
Daniel was born on May 31, 1916 in Konawa to George Bradley and Ellen (Seay) Bradley. He married Kathryn Richards on April 6, 1940 in Konawa. He was a truck driver for the oilfield industry.
He is survived by one son, Larry Don and Nancy Bradley of Meeker, Oklahoma; and one daughter, Nita Ruth Bradley of Jacksonville Beach, Florida; five grandchildren, Lynaea and Michael McGee of Ada, Sarah and Matt Lynch of Meeker, Sally and Brandon Fuller of Weatherford, Lindsay and Shawn Morgan of Tecumseh, and Chase Coleman of Tecumseh; seven great-grandchildren, Austin and Jaden McGee of Ada, Ajay and Brooklyn Lynch of Meeker, Jonathan and Ryder Fuller of Weatherford, and Woodrow Morgan of Tecumseh.
