Funeral Services for Wewoka resident Willie Mae (Dennis) Easley are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Wewoka Church of Christ with Pastor Ricky Burton officiating and burial to follow at Westwood Cemetery
She was born on March 18, 1931 to Sylvester and Dinah (Young) Dennis.
She departed this life on Saturday, July 14, 2012 in Oklahoma City at the age of 81 years.
Willie attended Douglas High School in Wewoka and received an Associated degree in teaching from Seminole Junior College.
She previously worked for Boyce Manor Nursing Home and Morgan's Mug.
She was a member of Cedar Street Church of Christ Wewoka.
Preceding her in death are her parents and son, Henry Thompson; four brothers, Jimmy, Tracy, Lee and Henry and one sister, Mahalia.
Survivors include children, Edna Partee of Wewoka, Dave Thompson of Norman, and Nancy Eaton of Seminole; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a special friend Rev. Billy Renfro and a host of other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are by Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Elva Edgell
Elva Mae Edgell, 77 year-old Seminole resident died Monday, Jan 1, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was born in Ozone, Arkansas to parents T.G. and Alice Griffith on Aug 7, 1934.
Elva was a full time wife and mother to her children until they were grown; then she worked as a circulation manager for the Phoenix Sun newspaper for 10 years.
Elva was preceded in death by her parents, T.G. and Alice Griffith, one son, Stacy Lee Edgell, two sisters, Hazel Holland and Susie Edgell and one son-in-law, John Ryder.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Edgell of the home; two daughters, Joanna Sue Ryder of Page, Arizona, Mary Ellen Maestas of Battle Mountain, Nevada; two sons, James Cates of Page, Arizona, Charlie Edgell of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one brother, Robert Griffith of Seminole, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan 7, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Pastor Rev. Christopher W. Meek will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Edgell, Bruce Edgell, Jerry Edgell, Mark Edgell, Tony Edgell and Walter Edgell.
Cheryl Edwards
Cheryl Edwards, 58, of Shawnee died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at home.
She was born June 10, 1954 to John W. and Martha (Ellis) Edwards in Seminole.
She was raised in the Little area and was a 1972 graduate of Strother High School.
After high school she attended Draughons Business School.
She was a lifelong resident of the Seminole and Shawnee areas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Glenn Wayne Edwards and James Lee Edwards and nephew, Troy Dean Edwards.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Kennedy of Shawnee; three sisters, Atheda Fletcher of Oklahoma City, Charlene Whittington, of Shawnee and Gilreath Godwin of Knoxville, Iowa; and brother, John Laddis of Shawnee.
Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012 at Cooper Funeral Home with Allan Colbert officiating.
Tribal rites by Governor George Blanchard; Burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
Thurman Edwards
Thurman Henry Edwards, Sr., longtime Seminole resident died Saturday, March 24, 2012 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 89.
He was born April 26, 1922 in Shawnee, to parents Ben Edwards and Ida (Grounds) Edwards.
Following High School, Edwards went on to receive his associate degree.
At the age of 20, he enlisted to serve in the United States Army during WWII.
Later he worked as president of Edwards Supply Tank Company and Thurmax Oil Field Supply.
Edwards married Ima Mae Haught on April 28, 1942 in Seminole.
Survivors include one son, Thurman Edwards Jr. of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Angela Ledford of Many, Louisiana and Sandra Edwards of Norman; four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Edwards is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Ida Edwards, and wife, Ima Mae Edwards.
Cremations services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
A memorial graveside service will be announced at a later date.
Marie Eischeid
Marie Margaret (Nicklas) Eischeid, 83, a resident of Konawa, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas.
A Wake service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2nd at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Fr. Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B. will officiate.
Pallbearers are Mike Wickwire and Justin Blakely.
Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 22, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to Clarence Nicklas and Margaret (Kundermann) Nicklas.
She attended St. Mary’s Academy in Oklahoma City.
She married Jim Eischeid on Nov. 3, 1984 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She was an engineering bookkeeper.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice Blakely of Springtown, Texas, and Margaret "Maggie" Wickwire of Kingwood, Texas; one brother, Robert Nicklas of Springfield, Missouri; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Margaret Nicklas; her husband, Jim Eischeid; and one sister, Delores Kersey.
Amby Elkins
Amby Roberts Elkins, 51 of Holdenville passed away on Sept. 24, 2012 in Holdenville.
Amby was born on Aug. 9, 1961 in Holdenville to James "Jimmy" Clyde Roberts and Eula Faye Leach Rinehart.
Amby attended beauty school in Haltom, Texas. Amby loved making people beautiful by styling their hair. She owned and operated her own businesses in Fort Worth, Texas and Wewoka.
Amby most cherished spending time with family and friends.
She always had a smile on her face when she was working and enjoyed making others laugh.
In her free time she enjoyed going to the lake and camping. Amby was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.
Amby is preceded in death by her father and one brother, James Ray Roberts.
Survivors include her mother, Faye Rinehart and husband James of Holdenville; children, Cheyne Dennis Elkins of Holdenville and Dustin Charles Elkins of Holdenville; grandson, Rowdy Garret Elkins; siblings, Gwenda Faye Roberts Summy and husband Jerry of Hurst, Texas, Sandra Johnston and husband Jeff of Midland, Texas, Jason Rinehart and wife Jamie of Midwest City, Jimmy Leon Roberts and wife Jan of Houston, Texas; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service has been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Holdenville with Bro. Jerry Summy officiating.
Pallbearers will be Cheyne Elkins, Dustin Elkins, Quent Thionnet, Cory Martin, Pat Brown, Jeremy Wright and Vinny Coats.
Honorary bearers will be Clyde Collis, Jack Sherry, Jason Rinehart, and Cecil Moore.
Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.

Donald Ellis
Donald Ray Ellis, 66, lifelong Seminole area resident died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 in Oklahoma City.
He was born Oct. 25, 1946 in the Little Community north of Seminole to Marvin and Ella Mae (Estep) Ellis.
He grew up in the Little Community and attended Strothers schools and graduated from Strother High School in 1964.
He was formerly a yard foreman at Terrell’s Lumber Company in Prague.
He married Nina Ellis on Oct. 25, 1965 at Little; she preceded him in death on June 2, 2002.
He is survived by two daughters, Amy Porter and Kim Ramsey both of Seminole; four brothers, Bill Ellis, Dean Ellis and Carl Ellis all from the Little Community north of Seminole, and James Ellis of Prague; two sisters, Twana Dodson of Maud and Darlene Aldridge of Cromwell, and four grandchildren.
His parents, his wife, Nina and his sister, Caroline Shivers, preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 at the Little Cemetery with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.

Linnie Ellison
Linnie Mae Ellison, 90, longtime Seminole resident, died Friday, July 27, 2012 in Sulphur.
Linnie was born May 22, 1922 in Hewitt, Oklahoma to Andrew Harrison and Loucil (Thaxton) Wood.
Linnie was a homemaker and came to Seminole in 1946 from Oklahoma City.
Linnie married Fred Ellison on Oct. 14, 1946 in Seminole.
Linnie proudly served in the U.S. Army as a W.A.C. She was a sergeant and served from June 30, 1943 to Dec. 15, 1945.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Ellison.
She is survived by one brother, JR Wood of Farmington, New Mexico and a sister, Winnie Gibson of Arlington, Texas.
Funeral services are planned for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Matt Pollock will officiate at the funeral.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
