Jacob Lee Harjo, age 31 of Wewoka passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21st, 2012 in Oklahoma City
He was born June 23, 1981 in Ada to Gary Lee Harjo and Barbara Pilkington Harjo.
Jacob attended Wewoka schools and at the time of his death he worked in sales for teleflora.
He received a degree in cosmetologist.
Jacob was stage assistance with Carpenter square theatre and active in the live theater community.
His passion was cooking, crocheting, knitting, and spending time with his friends and family.
Jacob is preceded in death by his father, Gary; and sister, Deena Johnson.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Johnson Harjo; brothers and sisters, Curtis Johnson of Guymon, Andy Johnson of Seminole, Ann Deatherage of Seminole, Cindy Burton of Yukon, and Vicki Lockett of Harrah; nieces and nephews, Channing Lockett, Richard Lockett, and Kieffer Lockett; his partner, Jeff Karl and a host of other relatives and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Dylan Lockett, Keiffer Lockett, Derek Johnson, Andy Johnson, Austin Greene, and Chase Prouty.
Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Stout-Phillips Chapel
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday.
Ronnie Harjo
Ronnie Harjo, age 57 and resident of Konawa died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center in Ada.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa.
He will be transported to his home located at 14169 NS 3570 for viewing.
A Wake service is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 11th at Cedar Creek Eufaula Baptist Church.
The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12th at the church, and burial will follow at the Tebe Family Cemetery in Sasakwa. Rev. Jimsey Harjo and Rev. Thomas Little will officiate.
Pallbearers are nephews, Jerome Hill, Anthony Hill, Norman Hill, Tommy Tebe, Eugene Harjo, Jr., Chuck Hulbutta, Johnson Hulbutta, and Hal Hulbutta.
Honorary Pallbearers are Herman Foster, Phillip Daw, Jr. and Charles Burgess.
He was born Sept. 26, 1954 in Holdenville to Francis Harjo and Charlie Davis.
He married Wany Tebe on July 6, 1976.
He served on the board for the Housing Authority of the Seminole Nation.
He is survived by his wife, Wany Harjo of the home; his mother, Francis Harjo of Konawa; two sons, Warren Harjo of Konawa and Terence Harjo of Konawa; one daughter, Colleen Daw of Moodys, Oklahoma; two brothers, Kelly Davis of Konawa and Mickey Davis of Wynnewood and one sister, Terry Foster of Seminole.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Davis; infant son, Ronnie Lance Harjo; one brother, Anthony Davis and his grandmother, Stella Cosar.
Sheila Harjo
Former Sasakwa resident Sheila Renae Harjo, died Thursday, March 8th, 2012 in Holdenville, OK at the age of 47 years.
She was born Jan 10, 1965 in Claremore, to J W Harjo Sr. and Naomi Simmer Harjo.
Sheila was a headstart teacher with Creek Nation School.
Preceding her in death are her parents and brother Jimmy Harjo.
Survivors include her children, Earnest Harjo of Okmulgee, Sharon Harjo, Shawnee, Sharla Coon of Okmulgee and Shanise Coon Sasakwa, Stormy Harjo Tulsa, twelve grandchildren; brothers and sisters Joseph Harjo, Tulsa, Levine Harjo, Okmulgee, J.W. Harjo Jr., Tulsa, Tim Harjo, Tulsa, Daniel Harjo of Okemah, and Jason Harjo Sr. of Henryetta.
Wake Service 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday March 10, 2012 Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.
The body will be taken to Greenleaf Church, Okemah Sunday evening at 4:00 p.m. for a Wake Service Sunday evening.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2012 at Greenleaf Baptist Church, Okemah with Rev. Wayne Harjo and Rev. Jimsey Harjo officiating and burial to follow at Little Quarsarty Cemetery, Cromwell.

Terry Harjo
Terry Deon Harjo, 62 year-old lifelong Maud area resident died Saturday, Feb 25, 2012.
He was born Feb 17, 1950 in Seminole, to Leta Faye "Honey" (Price) Harjo and Charley Harjo.
Terry graduated from Maud High School and later worked in the oilfield.
Terry is survived by his longtime companion, Pat Boren of the home; three sons, Charles Houston Harjo of Midwest City, Terrence Lee "Levi" Harjo of Wolf, Jeremy Harjo of Guthrie; three brothers, Phillip Harjo of Wolf, Sterling Harjo of Oklahoma City, Matthew Harjo of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren.
Terry is preceded in death by both of his parents.
A memorial services is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Feb 29, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Hershel Davis will officiate the service.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Rita Harjo-Phelps
Rita Harjo-Phelps, 50 year-old, lifelong Maud resident died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012 at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City.
She was born Dec. 18, 1961 in Shawnee to parents Jonases "Smokey" Harjo and Mary Ellen (Scott) Harjo.
She attended Maud Schools graduating in 1980.
In 2003 Rita married David Harris in Van Buren, Arkansas.
Survivors include her husband, David Harris of the home; two sons, Joshua Phelps of Maud, Jeremiah Harjo of Staten Island, New York; three brothers, Leon Harjo, Randy Harjo and Albert Curley all of Maud; four sisters, Joanna Harjo-Gentry of Asher, Jeannette Harjo-Codd of Staten Island, New York, Toni Harjo of Maud and Tiffany Harjo of Blackwell.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jonases "Smokey" Harjo; her mother, Mary Harjo; two sisters, Rosie Harjo and Kathie Harjo-Hurst; and grandfather, Lee Harjo.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012 at the Church of Christ in Maud with Rev. Jimsey Harjo and Rev. Houston Tiger officiating the service.
She will be taken to the home (317 W. Ash in Maud) at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012.
She will be taken to the Maud Church of Christ on Monday, Aug. 6, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. for a wake to be held that evening.
Casket Bearers will be Sonny Turnbow, Albert Curley, Chuddo Williams, Christian Harjo, Josh Blankenship and Hugh Dean Megee.
Honorary Bearers will be George Codd, Hunter Codd, Eric Powell, Bubba Watson and Sandy Williams.

Hansel Harper
Long time Seminole county resident, Hansel H. Harper passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 at Seminole at the age of 93.
Hansel was born on May 15, 1919 in Bilby, Okla., which is located in Hughes county to parents J.T. Harper and Iva (Woodward) Harper.
Hansel was an oil field truck superintendent, building drilling locations; he worked for Stephens Production and Guy Nall Trucking.
He was a rancher in Arkansas and then in Seminole when he moved back.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion, NRA and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. Work was his hobby.
He also enjoyed dancing and working cattle. Hansel loved to live life to its fullest.
He served in the United States Army as a sergeant during World War Il; he was a Purple Heart recipient and the Combat Infantryman Badge for intense face to face combat with the enemy.
Hansel married Opal Alemeda Buscher on March 16, 1940, in St. Charles, Mo. Opal Buscher Harper preceded him in death on Jan. 29, 1995.
His two sons, Mark Harper and his wife Ann Harper of Seminole and Dean Harper of Seminole; his daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Jerry Watkins of Seminole and a sister, Loreice Barton of Tuscon, Ariz., survive Mr. Harper. Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive him.
His parents; his wife, Opal; a son, Gary Harper and a sister, Wynema Cupp, preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, Dec. 24, 2012 at the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole are in charge of arrangements.
Christina Harris
Christina "Tina" Harris was born to Gerald Price and LaVonta Price on Jan. 30, 1956 in Comanche County.
She died on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012.
She married Orthel Harris Jr. on June 1, 1974 in Shawnee.
She had three daughters, Dusty Harris Dosh, Daneille Harris, Candy Spagnola and seven grandchildren.
She was preceeded by her parents and one grandchild.
Per her wishes, no services will be held at this time.
Grady Harris
Grady Harris, 73, of Huntsville, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Northwest Medical Center, Springdale, Arkansas.
He was born April 11, 1939 in Pelsor, Ar., the son of Floyd and Lilly Sheperd Harris.
He was a truck drive, law enforcement officer for the City of Wewoka, Seminole County Sheriff’s Department and police chief for the City of Konawa.
He retired as Konawa’s police chief before moving to Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delouris June "Lois" Ingram Harris on April 11, 2008.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Michael Wayne Harris; his parents and two brothers, O.D. Harris and Winston Harris.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Tina Harris of Huntsville; one daughter, Cristi Harris of Green Forest; six brothers, Phil Harris, Larry Harris, Allen Harris and Bobby Harris, all of Oklahoma; Darrel Harris and Frank Harris, both of Texas; four sisters, Winnie Stilwell and Esther Hopkins, both of Oklahoma, Fran Chambless of Texas, and Jeanie Melton of Arizona; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 26 in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pastor Dennis Brannan officiated.
Interment was in the Marshall Cemetery in Forum, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were Ralph Perez, Steve Curl, Brandon Walker, Don Smith, Clint Ham and Darrell Smith.
Honorary pallbearer was Benny Smith.
Arrangements were under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home in Arkansas.
