Frances Hartman

Frances "Frankie" Shirley Ann Hartman, 73 was born July 27, 1938 in Wewoka, OK to Bluford M."Pete and Myrtle (Reno) Edwards.

She married Johnny Hartman on Nov 3, 1987 in Rogers, AR. They lived in Shawnee, OK before moving to Eufaula.

She was a self-employed Beautician for a number of years.

Frankie was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Kathryn Windewen, Ruth Hood, Judy Pratt, Chick Goodman and a brother Robert Edwards.

Survivors include : Husband John Hartman of Eufaula; Children; Tony Jamieson, Guymon, Dianna "Sissy" Williams of Dallas, TX, Kelly L. White of Guymon, Ricky Hartman, of Shawnee, Kelly R. Hartman Okemah, and Tony Hartman of Ardmore; Brothers Michael Edwards of Ohio and Steve Edwards of Ada and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be David Goodman, Kirk Goodman, Steve Nelson, Jesse Nelson, Jeremy Nelson, and Ricky Hartman.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, Jan 5, 2011 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Larry Chesser officiating.

Arrangements are by Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Roy Starr Harvey

Roy Starr Harvey, Seminole resident passed away at the age of 69 on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at Fort Worth, Tx.

He was born March 19, 1943 in Seminole to Roy Wood Harvey and Lola Harvey.

He is survived by two sons, Chris and Gerald Harvey; one brother and sister-in-law, A.B. and Wanda Harvey of Seminole, one sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Jerry Crow of Sand Springs; two nieces, Rita Barrett of Seminole and Terri Belk of Sand Springs; two nephews, Allen Harvey of Seminole and Barry Crow of Sand Springs.

There will be a private family service.

Norma Hawk

Norma Sue (Sullivan) Hawk, 70 year-old Tulsa resident died Sunday, Feb 12, 2012.

She was born March 18, 1941 in Checotah, to Oscar and Alice Sullivan.

She grew up in Checotah where she worked at the Katy Café.

She is preceded in death by her father, Oscar Sullivan.

She is survived by husband, Ron Hawk of the home; one son, Michael Stone of Seminole; two daughters, Cindy Summerlin and Dianna Eaton; mother, Alice Sulllivan Miner of Seminole; two sisters, Sharon McCoy, Murlene Cox; one brother, Ricky Sullivan; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Feb 15, 2012 at Garrett’s Funeral Home Chapel in Checotah, Oklahoma. Interment followed at Council Hill Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Carson officiated the service.

Nathias Hawkins-Robinson

Funeral services for Nathias Ray Hawkins-Robinson of Ada will be 1:00 pm Friday, May 11, 2012 at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home in Ada.

Burial to follow at Cornelius Family Cemetery in Little, OK.

Wake service, officiated by Billy Merritt, will begin at 7:00 pm Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the funeral home.

Nathias passed away on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center in Ada.

He was born May 7, 2012 to Loring Robinson and Derekah Hawkins.

Nathias is survived by his mother, Derekah Hawkins of Ada; father, Loring Robinson of Ada; two brothers, Saije and Kaden Kilcrease of Ada; grandparents, Jim and Jaedeen Hawkins of Ada and Veronica Robinson of Wichita, KS; step-grandfather, Kenny Robinson of Wichita; paternal great-grandparents, Raymond and Patricia Pompa of Wichita; paternal uncles, Bobby Jr. and Josh Robinson of Konawa; maternal uncles, Jimmy "Chow" Hawkins of McAlester, Toby and Kelly "MKZ" Hawkins of Ada, and Sheldon "Burt" Newton of Ada; paternal aunts, Angie Robinson and Selena Jackson of Konawa and Charlene Robinson of Oklahoma City; and maternal aunt, Erika "Missy" Daniels of Ada.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Carol Hawkins; maternal uncles, Josh "Sasquatch" Hawkins and Casey Hawkins; and paternal grandfather, Bobby Robinson Sr.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Phillips Funeral Home, Ada.

Martin Haynes

Martin Wayne "Baby Boy" Haynes, 48, passed away at home on May 21, 2012 in Seminole.

He was born Sept. 22, 1964 to William and Delores (Thlocco) Haynes in Claremore.

Martin attended Seminole Public Schools.

He worked with Coates Roofing and went to school at Tahlequah job corp for a heavy equipment operator.

He also worked for Seminole waterproofing.

Martin loved spending time with all of his nieces, Lacy Vigil, Chaney Cecil and Jenny Allen and his nephews, he was the uncle who loved spoiling them all.

He was the one to call when his great niece needed to be calmed down with his singing.

Martin was known by everyone as "Baby Boy, " he made everyone laugh.

He loved watching home videos from his Missouri trips to his sisters’.

He also loved listening to music and playing his guitar.

He was always hanging out in front of the house with his brother Marty "Cepane."

Martin is survived by his parents, William and Delores Haynes of Seminole; two brothers, Marty and Billy Haynes, both of Seminole; three sisters, Serena Vigil of Seminole, Wendy Haynes of Tecumseh and Latrisha Allen and her husband Paul Allen, Sr. of Missouri.

He is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.

Martin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Nancy Jacobs and Henry Haynes in 1964; his maternal grandparents in 1972, Josephine Yarbrough Harjo in 2011 and Bunny Thlocco in 1987.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Rev. Elmer Haynes, Rev. Houston Tiger and Rev. Donnie Wolf will officiate the service. Burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens of Seminole.

A wake service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.

Serving as casket bearers are Anthony Tiger, Jeremy Harjo, Wilson Harjo, Kenny Bowlegs, Billy Haynes, Steve Harjo, Jerrod Sutton and Bill Green.

Honorary bearers are Brandon Vigil, Derek Vigil, Paul Allen, Jr., John Allen, William Allen, Joshua Allen, Shadow Haynes, Ty Haynes, Paul Allen, Sr., C.J. Vigil, William Haynes, Jerry Haynes and Chad Cecil.

Services under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

Joyce Heffley

Joyce Ruth (Renfro) Heffley, 78 year-old, lifelong Maud resident passed from this life Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 at her home in Maud.

She was born Oct. 26, 1933 in Maud to parents William Morten Renfro and Clytie Mae (Wade) Renfro.

Joyce graduated from Maud High School in 1952. She married Luster Lee Heffley on April 6, 1950 in Chandler.

Joyce worked for the United States Postal Service as a rural route carrier until her retirement in 1991.

She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Maud where she had served the Lord in many different areas from teaching Sunday school to serving at Church dinners.

Joyce leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 62 years, Luster Heffley of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Teresa Heffley of McLoud; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lisa Prince of Maud, Susan and Frank Williams of Maud; one sister, Grace Gaines of Maud; one sister-in-law, Sharon Renfro of Maud; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Duaine Renfro, William "Cubby" Renfro, George Renfro and Ike Renfro she is also preceded by one sister, Helen Schultz.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud with Pastor Rusty McMullen and Rev. Fred Stewart officiating.

Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud.

Casket Bearers will be Cody Williams, Jason Wolf, Jessie Williams, Darrin Heffley, Eddie Heffley and Caleb Parris.

Honorary Bearer will be Frank Williams.

Services are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud.

Robert Heffley

Robert L. Heffley, 59 year-old, longtime former Seminole resident passed from this life Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Midwest City Hospital.

He was born Feb. 26, 1953 in Wewoka to parents Daniel Matthew Heffley and Laura Jane (Loudermilk) Heffley.

Robert attended Seminole Public Schools and Seminole High School.

On Nov. 17, 1976, Robert married Diana McLaughlin at the First United Methodist Church in Seminole.

The couple has lived in Midwest City for the past 30 years where Robert worked for the State of Oklahoma Employment Security Commission Print Shop located in Oklahoma City.

He loved his family dearly and he felt that his goal in life was to make people laugh.

Robert was also an avid outdoorsman loving to fish and hunt.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory his wife of almost 36 years, Diana Heffley of the home in Midwest City; five daughters, Paula Wells and her fiancé Jamie Warren of Midwest City, Pamela and her husband, Lee Rimer of Harrah, Melissa Parks and her husband, John Thompson of Amber, Sherri and her husband, Steven Eaton of Choctaw, Emily and her husband, Jonathon Darby of Stillwater; four brothers, Joe Heffley of Seminole, Jim Heffley of Eufaula, Kenneth Heffley of Bethel Acres, Ronnie Heffley of Midwest City; three sisters, Louise Moore of Broken Bow, Wanda Mauhuolic of Seminole, Bertha Pokrefky of Seminole; seven grandchildren, Courtney, Ashley, Ryan, Jessica, Evan, Brandi and Will; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and dear friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, Leon Heffley.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Pastor Curtis Ophus officiating.

Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Joe Heffley, Jim Heffley, Ronnie Heffley, Kenneth Heffley, Steven Eaton, James Heffley, Eugene Sanders and Nick Rankin.

Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.

Mary Hendryx

July 25, 1931 – Nov. 3, 2012

Mary Imogene Hendryx, 81, Seminole resident died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 in Seminole.

She was born on July 25, 1931 in Cromwell to Jesse Merl and Essie (Smith) Fleming.

Mary attended schools at Pleasant Grove Schools in Seminole and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School.

She was a homemaker and co-owner of Seminole Tank Service.

She attended the Free Will Baptist Church in Seminole and was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and also served as a Den Mother for Cub Scouts.

She married Ed Hendryx on April 5, 1949 in Seminole and he preceded her in death July 3, 1999.

She is survived by two sons, Mike Hendryx and his wife Venus and Scott Hendryx both of Seminole; her daughters, Lori and her husband Jody Cruce of Okemah and Susan Kelley of Edmond; two daughters-in-laws, Lois Hendryx and Gayla Hendryx both of Seminole; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.

Her parents, her husband, Ed "Pooge" Hendyrx, her sons Ronnie Hendryx and Jeff Hendryx, a son-in-law Charlie Kelley, grandson Shane Hendryx, four brothers and two sisters preceded Mary in death.

The family wishes to thank the Seminole Care and Rehab Center and Faith Hospice. A special thanks to her dear friend Clara Lawyer and daughter-in-law Gayla for her loving care.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Joshua Torres, Jason Hendryx, Clinton Tooley, Zacharay Book, Charles Kelley, Caleb McCutcheon, Bradley Hendryx, Steven Hendryx, Gavin Nadeau, Ethan Tooley, Josh McCutcheon, Brian Smith, Martin Mize and Korey Surratt.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
