Joseph Paul Meely, 48 year-old, Seminole County resident died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Pauls Valley General Hospital.
He was born Feb. 25, 1964 in Lawton to parents Solomon Meely and Teresa (Fixico) Creek.
Survivors include two sons, Taylor Meely of Indiahoma, Oklahoma, David Meely of Tulsa; four daughters, Mary Meely of Tulsa, Uressa Meely of Broken Arrow, Sierra Meely of Wagoner, Melinda Meely of Tulsa; three brothers, Jeffery Meely of Shawnee, Timothy Meely of Tulsa, Quentin Creek of Shawnee; six sisters, Chenena Wise of Shawnee, Mary Meely of Oklahoma City, Michelle Ramirez of Shawnee, Tia Creek of Shawnee, Mattie Creek of Stillwater, Jannie Creek of Stillwater.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Kaden Tyson.
Wake services are scheduled for Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Snake Creek Baptist Church where the body will be taken at 4:00 p.m.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 30, 2012 at Snake Creek Baptist Church with Steve Holota officiating.
Interment will follow at Snake Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Casket Bearers will be Roddy Camp, Arthur Hair, Anthony Roubidoux and Justin Meely.
Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Nancy Meese
Nancy K. Meese, 75, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 in Edmond.
She was born Nov. 29, 1936 in Holdenville.
She graduated from Seminole High School in 1954.
She is a retired school teacher and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma.
Survivors include her husband, Allen D. Meese of Edmond; three children, Mary Jane Meese of Oklahoma City, Elizabeth Ann (Betsy) Sieck of Norman, and Kirtley Allen Meese of DeForest, WI and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, Sept. 21 at Crawford Family Funeral Service in Edmond.

John Melton
John "Jack" Edward Melton of Wewoka died Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in Ada at the age of 63.
He was born in Claremore, on Oct. 5, 1948 to William Melton and Esther Blanche (Little) Melton.
He is a graduate of Pleasant Grove school and attended college for two years.
He worked in the construction business as a laborer.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Oogie Melton and Bill Melton.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Sheyahshe of the home; brothers, Robert Melton, Lloyd Martin and Scott Martin of Seminole; sisters, Toni Martin, of Seminole, Tammy Martin of Shawnee and Mary Yerby; step-children, Q. Micco McGirt, Chris McGirt, Christen McGirt, and Angela Miner and six grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 at Sand Creek Eufaula with Rev. Houston Tiger and Rev. Paul Donnie Wolf officiating.
Arrangements are by Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Robert Melton, 90
March 22, 1922 - July 12, 2012
Robert Addis Melton, 90 year-old, lifelong Seminole resident passed from this life Thursday, July 12, 2012.
He was born March 22, 1922 in Seminole to parents L.D. and Lilly Melton.
Robert attended Bowlegs schools and later married Frances Addie Northcott on July 30, 1941.
They were married for 68 years at the time of her death in 2009.
Robert served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1945 as a Technician Fifth Grade.
They later moved to Borger, Texas where he worked for Phillips Petroleum Company as a machinist.
In the early 1970’s the couple returned to Seminole where they were members of the First Baptist Church in Bowlegs.
Survivors include his son, Richard D. Melton of Salt Lake City, Utah; one son-in-law, Milton Hoff of Stinnett, Texas; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat Ward of Ada, Norma Jean Rice and her husband Bill of Shawnee, Joy Stevens and her husband Mike of Tulsa; daughter-in-law, Joyce Smith of Corona, California; seven grandchildren, Tommy Hoff, Tammy Snider, Robert Melton, Terry Melton, Amy Causey, Misty Melton and Christy Earhart; sixteen great grandchildren, Spencer Hoff, Logan Hoff, Tyler Hoff, Brittany Snider, Brandon Snider, Ryan East, Robby Melton, Michael Melton, Cody Melton, Crystal Schimming, Lacey Schimming, Laekyn Causey, Bryan Thornbury, Wyatt Thornbury, Cameryn Earhart and Sydnee Earhart.
Robert is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends.
His parents; wife; brother; sister and one daughter, Gaylene Hoff who died in 2002, precede Robert in death.
Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 20, 2012 at Little Cemetery just north of Seminole.
Rev. Todd Moss will officiate the service.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.

John Merrell
John R. Merrell, Sr., 65, of Granby, Missouri died May 12, 2012 at Freeman West after a sudden illness.
John was born March 8, 1947, in Wewoka to Oscar H and Ida Elizabeth Hanna Merrell.
He served in the Army National Guard.
He moved to SW Missouri in 1985.
He was a self-employed Flooring Contractor.
He was a member of Silver Moon Full Gospel Church.
He loved old cars and motorcycles.
He married Marlene Sullivan, Aug. 16, 1973 in Oklahoma City. She survives.
Additional survivors include his children, Shawn Jay and Shayla Merrell, Neosho, MO; Terry John and Margaret Merrell, Joplin, MO; John Ray, Jr. & Hope Merrell, Konawa; Julia Merrell Bird and husband Larry Bird, Seneca, MO, Teri & Scott Loghry, Tontitown, AR and Mike and Patty Krueger, Neosho, MO.
John is also survived by two brothers, Denver & Wynema Merrell, Konawa; Jack and Janet Merrell, Konawa and a special brother-in-law & his wife, Bruce and Penny Sullivan, Neosho, MO.
He is survived by five sisters, LaVon Hubble, Norma McKeever, Lola Mae Garner all of Konawa, Bobbie and Jerry Womack, Littleton, CO and Linda & Wayne "Cotton" Bowerman of Neosho, MO; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren with an additional one on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m. at Silver Moon Full Gospel Church, south of Diamond, MO with Pastor Phil Barber officiating. Interment will follow at Granby Memorial Cemetery, Granby, MO.
Serving as pallbearers are Seth McDonald, Sean McDonald, Scott McDonald, Mark Krueger, Patrick Bird, and Caden Hendricks.

Betty Merritt
Betty Jo Merritt, 83, of Clay county Texas, died Tuesday, Feb 14, 2012.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Feb 17, 2012 at the Jefferson Street Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, Texas with Rev. Leonard Brothers, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in Hope Cemetery in Henrietta, Texas under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta.
Mrs. Merritt was born on July 5, 1928 in Seminole, to Joseph Henry and Ola Eva (Reed) Edings.
She married Thomas "Tex" Merritt on Jan 28, 1953 in Wichita County, Texas.
Mrs. Merritt was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Tom.
Survivors include one son, Danny Merritt of Wichita Falls, Texas; four daughters, Linda Dickerson of Wichita Falls, Texas, Diane Roberts of Henrietta, Texas, Pam Stewart of Henrietta, Texas, Angela Laster of Sequin, Texas; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Hafemeister of Wichita Falls, Texas; two brothers, James Edings of Oklahoma and John Edings of Redding, California.

Daphne Eileen Metoyer was born May 19, 1958 in Bakersfield, California.
She died Monday, April 16, 2012.
She graduated from George Washington High School in Los Angeles, California.
She also attended and graduated from Marcello’s School of Cosmetology in Los Angeles, California.
She was employed in the field of nursing for over 25 years was employed as a diligent Certified medication Aide (CME) at Elmwood Nursing Home in Wewoka.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Perry, Sr.
She is survived by her mother, Doris Robbie Perry; one son, Terron King; two grandchildren of Wewoka; five brothers, Gary Metoyer of Corcoran, Ca., James Perry, Bryan Perry, Rodney Perry of Wewoka; Larry Perry of Vallejo, CA.; one sister, Catania Jones of Los Angeles, Ca.
Mandi Middleton
Mandi Michelle Middleton, 21, Seminole resident died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at Oklahoma City.
Mandi was born Jan. 14, 1991 in Claremore to John and Raina (Branham) Middleton.
Mandi moved to Seminole in 2001 from Skiatook, Okl.
She attended Pleasant Grove schools and was home schooled through high school.
Mandi was a rancher and an equipment operator; she loved ranching and was very good with horses, which she loved to ride, and working with cattle.
Some of her passions were all her animals, OU football, hunting, fishing and music. She was an artist with excellent drawing skills.
She was pursing a career as a graphic designer.
Mandi leaves to cherish her memories her mother and father, Raina and John Middleton of Seminole; her two sisters, Tanya Hunt of Seminole and Jonna Hilton of Tulsa; her grandmothers, Edith Cleary of Seminole and Juanita Branham of Skiatook. Her uncles, James Middleton of Quinton, Virginia and Big Branham of Skiatook; her aunt, Gina Branham of Skiatook, also her nieces and nephews and her closest friend Chelsey Ferrell also survive her.
Her grandfathers Tom Middleton and Dave Branham preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Rev. Jimmy Moreland will officiate at the service.
Burial will follow at the Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
