Leta Diane Milam, age 56, former Seminole Resident, now residing in Ada, went home to be with her Lord on July 30, 2012.
She was surrounded by her loving family and friends who supported and cared for her during her courageous battle with cancer.
Her trust in God, love for her family, shopping and sense of humor, were the gifts she used to help her through her struggles.
Diane served as secretary at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School for over 20 years.
She was not, just the secretary, but a mentor to many young boys and girls who called her "friend."
She was loved by her co-workers, who were deeply saddened when her health would no longer allow her to work.
She continued to be their friend and they were always there for her for whatever she needed.
Diane was a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma.
Diane was the proud mother of the two loves of her life, sons, David and Jesse Milam, both of Ada.
One sister Barbara Black of South Portland, Maine also survives her.
Many loving nephews, nieces, cousins, friends as well as her Aunt Betty Bolin, who became a source of strength to Diane, after her mother’s death.
Her constant, devoted granddog, Oscar, and grandcat, Brutus, also survive her.
Diane was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine (Burnett) Bolin; her father, Odell Bolin and sister, Patty Raba.
She was the granddaughter of original Chickasaw enrollee Hariett Immotichey Burnett
Casket bearers will be David Milam, Jesse Milam, Gary Barnes, Kevin Beck, Bill Bolin, and Gary Kiker.
Funeral services for Diane will be held at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012 with Earl Hood officiating.
Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be David Milam, Jesse Milam, Gary Barnes, Kevin Beck, Bill Bolin and Gary Kiker.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Thomas Mills Jr.
Thomas Jackson "Tommy" Mills, Jr. 76, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 at his home on Seminole.
Tommy was born Nov. 7, 1935 in Seminole to Thomas Jackson and Callie (Palmer) Mills.
Tommy retired in 1997 as Executive Director of the Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum.
Tommy had previously worked in the agriculture industry at Farmland Industries, Banking, Oil and Gas and Real Estate. He was also co-owner of "The Line" gift shop downtown Seminole.
Tommy was a longtime member of the Seminole Church of Christ.
Tommy loved his grandchildren and spending time with them, and they loved him too. Tommy made a current bucket list and his one thing he wanted to do was teach his grandchildren how to fish.
Tommy loved to fish and loved nature.
Tommy married Vivian Parks on Jan. 28, 1956 in Seminole.
Tommy leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years, Vivian Mills of the home; his daughters, Piper John and her husband Cameron of Oklahoma City, and Misty Floyd and her husband Dr. Jeff Floyd of Edmond. His eight grandchildren, Addi, Erin, Benny, Lucy, Sam and Josie Floyd and Elly and Maisy John, also survive him.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at the Seminole Church of Christ at 4200 Hwy # 99 North in Seminole. Chris Stinnett will officiate at the service.
Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole.
Casket bearers will be Jim Hardin, Ken Crane, Stacy Kinsey, Lee Stillwell, David Keck and Thurman Edwards.

Joe Morlan
Joe Albert Morlan, Sr., 76, Shawnee resident died Monday, Aug. 20, 2012 at Rose Manor Nursing Home in Shawnee.
Joe was born Dec. 22, 1935 in Shawnee to Clarence Franklin and Lela Belle (Mefford) Morlan.
Joe was formerly of the Seminole and Maud areas.
Joe was a Lumberyard manager and contractor for many years in area lumberyards.
Joe was also a member of the McLoud Masonic Lodge and Member of the McAlister Consistory and Shriners.
Joe was married to Willma Marie (Harper) Morlan on March 12, 1955 in Gainesville, Texas and she preceded him in death on Feb. 14, 1994.
Joe is survived by two sons, Joe Albert Morlan, Jr and his wife Lisa Morlan of McLoud and Kevein Scott Morlan and his wife Missy Morlan of Stillwater and a daughter Regina Marie Morlan-Lloyd of Checotah; one sister Irene Decker of Checotah and ten grandchildren, Jacob Morlan and Bailey Morlan of Shawnee, Kiley Morlan, Keaton Lloyd, Kolton Lloyd and Kelby Lloyd all of Checotah, Derek Morlan and his wife Sophie of Shawnee and Leighton Morlan, Justin Morlan and Kynsi Morlan all of Stillwater and three great grandchildren, Aubri Jo Stidham of Checotah, Hayden Morlan and Peightyn Morlan of Shawnee.
Funeral services are planned for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with burial following at Sand Creek Cemetery north of Cromwell, Oklahoma.
Casket bearers will be Joe Morlan, Jr., Jacob Morlan, Kevein Morlan, Derek Morlan, Keaton Lloyd and Kolton Lloyd.
The family will receive friends and family at a family visitation; 6-8 p.m., Wednesday evening, Aug. 22, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.

Earl Morris Jr.
Earl Morris Jr. was accepted into the arms of the Lord on Sunday Feb 19, 2012.
Earl was born in Holdenville, on Aug 12, 1928 to Earl Morris and Floy Washington Morris.
He married Alice Bane of Sasakwa, OK on May 20, 1950.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Tom Morris, Bill Morris and Jerry "Skeets" Morris; sister, Geraldine Story and daughter, Debbie Sellers.
Earl leaves his wife of nearly 62 years, Alice Bane Morris; son Ronnie Morris of Shawnee; daughters Connie Crum of Midwest City and Paula Morris of Bethel; Son-in-Law, Jerry Sellers and grandsons Kris Morris, Bobby Sellers and Rocky Sellers, all of Phoenix, AZ; grandson David Sellers and wife Sarah of Tecumseh; granddaughters Melody Halupka and husband Marty of Princeton, TX and Kassil Bell of Bethel, OK; grandsons Andrew Shelton of Ft. Smith, AR and Dakota Terrell of Bethel, OK; brother, Jeff Morris and sister Josie Cravens both of Shawnee and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb 25 at 1:00 p.m. at New Beginnings Church, 1203 E. 42nd St., Shawnee.
Genetta Morris
Genetta Marie ‘Judy' Morris died Friday, Feb 10, 2012, at the age of 67 years.
Judy was the daughter of Herman Williams & Lois (Morphis) Williams, born on Nov 22, 1944 in Okemah.
She married Alvin Ray Morris in the late 1950s.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman & Lois Williams; her husband, Alvin Ray Morris; one son, Terry Ray Morris; one grandson, Jeff Dewayne Morris, and one great grandson, Seth Lee Little and one sister, Joyce Whisnant.
She is survived by her spouse, Daniel Breedlove, of the home; six children: Unita Little of Bearden, Dewayne Morris of Wewoka, Linda Webb of Cromwell, Alvin Morris and Charmin Fehse, both of Wewoka, and Jaquelyn Rednose of Tecumseh; twenty-three grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; three sisters: Lavina Cox and Sue Barnes, both of Cromwell, and Sharon Vance of Bearden; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb 17, 2012, at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Cromwell, with Nancy Whisnant officiating.

Jack Morris
Jack Favor Morris, 72, lifelong Seminole resident died Friday, March 16, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Jack was born Jan 11, 1940 in Seminole, to Harry Oakes and Vaden Elizabeth (Smith) Morris.
Jack married, Alfreida Clarice Harris on Sept 2, 1961 in Seminole.
Jack was a graduate of Seminole High School in 1958 and went to East Central University where he graduated with a B.S. degree in Math and Physics in 1961. He later attended the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with a master’s degree in Computer Science.
Jack was a member of the First Christian Church in Seminole.
Jack retired from Seminole State College after 25 years of teaching Math and Physics. Prior to that he worked for Phillips Petroleum and General Electric as a Computer programmer.
Jack was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and was a direct descendant of original enrollee Susan (SueK) Oakes Morris and two Principal Chiefs of the Choctaw Nation; Apuckshunnubbee and Hopia Iskitinia.
Jack and Clarice were well known throughout Oklahoma and at Quartzsite, Arizona for "Jack’s Indian Taco’s", he enjoyed traveling, meeting people and was an animal lover, who loved his pet "Annie".
Jack is survived by his wife Clarice Morris of Seminole; two sons, John Michael Morris of Oklahoma City, and David Gregory Morris and his wife Rachel of Moore; one brother and sister-in-law, Harry Phillip and Ann Morris of Seminole, and one sister Mary Lou Duggins and her husband Stan of Woodward; two grandchildren, Josh and Devon Morris and two great grandchildren Hadley and Kainen also survive him.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.

A memorial service for Kevin Dewayne Morris, 43 of Holdenville is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Holdenville.

He died on Thursday, July 12, 2012, in Holdenville.
Kevin was born on Oct. 29, 1968 in Holden to Tommy Morris and Patricia (Johnson) Morris.
He attended school in Holdenville.
He married Tamara Fielder on Jan. 29, 2007 in Wewoka.
Kevin worked in the residential construction business.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Bradley; honorary father, Larry Stegman; grandparents, Clarence Morris, Marie Morris, Roy Johnson, Lela Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of the home, Tamara Morris; children, Kyle Morris of Hodgins, Kayla Morris of Enid, Kristin Morris of Ada, Cody Morris of Ada, Katy Morris of Holdenville; one granddaughter; brothers, Jeff Morris of Holdenville, Randy Maxwell of Holdenville, David Bradley, Jason Morris of Wewoka; father, Tommy Morris of Wewoka, step-father Bill Bradley of Holdenville.
Honorary bearers will be Johnny Robinson, Charlie Norris, Joe Bakken, Aaron Bakken, Jarrod Bakken, and Ethan Bakken.
