Paris France O’Connor born Sept. 5, 1923 passed from this life on April 2, 2012.
She was born in Stonewall, the second of six children of Ora Catherine Gill France and John William France.
Paris graduated from Stonewall High School in 1941 and attended East Central College in Ada until she was offered a position with the War Department in Philadelphia.
Her family mortgaged the family’s cow to buy her train ticket to Philadelphia.
Paris came back to Oklahoma City in 1944 and worked at Federal Supply in Bricktown.
In 1946 she returned to Washington DC and in 1948 after the conclusion of World War II met William Edward O’Connor.
Bill and Paris married on Valentine’s Day 1948.
In 1956, Bill and Paris built a home in Howard County Maryland.
In 1960, their first daughter Catherine was born and 18 months later Melissa.
Paris loved to garden, bake, cook and sew. She was talented at sewing and at needlework and enjoyed creating a home for her family.
Paris was an avid reader and an active member of the United Methodist Church.
In 1978, Bill retired from NASA and the family moved to Tecumseh where Paris continued to be very active in the Methodist Church, volunteering to promote literacy and enjoying hobbies like quilting and gardening.
Paris was a devoted mother and wife and was the reason for so many successful camping trips that were history lessons, the creator of countless delicious family dinners and apple pies.
Through her faith, perseverance and steady guidance she taught her daughters the value of family, volunteerism and a love of reading, cooking and spending time with family.
She worked outside the home for almost her entire life and through her life we learned how to balance home and work and the independent spirit that has been an inspiration to her daughters and grandchildren.
Paris is survived by her daughter, Catherine O’Connor; daughter, Melissa Walker and her husband Kevin Walker; her granddaughter, Meredith Walck Wolfe and her husband Michael Wolfe; her granddaughter, Rachel Ginter; grandsons, Clinton Walker and John William Walker. She is also survived by her sister Lavern Powell of Delaware and Maudie Lee Wilson of Noble, Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews.
The family thanks the staff of Cypress Springs Memory Care in Oklahoma City and Mission Hospice.

Her visitation will be from noon to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Her service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church of Seminole located at 910 W. Wrangler Blvd with Rev. Gary O. Wilburn officiating the service and burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Vera O’Connor
Vera Naomi (West) O’Connor, age 89 and resident of Konawa died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at her home.
A Wake service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Konawa, and a Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9 also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.
Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Fr. Joe Arledge will officiate.
Pallbearers are Curtis Ringgold, Jr., Ezekiel O’Connor, Brandon Floyd, Dennis O’Connor, Travis Hendricks, and Dylan O’Connor.
She was born July 8, 1923 in Bixby, to Chauncey West and Goldie (Lumley) West.
She married Garland Leo O’Connor in 1942.
She moved from Shawnee to Konawa sixteen years ago.
She is survived by four sons, Victor O’Connor of Konawa, Steve O’Connor of Konawa, Hal O’Connor of Shawnee, and Gene O’Connor also of Shawnee; five daughters, Mary Ann Arledge of Newalla, Jo Ann O’Connor of Konawa, Margaret Atchley of Georgia, Loretta O’Connor of Shawnee, and Janice Floyd of Konawa; two sisters, Gladys Beavers of Shawnee, and Mary Lou Harmon of Shawnee; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chauncey and Goldie West; her husband, Garland Leo O’Conner; one son, Dwaine O’Connor; three brothers, David, Allen and Samuel West; three sisters, Ruth Harmon, Janie Hartshorn, and Daisy Keith.
George Odor
George Samuel Odor, Jr. 83 year-old, life long Seminole resident passed from this life Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at his home in Seminole surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Oct. 18, 1928 in Seminole County to parents George Samuel Odor, Sr. and Fay Loney (Ketcher) Odor.
George attended Seminole Schools and then served in the United States Army.
He was also a proud member of the Cherokee Nation and a member of Harvey Road Baptist Church in Seminole.
On May 31, 1952 George married Billie Fern Harris in Seminole.
He worked for Newman Construction as a heavy equipment operator following that he worked as custodian at Strothers Elementary School until his retirement in 1994.
George leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 60 years, Billie Odor of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Karen Odor of Seminole; one daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Montia Robbins of Earlsboro; one sister-in-law, Joyce Williams of Seminole; four grandchildren, Lisa Grimes of Tecumseh, Shannon Grimes of El Reno, Justin Odor and Kaytie Odor both of Seminole; two great-grandchildren, Peyton Grimes of Electra, Texas and Elijah Kidwell of Tecumseh and a host of other dear family and friends.
George is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Lloyd Eugene Odor; five sisters, Lucille Farnum, Harriett Teague, Lucille Osborn, Fay Cauthorn, and Elsie Rider.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Rick Marquis, Leslie Williams, Elijah Kidwell, Tim King, Aaron Davidson and Shawn Robbins.
Honorary bearers will be the Men’s Sunday School Class of Harvey Road Baptist Church.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Mildred Osborn
Mildred Elizabeth Osborn, 96 year-old, Seminole resident died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 at Golden Rule Nursing Home in Shawnee.
She was born Jan. 16, 1916 in Spaulding to parents John B. Bernard and Sarah (Glover) Bernard.
She was a homemaker who moved to Seminole 15 years ago from Eunice, New Mexico.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald Westmoland of Seminole and Allen Osborn of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one daughter, Mary Ann Brown of River Crest, California, seven grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband William Otto Osborn.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 at Little Cemetery with Rev. Russell Baker officiating.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Lola Osuna
Lola Jewel Pratt Osuna died Friday, June 8, 2012 in Concord.
She was born at home in Seminole, Nov 14, 1924 to parents Thomas and Minnie Pratt.
She attended Peak High School near Chickasha.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Minnie Pratt; her brothers, Upton and Herb Pratt; her son, Jerry Goss and her husband, Eugene Peter Osuna.
She is survived by her sister, Dessie Weir of Casa Grande, Az; three daughters, Mildred Rogovoy of Bakersfield Ca, Darlene Field of Lincoln Ca and Jeanine Osuna Smith of Pleasant Hill Ca; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.
A Catholic Mass will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 10:00 am. at Corpus Christi Church, San Francisco. Services will be officiated by Msgr. James Tarantino.

Bill Ott
Dr. Bill J. Ott, loved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Jan 27th, 2012 in Lubbock, Texas at the age of 88 years.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb 2, 2012 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Ott family plots located in the Butner Cemetery, Butner, OK.
Bill Ott was born in Wewoka, on Sept 10, 1923, the older of two children born to Loy and Thelma Coston Ott.
He served as a seaman in the US Navy during WWII.
He earned his B.S., M.S., and PhD degrees in soil chemistry and plant nutrition from Oklahoma State University.
Upon graduation, he joined the staff of Panhandle A & M College as assistant professor of Agronomy.
In 1958, Dr. Ott received a National Science Foundation Faculty Fellowship for advance study in plant nutrition.
During his career, Dr. Ott was Director of the Panhandle Experiment Station, Professor of soils at A & M College, Director of the East TX research center and Director of the Lubbock A & M research center, where he retired.
Dr. Ott was a 32nd degree Mason/Shriner.
He completed the Oklahoma State University Flight Training Program and was a licensed aircraft pilot and he was former President, Vice President and honorary member of the Lubbock Gem and Mineral Society.
His hobbies included gourmet Cooking, traveling, and lapidary.
His wife Mable Christine Ott preceded his death in 2011 and his son Richard Kent Ott in 1999.
He is survived by his two grandchildren Derrick Loy Ott and Pamela Kaye Ott, his great granddaughter Michaela Lyssy Ott: daughter-in-law Phyllis Ott, all of Lubbock; his sister Freda Lofties of Albuquerque, NM.
The family suggest that memorials be made to the Shriners Hospital of children.
Fredda Pack
Fredda Elaine (Clough) Pack, 67 year-old, longtime Seminole resident passed from this life July 25, 2012 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was born July 28, 1944 in Duncan, Oklahoma to parents Fred Clough and Dorothy (DeShazo) Clough.
Following High School Fredda went on to earn her bachelors degree from Oklahoma State University. On November 23, 1976 Fredda married J.R. Pack at the First Baptist Church in Bowlegs, Oklahoma.
Fredda worked as a bookkeeper over 30 years for Dan and Darlene Wallace at Columbus Oil Company in Seminole.
Fredda leaves to cherish her memory her father, Fred Clough of Seminole, Oklahoma; her husband of almost 36 years, J.R. Pack of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, John Whalon and his wife Misti of Allen, Texas, Don Pack and his wife Toni of Murphy, Texas, Dale Pack and his wife Monica of Norman, Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Dennis Clough and his wife Jewell of Garland, Texas; 6 grandchildren, Ashlei Pack, Derrick Pack, Brandon Whalon, Courtney Pack, Paige Pack and Zoe Whalon; 2 great-grandchildren, Hayley Pack and Mylee Pack; and a host of other family and dear friends.
Fredda is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Clough and by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Garland and Odis Pack.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating the service. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole.
Casket Bearers will be: Steve Nelson, Tim Poplin, Max Hause, Richard Worley, Stan Kiker and Harold Poulter.
Honorary Bearers will be: Brandon Whalon, Derrick Pack, Clark Campbell and Darlene Wallace.
