ADA — Services for Pauline Logue Maddox, 75, Ada, are 2 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Tom Hall officiating. Burial follows at Jesse Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Maddox died March 29, 2004, at her home. She was born June 21, 1928, at Lamesa, Texas, to Hollie Spencer and Mary Elizabeth Hudson Lunsford. She lived in this area until she was 13, then moved to California. She attended Eureka grade school.
She returned to the Ada area in 1977 and was a grocery store clerk for 25 years. She was a member of the Retail Clerk's Union #1179 and the Church of Christ.
She and Leon "Dub" Maddox were married in 1983 at Las Vegas, Nev. He died Oct. 11, 1999.
Mrs. Maddox was preceded in death by her first husband, Hosie Elvan Logue.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Logue, Ada; a son, Eldon Duane Logue, Norman; three stepsons, Dalton Maddox, Allen Maddox and Mike Maddox, all of California; two sisters, Margaret May, Tupelo, and Helen Chambers, Ada; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Bearers are Kevin Mann, Jeff Anderson, Chris Delk, Rusty Pickens, Everett Pickens and Robert Pickens Jr.
Honorary bearers are Donny Mann, Richard Grimes, Billy May and Ricky May.

Mrs. Emery died May 31, 2004, at her home. She was born Feb. 11, 1924, at Boswell, Okla. to Paul Whitehead and Clara Alfred.
She and Lincoln Emery were married Nov. 26, 1996, at Stonewall. He died May 26, 2000.
Mrs. Emery had resided in the Konawa area for 50 years and was retired from Konawa City Hall where she worked as a secretary. She was a Baptist and a member of Mount Zion Christian Church.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Geraldine Osborne.
Survivors include three daughters, B.J. Potts and husband Billy, Konawa, Bertha Dirk, Bethany, and Lynn Cofield and husband Freddie, Oklahoma City; her mother, Clara Alfred, Konawa; a brother, Eugene “Lucky” White, Oklahoma City; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

KATY, Texas — Graveside services for Charlotte Herrin Scott, 73, Katy, formerly of Ada, Okla., are 11 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery, the Rev. Ray Talbott officiating.
Mrs. Scott died Feb. 1, 2004, at Houston. She was born April 14, 1930, at Ada to Cyrus T. and Eitheal Caperton Herrin. She attended grade school at Ada and was a graduate of Ada High School.
She and Robert D. Scott were married Feb. 22, 1957, at Wichita, Kan. He died July 23, 1984, at Houston.
Mrs. Scott was employed in the real estate industry and was a member of Second Baptist Church, Houston.
Survivors include a brother, Mark Herrin, Houston; a nephew, Jason Herrin, Houston; a niece, Lisa Vaquedano, Oklahoma City; a sister-in-law, Doris Herrin, Cookson; and two cousins, Doris”Billie” Cole, Fort Scott, Kan., and Jerry Herrin, Santa Ana, Calif.

ADA — A memorial service for Terry Olney Blackburn, 62, will be held at a future date.
Mr. Blackburn died May 17, 2004, aboard ship in the Mediterranean between Turkey and Crete. He was born Nov. 25, 1942, in Ada to J.B. and Jane Kerr Blackburn.
He spent his childhood in New Jersey and attended Bucknell University and the University of Illinois, graduating with a degree in structural engineering. He served in the 8th Army as an ammunitions officer in South Korea and was discharged in 1971.
He was employed by S.T. Peterson and Co. in New Jersey as an engineer and draftsman. He opened his own business, Blackburn Engineering, in Princeton, N.J. After merging with an architectural firm, he renamed the business Blackburn Engineering and Associates.
Survivors include his wife, Marie, of the home; a son, James Olney Blackburn, and daughter-in-law, Diedra Carole Blackburn; a daughter, Donna Marie Blackburn, and her husband, Dan McKay; a stepson, Cory Unkel, and his wife, Carrie Unkel; and four grandchildren, Dustin, Jacob, Adam and Jessica.

Mr. Ward died Sunday, May 30, 2004, at Fort Worth. He was born March 22, 1925, at Maxwell, Okla.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine Ward, of the home; one son, Michael Ward and wife Karen, Charlotte, N.C.; two daughters, Glenda Jolene Lee and husband Kenneth, Iowa Park, and Patricia Ann Geer and husband Leo, Westminster, Texas; one sister, Joyce Gish and husband Berlin “Okie,” Oklahoma City; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great- great-grandchildren.

ADA — Memorial services for Marian Francis Jacobus, 94, Ada, will be held in California.
Mrs. Jacobus died May 26, 2004, at Ada. She was born July 11, 1909, at Lemoore, Calif. to Burton and Francis Rhinehart Moyer.
She graduated from Lemoore High School and San Jose State College with a B.S. degree.
She taught school at Hanford, Calif., for 37 years. She played the piano at Hanford First Methodist Church, where she was a member. She moved to Ada from Santa Clara, Calif., in 2002.
She married Gerald L. Jacobus in 1932 at Lemoore. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a sister.
Survivors include two sons, Burton Leland Jacobus, Hanford, and James Allen Jacobus, Santa Clara; a daughter, Barbara Arrington, Ada; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Ballard died Saturday, May 29, 2004, at his home. He was born May 18, 1935, at Ada to W. E. “Bill” and Flora Jones Ballard. He attended school at Irving and Ada Junior High.
Mr. Ballard operated a grocery store in Ada, and in 1968, he and his wife Pat were the co-administrators of Ballard Manor Nursing Home in Allen, and he continued to be the vice president of Ballard Nursing Home Corp. until 1986. Later, he was a truck driver for Delbert Taylor Produce and Tom E. Boggs until his retirement.
He married Patricia Howell May 16, 1959. He was affiliated with the Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Virgie Weems, Norma Jean and Ruth Ballard.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Ballard, of the home; two sons, Michael Dean Ballard and wife Robin, Tupelo, and William Edgar “Bill” Ballard and wife Charlotte, Asher; one daughter, Deborah Ellison and friend Joe Mathis, Calvin; three sisters, Willie Reed and husband Merle, Ada, Rita Park and husband Jim, Sasakwa, and Yvonne Pruitt and husband, Dexter, Ada; one brother, Eddy Ballard and wife Merle, Ada; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Bearers are Vonnita Lynn Ruiz, Michael Scott Ballard, Jacob Lee Ballard, Paul Ruiz, Chrystina Lynn Winton, Landon Winton, Richard Pearce and David Ballard.
