George Russell, III. died March 7, 2012 in Seminole, at the age of 54.
He was born on Sept 30, 1957 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to George Russell, Jr. and Rosemary (Wantland).
George worked at the Seminole Oil Museum and at the 4 Mile Gas and Grocery Store.
He is survived by his mother Rosemary Russell of Miami, Oklahoma, two sons, George Russell IV. of Stillwater, and Jimmie Russell of Fayetteville, NC., four daughters; Lindsey Russell of Norman, Ashley Russell of Newalla, Sunny Russell of Norman, and Trixie Russell of Newalla.
He is preceded in death by his father, George Russell, Jr.
A Memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church in Miami, Oklahoma.
Contributions may be sent to the Seminole Oil Museum, 1800 Wrangler Blvd. in memory of George.
Geraldine Rutherford
Funeral service for Geraldine Tucker Rutherford, age 87 are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb 18, 2012 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Born in Bogata, Texas on March 4th, 1924 to Eukley Tink Tucker and Madge Lena (Guest) Tucker. She passed away on Wednesday evening Feb 15th, 2012 in McAlester.
She was a graduate of Wewoka High School and later worked at Oakridge Nursing Center as an LPN.
Geraldine was a stamp and book collector. She loved cooking, reading books, and working with her flowers.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Wewoka.
On March 8, 1946 she married Warren Rutherford in Stonewall, Oklahoma and later on January 2006 they renewed vowels.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Warren, sons Bob Rutherford, Ernie Beirman, Stephen Rutherford, Mark Rutherford, and Warren Rutherford, two brothers Durward Tucker and Donald Joe Tucker.
Survivors include daughters Donna Johnson of Yukon, OK, Sheila Latimer and Janie Melton both of McAlester, OK; one son Stanley Rutherford of Lawton, OK; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren, numerous, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Pall Bearers will be Ken Johnson, Guy Tucker, Barry Tucker, Chris Johnson, Clint Griffin, Rhett King, and Dalton King.
Arrangements are by Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Geraldine Rutherford
Geraldine Tucker-Rutherford, age 87, passed away Feb. 15, 2012 in McAlester, Okla.
Geraldine was born in Bagota, TX., on May 4, 1924 to Eukley and Madge Tucker.
Her family moved to Wewoka where she grew up and attended Wewoka schools. She was a graduate of Wewoka High School and later graduated from Byng Vo-Tech with her LPN license in 1975.
After obtaining her LPN license she began her career in nursing by working at Oakridge Nursing Center.
She enjoyed reading books, being entertained by her grandchildren, preparing wonderful holiday meals, nature and being outdoors.
One of her greatest enjoyments was taking care of others as a LPN.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wewoka.
On March 8, 1947 she married Warren Suge Rutherford in Stonewall, Okla. The couple renewed their vows on Jan. 22, 2006.
Survivors include her three daughters; Janie Melton and husband Roger, Sheila Latimer and husband Jerry, and Donna Johnson and companion Mary Stoddard; her son, Stanley Rutherford and wife Barbera; daughter-in-laws Jeanine Rutherford, Singrid Rutherford, and Barbera Rutherford, brother Ted Tucker; 22 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Donald Joe Tucker and Durwood Tucker, her husband Warren Rutherford; and five sons Steven, Mark, Ernie, Warren, and Bob.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka.
Pall Bearers will be Kenneth Johnson, Chris Johnson, Barry Tucker, Guy Tucker, Clint Griffin, and Evan McGee.

Elijah Saunders
Elijah Lane Saunders, infant son of Cody A. and Tara Sue (Mason) Saunders, former Seminole residents, Cody now serving in the U.S. Marine Corp., Elijah died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, in Oklahoma City.
In addition to his parents Cody and Tara Saunders of Oklahoma City, he is survived by two brothers, Nathaniel A. Saunders and Alexander R. Saunders and a sister, Anna Sample all of the home in Oklahoma City; his grandparents, Terry R. Mason, Walter and Pattie Saunders, Cindy S. Lynch, Stan L. Powell, Allen D. O’Bryant and Beth O’Bryant and Great Grandpa Duskin, Great Grandma and Grandpa O’Bryant and Great Grandma Saunders. Aunt June and Mike Hume; Aunt Kim, Aunt Kelly and Uncle Matthew Campbell and Uncle Justin and Michelle Whetstone.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole with burial at Little Cemetery. Chaplin Stephen Hicks of the U.S. Air Force will officiate at the service.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Vesta Schumacher
Vesta Pearl (Roberts) Schumacher, 63 year-old Seminole resident passed from this life Wednesday, Feb 29, 2012 at her home in Seminole surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Sept 13, 1948 in Dalhart, Texas to parents James Farris Roberts and Ethel (Etheridge) Roberts.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Missy Wiley of Seminole, Cynthia and Brad Bianchi of Oklahoma City; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jerry Roberts of Newcastle, Ronnie and Donna Stubblefield of Stratford; two sisters, Mary Hope Jackson of Wynnewood, Sharon Brock Roberts of Seminole; four grandchildren, Sharisse Regan of Seminole, Cody Scheoemann, Justin Marsley and Alex Scheoemann all of Oklahoma City; and a host of other family and dear friends.
Her parents precede Mrs. Schumacher in death.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Russell Vicars will officiate the service.

Michael Scott
Wake service for Michael James Scott, age 49 were scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Alabama Quarsarty Nutrients Center, Wetumka. Rev. Houston Tiger officiated.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Alabama Quarsarty Nutrients Center, Wetumka and burial to follow at Cornell Cemetery.
The body was taken to Alabama Quarsarty Nutrients Center at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Gibson, Devin Gibson, Wilson Yargee, Christopher Wolf, Morris Harjo, Phillip Botone, Stephen Botone, and Robbie Raines.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Gibson, Larry Botone, and T.C. Martin.
He was born Sept. 2, 1962 in Wetumka to Gilbert and Margie (Fish) Scott of Wetumka.
He died Saturday, May 19th, 2012 in Okmulgee.
He married Cheryl Coonhead June 28, 1985.
He worked for Creek Nation as a Janitor and Puckett Wrecker Service in OKC.
Preceding him in death is son, Kevin Daukei.
Survivors include his wife Cheryl of the home; children, Curtis Scott of Oklahoma City and Janelle Scott of Okmulgee; parents, Gilbert and Margie Scott; one brother and three sisters and one granddaughter.
Arrangements are by Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Dale Selfridge
Dale Selfridge, 72, of Allen died Jan. 30, 2012, in Richardson.
Memorial services will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church in Allen with a reception to follow.
Arrangements are by Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home of McKinney.
Dale was born Nov. 22, 1939, in Sasakwa, Okla., to James Thomas and Lillie Mae Hawkins Selfridge.
On July 16, 1965, Dale married Carrie Figgins in Amarillo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bill Selfridge and J.T. Selfridge; and a sister, Naomi Wheless.
Survivors include his wife, Carrie Selfridge of Allen; a daughter, Cristie Liles of Highland Village; a grandson; three sisters, Chersie Davis of Allen, Mildred Churchman of Spanaway, Wash., and Juanita Williams of Enid, Okla.; and a host of other family and friends.
The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church, 601 S. Greenville Ave., Allen, TX 75002.
Damien Sewell
Funeral services for Damien Drake Sewell, age 17, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Harjo and Rev. Houston Tiger officiating.

He died February 29, 2012 in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.
He was born Oct. 28, 1994 in Shawnee to Charles "Chuck" and Tambra Sewell.
Survivors include his father of Nebraska, mother of the Seminole home; two brothers Darius Nate Sewell and Daquery Lorde Sewell of the home; four sisters, Cali Tianna Sewell, Lexus Aleecia Sewell and Adanya Annette Sewell all of the home, and Chyna King of Wewoka and his grandparents.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Nieman Sewell, Rickey Cline Jr., Merrick Sewell, Joshua Roberts, Darius Lowe, and Robert Brannon.
James Sharp
James Agnew "Jim" Sharp, age 66, of Peck, KS, passed away suddenly Friday, June 15, 2012, at home.
Visitation is 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, with family receiving friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 22, at Westside Freewill Baptist Church, 3310 W. McArthur, Wichita.
Jim, or "Ag", as he was known growing up in Wewoka was in the army for 19 years and later in the National Guard in Wichita.
He retired from Boeing/Spirit after 19 years.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Billie Sharp; brothers, Grady and Doug and a sister, Rebecca.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Janet; his children from a previous marriage, Shannon and Kelly; stepson, Kirk Cattrell, Peck; stepdaughter, Lori (Andy) Pruitt, Wichita; brother, David (Julie), Lees Summit, MO; several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is with his loved ones in heaven now.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association.
