Linda Sharp, age 68, resident of Tulsa died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 in Wewoka.
She retired from Citgo Petroleum.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at Tulsa Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Moore’s Eastlawn Chapel in Tulsa.
Paul Sharp
Paul Anthony Alex "Herb" Sharp, 42, Ada resident died on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 at his home in Ada.
He was born April 26, 1970 in Wewoka.
He married Kimberly Lucille Barber on March 9, 1989 in Ada.
He worked as a bowling mechanic at the Chickasaw Nation Laser Zone in Ada.
He was a member of the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly (Barber) Sharp of the home; two daughters, Shaylee Sharp of Holdenville, and Tori Rashelle Sharp of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Adam Stafford and David Stafford both of Wewoka; one sister, Melissa Stafford of Wewoka; three grandchildren with one on the way; and mother, Cleatha Williams of Wewoka;
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Melba and Frank Owens; two brothers, Tim and Jimmy Dale Owens, and by one grandson, Emmit King Bertschy.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Bro. McNealy officiating. Interment will follow at the (Sally Marcy) Tiger Family Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Matthew Barber, Timmy Owens, Adam Stafford, David Stafford, Anthony Barber and Cody Story.
Honorary bearers will be Mitchell Barber, Shelby Barber, Nathan Barber, Steve Cordell and Justin Bertschy.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Terry Sharp
Terry Lea (Hughes) Sharp, age 57 and a resident of Asher died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012 at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 at Vista Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa. Ronnie Lunsford will officiate.
She was born March 7, 1955 in Oklahoma City to Glen Dale and Geneva (Menser) Hughes.
She married Jim Sharp on June 10, 1977 in DeQueen, Arkansas.
She was a surgical technician and worked for Carl Albert Hospital in Ada.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Sharp of the home; parents, Glen and Geneva Hughes of Gaar Corner, Oklahoma; one son, Michael Sharp of Asher; one daughter, Rachele Lowry of Asher; one brother, Larry Hughes of Gaar Corner, Oklahoma; two sisters, Glenda Isaacs of Shawnee, and Pam Hughes of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Quinton Pitts, Kyleigh Lowry, and Jacob Lowry.
Troy Sharp
Troy Francis Sharp, 89, of Konawa died on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Unity Health Center in Shawnee from complications of pneumonia.
He was born to Samuel Martin and Mary Pearl (Neil) Sharp on Feb. 22, 1923 in Bakersfield, Missouri.
He attended school at Georgetown and Konawa.
He went on to work in the Civilian Conservation Corps Camp in Colorado during Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal.
He married Audrey Dobbins at Maud on July 11, 1944.
He worked in the oil field as a pumper, roustabout, and more until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Verlene (Dobbins) Sharp, of Konawa; his grandson, Brandon Thomas Sharp of Shawnee; his parents, Samuel Martin and Mary Pearl (Neil) Sharp and his siblings, Neil Sharp, Hobart Sharp, Haskell Sharp, Ralph Sharp, Gladys Perks, Deborah Bartholme, Louie Sharp, and Audrey Denny.
He is survived by his children, Tom and Mary Sharp of Shawnee; Sharyn Taylor of Owasso and Janet Mullins of Konawa; his grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Konawa Cemetery with Philip Mullins officiating.
Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home of Maud is in charge of the arrangements.

C.J. Shatswell
C.J. Shatswell was born Dec 12, 1972 in Tulsa to Coubis Lenn Shatswell and Dolores Kay Lancaster Shatswell and passed away from this life suddenly at his home in Wetumka at the age of 39.
C.J. came to Wetumka with his family as a child in 1982.
He attended the Wetumka School and was a 1991 graduate of Wetumka High School.
As a young man he worked with his father in drywall construction.
On Feb 24, 1995 C.J. married Teresa Patricia Fish. They made Wetumka their lifelong home.
In 2008, Shatswell became a sales associates in electronics at the Seminole Wal-Mart.
C.J. enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also artistic and loved to draw and work with wood. However, the thing he enjoyed most was the time he was able to spend with his family and friends.
C.J. was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wetumka.
Shatswell is survived by Teresa Shatswell of Wetumka; five children, Nicole Fish and Kasi, Misty, Trey, and Shaye Shatswell, all of the home; two sisters, Jodie Crump (David) of Wetumka and Michelle Hasnauer (R.J) of Davie, Florida; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Shatswell is preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Armstrong, Dustin Meirs, Bill Stevens, Nathan Palmer, Billy Tiger and Patrick Nolan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Johnson and Russell Gode.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Wetumka with Rev. Darrell Gibbs and Rev. Claude Butler, officiating.
Interment will be in the Wetumka Cemetery under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka.
Sybil Shawn
Sybil Muriel Shawn, 89, former longtime area resident died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in Hackett, Arkansas.
She was born Aug. 2, 1922 in Okmulgee to James William and Ruby Sloan (Rutherford) McDowell.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Cagle Shawn.
Survivors include one son, Rueben Cagle of Pampa, Texas; one brother, Jim McDowell of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Laura of Hawaii, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 23, 2012 at Wolf Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Joella Shelley
Joella Anna (Bedford) Shelley passed away at the age of 66 at her home in Seminole on May 8, 2012.
Graveside services will be held on June 2, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Bower Cemetery in Eufaula.
Joella Ann (Bedford) Shelley was born on Nov. 30, 1945 to Thomas Bedford and Bertha (Guinn) Bedford in rural Eufaula.
She attended Fame and Stidham schools.
She graduated from Stidham High School in 1964.
She worked for many years as a baker and dietary cook.
She became disabled in 2001.
Joella was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thomas, Joseph Roy, Clifford and Jackey Bedford; sisters, Johnnie Kirkpactrick, Betty Rodgers, Patricia (Pat) Wilson and Sharon Bedford.
She is survived by her son, Aaron Jennings and wife Angela of Seminole and daughter, Krista Jennings of Seminole; grandchildren, Chad Jennings and wife Lindsey, Zachary Jennings and girlfriend Ericka McCombs, Chase Jennings, Brandon Jennings and Zane Jennings, all of Seminole; Ashleigh Jennings of Shawnee, Whittney Jennings of Meeker; one great granddaughter, Aaliah Jennings; brother, Jim Bedford of Coweta, brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Sandy Bedford of Broken Arrow, brother and sister-in-law, Orville and Pauline Bedford of Sacramento, CA, sister, Billie Branon of Salinas, CA; brother-in-law and sister, Jackie and Edith Blevins of Tulsa and a host of relatives and friends.
She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and most of all a great friend.
She will forever and greatly be missed by all.
Nothing will ever be the same without her.
Aubrey Shirley
Aubrey Shirley, 79, longtime Seminole resident died, Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012.
He was born Sept. 1, 1933 in Elmore, Oklahoma, to Clyde and Essie (Dennis) Shirley.
Shirley was a retired self-employed welder. He owned and operated Shirley’s Welding for many years.
He moved to Seminole 24 years ago from Ratliff City, Oklahoma.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1957 as an Airman 2nd Class with the 85th Bomb Squadron. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the D.A.V.
Aubrey married Mary Frances Froese on Dec. 7, 1987 in Gainesville, Texas, she preceded him in death on May 3, 2012.
Aubrey loved to go camping, fishing and hunting and play cards.
He loved spending time with his family and always had a joke to tell; He was a very good storyteller.
He also enjoyed his Air Force reunions and seeing all his "Air Force Buddies" at the 85th Bomb Squadron Reunions.
Two sons, Phillip Keith Shirley and his wife Carmelita of Ardmore and Kirk Douglas "Corkey" Shirley of Tulsa; two daughters, Janet Lea Morrow of Graham, Oklahoma and Anita Kay O’Steen and her husband Don of Seminole; one sister, Tootsie Ellen Kinslow of Pauls Valley survive him. Eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive him.
His parents and his wife, Mary Shirley, May 3, 2012; two sisters, Leta Mae Beddo and Lavada McCurley; a brother, Wendall Shirley and a great grandson, Ricky Don Moore III, preceded him in death.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday Oct. 6, 2012 at the Bowlegs Assembly of God Church, Bowlegs with Rev. Roy Robertson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Foster Cemetery, Foster, Oklahoma.
Casket bearers will be his grandsons and nephews.
