Margaret Thetford

Funeral services for Margaret Bell (Bunch) Thetford, 81 of Holdenville are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb 8, 2012 at the Hudson Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville. Brother Mack Peercy and Brandon Thetford will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Josh Thetford, Jake Thetford, Hayden Stewart, Brad Keefer and Chad Goodson.

Honorary bearers will be Wayne Keefer, Wade Berry, Scott Tabares, Clester Wingo, Bill Bunch, Earl Cook, Shane Thetford.

Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery, Holdenville, under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.

Thetford died Feb 6, 2012 in Holdenville.

She was born March 7, 1930 to Roy Floyd Bunch and Ruby (Loftis) Bunch in Holdenville.

Ms. Thetford married Winford Thetford in 1948 in Mena, Arkansas.

Thetford worked as a a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for three years. After this time she worked as an LPN for thirty years for Boyce Manor Nursing Home in Holdenville.

Preceding her in death are her parents, siblings Floyd Bunch and Leslie Bunch.

Survivors include her children, Steve Thetford of Hutchinson, Kansas, Mitzi Berry of Holdenville, Tim Thetford of Seminole, 18 grandchildren and 12 great-granchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations could be made to the American Cancer Society.

Homer Thompson Jr.

Homer Thompson, Jr. was born Aug. 23, 1938 to Homer and Castello Thompson in Wewoka.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. John AME.

Homer loved playing golf and watching golf. He would take over your television when visiting you to find a golf channel.

Preceding him in death are parents, Homer and Castello Thompson, sisters, Valerie Street and Jean Madkins.

Survivors include five sons, Homer Thompson III, Jerry Thompson, Cory Thompson, Jimmy Thompson and Jason Thompson; two sisters, Arneith Jones, Willie M. Jones and one brother, Alfred W. Thompson; a number of grandchildren and nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Macedomia Baptist Church in Wewoka.

Donald Thompson

Sasakwa resident Donald Ernest Thompson passed away Monday, April 30, 2012 at his home in Sasakwa at the age of 88 years.

He was born Dec. 30, 1923 in Spiro to the late Ernest Elmer Thompson and Ida Gertrude (Norman) Thompson.

Donald married Marnell Awbrey, May 12, 1947 in Fresno, CA.

He worked for Dolese Company as scale operator for many years.

He loved reading the Bible, Coon hunting, raising goats, and baby chickens.

Thompson served in the US Army as a Tec 5 May 1943 and discharged December 1945.

He served with the US Army at the invasion of Normandy receiving the WWII Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Silver Service Star.

He was a faithful member of Sasakwa Assembly of God Church.

Preceding him in death are his parents, and brother T.J. Biggs.

Survivors include wife, Marnell of the home; children, Thana Spears and husband Tommy of Sasakwa and Danny Thompson of Sasakwa; sisters, Opal Moody and Bernice Combs; grandchildren, Glania and husband JB Trimble of Seminole, Franky Eberle and wife Tami of Konawa, Bryan Eberle and wife Amy of Sasakwa, Quitha Gratrix and husband Jeff of Denison, TX, Daniel Thompson of Sasakwa; great-grandchildren, Secily Cleere and husband Kurtis, Seth Trimble, Colby Eberle, Cale Eberle, Peyton Eberle, Paige Eberle, Pake Eberle Paxton Eberle, Zade Gage, Zeke Gage, Nikko Gratrix and Rusty Taylor and one great-great-grandchild Awbrey Cleere.

Pall bearers will be Bryan Eberle, Franky Eberle, Daniel Thompson, J.B. Trimble, Seth Trimble, and Kurtis Cleere.

Honorary bearers will be Steven Nail, Johnny Trimble, Richard Warnick, Lonnie Faulks, Billy Walls, Darrell Elliott, Tim Brady, Jimmie Freeman and Josh Puntka.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Sasakwa Assembly of God Church Sasakwa with Rev.Calvin Combs officiating and burial at Oakwood Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Fannie Thompson

Fannie Thompson was born in Noble Town, Oklahoma to Rev. Aaron and Jennie Jackson.

She attended school in the Noble town area.

She worked as a school cafeteria worker, nursing home aide and did private housekeeping.

She married Johnny E. Thompson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Johnny E. Thompson; children, Veney E. Thompson, Johnny Thompson Jr. and baby Larry Thompson; siblings Rev. A.D. Jackson, Rev. Millard (Kitty) Jackson, Nathaniel (Shorty) Jackson, Josephine Bradshaw, Lena Parker, Lorraine Jackson, and baby Dimples Jackson;

She is survived by children, Shirley Lee, Jennone Jones, Verletta Shells, Portia Thompson, Vernita Henderson, Randall Thompson, Renae Perry, Cheryl Brooks and Winford Thompson; siblings, Roselma Figures, and Rev. Aaron (Jr) Jackson; 29 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at First Baptist Church, Wewoka, with Rev. L.R. Drinkwater, Sr. officiating and burial to follow at Westwood Cemetery, Wewoka.

Arrangements are by Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Services pending at this time with Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

James Thompson

James "Jim" Douglas Thompson, 69 died May 8, 2012 in Oklahoma City.

He was born April 5, 1943 to Willie "Ted" and Rosa (Jackson) Thompson in Spaulding.

He attended school in Spaulding until the age of 15 when he began working as a floor hand in the oilfield. He progressed in his oilfield career and became a driller.

He married Melba Peters in May 1967 in Holdenville.

He was drafted and served his country in the United States Army. He was stationed primarily in Germany.

He attended welding school in Sulphur Springs and began his own company afterwards.

He returned to the oilfield to work as a driller until his retirement a few years ago.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Melba and granddaughter, Jessica.

Survivors include his daughter, Gwenda Hull of Seminole; five grandchildren; siblings, Ronald Thompson of Holdenville, Johnny Thompson of Oklahoma City, Linda Pierce of Guthrie and Patricia Ramsey of Griffithville, Arkansas.

A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, May 11, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Yeager Cemetery with military honors. Rev. Terry Prather will be officiating.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville.

Terrance Thompson

Terrance Terry Ray Thompson, 25 year-old Seminole resident died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, in Seminole.

He was born April 17, 1987 in Oklahoma City to parents, Alan Ray Scott and Elizabeth Thompson.

Terrance had been working as a plumber’s apprentice at Cactus Plumbing in Seminole.

Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth A. Thompson of Midwest City; father, Alan Ray Scott of Spencer; one son, Blaiden Tyree Thompson of Seminole and another child is soon to be born; girlfriend Felicia Rumbo; he also has eight brothers, Anthony, Rayon, Lonell, Alan, Travon, Tayon, Travis Sherod and Cody Horton; nine sisters, Shysheka, Charita, Reanett, Shantrel, Share, Miranda Rose, Cory Vaughn and Danielle Sherod; maternal grandmother Elma Rindle and guardians Robyn Horton and Elizabeth Kimble; and a host of other family and dear friends.

One sister, Tosha, Maternal grandfather, Clearview Thompson, paternal grandfather, Albert Bersie, precedes him in death.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Amazing Grace Pentecostal Holiness Church in Seminole, Oklahoma with Sister Pat officiating.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Trueman Thompson

Trueman "T.I." Thompson, 85, of Amarillo died Wednesday, March 21, 2012.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Cox Funeral Home with Charlie Cox officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Trueman was born March 28, 1926, in Konawa, to Charles P. and Audra Mae Blagg Thompson.

He attended Friona High School.

He married Enoree Hodges on Oct. 28, 1944, in Hereford.

Trueman spent the majority of his working life as a truck driver and retired from Kraft Foods.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Enoree Thompson; two brothers, Verdane Thompson and Laveral Thompson; and a sister, Mona Dean Thompson.

Survivors include his son, Roger Thompson of Amarillo; a daughter, Regina Hallford of Amarillo; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Verdale Thompson, Devon Thompson and Bill Thompson; and a sister, Lois Ward.

Verna Thornbrugh

Verna Louise Thornbrugh, 86 of Madill, passed away Friday, Feb 3, 2012 at the hospital in Madill, Oklahoma.

She was born on May 5, 1925 in Henrietta, to the late Wilbur Hinman and Jessie Elizabeth Higgins Hinman.

Verna was raised in the Seminole area and graduated from New Lima High School.

She married Robert Frank Thornbrugh on Jan 1, 1945 in Tulsa. He preceded her in death on Aug 22, 2009.

Verna moved to Wewoka, Drumright and to Okemah before moving back to Wewoka.

In 1984, when Robert retired from the ministry they moved to Bridgeview where she lived the rest of her life.

Verna was a member of the Bowlegs Baptist Church and she enjoyed writing for the Madill Record and the Bridgeview Report.

She also enjoyed reading, singing, fishing and loved her animals. Her greatest love was her family.

She is survived by children, Alan Thornbrugh of Bonney Lake, Washington; Cheryl Morton of Irving, Texas; three grandchildren, Ricky Allen Thornbrugh of Seattle, Washington; Melissa Shields of Irving, Texas and Diana Morton, also of Irving, Texas; four great grandchildren, Ashley and Cole Thornbrugh, Tristan Whaley and Andrew Shields.

Verna was preceded in death by her parents, father and one son; Robert Frank Thornbrugh Jr.

Visitation will be Tuesday at 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Watts Funeral Home in Madill.

Services will be Wednesday, Feb 8, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Little Cemetery, Seminole, Oklahoma. Bill Chesser will officiate the service. Music arranged by La Tresa Jolly.

Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma.
